This was my first time visiting a Cava and I was in love with all the food options! I've been here at least 25 times and I'm always satisfied with my food. On the downside - the line is always long and the employees always seem overwhelmed. They have a lot of people working, but I think it's just really busy at this location. I've since visited other Cava's and they're not as busy. I don't hold it against the Westbury store... the workers are all great and have a lot on their plate. Keep up the great work! read more

Get to last step the person cuts the avocado and drops it on counter and on piece of paper (that everyone touches ) she picks it up off the dirty paper and tosses it on the plate. We were in the neighborhood to get something healthy and I came across this spot. This spot is one of my go tos for lunch near my job, but we were disappointed by the food quantity and quality. We both created our own bowl, one with grilled chicken and the other with salmon. The salmon did not look like anything that was advertised and the portion was small. We were ok with the grilled chicken. Stopped by this Cava for the first time as it's the closest one near me and I haven't had in years. I was not disappointed. The staff was super helpful and patient with explaining the options which was nice. Even though it was kind of busy, they took the time and did everything with a smile. She really enjoyed her steak pita and we loved the pita chips a lot- I think the classic ones are better but both were good. The bowl had a generous amount of steak & it was very flavorful- I would definitely get it again & ask for less Hot Vinaigrette next time bc they put way too much. It was easy to order from, and the price is reasonable for lunch. I went with the chicken and rice bowl which has a good assortment of flavors without feeling heavy. I do think compared to the photo, my bowl was more lettuce heavy-than I was expecting and there weren't the nice dollops of hummus and tzatziki, but it all still tasted good. They have a few bowl/pita options and the ability to customize, but it was a nice meal option that is more than a boring salad but not greasy fast food. read more

Honestly I can't really go wrong with cava for a quick and relatively healthy meal, a bowl is basically 2 meals. I did a small experiment with ordering through the app and having my friend ordering a similar item as me in person. We both got the salad and grains bowl with half chicken and half falafel. Needless to say, if you order in person you'll get a little more food, except they didn't ask my friend if they wanted the free pita on the side whereas the app did ask me. They'll give you just a little more on the sides that you add in. The difference isn't significant, but I noticed it when i started eating. The staff are still friendly regardless of online pickup or ordering in person. I would still come back here regardless because I think their ingredients are clean and good to consume. read more

The line moved slow, it seems they were short staffed. The person , that was making the orders , was also the person cashing people out. This review is mostly , for the service. Im guessing it was the manager , he was doing his best to keep the line moving, at the end of the purchased he apologized for the wait and offered pita or a courtesy cup. I ordered the build your own pita kids meal. I had the spicy lamb , yogurt dill dressing on the side. fresh pineapple , apple , mint juice , which was really good. I would visit Cava in Garden City again. The manager has good customer service skills and that's a plus. The restaurant is clean and the location is near the shopping mall. read more

I'm sitting in the restaurant now writing this review and the lovely JuJu just walked in! I've been to Cava twice and both times have been a great experience. The restaurant puts a Mediterranean twist on their various offerings. If you love Falafel then get ready to be in chickpea heaven. They have a great Falafel mixture, the falafel isn't too spicy. The service is a little slow, I'm here during lunch and there is one counter person making the bowls. The restaurant itself isn't too large, maybe 10 tables in total. Dropped in for a lunch meeting and lo and behold, Bill S, the original Black Elite has beat me to the newly opened Cava. I had the spicy mkt salad and the server was nice enough to amend my ingredients to give me small samples of their offerings in my salad. Ingredients were fresh and delish. It had spicy falafel balls which wasn't spicy enough for me but still good. I substituted some rice for lentils which were the tiniest lentils I've ever seen. The price of the salad wasn't cheap a bit over $15 w tax. Plus this wasn't really fast food. They don't have their system down like Chipotle's assembly line, prob because of all the variations and salad offerings. Def great salads tho. But maybe not if you're in a hurry. read more

I had been keeping my eye on Cava since Just Salad opened next door. It always had a line so I knew it had to be good but I wanted to wait until it quieted down prior to trying. We popped in on a Sunday night and fell in love with the entire menu. I tried the lemon chicken bowl which was DELICIOUS! The chicken was so flavorful and their spicy hummus is more smoky than spicy but still delicious. All of their ingredients are fresh and everything is put together in front of you. Tried this place for the first time. I happen to see it as I was passing by the shopping center. What caught my eye was that it said salads on it. Upon entering it reminded me of a chipotle set up. They have the people behind the glass that will put your item together by your choice of what's available in the trays. They have bowls and pita choice. It's not really salad but more like a choice of rice as a base with green or grains or both. (Again reminded me of chipotle, just slightly different) they have choice of meat and vegetables. The food was ok. You have choices of different dressing to add on. I ate here twice but it would get played out for me. It's also a little pricey. I bought a bowl and a ginger brew and it was $18.00 dollars in total. It's a good spot for a quick meal. read more

I added humus and tzatziki and then added falafel and honey chicken. I guess I'm not overly smart, but to me honey chicken sounded like it was going to be sweet. Not even close. My mouth is burning like crazy. The falafel is nowhere near crispy and it's tasteless. It probably also came out of a bag. Cava reminds me of Subway, where nothing is made fresh. Everything is brought in and bags and just thrown in to the Bain Marie's before being served. I started to come here last week but the line was so long I chose Just Salad on the other side of the building. You can't compare the two. When I got to cava, my order was not ready even though I went 5 minutes after my order should have been ready. I waited another 5 minutes before it came out.
