Okay so this was such a pleasant experience! First of all it's a pretty small dining area but I believe it is beautifully decorated showing a little bit of the culture. They also added Valentine's Day decorations in light of the holiday. Now I've only ever tried a handful of Peruvian food spots so this was something I was particularly looking forward to. The service was pleasant- our server was very attentive and accommodating throughout our visit. The food though? Wow! I thoroughly enjoyed what I ordered and so did my friends (who are big on Peruvian food). Here's what I ordered: "Appetizer": When you sit down, they welcome you with roasted corn kernels coated with salt and their aji sauce. -Roasted Kernels: Alright to me. I took one and then pretty much passed on it. I personally wasn't fond of it but I do hear it is a cultural treat! -Aji Sauce: I enjoyed their aji sauce! It has a bit of a kick to it but is also very creamy which was a pleasant surprise. Entree: -Tacu Tacu with steak, rice and beans, two fried eggs, and onion "salad": this was the STAR of my visit!! You can order 3 different choices of meat with it including chicken, steak, or skirt steak. I went with the steak. I ordered mine medium rare and that's exactly how it came out. The steak was BEAUTIFULLY seasoned and the rice and beans with the egg paired perfectly. The aji helps bring some creaminess to the meal with a big enough kick. The only thing I will say is I thought the rice and beans would come out separate versus mixed into each other. I would've appreciated clarification on that and if it is possible to order them separate even for an extra charge- it's just my personal preference as the rice mixed with the beans did seem a bit dry. Drinks: Inca Kola- the only way! Either this or their Jugos Naturales! I recommend this spot and I personally will be back next time either for the same entree or something different like their Arroz Chaufa or Spaghetti!

We had an incredible experience at this Peruvian restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the warm hospitality and vibrant atmosphere set the tone for a great meal. Whether you're already a fan of Peruvian food or trying it for the first time, this spot is absolutely worth a visit

Food was good . But it was a lot fried , not for my taste. Service was ok. Drinks were good. It's a small cute little place. Maybe our choice of food was not good, it was mostly fried. Not sure if I'll go back.

The fish ceviche is tangy and refreshing. It tasted really good and was made in authentic Peruvian style. The paella was okay: they didn't clean the mussels or clams properly because I could feel some sand in between certain bites. Tbe rice was nothing special, should have been crispier. I also think the seafood was too little for the price of the paella. This is more of rice with seafood than paella. The pesto noodles were interesting. The fried rice was delicious and the steak was good too. Mera's Tip: ceviche

Came by on a Sunday early afternoon. There were no people but it started to fill up around 3:30pm. They have brunch options available earlier. I've tried coming twice during dinner times but they had no availability. I recommend making a reservation for dinner time. I got the Kiss Me Guava Margarita. It was pretty strong but not overpowering. It is a special cocktail for Valentines Day. My friend got the Micchu at Picchu martini. Both drinks were great and they have many more cocktails to choose from. We shared the Lomo Saltado and the Pescado a lo Macho. I loved the tomato sauce with the pescado a lo macho. It had a bit of heat but the touch of cream balanced it out. The fish was tilapia. Seafood tasted very fresh. The rice was super fluffy and aromatic. The steak dish was on top of fluffy fries and the sauce drench the fries perfectly. It was in a flavorful soy based sauce with veggies. There were so many options on the menu and they had two special menus. I would 100000% come again and try more cocktails and dishes! Service was amazing. LOVED the food! Highly recommend both dishes. Pescado a lo Macho was our favorite.

The food is very tasty. The service is great and the ambience is about a 3 to 4 the food, came out on time the appetizers came out first and about 10 minutes after the appetizer the food came out. Everything was time. Good drinks were fine. Parking was good and the staff was very nice.

    Happy Valentines Day!

As soon as Joe and I were notified that our sweet Carilina (formally from Pollo Rico) was working at this recently opened Peruvian restaurant we were there the next day! First I will mention that we were warmly welcomed by Carilina and owner Harry. Since this was the first time dining on Peruvian cuisine the menu was thoroughly explained to us. This small restaurant is simply decorated with limited seating. We comfortably sat at the bar with 2 large screen TV's and enjoyed catching up with Carilina. From cocktails & appetizers to main course & dessert everything was made to perfection. We really enjoyed the Peruvian spices and flavor. Portion were hardy and pricing is very resonable. Plenty to take home. Glad we tried something different. Looking foward to returning. We wish you the best!!

Was in Selden over the weekend and the wife and I wanted to try out something different. Heard about Picchu and figured it was worth a shot. Highly recommend! The food blew away our expectations and I haven't had sangria this good in a long time. It's located in the small strip right next to Starbucks which is easy to miss. Parking is a little tight especially on a weekend night but don't let that dissuade you. Can't wait to go back and try out a few other things. Snack: corn nuts with a mildly spicy green sauce (which goes great on the fries) App: salchipapas (fries with sliced hot dogs) Dinner: bistec lol pobre (skirt steak, chorizo, plantains, fries, chimichurri and egg w/rice) Tallarin saltado camarones (spaghetti w/ shrimp onions, tomato's, peppers in a medium spicy sauce)

The good- their lomo Saltado and chaufa are spot on and delicious. Their pollo ala brasa is my kids favorite and we regularly order it on Wednesdays when they do their special. Everyone is very friendly but all don't speak English great (luckily my husband is Spanish so we always manage). We have been longtime customers- back to when they were under a different name (flavor point) and across the other side of Meriden. The cons- prices have gone up and portions seem much smaller. My lomo last time barely had any steak. The last time we went for 2 adults and 2 kids (one who only ate a side of rice) it was well over $100 before tip- no apps just meals and 2 drinks. There is no kids menu and nothing they can do to accommodate so you are buying your 2-5 year old a $20 meal they will eat a few bites of . Their pollo ala brasa is not always available- which I get but weekends I feel like it should be and we have gone twice now and had it be unavailable. my son will literally not eat anything else on the menu (as noted no kids options either). He had to sit there and not eat while we ate and get him food from across the way afterwards. One time we got the ceviche and I know the lime juice cooks the fish (believe me I eat ceviche regularly as well as sushi) and this fish was raw. I mentioned it to the waitress and she said it was fine. I couldn't eat it. But still had to pay for the dish which is high priced for the small serving. Cute atmosphere but small so can fill up quickly. Careful in bathroom , had gone a few times and almost fell from slick floor. It was clean but slick- maybe what they're using to clean it.

Something about the sign aesthetic made me think it would be a good place. I Yelp-Searched it, and Lima 32 damn near had a perfect rating based on less than 50 reviews. I'm a Food Blogger. So I try to explore new places and avoid repeating spots I know. I've eaten at Lima 32 three times since January. Lima 32 is a small casual Peruvian spot located in a very small plaza in Meriden. Parking is tough, but they've done a nice job with the aesthetics inside. Lima 32 is also available on DoorDash within a certain area. I've now had the Lomo Saltado, the Arroz Con Marisco and the Chaufa de Pollo. Best Lomo Saltado I've ever had, and I've had a really expensive one at a famous CT spot. It's basically a beef and veggie stir fry. You can see the chef making it with fire in the pan if you have the right seat. The soy and oyster sauce based glaze is good salty. So flavorful and everything is perfectly cooked. Best Arroz Con Marisco I've ever had. It's a saucy Peruvian paella. The sauce (Aji Amarillo) has a well rounded creamy pepper flavor. The seafood, like crab, mussels and shrimp really stand out. I suspect the seafood varies depending on what's available. The Chaufa de Pollo, a Chinese fried rice style dish, was very good too. Huge pieces of chicken. Eat it with the delicious Aji Verde sauce. Is Lima 32 hidden? I don't know. But it sure the hell is a gem. It's must visit. 5 Stars

Milford's restaurant week was happening, and Costa Peru was on my list, so I decided to go there. My family ordered seafood, while I went with the Peruvian Chicken Wings topped with Peruvian Barbecue sauce, Ceviche Chicken Wings, and Lomo Salado. I was particularly curious about the Ceviche wings because I'd never heard of them before. The ceviche sauce is inspired by Aji Limo Ceviche, a lively Peruvian dish featuring fresh, raw white fish like sea bass or flounder "cooked" in lime juice, seasoned with citrusy, spicy Aji Limo peppers, red onions, and cilantro. It's usually served with sweet potato, corn, and leche de tigre (tiger's milk), offering a tart, spicy, and refreshing flavor. The Ceviche wings were fantastic. They had a bright citrus kick, and I could taste all the distinct flavors, including the spices and chilies. They really hit the spot. The barbecue wings were just as enjoyable, with a sweet yet tangy sauce and perfectly seasoned chicken. The Lomo Salado was also a hit; the rice was fluffy and full of flavor, and the tender Lomo meat practically melted in my mouth. For dessert, I ordered the flan. It was my first time trying it, and I was curious about the taste. Honestly, I didn't care much for the texture, but I'm glad I gave it a shot. My son picked the Passion Fruit Cheesecake, which was pretty good. It's not something I'd order again, but I'm glad I tried it. The service was excellent, and I'm definitely looking forward to returning and trying more dishes from the menu.

I wanted to bring my parents some food, but not "fast food". We love Peruvian as it's the closest comfort food we've ever had that is just like home cooking and I know my parents would love it. I found this restaurant online, and the reviews were promising. I ordered on their website and set the pick up time. The payment went through on my end because I received a notification immediately upon paying. When we arrived to the restaurant, I was unsure where to enter. I accidentally entered the dine in restaurant section. They seem to have multiple spaces; a nicer restaurant with dim lighting, neon lights and a lively ambience, a more casual dining area that was empty this particular night, and then a bar section for drinks and takeout. One of the employees walked me over to the pick up area near the bar, and I let them know I placed my order. The woman looks confused and fetched the owner/manager. They claimed my payment never went through. I told them that 100% it did go through as I received a message saying such. They asked for proof of payment. I showed them my online bank account, showing the payment pending. The transaction was made through *their* specific payment set up on the restaurant's website. At this point I began to get irritated. I asked them if my food was ready because I ordered ahead for the main purpose of having the food ready by the time I arrived. They seem to still believe that maybe the payment did not go through and reluctantly began preparing my order. They could definitely sense that I was getting upset and my patients was running thin. They also obviously did not have my food ready so I ended up having to wait longer than anticipated. I had my husband come in with our kid, ordered some shots and a couple drinks. They were nice enough to comp us a couple drinks to make up for the inconvenience. Their natural juices do taste very good. I tried their passion fruit. I got my parents a rotisserie chicken and chaufa. I also tried both and they were great. I ordered myself a tamale but left it out all night and had to throw it away. I'm still pissed about that. They get 3 stars because the food and drinks were good, and they made up for their mistake, but I'm still a bit annoyed at their janky payment system. They're conveniently close to my parents' house so I'll probably try them again but maybe stop by in person and order take out while enjoying a drink at the bar.

There was a classy and welcoming feel to the place. Upon being seated, there were complimentary corn nuts with a savory green sauce. These were tasty and addicting, with a satisfying crunch. I sampled them separately at first, and loved the taste of both. The Purple Corn was delicate and sweet, while the Passionfruit was citrusy and refreshing. I wasn't sure I would them as much together, but it turned out to be a delightful blend. I ordered the Steak with Sausage, along with sides of Tostones, Salad, Rice, and Moro. The Steak had lovely grill marks, was wonderfully tender and well seasoned. The Sausage was juicy and also bursting with flavor. Tostones were perfectly crispy, thin, and oh so flavorful. Some of the best I have tasted! Salad was a nice and colorful mix of corn, purple onion, tomatoes, avocados, bringing a fresh element to the dish. White rice was fluffy and cooked well. The Moro I did not care for, because I found it to be bland. Service was excellent. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I enjoyed my meal here and would return if in the area to try one of the Seafood dishes.
