This restaurant was perfect. When my husband and I went, it was quiet, with simple decor and a warm, homely atmosphere. The staff was courteous and attentive to all of our needs. The food was absolutely scrumptious--from the fresh bread brought to our table to the appetizer and entrée, everything was perfection. I can't wait to come back!

Came for Sunday brunch and we enjoyed our experience. The restaurant was clean and well decorated. Ample parking(satisfying a pet peeve of mine). There was a DJ, friendly staff, and an attentive server for our table. We had the shrimp and grits with a side of turkey sausage, the brunch burger, and bottomless Bellini's and Rum Punch. The alcohol did the job, the food was very good, well seasoned, hot, and great portions. I loved the garlic aioli on the burger so much that I had to ask for extra; a special shout out for the shrimp and grits, I typically don't like this dish, but at the Guest House it was spectacular. I would suggest putting some appetizers on the brunch menu to give folks an opportunity to sample some other dishes without having to commit to a full entree. Will be back.

Had a great lunch experience today! The burger was juicy and full of flavor, the waitress was so kind and attentive, and the atmosphere was calm and serene. I went around 2:30 for lunch and really enjoyed how peaceful it was. Even the chairs were super comfortable! Definitely a spot I'd visit again. Donna our waitress was so nice and her hair curls omg so beautiful!!

Here's the Scoop! I came here for a dinner gathering of friends sending off a couple who is moving south. My dear friends will be missed here in New York. First off as you approach this venue it's a store front entrance. Small but long. The small is utilized well. The ambiance gives off night club but it's a bistro. The DJ was playing the music extremely loud so have conversations was very difficult until we asked our waitress to have them lower the music. Our waitress was very friendly and moved quickly to get our appetizers out and drinks. We were a group of 10. The decor is black and silver with white linen tablecloths. The menu had some great items as did the appetizers. The lollipop lamb chops and crab cakes on the appetizer menu were delicious! Prices were ok and portions were not large. Good was tasty. I ordered the short ribs with garlic mash and spinach. Very tasty. My honey ordered the oxtail pasta. Delicious also. Everyone seemed to enjoy what they ordered. The dessert menu had peach cobbler, cheese cake, brownie with ice cream and I believe carrot cake. However, we didn't order any because we were full. The drinks were on point! Whewww! We ordered a 2for of the Long Island Ice tea. My goodness it was rough! The presentation was fabulous. It came in a decanter that was clear and it looked delicious with sliced lemon etc. loved it! Would I come again maybe because the food was good and the service was nice but I think for a Bistro the music should have been mixed with some jazz and lower.

I came here before for my friend's real estate event and I was happy to come back because the food was great. We came back for happy hour. I ordered more than half of the menu! I couldn't believe they had lamb chops on there for $7!! I'm not even a person that likes that too much but I got two orders. lol it was just so tender and well seasoned. The calamari is my second favorite crunchy and not fishy. The crab cake was good & so was the truffle fries. Great service. The day we came it was also $35 steak night.

My overall experience at the Guest House was amazing. The decor was cute, seating spacious, environment inviting. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the lamb chops with mixed veggies. The lamb chops were an absolute delight. They were tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Cooked to perfection, each bite had a beautiful sear on the outside with a succulent, slightly pink center that melted in my mouth. The seasoning was well-balanced which enhanced the natural richness of the lamb without overpowering it. The mixed veggies were simply deliciousl. They were cooked just right, tender yet crisp. The seasoning on the veggies was flavorful. I tried my daughter's shrimp and grits. Let me preface by saying I am not a fan of grits but have now been converted. I can't even describe it...I just wanted more. There were other dishes on the table, we were all very happy with our meals. The wait staff were all very very pleasant and professional. The owner was out and about making sure of all his guests were happy. Each table had a lamp with a USB port to charge your phone if need be.. that was considerate of the owner. Parking was plentiful. I highly highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates expertly prepared lamb, oh and please try the shrimp and grits too, and the Greek salad.. you know what, just go there hungry. P.s. there was a live DJ which was just the icing on the cake for me.

Came here for lunch and we were delighted with the "duo" menu! You can mix and match items from any two categories (soup, salad, pasta, entree, 1/2 flatbread). So for example, you could do a chicken capri sandwich with 1/2 cheese flatbread, or a Moroccan pasta with greek salad. The lunch is a fantastic deal, especially considering most of these same items (and same portion sizes) are $17+ when ordered at dinner time or off the regular menu. All the food we ordered was amazing, and the finishing touch was the churro dulce cake for dessert...Save room!

I found this place on Groupon. The place has great potential! The drinks were delicious. The calamari tasted as if it was sitting in the oil and not drained correctly. The seafood pasta wasn't bad - I'd order again if i was to return. The lobster ravioli was not stuffed where you could tell it's lobster. But the sauce was good. Our server and bartender was nice. The music being played was low but cool.

Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and very helpful in guiding us through the menu. We started with the margarita pizza and the baked oysters special--both were fantastic. For our entrées, we ordered the surf and turf sushi roll special and the roasted chicken, and again, everything exceeded expectations. To finish, we had the brownie dessert with homemade gelato along with martinis, which was the perfect ending to the meal. We would highly recommend The Union and will definitely be back!

Other reviews are correct - they don't have pacing down. They want to turn the table over and you really feel it. If you don't want to feel rushed book a weekend table at 8pm or after, otherwise you bet your bootie they have that table committed right behind you. Appetizers arrive before drinks, entrees arrive before you've finished your appetizer. Not a very luxurious feel to the experience. Last visit the biggest flaw was that I ordered a filet, which they serve with a peppercorn sauce and some onion rings. The sauce and rings were good. What was completely inexcusable was that they attempted to substitute the filet with a Picanha steak, which is a cheaper and tougher cut. Absolute BS. If you order the Picanha (cheaper) it's prepared differently, which means they clearly substituted the beef in my dish because it was made with the filet's sauce and onion rings accompaniment. Just note, since it's become quite popular it can get loud in here during dinner. Not a negative per se if you like an energetic dining room, but it's no longer a place to grab an intimate date night meal anymore.

They were also kind about our last minute reservation change due to babysitting issues. They start you with free pickles but give bread too if you ask also for free. We tried the Merlot which we both enjoyed. We then split the French onion soup which was salty but otherwise very good particularly the cheese. I got the petite marinated skirt steak which was about 7 oz and comes with peppers. Very good! Juicy and flavorful. My husband got the NY sirloin which was smoky and cooked a perfect medium rare. The steaks come with a choice of potato and we both got the mashed potatoes. They were good but not great. Not as garlicky or as flavorful as I was hoping. The steaks were amazing though so would just try a different potato next time. Would definitely come back! Recommend!

The greeting staff was great, friendly and accommodating. The food was just awful. -Complementary pickles and bread were just ok. We like sour pickles and these were not. -Wings were undercooked -Signature salad was overloaded with bacon and the dressing was boring. -Filet mignon was tasteless. No flavor. -Creamed spinach was overcooked (frozen-like quality ) -Mushroom were mushy ( tasted like they came out of a can) The cheesecake was fine ( I have a feeling it was store-bought ) and it was served with soft defrosted strawberries. Not what we expected. The ambience is tired. Needs to be refreshed. The best part of the experience was the server. She was polite, accommodating, upbeat and attentive. Overall, not good quality or value. I would not recommend it. We will never be back!

The restaurant is beautiful, stark white and ocean blue decor line the walls and give such a clean, oceanside feeling, despite being just off of Hempstead Tpke. It's spacious with a beautiful bar and plenty of tables. I enjoyed a crisp Aperol spritz, and they give complimentary pita that is warm and a dip to start. For the first course I had the patzaria, and they were some of the best beets I ever had, and the skordalia (garlic and almond spread) was the best compliment of flavors. The main was a showstopper. A beautiful whole branzino, perfectly filleted with lemon and capers was expertly cooked, refreshing and delicious! It came with a side of lemony potatoes but I also ordered the broccoli rabe with garlic and feta and was not disappointed. For dessert I had the cheesecake, which is absolutely made in house and creamy and rich. I forgot to take a picture I was so excited to enjoy it!
