    LOBSTER & CRAB MUSSELS
    Katie C.

I came here on a Thursday evening. Bar was packed; we sat outside. Outdoor seating area is very cute. I got some sort of kiwi martini drink (pictured) which was delicious. Thursday is lobster night which we didn't expect but we're pleased to find out. We split oysters for an app which were fresh. I had lobster bisque and the lobster and crab mussels app as my meal. The bisque was filled, and I mean filled, with lobster meat. The mussels were fantastic! We split a cheesecake for dessert which was tasty, but I am not a cheesecake person. Every single staff member we interacted was friendly and helpful. 100% will be back.

I'd say I'd come back for wings and drinks. The food we ordered wasn't very good. But the menu is broad so might be just an issue with what we ordered. The chipotle wings and Buffalo wings we ordered well done flats only. I recommend them very well done or they won't be crispy. The homemade slaw on the side is very good also. For the main course we had the Turkey burger which was absolutely dreadful. Definitely frozen and definitely not a staple item. Probably in freezer for months. My husband had the short ribs and side of Mac n cheese. He raved about the Mac n cheese but said the short ribs were just ok. The two martinis I had pumpkin and espresso ones were really good so I recommend them for well done wings and drinks and some Mac n cheese. The waitress we had was super nice also.

Big portions, tasty food! Recommend the brewfrites and duck nachos!!!! Fish and chips were GIANT -- so flakey and meaty, cooked just right! I especially loved the brewfrites - runny egg on top, who wouldn't love that?! Montauk Project aka Purple Haze was a cool cocktail -- comes with a pipette and beaker! Great attentive service and atmosphere.

Duck confit nachos and fried burrata. Nachos were my favorite dish by far!

I might have missed this spot just driving by, but I'm so glad that I stopped in for lunch! A friend of mine and I split a few apps and had some beers and loved this place so much. The duck confit nachos were one of the best dishes I've had in a long time, and the fish tacos (served on bao buns, such a cool touch) were perfect. We also got the fried burrata and the sriracha fries, two dishes I'd definitely get again. They have a great beer menu too. As far as Covid goes, the tables are spaced far enough apart and all of the employees were wearing their masks. I loved Brewology and I hope I get the chance to go back!

This is a cute little restaurant in Eastport! They have a plethora of seasonal cocktails and beer selections and a full menu. The bar staff is also super friendly and helpful!

We only saw the waitress one time. After waiting 15 minutes, she arrived to take our order and we NEVER saw her again. The potato purée with truffle cream and leeks, which we requested to arrive first hadn't arrived after what seemed like 15 to 20 minutes so we got up from the table and apparently they made a mistake and it should've been brought to the table and when it did, it was cold or barely warm. We tried to find someone to get us to help us, but after five minutes gave up and decided to eat it. You couldn't taste any truffle and we ate it just because we were hungry, but it was extremely disappointing. There were hardly any leaks on it and they were overcooked. Next, there was confusion over our entrée which we were splitting and we wanted to come out and we again had to try to track someone down to explain to please send out the entrée. When it arrived, the fish had been pounded down thin and was covered in breading and so much oil that it was completely disgusting and inedible. Instead of a beautiful piece of juicy flounder, we got a dry, oily thin piece, which was mostly breading and really disgusting. It had no flavor. Green beans which they put a fancy name on to make it sound special while they were overcooked and tasteless and the sweet potatoes were watered down. The rum banana was overcooked and would have been better suited as a dessert. We then had to get up from the table again because we never found our waitress so we had to go to the hostess so we can retrieve our bill and left a very undeserving 15% tip. We managed to find someone else to bring us some containers to take on the food that we hadn't eaten and in the end, I don't know why we bothered because it went in the garbage. If you want terrible service and terrible food, then head on over to Fauna . If you want good service and good food walk a few feet and there you have Flora. Flora is a small intimate restaurant that is decorated beautifully had amazing service and cooks their food perfectly. They treat each customer as if they are their most special customer. We felt welcomed there and we felt like they went above and beyond to make us happy. It was such a different experience going to that. We are shocked the same owners owned both restaurants. Maybe they should try switching managers so Fauna can learn how to run things more like Flora. I have a feeling that Fauna makes most of their money on alcohol because you certainly don't wanna go there for the food or ambience. It's noisy and obnoxious. If you want a peaceful restaurant, that's beautiful and knows what their theme is then go on over to Flora. Fauna has lamps with deer, antlers and wood that is dark and uninviting and strange wallpaper with different animals on it in the bathroom and terrible smelling soap. Their menu is confusing as with their music, which was a mix of salsa and a type of music you would expect in a Mexican restaurant. You really missed the mark Fauna.

When we calmly brought this to the attention of the woman running the restaurant, her response was shocking. She flat-out told us she didn't have an extra chair and refused to accommodate us. There was no attempt to problem-solve, no apology, and no effort to make things right--just outright refusal to seat our group. For a restaurant hosting holiday reservations, this level of disorganization and dismissive treatment is completely unacceptable. The way we were treated was disrespectful and honestly disgusting. I do not think that the restaurant has control over that, but the plaza area that it's placed makes it such an inconvenient place to eat. My rating makes it clear that it also was not worth the time, money, nor the inconvenience of eating here. So you're just better off going somewhere else. Furthermore, trying to find the right door to this place is like trying to find Waldo within a minute of looking in the book. I was going around the whole building until I found the door. 1. The Cheeseburger Egg Rolls: this was actually the best dish out of the bunch. I enjoyed the flavor of the egg rolls and the sauce along with it was quite nice. 2. I had The Smokehouse Smash Burger and my friend had the Chicken Avocado Wrap. -The Smokehouse Smash Burger was extremely lackluster. No juiciness in the burger at all. Either I'm just not a fan of Smash Burgers or Smash Burgers just generally are bad because it was not appetizing whatsoever. My fries were excessively salty (in case the photo doesn't do much justice). We have salt and pepper seasoning on the table. Why does the chef feel the need to douse my fries in a ton of salt? I had to scrape off the salt piece by piece just to appreciate the taste of the fries. -The Chicken Avocado Wrap my friend had also came with sweet potato fries. Which again, were just as salty. The wrap was falling apart. The chicken inside the wrap had a bunch of tendons in it. Definitely not what a wrap should have. The Service was mediocre. Our waitress was nice, but not at all attentive. My friend couldn't wait to get going and leave so she had to leave without me because of how much pain she was in from sitting too long. She reported about the bad sweet potato fries and then it took forever for the new batch to come out. Not sure if it's the fault of chef or the waitress, but she was already done with her wrap by the time the waitress arrived to say the fries are coming out soon. So my friend told her they're not worth it anymore. They did refund for the fries I believe, but if the waitress had been more attentive to who she was assigned to, maybe the fries would've been handled in a timely manner, but I digress. The chef is also to blame for this lackluster meal that my friend and I had to tolerate. I'm sorry, but with The Tap Room, I am Tapping out! I will not be coming back to this place.
