My husband and I have gotten takeout here twice so far and have loved it both times, it's the best Thai food we have had on Long Island! My husband loves spicy, he wants to cry. Their Thai spicy delivers when he gets the red curry Thai spicy. I'm more of a medium spicy person and really enjoyed the green curry medium, both the salmon and the squid. I'm sorry, but nothing I tried here tasted authentic to me. The dishes that were supposed to have fish sauce didn't have much flavor at all. The coconut chicken soup wasn't rich in chicken broth nor did it have much coconut milk in there. The white b button mushrooms they had in that soup weren't fresh mushrooms. They were from a can. One of the dishes I opted for beef as the protein. Those slices of beef were horrendously dry and stringy. Also, they weren't sliced against the grain, so it was hard to chew on. A hidden treasure found on a whim! We were craving Thai on the way homr Friday night, and this was the one that popped up on Yelp. The store is really small, in a little dingy shopping strip on Jerusalem Ave. It was really difficult to find parking because the parking lot in the back was so small and the entrance was half-blocked. We ended up parking on the street and walking over. The place was not very full for a Friday night. You seat yourself and the lady at the counter comes and takes your order after you browse their digital menu. I really wasn't expecting much, though the flowery decor looked trendy. We got the Thai iced tea, which was very sweet and very strong, just the way I like it. It was a generous serving in those mason-jar cups. My brother had the chicken pad Thai, which he asked for spicy. And boy did they deliver on the spice! The pad Thai did not feel like a gloopy ketchup-y mess that sometimes happens when you go to one of those "pan-Asian" take out places that do not know what the actual dish is supposed to taste like. They put the bean sprouts and the peanuts on the side, I guess so people who don't like them could control how much goes in the dish (couldn't be me). The tofu drunken noodles I ordered were excellent as well. I did order it mild, which meant that it just has like a little bit of spicy kick. Nice thick slabs of chewy noodles mixed with the basil and veggies. The tofu was the fried kind, which meant it absorbed even more of the sauce and grease. The only gripe I had was that the entire dining area had this lingering cigarette smell. I happen to be really sensitive to cigarette smoke, so I felt very nauseous by the end of the meal. Nevertheless, if these flavors shined through the cigarette smell, I imagine they really taste great when you get it to go. I did feel the portions were a little bit on the small side for the price. Was so pleased to find a Thai establishment near my home. I consulted Yelp for my first order there and got: chicken satay; shrimp summer rolls; wonton soup; drunken noodles with beef; and pad thai with duck. Ordered on the restaurant's website for pickup with $1.50 convenience fee. As others have noted, there is scant parking on Jerusalem Avenue; best to go with a friend so you don't have to exit your car from the driver's side onto the busy road. On to the food: Wonton soup made with chicken and shrimp was a pint of light and tasty goodness. Loved the shrimp summer rolls, a cold veggie-rich treat perfect for a hot summer night. Chicken satay consisted of 4 generous sticks, but kinda bland and rubbery so wouldn't get that again. Loved the pad thai with duck, very flavorful and rich. Drunken noodles were excellent too, packed a nice spicy punch but not overly so. They comped me a beverage for ordering over $30 worth of food; I've never had Thai iced tea so chose that. Was at Daughters house in Bellmore and it was dinner time. We had ordered from Authentic Thai once before thru Uber Eats and was happy with the food choices so we did it again. The food is def prepared as requested...we asked for spicy and it was Mmmm HOT! we tried the crab rangoon and would pass next time...was petrified and not edible. The Coconut soup was so hot first spoonful that i gagged and I like hot food...got used to it and it was good. The Pad Thai was good as was the Tofu Red Curry. The Chicken Drunken noodles were good and also packed heat. Sticky Coconut Rice worked well with the dishes. Got a jumbo Thai Iced Tea which was perfect foil to the burn. Four stars because it's a holiday weekend, I'm in a good mood and I don't have to get up early tomorrow. Could have been 3.5 but just 3 would be misleading and unfair. Nestled between 2 very familiar storefronts of my past, the infamous "My Hero"and the now defunct music lesson place where I literally dropped 100's of dollars on my kid's private lessons and now they are in college and no longer play. This is a difficult strip of Jerusalem Avenue to park on and if you are fortunate enough to get a spot curbside, care must be taken getting out of the driver's side for fear of losing a limb or possibly an ear. Lee and I, like one other reviewer, had eaten here a few years ago under another name. The setting is shaped like a typical Chinese take out counter joint, but here the decor is warm and tidy. There is seating for roughly 14. The menu is standard and a dollar or so more than traditional for curry, rice, noodle dishes but the servings are nice sized and colorful. My papaya salad, 3* spicy, was excellent though a bit overdressed taking away some of the snap. No shrimps on this dish here. The Yum Ped, Crispy Duck Salad was very good. No real lettuce but the most Duck that I've seen in this dish. At 13.95 it's up there a bit, but Lee will be having half tomorrow for lunch ( shhhh... he's seeing Eric Clapton at the Garden) My daughter loved her standard go to, spring rolls, but was a bit disappointed in the lack of sauce/flavor on her obligatory Veggie Drunken Noodles. They looked good, but were a thumbs down. Hers came a good 10 minutes or more after mine and the wedges of Zucchini were enormous and still a bit raw. Service was polite and welcoming but a little frantic.. they must do a great deal of takeout. There aren't too many Thai places in this area, so if you aren't up north in Bethpage/Plainview, or out east in Stonybrook or down near RVC where our favorite Thai place is, this will certainly do in a pinch. I don't care about the atmosphere because the food is nasty. We had Shrimp in a Blanket two Chicken Wings, Thai Fried Rice with Shrimp and Pineapple Fried Rice with Shrimp. I think my Thai fried rice was spoiled it tasted weird so I did not eat it what a waste of $17.95 for this rice. The only thing that was okay was the Shrimp in a blanket. I've been here twice already and the food was good, but not something I would order frequently unless I was in the mood for it. I ordered the Pad Thai, fried rice with chicken and fried rice with pineapples and chicken. All 3 were good. My kids even liked it and if they eat it, that's a solid win for me. There was nothing special about the chicken, but the rice was really good, which is what they ate the most of. The staff was pretty welcoming and nice, but both times they forgot to include the utensils. Imagine getting your food, opening it up to eat it, looking through the already empty bag for some utensils as if it'll just magically appear and finding nothing. The first time it happened, luckily I was still parked, so I ran out to get some. The second time, I said forget it. I had some in my vehicle and decided to just use those. Parking was difficult though and had to park and cross Jerusalem Place is cute and clean, staff was really friendly. We ordered vegan and they had quite the selection! Vegan - Thai iced tea was amazing I think they used coconut cream, so good. We also ordered the vegetable curry puffs, coconut tofu soup, and entrees pineapple fried rice w mock duck and Pad Prik Khing w/ tofu (not on the vegan menu but they did make them vegan). I think the curry puffs and coconut soup were the highlight of the entire meal. Seriously so good I would definitely order them again. The pad prik khing was great, had a bit of a smoky taste I enjoyed. The pineapple fried rice was also good but I regret ordering it with the mock duck - probably should have gone with vegetables or something. We came here based on the high vegetable to noodle ratio in the Shrimp Summer Roll, served with a chili peanut sauce. The large amt if cucumbers, carrots and basil leaves made it refreshing. The Sauteed Basil (Pad Kaprow) Duck was a tad salty, but good w fresh basal, onion and bell peppers. Third best dish. Second best was the Massaman Curry Tofu has peanut curry potatoes onion and string beans. And the winner of the evening was the Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodle) Calamari. I've found my new go-to for vegan Thai delivery! This week, I was bored and bummed out because my used-to-be favorite Asian fusion delivery just hasn't been as good as it used to be. Or, I reasoned, maybe I'm just sick of what I get (typically one of the few vegan items on the menu, Chinese food). So I searched Thai with vegan options, filtered in Yelp Delivery and voilá! Authentic Thai! Thai is one of my favorite cuisines, however if a restaurant doesn't have a vegan section, I'm a bit wary. Too many times I've ordered, specifying "no fish sauce," only to receive a dish that had to have had it because I know that smell and it sickens me because I never liked fish. In a few places, they've admitted that their sauces are pre made with it. So, thank you, Authentic Thai, for caring about vegetarians, none of whom technically eat fish nor their sauces, and vegans (in some places, they think "vegan" means no fish. Whatever) so that we don't have to worry about egg, either. Not only are they conscious of us, they allow for super specific ordering online. I'm super neurotic when it comes to delivery because it's too common to get the wrong damn thing. So, yes, there's a vegan section and when you pick something that would normally have egg, it asks you if you want it vegan. Hooray! There's a huge array of options for us here, from apps to soups to curries to stir fries and fried rice. I went with the chive dumplings, red curry, extra spicy, with tofu (I was temped to get the mock duck, but I'll need to verify that it's bean curd skin and not the fake poultry stuff that I dislike), sticky rice and a side of steamed vegetables. Delivery was much faster than predicted (less than a half hour). Everything was piping hot and perfect! I mean PERFECT, because they even included the extra chili sauce that I had requested. And yes, the curry was extra hot. I went to town on that food. Inhaled the chewy/crunchy/savory chive dumplings which were both a flavor and texture sensation. The curry was perfect, like I said (but I think you can't say "perfect" enough in a review, right?). I always feel that I need extra veggies in curry, so it's awesome that they offer a small side for 2.50! Curries come with rice, so I got both jasmine and sticky... since I only finished half the curry, I now have dinner waiting for me tonight and I can't stop thinking about it. New favorite place near my temporary residence! I have to investigate if any of their teas/coffees are made non dairy, as well as dessert. This is truly an exciting moment for me. I have eaten at some of the best Thai restaurants in NYC and Queens and didn't have high expectations but this place is incredible. I got the chicken Kee Mao and it was perfect. I decided to try Authentic Thai Cuisine spot based on the reviews of the vegan pineapple fried rice and the mock duck. We also ordered vegan spring rolls, curry veggie puffs and drunken noodles with chicken which were all very good. The pineapple rice was decent, a bit lukewarm upon arrival. One of my favorite take out spots to get great Thai food! I sat down and ate there for the first time though. I went with my regular order, tofu pad thai. The way they prepare the tofu is just so good. So crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It's delicious! The parking is definitely tricky at first on a the main road, but you get use to that once you keep coming back for more and more. This place is great! If you like your pad thai with chili sauce, ask for some because it doesn't come with it. That also goes for the lime. But really, they do such a great job! Ordered on Uber Eats, got Chicken Pad Kaprow, crispy calamari, curry puffs, and a papaya salad. There are two major complaints: 1) food was cold. Very cold - like it sat out for 20 minutes out in the open. The calamari was not crispy, it was cold and soggy. Basically inedible. Everything else was technically edible, albeit cold. 2) really bland. It really looked like Thai food, but it just didn't taste like it.
