He left quite a bit on the plate and finished my burger for me. I had the smash burger and it was ok. I really enjoyed the fries. Hubs was not a fan of my fries. I was there last night. They were short staffed in the kitchen, but we were patient. We sat at the bar. Which was really nice. The bartender was friendly and the drinks were delicious. They apologized for the wait, but it wasn't too bad. We ordered wings, truffle fries, and I got the steak frites. The steak was very very good. Fries were just the way I like them and the wings were good too. Would definitely go back to try other items and cocktails. I came here on a Thursday evening. Bar was packed; we sat outside. Outdoor seating area is very cute. I got some sort of kiwi martini drink (pictured) which was delicious. Thursday is lobster night which we didn't expect but we're pleased to find out. We split oysters for an app which were fresh. I had lobster bisque and the lobster and crab mussels app as my meal. The bisque was filled, and I mean filled, with lobster meat. The mussels were fantastic! We split a cheesecake for dessert which was tasty, but I am not a cheesecake person. Used to go to the one in Port Jeff. The staff here were awesome and the food was good too. Drinks were really awesome. I'd say I'd come back for wings and drinks. The food we ordered wasn't very good. But the menu is broad so might be just an issue with what we ordered. The chipotle wings and Buffalo wings we ordered well done flats only. I recommend them very well done or they won't be crispy. The homemade slaw on the side is very good also. For the main course we had the Turkey burger which was absolutely dreadful. Definitely frozen and definitely not a staple item. Probably in freezer for months. My husband had the short ribs and side of Mac n cheese. He raved about the Mac n cheese but said the short ribs were just ok. The two martinis I had pumpkin and espresso ones were really good so I recommend them for well done wings and drinks and some Mac n cheese. The waitress we had was super nice also. read more

Have been going to Brewology for a few years now, it's a good summertime hang. Food is good to great depending on the chef in the kitchen and the specific order. This go round we went with the Kung Pao Calamari, which was cooked perfectly (not too crispy) and paired with cherry peppers in a spicy sauce--this was not enough for sharing & was too light on the peppers, which makes the dish IMHO. Would've have loved a larger portion. Was a warm evening so got their Fig & Arugula Salad with additional chicken added--Ususally a great pairing with their balsamic glaze, only there wasn't enough dressing!! I used my partners lemon from their drink as it was crazy busy, but could've used more. Also, the chicken breast was really overcooked making the salad even more dry. A bit of a disappointment. I must say that we were outside with a large group that night & the place was packed, so expectations for service were pretty low. Surprisingly, our waitress got everyone's order correct as well as the drinks, so not so bad. Will return on a night that isn't so crazy. read more

I might have missed this spot just driving by, but I'm so glad that I stopped in for lunch! A friend of mine and I split a few apps and had some beers and loved this place so much. The duck confit nachos were one of the best dishes I've had in a long time, and the fish tacos (served on bao buns, such a cool touch) were perfect. We also got the fried burrata and the sriracha fries, two dishes I'd definitely get again. They have a great beer menu too. Agree with some recent reviews. We went in early August after a bit of a hiatus. The new menu was described, we'll miss the smokey Oysters and Burrata for sure. I ordered the surf and turf (asked for and received Shrimp sub with the Filet), my wife ordered the Cornish Hen (new item). Both were ok, the Filet was extra rare and when sent back, came back microwaved and still xtra rare. Cornish Hen is always a bit of a challenge to eat but was tasty. Server was very nice and tried but I agree with Nancy L, probably still good for burgers and drinks but if spending $200+ (which I have no problem doing for the right meal), I won't think of Brewology first. read more

Bon and I decided to give Brewology in Speonk a shot and are really glad we did. We started with a couple of Brews from their numerous taps and enjoyed them with the Duck Nachos...Marvelous choice! Delish and HUGE! We were almost stuffed after wiping them out in record time. The main course was 2 Redemption Burgers...they were huge, juicy and cooked to order...RARE! These exceptional burgers were incredible and the best we have tried in recent memory. This great restaurant is in the same Strip as Michael Angelo of Speonk, a Great Italian restaurant. Warning: This is a free soft pretzel zone Warning: H O T Warning: So delicious Warning: Don't fill up on the free soft pretzels Yeah, it's going to be that kind of meal. Use pretzel carbs to help you get in the mindset for important beer decisions. I'm a huge fan of the Moustache IPA, which is that lovely yellow (unfiltered) strong but not overwhelming type of IPA that goes with just about anything. Get what you're craving, but if you like the aforementioned style of IPA, you'll be quite happy. Not in the beer mood? There are plenty of cocktails on the menu, and I think the craft ginger beer is excellent, so that plus the vodka of your choice and lime is a recipe for refreshment. The food here is really good, and the portions are huge. I don't think you need apps with how big everything is, but the duck nachos are absolutely delicious, and 100% recommended. Even if you think you don't like duck...give them a try. For mains, i've had the brick chicken and fish & chips. Both incredibly different but similarly insane in size. I'm a big proponent of salads with protein, and the (insert your favorite salad here) with a huge slab of salmon is not only delicious, but an excellent deal. I've also had the chance to taste the lobster mac and cheese and shrimp and grits - both good, but very heavy. Good for a taste, but would murder my stomach as a meal. FYI for all those similarly stomached folks out there. Waitstaff are great, just guard your plate because they are 1000% on top of their plate clearing game. Blink and it might be gone, so keep an eye out or the glue gun handy. Next visit: probably the same beer and a big juicy burger, plus some mandatory fat pretzel. read more

I usually love every experience at brewology. However on a door dash order, I ordered the crispy shrimp flat bread which was supposed to come with seasonal veggies and other flatbreads usually came with a vast amount of veggies. This one came with no vegetables. I know it doesn't sound like a major thing but with the additional fees of door dash and the veggies being anticipated it's a little disconcerting. The staff has always been and continue to be top notch. I have been a customer since they opened. Bring back the game meats! The portions got very small. Ordered Maine lobster rolls. Lobster rolls came out and I was annoyed. Minced lobster on croutons. They should have noted this was not a traditional lobster roll. Menu was deceiving. I also ordered broiled oysters. The oysters were on a lovely bed of sea beans. The sea beans were a garnish ! The beans were over cooked and like leather. I always had great food but they have missed the mark tonight. read more

This review is only about the waitress that was working tonight. I ordered a grapefruit cocktail and it tastes totally like grapefruit juice. I told her that it's not really my thing and she suggested to add more alcohol to it and I agreed. Sounds about right but then when the check came out i saw that she charged me for the additional alcohol which was totally unprofessional. If a guest doesn't like a drink there are 2 options: -to fix a drink -to get a different one Not charge me for a cocktail and then more for fixing it. read more

We have eaten at Brewology several times before and have always been happy with the menu and food. We went this weekend to find a whole different menu. The new menu is limited so three of us ordered a burger. The burger was decent, but the shoestring fries were cold. We did find it interesting that they charge extra for add ons, including $5 for sweet Potatoe fries. That's on top of the $16 for the burger. The meal ended up costing us $200 for 2 apps, 3 burgers and a round of drinks. We will try it again in the fall if they go back to the old menu. read more

What a neat spot. Don't be fooled by the seemingly strip mall appearance of the exterior. It's not in a strip mall, but next to one and the siding is very similar to that of the strip mall. But once you get inside, you're in for a surprise. The decor is so hipster, I could have been in Brooklyn. Random painting of Einstein sticking out his tongue. A chalkboard in the bathroom to write a message while you're on the can. Draft beer served in beakers. And a chalkboard near the bar with all the draft options in periodic table of elements format. Now I see where the name comes from. 24 taps, all of which are craft. Plus they offer flights for $11. Pick 4, 6 oz. drafts of your choice. Two of us went with the Brewology burger (ground bison meat, stuffed with cheddar blue cheese, crispy celery curls, buffalo aioli, LTO (that's lettuce, tomato and onion), pickle and fries). The hand cut fries were super fresh, but the only reason I'm at 4 stars is because the burger was a little dry after I was told it would come out medium-well, yet still pink. That was not the case, but I figured it would be a little overdone in an effort to melt that cheese in the middle. Nevertheless appropriately priced at $18. The strawberry fields (local field greens, goat cheese, fresh strawberries, pistachios, strawberry lemon balsamic) was a steal for $10. Just a heads up: the dressing has kind of a yogurt-y texture to it, but I thought it worked well. The biscuits and gravy (lobster, sauce Americane, citrus butter) for $22 looked filling and tasted quite good to me. Tasty food, helpful, attentive staff, and very good drinks. We went for brunch, I got the omelet skillet and mimosas. A relatively healthy brunch choice at Brewology but packed with flavor. Excellent food and service! The selections of beers is abundant, also offering flights which is nice to try a variety. The flatbread apps are always so flavorful and can be paired nicely with soup or salad for lighter appetites. I usually end up with a chicken sandwich or the veggie burger which is excellent with sweet potato fries. But the entrees are also very good, so far I've tried the half chicken, pork chop and had a fish special one night that was cooked perfectly. I never have room for dessert but the coffee and donut one I'll have to try one of these days. The only downside used to be that it can get loud during to the high ceilings. But it hasn't bothered us the last couple visits. It's a nice local spot, highly recommend! read more
