This is mainly a takeout spot but dine in is allowed. As such, drinks are all bottled (no tap water) and all food, utensils, etc. comes in to-go packaging. Tried the chicken kofta during dinner time which came with two skewers, rice, onions and roasted tomato, and house salad. House bread came with the typical sauces (a yogurt, a cilantro, and chili sauce). Meat was tender and well seasoned. Brown rice was nice too and sumac and paprika were on the table for garnish. I also ordered the qabuli rice topping which was disappointing. Usually the shredded carrots are candied, but these were normal carrots and raisins microwaved with lots of moisture but not transformed in any way. Nonetheless, food was good and portions were generous. Easily makes two meals.
We've loved Kabul Kabab House Flushing for 15+ years and finally tried the Westbury location for takeout--amazing! Omar greeted me warmly, remembered my order, and the food was excellent: flavorful kababs, tender meat, perfectly cooked rice, pita bread, salad, roasted tomatoes and onions, and white sauce (plus a free extra tub on request). He even gave me a 15% discount card for next time! Omar was so welcoming, and this location is closer to my home, so I'll definitely be coming back. Great service and quality--highly recommend!
Overpriced,bland with a bizarre setting. Came here thinking this place would provide elevated Afghan food but it seems this place provided your typical grilled meat dishes at an elevated price. Came and was immediately confused as it seemed to have a nice interior but made it a place where it was you could get takeout only but are free to sit at their tables. Sat at their tables and served with plastic utensils, food came out in plastic trays as well which seemed incredibly bizarre since the setting and the prices of the dishes did not indicate this would be a fast food hole in the wall establishment. Paid an exorbitant price for their lambchops and almost bursted out in laughter after seeing how small the actual lambchops were, made it all the more obscene as it was almost $40 for this dish. Overall the food here was bland and uninteresting as it was just grilled meats with some white sauce with rice, a combo you can get on any nyc street cart for a quarter of what you'd pay here, only positive here was that you didnt have to tip. Won't be coming back and will much much more discerning when picking afghan places to go to in the future
They WILL NOT give you water. You have to pay for bottled water if you want to drink. Absolutely ridiculous!!! I don't care if the food is good bad or anywhere in between. No one is going to make me pay for water.
This is a very expensive Afghan place but the food is phenomenal. I love ordering the mixed rice. It's a mixture of white rice and brown rice mixed together. They give it to you in an aluminum pan. I truly wish that they would give you more shish kebabs in an order. If they took care of that everything else would be right with the world. The white sauce is nice and tangy. It's so delicious you have to add it to everything. Also, it would be so much better if they include it sautéed onions as opposed to raw onions, grilled tomato and cilantro.

Am a big kebab fan and I found their kebabs to be delicious and so yumm. Absolutely loved it. I stay nearby..so I am definitely going to be a regular here.
We haven't eaten here in the restaurant in a while. But I'm 100% sure the last time we were here we were able to get tapwater. Today, The server refused to give us tapwater. They would only give us bottled water. That's ridiculous! Shame on you, I should be able to go to a restaurant and not have to pay for water.
Ate in person at the no frills shop. The food is served together and it looks amazing and tastes divine. My beef was very tender and hit the spot. Love the salad and water is bottled so there's a charge. Good bathroom as well. Staff are attentive and friendly.
I was told this was a solid spot by a friend many moons ago and his recommendation was valid. We had a combo platter of chicken kofta and beef kabob with rice. They had made a mistake with our order initially, so they gave us an extra chicken kabob! Everything was very well seasoned. The spicy sauce had a nice kick without making me sweat . The decor was nice and the restaurant looked very clean. I would definitely eat here again and/or order takeout! A+ Service

The food is absolutely outstanding. Super fresh, freshly made and always delicious. Always gotta pair it with the white sauce, red sauce and the seasoning that goes with it. I always switch it up, we get a bit of everything but there is not one thing you can go wrong with here. My parents actually had their first date at the flushing location so this place has been in my family for years. It's absolutely outstanding and you never wanna miss your chance for good fresh amazing food.

We were craving kababs and this place popped up on out search so we decided to give this a try. This place is a take out spot so our food was delivered in to go containers but they do have indoor seating so we chose to dine in. The portions were massive and we had enough for lunch and dinner. The food was so flavorful and juicy. Really satisfied our craving. Staff was really nice too. Will be back soon. read more
I want to gatekeep this place so badly, but I know it would be a disservice to the sweet people at Kabul Kabab and honestly with the state of the country/economy right now, everyone could use a new spot to feed their families/loved ones. Kabul Kabab offers the most delectable, flavorful, and cost-effective family meal in the area. The combo #1 or #2 is more than enough to feed a family of 4-6 and it has great value. A combo comes with salad, onions/grilled tomatoes, 2-4 skewers if your choice (depending on which one you get) and a whole STEAMER TRAY of delicious rice. Pro tip: the lamb kebab is always worth the extra $3 or so and the brown rice is the winner in our home (brown rice = more flavorful + more fiber = winwin!) Please do give this place a try if you're in the area and need to feed at least 3-4 mouths--the people there are so nice and the food is amazing--would give 30/10 stars if I could! read more

In excess of $100, I ordered a family combo meal to be delivered to my residence. Upon receiving the food, I discovered hair within the dish while serving it to my guests. I promptly contacted the restaurant, only to be informed that the kitchen was closed. Despite paying $108 for the meal, I received hair in the food and was not provided with a replacement. This experience is deeply disappointing and constitutes unsatisfactory service. I called back to the restaurant and was rudely spoken to by the so called manager, disgusting behaviour from the manager not only that I was blamed by the manager that wasn't any staff hair it was mine. If this was a corporate store this matter would never be handled like this. What a shame, I'm glad I paid by credit where I can get a refund by my bank. Staff and manager aren't friendly for sure ! read more

The food was delicious! I got the kofta kebab and it was not dry at all and very flavorful. The person serving was I believe, the owner or manager and he was super nice and attentive! He gave me something on the house and extra pita and sauce for my leftovers. I appreciated that so much! I wanted to try the one in flushing but it seems like the reviews are not as good so maybe I'll just stick to this location. read more

Kabul Kabob House has amazing food & great service. We ordered a tray that had a generous portion of savory rice with 3 kabobs: salmon; chicken & beef. It also came with a complimentary container of roasted onions & tomatoes & a fresh garden salad. I highly recommend the salmon kabobs & the white & green sauces that came on the side... Amazing lunch for my family. read more
We have been visiting Kabul Kebab since many years, this is one of the few restaurants that has stayed consistent throughout covid and even after. Kabir and Ata are great at service, they always go above and beyond for their customers. Last week we dined there and we were a party of 16 but the service and food was smooth and flawless. Love this place! If you decide to eat at the restaurant, they serve everything from to-go containers (probably from the pandemic). They're not a full service restaurant so they leave us alone after the food is served. We ordered the combo appetizer and the Combo 2! Highly recommend the kabobs! The meat was so juicy and tender. The salmon was flaky and cooked to perfection. They gave plenty of yogurt sauce too. Highly recommend and will be coming to this restaurant often! read more
Wanted to try something new (for us) on a rainy day, consulted Yelp and chose Kabul Kabab House for delivery. I called the store directly to place my order thus avoiding third party fees - better for the restaurant as well. I got 4 sambosas (2 each of veggie and meat) and a Combo 1 dinner with a choice of 2 kabobs, rice, side veg and salad. Food arrived in about 30 minutes, well packed and still piping hot. We absolutely loved the sambosas, petite fried patties with savory fillings similar to Indian samosas but with flakier crust. Mmmm. Hubbie chose lamb tikka, very good and a generous portion but a bit overdone and chewy for his tastes. Will ask to have it cooked more rare next time. My salmon kebab ($6.00 surcharge) was well spiced, tender and absolutely delicious. Came with a choice of brown or white rice, we opted for brown - jasmine rice kicked up with a nice hint of spice and color. Roasted whole tomatoes and raw onions complemented the kebabs nicely. Also included were containers of white and green sauces, didn't need much of that since the food was so well flavored. Very good food, reasonable pricing, fast delivery, hefty portions. Suprised how yummy this place was and the portions huge. We shared a dish of chicken and beef kababs over rice. It came w salad for 2 , pita bread and a small bowl of hummus. The dressing was delish but beware the green sauce and red sauce were super hot and I love spicy but this was hot! A definite return here w parking in back. The decor was apropos for a kabab restaurant with pretty tiles and tin lamps from the ceiling. read more

My family and I stopped here for lunch after a trip to a farm in Long Island. We were all really hungry & we've had pretty good experiences at the flushing location of Kabul Kabab before. This location definitely blew our expectations out of the water. We were so so pleasantly surprised! In addition to the combo, we also had their beef sambusa. At the flushing location, the meat sometimes comes out a bit dry but everything here was super delicious, juicy, and fresh. We especially liked the beef chunks & the chicken on the bone. If you're looking for a tasty appetizer, please get their beef sambusa & eat it with their handmade sauces - just perfect! We can't wait to come back!! read more

Great food, great service and BYOB! I come here with my family and friends - so each time I've been here it's been with a party of 13+ people. For most small, local restaurants that can get overwhelming but not this place. They somehow manage to get better and better while our groups get bigger and bigger. We've also mastered the art of ordering food here - we get several family platters/combos to share over the table so that's always a good way to make sure you'll get the kebabs you want. Their onions on the side are almost sweet - a perfect compliment to this salty meat, the white sauce is amazing and the lamb chops are some of the best I've had in Long Island. Definitely come here - expect a wait if you're coming after 8pm because that is standard brown time to eat! read more
