This restaurant was perfect. When my husband and I went, it was quiet, with simple decor and a warm, homely atmosphere. The staff was courteous and attentive to all of our needs. The food was absolutely scrumptious--from the fresh bread brought to our table to the appetizer and entrée, everything was perfection. I can't wait to come back!

Had a great lunch experience today! The burger was juicy and full of flavor, the waitress was so kind and attentive, and the atmosphere was calm and serene. I went around 2:30 for lunch and really enjoyed how peaceful it was. Even the chairs were super comfortable! Definitely a spot I'd visit again. Donna our waitress was so nice and her hair curls omg so beautiful!!

Came for Sunday brunch and we enjoyed our experience. The restaurant was clean and well decorated. Ample parking(satisfying a pet peeve of mine). There was a DJ, friendly staff, and an attentive server for our table. We had the shrimp and grits with a side of turkey sausage, the brunch burger, and bottomless Bellini's and Rum Punch. The alcohol did the job, the food was very good, well seasoned, hot, and great portions. I loved the garlic aioli on the burger so much that I had to ask for extra; a special shout out for the shrimp and grits, I typically don't like this dish, but at the Guest House it was spectacular. I would suggest putting some appetizers on the brunch menu to give folks an opportunity to sample some other dishes without having to commit to a full entree. Will be back.

Here's the Scoop! I came here for a dinner gathering of friends sending off a couple who is moving south. My dear friends will be missed here in New York. First off as you approach this venue it's a store front entrance. Small but long. The small is utilized well. The ambiance gives off night club but it's a bistro. The DJ was playing the music extremely loud so have conversations was very difficult until we asked our waitress to have them lower the music. Our waitress was very friendly and moved quickly to get our appetizers out and drinks. We were a group of 10. The decor is black and silver with white linen tablecloths. The menu had some great items as did the appetizers. The lollipop lamb chops and crab cakes on the appetizer menu were delicious! Prices were ok and portions were not large. Good was tasty. I ordered the short ribs with garlic mash and spinach. Very tasty. My honey ordered the oxtail pasta. Delicious also. Everyone seemed to enjoy what they ordered. The dessert menu had peach cobbler, cheese cake, brownie with ice cream and I believe carrot cake. However, we didn't order any because we were full. The drinks were on point! Whewww! We ordered a 2for of the Long Island Ice tea. My goodness it was rough! The presentation was fabulous. It came in a decanter that was clear and it looked delicious with sliced lemon etc. loved it! Would I come again maybe because the food was good and the service was nice but I think for a Bistro the music should have been mixed with some jazz and lower.

I came here before for my friend's real estate event and I was happy to come back because the food was great. We came back for happy hour. I ordered more than half of the menu! I couldn't believe they had lamb chops on there for $7!! I'm not even a person that likes that too much but I got two orders. lol it was just so tender and well seasoned. The calamari is my second favorite crunchy and not fishy. The crab cake was good & so was the truffle fries. Great service. The day we came it was also $35 steak night.

My overall experience at the Guest House was amazing. The decor was cute, seating spacious, environment inviting. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the lamb chops with mixed veggies. The lamb chops were an absolute delight. They were tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Cooked to perfection, each bite had a beautiful sear on the outside with a succulent, slightly pink center that melted in my mouth. The seasoning was well-balanced which enhanced the natural richness of the lamb without overpowering it. The mixed veggies were simply deliciousl. They were cooked just right, tender yet crisp. The seasoning on the veggies was flavorful. I tried my daughter's shrimp and grits. Let me preface by saying I am not a fan of grits but have now been converted. I can't even describe it...I just wanted more. There were other dishes on the table, we were all very happy with our meals. The wait staff were all very very pleasant and professional. The owner was out and about making sure of all his guests were happy. Each table had a lamp with a USB port to charge your phone if need be.. that was considerate of the owner. Parking was plentiful. I highly highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates expertly prepared lamb, oh and please try the shrimp and grits too, and the Greek salad.. you know what, just go there hungry. P.s. there was a live DJ which was just the icing on the cake for me.

Came here for lunch and we were delighted with the "duo" menu! You can mix and match items from any two categories (soup, salad, pasta, entree, 1/2 flatbread). So for example, you could do a chicken capri sandwich with 1/2 cheese flatbread, or a Moroccan pasta with greek salad. The lunch is a fantastic deal, especially considering most of these same items (and same portion sizes) are $17+ when ordered at dinner time or off the regular menu. All the food we ordered was amazing, and the finishing touch was the churro dulce cake for dessert...Save room!

I found this place on Groupon. The place has great potential! The drinks were delicious. The calamari tasted as if it was sitting in the oil and not drained correctly. The seafood pasta wasn't bad - I'd order again if i was to return. The lobster ravioli was not stuffed where you could tell it's lobster. But the sauce was good. Our server and bartender was nice. The music being played was low but cool.

We had a 2 o'clock brunch reservation and were seated promptly upon arrival. We ordered the bottomless rum punch, but the first round was extremely watery it tasted like it had no rum at all. We requested another one, and the second drink actually had rum in it. They also had a DJ the music was very loud. We were practically screaming at each other across the table. For food, we ordered the shrimp BLT sandwiches. The wait was longer than expected, especially since the restaurant wasn't busy at the time. When the food arrived, it tasted fine, but at $25, I didn't feel it was worth the price. On the positive side, the staff was friendly. I might consider coming back to try their happy hour or dinner menu in the future.

We loved our bartender! Such a sweetheart and prepared our drinks so well! We really enjoyed the lamb chops & their pasta dishes- SO much flavor ! I will say that the grilled octopus was a bit overcooked..but they took care of it. Everything else was delicious!

Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and very helpful in guiding us through the menu. We started with the margarita pizza and the baked oysters special--both were fantastic. To finish, we had the brownie dessert with homemade gelato along with martinis, which was the perfect ending to the meal. We would highly recommend The Union and will definitely be back!

My wife and I have been wanting to dine at The Union, in Westbury, for quite some time. Tonight,…read morewe both had a craving for a good burger, and wanted to enjoy this beautiful evening, in a nice outdoor setting. With that I said let's try the Union. The Union, is located in Eisenhower Park. The path leading up to the restaurant, is surrounded by mounds of stunning flowers. The restaurant itself has a very nice open look, with a very long 10 seat bar. The rear of the restaurant has a beautiful and spacious patio overlooking the golf course. Sitting on the patio gives a feel that you're dining at a very exclusive country club. The menu is primarily geared for sushi & steak, but has a number of salads, as well as pizza. We began our meal by sharing a Greek salad. My only objection with the salad, was that the feta cheese had a bland taste, unlike the salty creamy taste that typically exudes from feta cheese. The other issue with the salad, was that it was served with a miniature serving tong. The tong, aside from being tiny, did not easily close to pick up portion's of the salad. We asked the waiter if he can provide us with a serving spoon & fork. After 10 minutes the waiter returned with a regular sized fork & spoon, and to our dismay, said the restaurant didn't have any other serving utensils. Next, we moved on to our main reason for our being there, which was to enjoy the 10 ounce cheeseburger & fries. Unfortunately, when we began eating, our burgers, it was pretty apparent that the sesame buns the burgers were served in weren't fresh, and shouldn't have been served to customers. I did note that quite a few patrons ordered burgers, and I noticed that most patrons took the burger out from the buns. I will never understand why a restaurant would serve patrons any item that's past its useful life. Finally, the restaurant redeemed itself with dessert. The waiter suggested that we try the warm apple covered beignets, which I say was a big YUM!. All in all I have to say I was disappointed with my first visit to the Union, but the ambiance, and the overall delight of the outdoor setting will draw me back again sometime this summer.

Sometimes it's really good, and other times it's like they forgot to season anything. But also now, on our most recent visit, we noticed the portions seemed to have gotten smaller. The positives are that the interior is clean, spacious, and nicely decorated with high ceilings. If the weather is nice, you can sit outside, where there's even a putting green to enjoy while you wait for your food or after you're finished eating. The waitstaff has always been friendly and happy to offer recommendations. Over the years, we've tried quite a variety of their menu: pancakes, several burgers, the biscuit benedict, the Shegg sandwich, avocado toast, chicken and waffles, fried pickles, and more. So what's been inconsistent? How do you serve unseasoned ground beef? It's not pleasant. Have you ever had breakfast sausage with almost no seasoning? We have--and it was here. What about the portion sizes? Just compare my photos of the fried pickles from different visits, and they'll tell the story (the outside one was the most recent). Or if you've ordered a Bloody Mary recently, you might be wondering what happened to the mountain of slaw that used to come with it. The Shed isn't a cheap restaurant, so with the premium prices, I'd expect a lot more consistency when it comes to the food.

Since we were dining in, they gave us a table number and we placed it in the holder so staff know where to bring the food. Our order didn't take very long to arrive to our table, just about 10 minutes. After finishing your meal, you bus your own table. The menu has options for burgers, hot dogs, fries, salads, shakes, floats, and desserts. I ordered a Yellow Label Burger ($13.45) and a Strawberry shake ($6.75). My husband and I shared a Farm Salad ($9.75). The Yellow Label Burger comprises of USDA Prime Beef, homemade fried mac n cheese patty, lettuce, tomato on a potato bun. This was delicious! I liked how after biting into the crispy, breaded exterior it gives way to a hot, molten cheese center that oozes perfectly over beef. The Farm Salad which consisted of spring mix, tomato, blue cheese crumbles, sliced almonds, dried cranberries, and raspberry vinaigrette on the side was also very very very tasty, fresh, and a good portion. The strawberry shake was also very good and had pieces of strawberries. Black Label Burgers pride on only using USDA Prime Angus beef that comes from a single source, Double R Ranch, located in Washington State, a family-owned farm known for its responsible practices and superior beef. You can definitely taste the richness and juiciness of the beef. My husband had the Red Label Burger ($13.25) and the PB&J shake ($7.75). He really enjoyed his meal as well. I really liked the inside decor and the laid back vibes. Black Label Burgers is great for a quick lunch, a night out with friends, or a family dinner. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Definitely a cut above competitors like Shake Shack in that regard. I chose the signature black label burger made with dry aged beef and regular fries. While the hand cut fries were wonderfully crispy and flavorful, the burger was kind of disappointing - not terrible, but the bun tasted stale and the meat was very bland. Also I ordered the burger cooked medium but it came out pink in the center, not my preference for chopped meat. Maybe I ordered the wrong item? I plan to try other menu items in the future to see if they hit my taste buds differently.

Location matters, and this one was a miss. The menu is focused -- if you're a steak purist, you'll appreciate the no-nonsense approach. If you're not, you may find yourself with limited options. The French onion soup to start was disappointing: overly salty and not the warm, rich opener a steakhouse should nail. Our table had mixed results with the mains too -- the ribs came out dry, and the skirt steak was so heavily marinated that the meat itself got lost entirely. That said, my ribeye was the bright spot of the evening -- cooked exactly as requested with a beautiful crust. When they get it right, they really get it right. Our server was attentive and genuinely great throughout, which kept the experience from falling further. A place with this much word of mouth should be more consistent. I wanted to love it.
