I came here a couple of weeks ago for a Yelp event, it's a vegan establishment. The owner(Caroline) as well as the staff were some of the sweetest people. I spoke directly with Shannon, who was really nice and made sure we got to taste of a lot of the items. I got the taste the following: 1-Watermelon Basil drink - 10/10 will come for this drink 2-Chickpea sandwich (Toona melt)- surprised me but was absolutely delicious. 3-Potato salad- filling 4-Chili pepper plaintain - amazing 5-Cinnamon sugar plantain- was just alright to me 6-Chocolate chip cookie- wasn't for me, I like my cookies a bit softer 7-Cucumber mint lemonade - 10/10 drink! After finding this spot thanks to Yelp, I am officially hooked! I should mention that while I am not vegan, I absolutely love trying vegan meals. Today, I decided to try the nachos (without jalapeños), and they did not disappoint. I honestly couldn't even tell I was eating a vegan meal; it tasted delicious! The cashew nacho cheese is so creamy and cheesy. I also tried the pineapple mango lemonade, which was great. Caroline was so sweet and took the time to explain the menu to me. Cute place with moderate seating and a parking lot. The mega pancake platter was perfect because each of my kids were able to try what they wanted: Oreo, strawberry, banana, chocolate chip pancakes. Such a fun and quirky place, they had a special menu for Yelp elites for the check-in for the week. I ended up getting the lemonade and the falafel bowl. The falafel bowl was delicious. I could do without the kale in it. The lemonade was OK. I felt like it had a little bit too much honey or some type of strange sweetener, but that's was just me. WOW we had a delicious lunch and a wonderful experience at Green Street Eatery. We were greeted by the owner, Caroline, who explained the menu and helped us decide what to have. We both had the Toona Melt - a chickpea salad sandwich with cashew cheese and garlicky kale. Warm and wonderful! I brought home a "snickers" protein bar - well I say I brought it home but it didn't make it to the highway bc it was so tasty. I also brought home coconut rice pudding which was great. The decor of the restaurant is so comfortable and cozy; so lovely! There is also an outdoor eating area for when the warm weather arrives. A great local vegan spot for quick lunch items. I tried the weekly special, fig feta pizza, coconut curry soup and chai tea. The staff was kind and very accommodating. We stayed inside to enjoy our food. The chai tea was fantastic served with cinnamon on top, nice and cozy on a rainy day. The soup had a nice spice with clean ingredients. The pita pizza was good in theory but the Jam was too overwhelming. I was so sugared up, I had to take half of it off. I would have liked it more if the jam was sporadic and the cheese was a little more dominate. My daughter enjoyed her iced matcha, very well done. The decor is vintage chic for the most part. All in all always a good spot for nachos, tacos, smoothies and beverages. I've been wanting to visit Green Street since it opened. I'm not sure what took me so long to get there, but I'm happy that I finally did. It was a larger space than I thought it would be. Green Street Greenery is such a gem in Levittown, Long Island! I love that they started as a food truck and grew into a full brick-and-mortar - you can tell the food built a real following. I ordered the falafel bowl and it was SO good. The tzatziki was creamy and flavorful (seriously bomb), and what I appreciated most was that the cumin in the falafel wasn't overpowering like it can be at other places. Everything tasted fresh and balanced. And the chocolate chip cookie was soft and delicious! My meal was comped for the Yelp event but I personally bought their raspberry chocolate cheesecake because just look at it! It's beautifully layered, and also I love supporting local businesses, and they were so kind to me. The owner Caroline told me it's made with chia seeds and cashews and has 20g of protein. which immediately sold me. You can tell they really care about quality ingredients. There's a parking lot and plenty of comfy seating inside, and the space feels quaint and welcoming, not pretentious. I enjoyed reading all the informative decor on the walls while waiting for my food. They also have a points/rewards system, so the more you spend, the more you save, which makes it even easier to justify coming back (and I definitely will). We've been to enough veggie places to know when we're giving concession for restaurants that *want* to be veggie, and knew that ARE veggie. Green Street definitely is not faking anything. They are the real deal! We were in Long Island for 2 days and made our way back both days. We had the Seoul Bowl both days, fries with lentils on them one day and Vietnamese fries the other day. Ate indoors but there's some seats outside if you prefer. Very cute decor. We wish there was one closer to our home as we'd visit all the time. Vegan streets! So 2yrs vegan and finding an all vegan place with just the right vibes and price is hard. Today, welcomed by Shannon (who's not only a client but also a huge promoter of the business). To see a young passionate person is great. First of, the place has very chill vibes. A place you would find in Woodstock or Sedona. The menu was an overload of flavor and love. We never been here so we had a hard time ordering. So here was our choices 1. Vietnamese fries - it was infused with strong Thai spices and meticulous ingredients. The fries hid under the bean sprouts ready to attack your taste buds. 2. Seoul bowl - I do not like bowls but this was made by the Soul King who took my breathe away. The cauliflower was nicely done as well. 3. Dolly Parton sandwich - holy Dolly this was top notch! This is a much try. Shannon said we should try to customize and ask for Mac and cheese with it.. But TBH the chefs be Cookin' hard and this one shows how much love is put in. 4. The snicker smoothie - drop..... Final words - I'm hooked and my wife gives it 10 stars . This place truly blew me away. It's the first all vegan restaurant on Long Island and it is amazing! I ordered three tacos: the bbq jackfruit, the Buffalo chickpea, and the Yum Yum. The flavors on all of them were exceptional. Jackfruit honestly has a better texture than pork, sorry! The stand out was the Buffalo chickpea and their sweet plantains. They were lightly caramelized and truly melted in your mouth. I'm so glad I was able to check this place out as it had been on my list for a while. I had been wanting to try this place for a pretty long time and today my wait came to a deliciously healthy end. I'll start with what I loved. This is a super cute space with incredibly friendly staff who clearly care about the food they're serving. The ambiance of this little eatery was enough to make me want to return. I loved the energy and I truly hope they keep that going. I also love love loved the Brussels sprouts with coconut bacon. Literally tasted like candy to me. My husband chose the Buffalo tacos. They were almost too picturesque to eat! I took a small bite and they were def spicyyy. I got a regular lemonade and my husband got the strawberry watermelon lemonade which tasted like summer in a glass. I also really loved that the food was pretty affordable and that they offer takeout. And, of course, everything is vegan AND gluten free. Now....for what I didn't like For my main I got the grilled mac and cheese. It...just wasn't my cup of tea. It didn't even look like a sandwich to me; just a plop of mac and cheese with toast on top. The reason I'm still giving 5 stars is because they truly deserve it. I saw the food other tables ordered and honestly it was my own fault for ordering something like that. I love the Green Street Eatery, although I've only been here once so far. This place actually has part responsibility for me making a choice to become vegan. I went out to dinner here with two of my friends who are married and a guy I was briefly seeing (but that is no more). I loved that everything was gluten free because at the time I was only gluten free and not vegan. This place has nice vibes and hippy messages, it's very pretty, very chill. I ordered the mac n' cheese sandwich because it's been forever since I had a mac n' cheese sandwich. My friends ordered a bunch of things, I ended up eating some of their nachos. I also got the coffee with oatmilk which was absolutely amazing and they make a whole french press so I want to come back one time and just sit with a french press for awhile and maybe some food. The food was delicious and the owners were awesome and they played hip hop music, hip hop sets my soul on fire, specifically 90s hip hop so I loved it. The Green Street Eatery In Levittown is a small store entering on the end of a strip behind next to Taco Bell across street from ShopRite on Hempstead turnpike off side street Emerson. Tip: do check their hours and availability of food from menus. Sundays they close at 2. Muffins are only weekdays. Blueberry pancakes , good batter with lots of blueberries and natural maple syrup. Strawberry French toast is tasty. But what a mess in the takeout cardboard container as the white frosting topping was all over the place. The cold vanilla latte I'm told was also favorable. It was a good thing I got take out as I was able to clean up , mix and reheat the items. They do delivery. I'd gone on their website to order , when I was setting up payment it lost the items in the cart. Three of us each had different lunch items and everyone loved their food. Everything is gluten free which ensures there is no cross contamination. We had two different daily special soups and both were very flavorful. One was a white bean, mushroom stew that was a little brothier and the other was a broccoli cheddar soup that was quite rich. We also had the black bean meat ball hero with a lovely, spicy, sauce and a Dolly Parton tofu sandwich that was demolished. Try the London Fog latte, especially on a chilly day. Came to Green Street for Sunday brunch! They have a specific menu for brunch and do not make anything else outside of that! There's a pretty large parking lot which is convenient. Inside is small & cozy they have 5 tables all are different sizes and styles. We arrived early and got to sit at the table by the window which was perfect for the amount of food I wanted to order. To drink we got a Chunky Monkey Smoothie which is your typical chocolate with peanut butter smoothie and a Peach Cobbler Smoothie which was a first time try for the both of us however it does taste like a peach cobbler! He enjoyed it! Now let's get down to the eats shall we, we started with Brekkie Nachos - which I highly recommend they are amazing and also filling. It has of course chips,tofu scramble that is so delicious, tomatoes, red onions, black beans, guacamole and had a cashew nacho cheese which I could have had more of! 10/10 Bananas Pancakes - I believe 3 came in the stack they were topped with banana slices as well as had some inside. Great taste fluffy served with maple syrup we enjoyed it also! 9/10 Strawberry cheesecake French Toast - They give two slices stack and add strawberry on top of the cheese cake filling, it was thick. I am normally not into French toast however I did want to try this It taste good and had a good presentation I would have preferred it to be less dense 7/10 Empanadas we got Chicken & Potato 4/10 I originally thought it was only chicken I only learned it had potato once it was brought to us which was fine personally we thought it was flat, dry however we really enjoyed the Spinach & Feta 8/10 and we completely understood why that one was a best seller! Liked it the crust was just ok... For dessert I had to try a Chocolate cherry Donut it is more like a cake than a donut. It was pretty and did taste good we also enjoyed that. 7/10 The overall experience was wonderful the atmosphere the food was coming out quickly and all of the workers were pleasant! Fresh juices and smoothies as well as a large selection of food varying from tacos to bowls to soups. They have it all here.
