    Blue Point Oysters

Blue Point is a bit of a hike for us, but we love spending a Sunday afternoon at their Brew Pub. The location is spacious, with a large outdoor seating area during the summer. They offer a variety of beers and speciality drinks that change season to season. They offer a pretty large food menu as well. The last time we went we split a dozen Blue Point oysters, wings and a pretzel. The service was great - quick for a busy Sunday and the food was excellent.

Large, lively spot to enjoy a wide variety of Blue Point ales, lagers, stouts and IPAs. The food is solid for the most part. The fish and chips are on point but the disco fries were a bit salty for me. I'm terms of beer, the Dark Portal stout is flavorful yet filling. The Coffee Pumpkin also tastes quite nice and the higher ABV mashed the calories well worth it. Service is good, with ordering done at the bar.

A must-visit for craft beer lovers. Blue Point Brewery offers a strong lineup of well-crafted beers, a spacious waterfront setting, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The food is solid, the staff is friendly, and the outdoor beer garden makes it a great spot for relaxing with friends. Consistently a great experience.

What a Friday night at BluePoint. They definitely hold some great events. Friday was no cover -cover band "Blink 180-Who"! The house was definitely packed and later on service got a bit slow. One of my biggest pet peeves at bars is lining the counters with chairs, makes it super difficult in getting access to service. Bonus Blue Point had their outside bar open much less crowded but did stop serving food when it got too busy inside. Upstairs also had the West side of the building (where the stage is) bar open also. If you wanted to stand in line a bit there and listen to the Jams. We ordered the cauliflower, pretzel and some wings. Cauliflower were some pretty large heads a little inconvenient, and pretzel with everything seasoning... minus the salt, weird considering it's a pretzel. But to each their own the dipping sauces were great. And tropical storm Betsy cruised by with minimal mist, thank goodness bc the majority of windows were open upstairs.

A great tasting lager, the Toasted Lager from Blue/ Point!

I am always looking for something out of the ordinary for beer drinking or ar least something out of the ordinary for me. Which I feel can be a pretty steep order. And if it isn't that then just a well made beer. Well, Steve and I were both very impressed with the Toasted Lager from Blue Point. We both have become lagerheads as time has gone on and the lager had a little bit of each we were looking for. Something a bit different and well made. Flavors to expect with this lovely lager is a well balanced sweetness, hoppiness and maltiness all combining together to make a nice, smooth lager. And yes, it tasted a little bit like it was toasted. Really a great lager! We didn't try any of their other beers to see if we were just as impressed but wow, what a great start!

first time coming here, and honestly not so sure about it. Went on a weekend so it was definitely packed on the outside but inside was decently slow. We ordered oysters and the birria nachos. I don't think the nachos were anything to rave about. The meat was not good at all, definitely was not birria. The kitchen seemed to be confused, there was about 5 workers standing around and we sat close to the kitchen that we could see our order sitting there and they still weren't moving. Definitely a place for drinks and nothing more. Table side service is not it. The ambiance is fine, your typical brewery. While it was good to bring our daughter for us to grab a drink it was definitely overpriced and not worth the trip.

Strawberry Lemonade Radler and Mango Green Tea

Came here on a Sunday afternoon on a whim. Have heard great things about this place, but I wasn't too thrilled. It wasn't a great vibe, it felt like an empty, dark school cafeteria. It was confusing where to order food, didn't see an indication for that. I got the mango green tea which tasted watered down and had no essence of tea in it. My boyfriend got the strawberry lemonade radler and he said it was a good drink, but he couldn't taste a strawberry lemonade flavor and said it just tasted like a sweet beer.

Fun night listening to some great live music! It was pretty busy but still found a spot on a picnic table to snag so we could order food. Order at the bar then tell them your name and table number. The food came quick! I ordered Firecracker salmon bites - delicious and just needed Chulula for some spice on the rice, salmon and cucumbers. Their fries are great and we also got the double cheeseburger- good quality meat and nice and flavorful & juicy! The quesadillas were my only dissspoint but still tasted alright just dry.

I stopped my the Islip airport location. The winter warmer hit the spot on this cold rainy day before my flight.

Bad food at unreasonable prices. Bad management. Save yourself the headache and head down to Main Street for superior everything.

You're much better off going to the People's Pub! Just too much and much better beer and ambience at the Pub.

The bar was full, but we were able to get seated at a table in front of the live band. There is live music on Fridays and Saturdays from 7:00PM-10:00PM. On Friday, February 20, 2026, a band called The Dudes Acoustic were playing. They sounded great. I had the lavender margarita and it was very yummy. We didn't order any food since we had ate before, but I did glance at the menu and there were plenty of great options. Our server was hospitable and came to check on us throughout the night. Oakdale Brew House is located in Lighthouse Commons, a group of businesses along Montauk Highway, and there are plenty of parking spots.

They're juicy, packed with flavor, and hands-down the best sliders we've ever had. We also tried the Burrata Crostini tonight and--wow--so many delicious layers of flavor. Our ride-or-die dish is the Spicy Rigatoni. It's creamy, a little spicy, and totally comforting with crispy chicken cutlets underneath, plus broccoli rabe, sun-dried tomatoes, and of course, melty burrata on top. Other must-tries? The skirt steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and for the kids, penne alla vodka or chicken fingers that always get gobbled up. Oh--and the margherita pizza? Chef's kiss. Don't skip dessert: the Tiramisu and molten chocolate chip cake are next-level. Feels like it's been far too long since the last time I reviewed a Long Island brewery (actually…read moreit's only been a month, but who's counting?). What really impresses me more than any beer writing is probably the last time I was actually blown away by a brewery. Luckily, I can tell you that Moriches Field Brewing Company has taken that honor. I visited with my fiancée and her family just last week with fantastic results. This relatively new brew spot revamped an old plane hanger and turned it into something special. The setup, decor of airplane pics, and logo all give homage to local aerial travel which creates a fun and unique vibe. It felt like a brewery which is perfect, though it didn't have a rowdy or loud feeling (and that was ideal). Some beer havens these days get a little too crowded (LIFB?), but on this midday Sunday time, the place was totally chill. What was also chill were the friendly employees and of course, the beer! One of the staff members behind the bar semi-helped me in going through a few brew choices as I attempted to figure out what I wanted for a flight (three 5oz pours). It was incredibly impressive to see their beer board with room for upwards of 15 beers. They only (I say that word loosely) had 11 on tap, but I mean that's often more than two or three microbreweries put together! Their guest taps of a Macari wine and a cider from the Best of LI award winning Po'Boy Brewery just added to the positives, especially when my mostly-non-beer-drinking soon-to-be in-laws (and wife) ordered that cider for themselves (and loved it!). For me, we'll get back to the beer. Of those 11 choices, I went with More Riches IPA, Festive Trickster (a festbier), and the Creamsicle Cream Ale. Tasting them in the opposite order I listed, Creamsicle was outstanding. It truly had a creamy consistency with wonderful orange and vanilla hints (I got a crowler of this before departing). But honestly I could've gotten a crowler of the other two as well. Festive Trickster had just the right zing of flavor from the yeast while More Riches had the perfect subtle hoppy bite while still finishing smooth. I was so tempted to get another flight of three to try their other potentially sensational suds, but alas, we had other plans on hand that day. All the more reason to return soon! Overall, there's really nothing negative I can say about Moriches Field Brewing Company (well, maybe just a note somewhere on flights and pricing perhaps?). They have a welcoming setup with friendly workers and (most importantly) a packed lineup of delicious beers. I can't wait until my next trip out there to load on the positives pics to this blown away-worthy five star write up.
