Came here last night for the first time. It was around 5:30 and we were a party of 9 (4 adults and 5 kids) but we were able to get seated. We shared wings to start and they were delicious. They give both ranch & blue cheese as sides. For dinner I got a Greek salad, my husband got the cheesesteak. I liked mine & he enjoyed his but wished there was more cheese. He asked for some more on the side and they accommodated. Service was great and the drink were delicious I had a spicy marg. I would definitely go back. read more

Only giving it 2 stars because the service was decent. Myself, my wife and two daughters went Friday night at 6pm. We walk in and it's completely empty. Bad sign #1. I was not starving so I order the French onion soup. Bland and tasteless. Barely any onions and the cheese was pathetic. My wife orders the chopped cheese. The bread to meat ratio was horrible. Great food and great staff. First time eating dinner here and everything was delicious and the portions were huge. We tried their chicken wings which were meaty and cooked to perfection. The potato chips w garlic aioli was also great. The house salad was HUGE and was plenty to share with 2 or 3. Parkview's sandwich game is on point! The Reuben is HUGE, corned beef is nicely shaved so it was easy to eat. The French Dip also had the beef shaved down nicely, perfectly balanced sandwich served with an excellent au jus! The blue burger was cooked perfectly with a bun that can handle all the meat along with the blue cheese, bacon jam and frizzled onions. Again the portions were all huge and we took home 4 heavy containers of leftovers that we all look forward to enjoying again tomorrow. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. All the staff were very nice. And while the restaurant was busy on a Friday night, the noise level was very tolerable. Lots of families as the menu has plenty but not too much but all the classics. I would like to try their chopped cheese next and their Philly cheesesteak, both look great. And the Mac n cheese looked legit as well. Can't wait to come back!!! read more

Beautiful bar area with plenty of seating! Service is slow....Painfully so. Two bartenders, one barback, and a waiter running food from the kitchen. Mixed drinks take a while, beers are hit or miss (great selection, though!), and food will probably take about 30-40 minutes to come out of the kitchen. Service could have been slow due to it being a busy Saturday evening. Hopefully it's not that way all the time. Regardless the turkey burger and chicken BLT were both delicious. Tons of TVs to watch the game. No parking lot but plenty of street parking nearby if you're willing to take a short walk. read more

We had a great dinner at The Parkview. It was a girls dinner so we decided to share a few things, the shrimp, lettuce, boats, the sliders, a Cobb salad and wings. The dressing for the Cobb salad was delicious. The sliders were cooked perfectly and had caramelized onions, which is always a big hit. The lettuce boats were fresh although I wish I would've had a little extra lime or at least given a piece of lime to squeeze on it as it was a tad bland. The cocktails were delicious. Apparently, they have a happy hour special so the bar was hopping when we got there at 6:30. We sat in the restaurant. It was nice and quiet so they did a great job soundproofing Our waiter was attentive and overall we just had a nice dinner that was fairly priced. I will definitely be back. read more

Went for burgers and sandwiches last night, the French dip was excellent but the burger was very messy to eat because it was so huge. Told the waiter Yoni he replaced with a second French dip sandwich and it was delicious and much easier to eat. He was great and enjoyed having him serve us even if he had to correct a problem. The restaurant is spotless and decorated very nicely. Nice and bright not dark and dingy. Was able hear each other talking and still enjoyed the music. This review is based on my experience only: After hearing mixed reviews we decided to meet friends at The Parkview last friday. We arrived first and decided to have a drink at the bar. They were not busy and after spending several minutes at the bar none of the 3 people, behind the bar, acknowledged us so we decided to sit at the bar assuming this might draw some attention - no luck either after another 5-10 minutes. I have never sat down at a restaurant bar where a bartender did not say either "Hello" or "I'll be right with you" There was no crowd & it was very light - none of the 3 were making drinks so my wife and I were totally baffled and there was no way we were going to beg for a drink. This gave me such a bad taste in my mouth I ran for the door when our friends arrived and said we are leaving - there's no way I'm rewarding this establishment after being ignored by the bar staff. FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE LASTING AND THEY ARE NOT GETTING A 2ND CHANCE - PLENTY OF OTHER PLACES TO GO. We didn't want to cook dinner and we heard great things about The Parkview, so off we went. I ordered a French Onion Soup and the K Town sandwich (Grilled Chicken with Korean Bbq sauce), my wife got the Cheesesteak Sandwich. Everything was really good, Im highly critical of French Onion Soup this was a little bland but still delicious. The sandwich was really good. Our waitress Kristyn was amazing, funny and new the menu by heart. Decor was very bright and the place looks 1000% better than what was previously there. We will return because the wings, mozzarella sticks that passed our table looked friggin awesome. read more

The Parkview is a lovely addition to the Wantagh area, from the food, service & ambiance 5 stars all around , i must complement on how they did a beautiful job with the renovations .. As you walk in The layout is perfect. They have a full-service bar to the right, which is separated by a wolf or a little more privacy for the dining room, in the dining room there's a mixture of high top table and chairs, and regular dining tables, there are several LED screens playing the local sports, Gianna The hostess greeted us as soon as we walked in she recommended that we get the mozzarella sticks, which were fantastic,,.Ally was great her service was fantastic and her recommendations were good , also had the pleasure of meeting the owner Liz, Who also happens to be a mixologist, and her wine recommendations were very helpful, I was impressed how knowledgeable she was, her suggestion in pairing our drinks with our meal was a good help, can't emphasize how pleasant the staff was, The menu is what you would expect for a typical American style bar restaurant ,from the burgers to the appetizers, The mozzarella sticks were the size of mini cigars, very tender, soft, and had just the right crunch, the French onion soup by far is one of the best I ever had perfect for a cold December afternoon, the hand cut potato chips with aioli were excellent, The steak fromage (Mac n' cheese) Was cooked exactly the way we wanted it, steak was very tender& juicy, The cheesesteak Was incredible, loves how soft the baguette was,,Liz recommended the Bousquet Malbec 2022 paired Terrifically with our steak Don't forget to try the espresso martini a absolute delight ,,,for dessert highly recommend the Affogato We took home banana foster, cheesecake & black/white cookie cake, all were exceptional and delicious Also, I have to say I enjoyed the Parkview cocktail, Liz's creation perfect for the fall/winter ..lavender infused vodka (with actual lavender) hibiscus bitters, puréed peach, & fresh lemon ....pure perfection .. Giving the benefit of 4 stars vs 3 because this place is new Pros Good Sunday football app and drink specials the whole restaurant not bar only can enjoy Mozz sticks are among the best you'll get anywhere. Not like the frozen out of a bag most places offer Had sound on for football game Guess they are going for a sports bar vibe Cons No kids menu? Do you not want families to come? Had to spend $18! for a kid to have a burger and it doesn't come with lettuce and tomato? Disco fries were dried out. French Onion soup was missing a top cheese layer. Was not made correctly. My husband had the French onion soup and the Korean BBQ wings. Portions were large, prices very reasonable. Our server, Dominick, was very efficient and our food came out very quickly. I dont write reviews all that much but am compelled to write one for Parkview. Driving home from the beach a few weeks ago we decided to try. Place was nice, staff was great. Now lets talk about the important stuff: Great mac/cheese and French dip. We went back a second time and it was just as good. Wife loved her salad, both sons loved their burgers. Quite literally one of the most awful dinning experiences I've ever had. Took AN HOUR for our food to come out, waiter offered no updates on the food and never refilled our drinks unless asked. We went for Happy hour and sat at the bar. The bar is huge and the bartenders are very pleasant and professional even when things got quite busy. Cocktails were excellent, made right and no one rushed us as my friend and I chit chatted for hours. We also had the appetizers; Chicken nuggets, fiesta chicken lettuce boats, and the mozzarella sticks. All three were excellent but I must say the mozzarella sticks were the bomb! Fresh and the right temperature as they should be. I would definitely recommend for happy hour but can't comment on the rest of the menu yet! read more

A very cool and modern bar has replaced the dank dark Scuttlebut. Only stopped in for a beer. (Ice cold draft btw) But I was impressed.

I saw this place in Yelp and decided to go for it. Bartender was extremely friendly and helpful, recommended a place to eat since they are currently without a chef so the kitchen was closed which was so disappointing. People had ordered and brought their own pizza and even offered to share. There is an outdoor area for nicer weather out back, and a second room that can be used for busy nights or private parties. A woman brought her dog and the bartender gave him treats, so yes this place is pet friendly. I give it 5 stars as everyone was so friendly. read more

Scuttlebutt is soooo legit. My first venture was testing out the "Best Lunch in Town" sign on the overhang. I saw it nearly every day as a kid and claims like that always intrigue me. It wasn't bad. I wasn't ready for it yet and stayed away for about 4 years. I've since tried it in a more mature life and now whenever friends from out-of-town come in, we always go to the Scuttlebutt. The inside doesnt have a lame "boat theme", it IS a boat. The rafters above the tables are made of huge pieces of wood possibly salvaged from a type of vessel they just don't make anymore. Actually, the entire place is wood. There is usually room at the pool table or dart board, or basically anywhere you want to sit - If you come with a group, you will probably double the population at the bar. On a trip to the Scuttlebutt you may encounter drugs, drunk bartenders, blue collars, and the Steve Miller Band. I wouldn't expect (or want to) find people to hook up with there; you better bring your own fish. I love it. Tell Uncle Mickey I said hello. read more
