    Lamb over Rice
    Alice L.

Awesome service, good Lamb over rice. The Chicken kebab was spicy (which was a surprise), it was delicious with the spices.

The meat was as dry as a desert and basically inedible

This place has unfortunately gone downhill- and when I say by a lot I mean it. They used to have great food and service but I'm pretty certain the owners switched hands because both the food and service now are absolutely appalling. For $13+ a platter, I expect the food to at the very least be fresh but it wasn't even that. The rice and meat tasted old and the rice to meat ratio was like 8:2- if you're going to charge so much you have to give enough meat! And can it not be from the day before? I ordered several platters for my family and I and none of us could even finish the food. I am really disappointed in Halal N Out and will not be returning again- they lost a loyal customer.

Standard chicken and rice platter, what you would expect for this kind of meal. The unique aspect of the options would be their choice of yellow rice or "spicy" rice, which tasted like it was cooked with cardamom pods (not spicy, more like spice-y). I paid close to $11 for just the chicken and rice platter, which did come with a free can of soda, but felt overpriced for the quality. I'd prefer Shah's Halal Food a few minutes away for better quality for the same price.

Came here today for the first time. Place is nice inside with a couple tables. Customer service was excellent!! I ordered 2 of the lamb & chicken over rice platters each for $9.99 You can choose from a bunch of stuff to add to the platter. The food was awesome!!! I'll definitely come back. They also have different stuff to eat also milk shakes.

This is supposed to be a chicken shawarma platter with chicken kebab, hummus, grilled onions, bell peppers, pickles, pita and garlic sauce.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Since that's not an option, they are getting one star at best and I'm being generous. Let me break it down for you in a few words: Do NOT waste your time, energy, and money on this place. We ordered from them tonight. Not only did our food take an hour to arrive, but it was cold. Once we opened everything up, we came to realize that this wasn't Mediterranean food like they are advertising. It's a gyro cart that is falsely advertising that they carry shawarma. We ordered a chicken shawarma platter that was supposed to come with chicken kebab, hummus, pickles, grilled onions & peppers and garlic sauce. Do you see any of that in the picture that I posted? Because I do not. They are charging $15 and upwards for a $5 gyro platter. Absolutely disgusting. The chicken shawarma wrap & beef shawarma wraps were the same. It was gyro chicken/beef thrown into a wrap. We also ordered a garlic sauce on the side and received a store bought ranch dressing! Lol The descriptions of the items on the menu are completely misleading. They are claiming to be a restaurant that specializes in shawarma and that is completely untrue. They should be shut down unless they modify their name and their menu items/descriptions of those items to reflect what they are actually serving. So short story long: Save yourself and DO NOT make the mistake that I did by giving this place a chance. The food wasn't what we ordered and it was awful. You're better off going to Shah's Halal and getting a gyro platter because that is exactly what this is. What a huge disappointment.

My coworkers and I have been ordering lunch from Halal-N-Out every other Friday to our office for the past 2 years, and they've been great every single time! Chicken is seasoned very well without being spicy, their white sauce slaps with a bit of tang, and the addition of salad and pita makes for a well-rounded meal. We order through the Seamless app and delivery has never taken more than 25 minutes because they prepare so quickly. I always look forward to lunch from here since I never get to leave the office with how busy it gets!

The food we ordered was less greasy n less salty comparing to other types of halal. It definitely worked for me the salad came with cucumbers rather than lettuce alone.

Update to the Owners Comments: Just so you know let me update it with few pictures from that night . This is how it looked . I have a lot of friends that own businesses, and I assure you no one is in competition with YOU or trying to put you out of business. Thanks again.. Good-luck

I ordered the lamb chops while my husband had the chicken shawarma, and both plates came with rice, vegetables, and a fresh salad with a homemade dressing that was incredibly tasty and unlike anything we've had before. The drinks were homemade too - we had the lemonade and iced tea - and the presentation of everything was beautiful, right down to the mint sprigs in the glasses that added such a nice touch. We were served by the owner, Elias, who was warm, personable, and provided impeccable service the entire time. Even though we didn't order dessert, he surprised us with baklava on the house - delicate flaky layers topped with honey and pistachios that were absolutely delicious. If you're looking for a relaxing place to enjoy great Lebanese food, Beit Zaytoon is definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere is comfortable, welcoming, and not cramped at all.

Recommended! ~ Fattoush Salad ($15): very good; fresh veggies with a fresh herb dressing. Another great palate cleanser ~ Samboussek Jibneh (feta cheese dumpling) ($12/4pcs): loved these! The dumplings are deep fried but weren't greasy at all. This was a treat! ~ Lahme Meshwi (grilled filet mignon cubes w.rice & veg) ($40): I thought this dish was a tad bit overpriced but great nonetheless. The filet mignon was so tender and prepared perfectly. The rice and grilled veggies were good also. ~ Kaftan Kebab (grilled minced lamb kebabs w.rice & veg) ($25): the kebabs were very flavorful but could have used a sauce. I ate some with the Baba Ghannouj and it was wonderful. The assorted grilled Vegs were great. Note that they do not serve tap water; must purchase bottled water. Beit Zaytoon is located in a small strip mall, so there is plenty of parking available! Recommended, and I would definitely return to explore other menu items!

During our interaction we found out that Avli has another location in Bayside NY and this location was opened 2 years ago. When the order was ready, they brought the food out to us. We had the lamb gyro. This a huge meal, a delicious looking masterpiece that was assembled well and I found it very satisfying. This was an all lamb gyro, other places sell mixed lamb and beef. I'll start by saying that aesthetically, everything looks amazing and the portions are huge. The menu is interesting. There wasn't SO much that I wanted (a strange amount of Panko-breaded options) but ultimately settled on the Pegasus wrap (which I see now isn't even on the menu on the website but is orderable?). It's essentially a lamb gyro wrap with French fries, onions, and spicy feta sauce. The lamb gyro I felt was a bit lacking in both seasoning and amount. I'll never really support raw onions in a dish, so that was a bummer. But what I think really ruined this wrap for me was the spicy feta sauce. I'm not totally sure the thought process behind this choice, but it doesn't work for this combination of ingredients. And I can handle spicy pretty well but this was really quite spicy. I would have much preferred a normal feta/tzatziki combo. And the French fries in every wrap/sandwich is a choice and kind of overpowered the other ingredients. That being said, I would consider going back for something else on the menu because the prices (especially for the portion) is nice.
