Visited this Chopt when I was in the area. It's cozier and smaller than the location at north new Hyde park, and a lot busier too! The staff was more communicative and nicer than the north new Hyde park staff. However, the wait time was kind of crazy. We placed the order in the app ahead of time (we ordered when we were still eating ice cream at Roosevelt field mall!) but we still had to wait at least 15 minutes when we arrived. I like how there is a big display of the order statuses on the wall. Bathroom was available to customers too. We got the southwestern steak salad. It was a little too spicy for my liking and I didn't enjoy the small pieces of chips in there. So far, I have not had a salad that I actually liked from Chopt. This location is very clean except the restrooms. I wish they would clean the restrooms more often. You can tell they don't clean the toilet thoroughly. The staff here is very nice and quick. They made my shrimp Caesar wrap correctly and tasty. It was $18. They gave it to me whole and i did ask for it to be cut and they did and put it into 2 halves in a bowl. I love me a good Chopt salad but this location is extremely inefficient. I visited here during the lunch rush at 12:30/1 pm and there was a line about 10 people long and 1 person making salads, who also happened to be the person ringing you up. I was 3rd in line and it took about 15 minutes to get to me. The stars I'm giving were for the food, chopt salads are standardly delicious, but they were out of quite a few dressings, so they lost a point for that too. Overall once you placed your order things moved quick, but they seriously need to stock up on ingredients and people!! read more

I took one star away just because of the price! Though delicious, $17 for a wrap?!!!!! Insane!!! I went with the southwestern steak wrap. I brought my wife here for lunch today (May 22,25). I was very excited about bringing her here because the salads are exquisite. The food was delicious as usual but I was disappointed in the service. Both of my salads were made incorrectly. For the first salad I asked for the dressing on the side and he forgot. For the second salad I asked for steak and he forgot as well. When I went ask them to correct the salads. I had to wait and extra 10 minutes while my wife waited at the table. On top of that I was then charged extra. My wife and I came to Long Island from California in order to visit family, and we decided to try this place out last weekend. When we first entered the restaurant, we were not greeted/borderline ignored by the three workers behind the counter. After a few minutes, I stepped forward to place my order, but I was ignored by the person behind the counter for several minutes as he cleaned a salad bowl. When I ordered a Cobb Salad from their menu, he started putting it together... but almost immediately he said to me, "We don't have bacon, is there anything else you'd like instead?" I was bummed out, but I told him some extra egg would be fine in lieu of bacon. After putting the entire salad together, he spent several minutes looking at the dressings before he finally said, "We don't have ranch dressing, is there another dressing you'd like?" Incredulous at this point, I looked over at my family members who were also trying to order. All three of them wanted Caesar salad and/or Caesar salad wraps, but were told that there was no creamy Caesar dressing available either. I finally said, "Should we just go somewhere else?" And we all decided to leave at that point and go elsewhere. I understand we came just over an hour before closing, but this experience was appalling. Between being ignored then told that several menu items were not in stock after already placing our orders left a bad taste in our mouths. I'm a fan of this Chopt location. I went to one years ago where I got very sick from and never returned for years lol. This location is nothing like that one, the salads and warm bowls have always been good. I usually go with a make your own warm bowl or a menu item salad with a switch or two. It consisted of all different greens, a hard boiled egg, grape tomatoes, avocado, chicken, blue cheese and bacon. The only thing I didn't care for was the bacon. They have over 20 different salad dressings and my favorite one is the sesame ginger. The creamy lemon herb and ranch dressings are thick but they don't pack as much flavor as the sesame ginger. So every now and then I crave a good hearty salad. And I don't mean a measly cobb or Caesar salad, I mean a salad that keeps me full and is full of veggies and protein! I've been to the different locations in NYC but now that I am not commuting as often, I opted to try my local Chop't! Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 crisis there is no seating or entering the restaurant available. But I always liked to order ahead online (there is a sweet membership points system). Now if I know ahead of time I'm craving a Chop't salad, I usually schedule a time ahead early in the day to pick it up. Otherwise you can order ahead in the moment and it usually take 20-25 minutes until your salad is ready. Everyone is different, but I loved my salad usually the same way every time. They have various types of leafy green bases or even brown rice! I like a kale and arugula base, with either falafel or panko chicken! I don't like my entire salad chopped up, only the lettuce. There's so many amazing toppings to add to your salad that you can never be bored. My standard choices usually total up to $14 and change, but for the giant portion size and all my favorite toppings, its worth it! Its almost like an ice cream store but for salads! Only down side is parking can sometimes be annoying during regular business as it shares a lot with trader joes, and multiple other retailers. But i love that the pick-up is easy and you simply go up to the table and grab the salad with your name! PS: Sometimes ask for 2 sauces on the side rather than 1, especially because it's a larger portion and if you want to save any salad for later. read more

Unfortunately I wasnt all to impressed with this location on my visit. I came on a Saturday in the evening. The line moved quickly but when we got up to the front, the mess was a bit of a turn off. The toppings were everywhere, mixed into all the buckets (anyone with food allergies beware). Lettuce was everywhere, on the floor, counters, etc. It was hard to even see what was available. I got the Mexican caesar salad, I liked the idea of this one. The dressing was good. Unfortunately the avocado was poorly mixed in so I'd just end up with a few large chunks. The chicken was a bit dry and burnt. I couldnt finish the salad because about halfway through I found a short black hair. I did not say anything and just threw it out to not deal with it.
