Last night we decided to go for Greek. This is my go-to Greek place even though I live a few towns over. It would not be considered fine dining from an ambiance point of view but it's cozy since it's a family run business. They do a lot of take out but there are tables to dine in should you choose. And, the menu is extensive with one dish more mouth-watering than the next. Once settled in, we started our evening with octopus and hummus. The hummus is different than I ever had before, yellow in color but so tasty and creamy. The octopus was grilled perfectly. For entrees, we had pasticcio, lamb chops and a falafel sandwich. Entrees were large, served hot and delicious. The lamb chops were incredible. Don't sleep on any of these dishes, if they are available to order. Last but not least, get the cheesecake and carrot cake. Better than most bakeries around!! Service: Our waitor Yanni was great. He was attentive, and chatty. Dominic, the owner, is often there and checks to make sure you're satisfied. Any hiccups can be quickly fixed. The outside is unassuming but definitely try it out. We have been going here for many years. Greek Corner never disappoints. We usually get the gyro sandwiches, sometimes Chicken Souvlaki, fries, Greek salad, individual Greek Pizza and recently my daughter ordered the Santorini Wrap. All their food is prepared fresh and very good. We have gone to other Greek Restaurants and even though they were good but Greek Corner is still the best in my opinion. It's rather small and they do mostly takeout, but you can eat in. They have several tables, and the atmosphere is ok, not fancy but it's quaint and comfortable. Nice place. Use to frequent Carle place location. That locations started great. Went downhill. Then closed. This place seems to be "ok". Decent enough food. The pros are: - Delivered right on time - Fish filet size was good! That is all. Well. Let me get you cons: - Grilled swordfish entree for $24. So greasy. I had to squeeze the whole lime to dissolve that fat a little. Hopefully, it was an extra virgin olive oil, which I doubt. - The side of veggies was, even more, greasy -- buttery. - I asked to keep the honey mustard dressing on a side for the tossed salad since I never tried their dressing before. They poured it all over the salad. I had to rinse my salad to eat it. And nothing to say about the veggie burger. My fiance said It was average. I'm glad there is a Greek place on Long Island that is not super expensive, delivers through the late hours. But I'm not sure if I'd recommend it to a friend who eats clean as me. Mediterranean (Greek) dishes are much cleaner compare to what we experienced tonight with the Greek Corner. Buy two get one free gyros are a ripoff. I bought them yesterday and there was three strips of meet per gyro. The lettuce was brown and the tomatoes where mushy. I spent $40 on pita bread. To top it all off the man at the counter is unpleasant. Will not go back. read more

Where to begin? Oh, yes...WORST.GREEK.FOOD.EVER. I honestly can't describe in enough detail how bad this food was, but I'll try. I ordered chicken solvaki with rice. The chicken was good but the rice was awful. It was some wierd vegetable rice that reminded me of school lunch in high school. Since when do Greek restaurants not serve basmati rice? It came with a Greek salad that tasted like it was prepared and packaged the day before. The tomatoes were slimy. I also ordered hummus, and it was like nothing I've ever seen it tasted before. I am not a huge fan of this place. It used to be much better, but has dropped the ball lately. For one, the rice is so oily it actually hurts my stomach when I eat it...so I stopped ordering it of course a while back but occasionally forget the discomfort and try again, only to be stopped in my tracks and asking myself what the hell was I thinking. The Gyro's are their saving grace, although they are super salty. I know all gyro's are salty, but I find these more than most others, and the white yogurt tzatziki sauce which used to be amazing, is now just plain terrible. It had so much thyme that three of four of us couldn't even or wouldn't eat it. The souvlaki is ok, actually its pretty good but its commingled with the rice which tastes good but destroys you. I've had many of the greek appetizers...wouldn't try to spell them out here but they were always just ok, but as time went on I kept getting turned off of stuff as I ordered it and now go up the block to Alpine Garden which is much more consistent. I have eaten here dozens of times through the years, but think my last visit was just that...my last. read more

Small restaurant on the corner. Walked in on whim with my family for lunch. Best Greek food experience ever. The waiter was so helpful with helping us pick our meals. I have a souvlaki sandwich, husband had falafel sandwich and son had a gyro. Waiter helped my husband to pick a sauce for his sandwich he ended up going with a tahini sauce that he said was delicious. Everything was brought hot and delicious. For dessert they gave us some amazing almond cookies and candies. I cannot wait to come back and keep visiting this small business that loves their customers read more

I use to love the food here but things have changed. Tiropita use to be Delicious but the last Two times I ordered it was dried out. Last visit I ordered chicken Gyro platter, which is my usual go to meal and it came looking and tasting like chicken jerky. I complained to the waiter and he said they changed their supplier. I said regardless of the change in supplier, it shouldn't be dried out and never brought to the table looking like that. The waiter said That was the way he liked to eat it. They did bring me another plate which was better, but nowhere near where it use to be. We came in group on 6 to celebrate our family event and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and the amount. The portion size was big and we could share many of the platters and have a taste of all the food we ordered. The restaurant has a good choice of Greek Imported wines that complimented our dinner, and we even receive a Chief compliment in form of Baklava to finish our fest. This is a real Greek owned Greek food restaurant not just a joint run by non-Greeks and I'm Greek so I know delicious Greek food! They have it all in Greek specialties including my favorites which remind me of my Mother's (RIP) home cooking tender chicken souvlaki, keftethos meatballs, leukoniko sausage, excellent spanicopita filo/spinach pie and Greek salads with real feta and kalamata olives! Even the pita is perfectly warmed and chewy. I've not been in the restaurant yet due to the pandemic but delivery is fast and friendly even with social distancing. I ordered a lamb gyro platter which I was very excited about and which promised "strips" of lamb gyro meat. I was upset when I opened my platter to see chunks of what appeared to be beef or pork, but definitely not gyro meat. This is the 2nd time I've gotten delivery from them and something has either been wrong or missing. read more

For a little hole in the wall with a few tables, unexpectedly great food is served! I was awestruck at what was coming out of their kitchen! I have only eaten there, so I don't know about their delivery service, but everything we ever ordered was top-notch, except the chicken gyro which tasted like bland cold cuts. Everything else was awesome, and the portion sizes were generous. Plan on bringing home leftovers. I love their lamb gyro, falafel, lemon potatoes and orzo the most. Food used to be a lot better. Portions shrunk, prices rose. Also online prices are no longer accurate. I was charged $ 100.85 for meals for three people, plus a salad. Online price was $ 78. Dont use grubhub here. I don't know how else you'll order because the customer service is abysmal, but that's my tip. Someone in my house was told, an hour after placing an order via grubhub that they have pretty much blacklisted us for lack of tipping without bothering to confirm. Usually, when we order through grubhub, it's due to shortage of cash so we put the tip on using the app. Apparently the drivers don't get their money through that which sounds more like an internal issue, but sure, pass the buck to the customer. Why not? We had receipts to disprove this claim but the self proclaimed manager wouldn't hear it. This could have just been a misunderstanding, but their refusal to work with us and sort this out was the final nail in the coffin. It's not that it was such a big loss to begin with. The quality of the food is very up and down. I haven't ordered from there since August, personally. I also had an allergic reaction to a menu item that didn't list nuts as an ingredient anywhere in the description (avoid the cheesecake allergy sufferers.) It's the principle and that they'd behave this way after we've ordered from here for years. That's years of lousy tips? Get outta here. This restaurant makes some great gyros. Small seating area. The guys here serve quickly though. I ordered a gyro, a Pepsi, and some fries. Fantastic meal together. I would recommend it. The atmosphere of this place is more authentic than most other gyro places. All in all, this place feels Greek. It has less of a pizzeria feel to it and more like a Greek cafe. read more

This place was only okay. It was very much Americanized Greek food. Carebear had the feta and olive platter - nothing too excited and she didn't really like her Spanikopita. I had the Moussaka and it was only meh - the potatoes in it were great, but the sauce tasted like canned sauce to me. The Avolemono soup didn't have any lemon in it at all. I also tried the Galakorobouriko and it was totally inedible. I would go back here to give it one more try, but I am not sure they can impress me based on the first trip. read more
