Ugh very disappointed with Laffa, and I've been dying to try it. I came for a large group lunch, so the menu was pre-set. We were also the first reservation of the day. First of all, the bathroom was absolutely filthy. How??? No one has been in the restaurant yet. There was dry urine all over the toilet, dirty paper towels all over the sink....just disgusting. The food is mediocre at best. The best was the hummus/falafel/baba platter and the fried zucchini sticks. The meat was a joke. It was a small piece of each kind of meat, poorly and very sadly presented. The roasted veggies were barely even roasted. The fries were soggy. The salad was tasteless... Also, we were given only wine glasses and no water glasses. When we asked for more glasses for everyone, they brought one. One glass. Very upsetting. read more

Came for the laffa, left with regrets. The bread itself was chewy and cold by the time it hit the table. We ordered the chicken shawarma plate and lamb skewers. Chicken was dry, lamb was gristly. The garlic sauce was the only saving grace, but that's not enough. Service was slow even though the place wasn't half full. Probably won't be back. read more

So i just ordered a pecan pie slice (which comes with icecream) and the picture on yelp and on doordash shows a slice of a full sized pecan pie (maybe like 10inch im estimating from the picture online) and i get my order and they literally sent me a 3 inch table talk pecan pie with a 2oz condiment container with a spoonful of ice cream. I wouldnt be so infuriated if it wasnt $16 JUST FOR THE "SLICE" thats NOT counting delivery fees and everything... INFACT if you look online on their menu it costs the same. Jokes on me because I should of known better. I looked at reviews of this place before... but i figured oh i seen an actual picture of their pie slice so it cant go wrong.... LOL what a horrid place. The food here was so good and they had such a nice variety. It was a different style than other place like it that I've tried. I went with 4 other people, and we were happy to share a number of the appetizers. I particularly liked this dough ball that had meat in it, and another dumpling kind of thing that had meat in it. 2 other people at our table particularly loved the plov. We all came in hungry and left super full! There was one particular server working there who was so sweet, I wish I had gotten his name so I could praise him. read more

Everything was great! We had the chicken schnitzel and my son had the lamb. We enjoyed the food, the service and the ambiance!

This was a laid back vibe place in hewlett. Plenty of parking which was nice. The food initially was not great. We were served a toasted Laffa bread, & a little variety dish of small sides. The corn salad had hair in it so that was a turn off from the beginning. Falafel: 2.5/5 the texture was great, but they were definitely lacking in flavor. They were very bland and could've used some more salt/spice. Baby Chicken Laffa: 4/5 this was very good, it was a nice balance of chicken & fillers & a nice big portion. Overall I wouldn't come out of my way to come here again, but for what it was it was a mediocre meal at best. read more

Came in all the way from Fresh Meadows, Queens.... Finally!!! - One of the best Mediterranean cuisine places ever! Fresh brick oven Laffa bread with beef Yemenite soup...and the Moroccan cigars for starters are full of flavor. Combination platter with falafel was perfect in both flavor and texture. The food is excellent; the service on the other hand is absolutely terrible. Orders were taken incorrectly and other orders were delivered to the table 15 minutes before the rest of the orders. I really wish they would get their act together but until they are able to do that we will not be coming back. read more

Don't even think about ordering on seamless, your order goes through and you're charged Except the restaurant is closed and this seems a problem with the business. We just went for Mother's Day and we enjoyed our dinner very much. The appetizers were great, the Yemenite soup was excellent and the entrees were all very good as well. The service was good and the staff was all pleasant and friendly. We would definitely go back there. read more

This place is amazing - if this place was closer to where I live. I would most likely be there buying food every day. Love the plov with the carrots and the meat. What an amazing experience we had at Laffa bar and grill. The food was excellent, service was very fast and the atmosphere very warm. Very friendly staff. Their Tandoori Laffa is to die for... so delish; very authentic Israeli/Bukharian cuisine. I especially loved the Moroccan Soup, the Rib Eye steak and you must not leave without trying their homemade chocolate cake YUMMMM....(certainly not out of the Betty Crocker box) I would recommend this place to anyone, it's good for a date night or family get togethers. Relatively quick, prompt service. Food overall is ok, not great. Standard middle eastern / Israeli fare. Had laffa with beef. Meat was good, yet the whole meal lacked any real flavor. Pretty bland. Relatively new restaurant in the predominantly Orthodox Jewish Five towns area. These people took over Ahuva's. We were welcomed by a young kid who asked if we have a reservation as they were fully booked! When told we didn't were seated in one of the table for twos even though the place was empty. Our order was taken and we were served complimentary Israeli salads and a very burnt pita. It tasted more like matzoh. We ordered an appetizer to share and two entrees. Meanwhile people kept coming in without a reservation and being seated. Even couples seated at tables for four. Our appetizer came, and so did our entrees at a table for two. I told them to bring the entrees back. More people without reservations being seated. The waiter did us a favor by passing by every now and then. Not stopping to see if we need anything or asking about the service. In fact no on seemed to care if we were there or not. Plenty of other kosher restaurants in the five towns, good luck to then, because they won't make it on the service. Shame is the food was good. read more

after new ownership took over the place took a major nosedive(we used to come all the time when it was Ahuva's) the waiters are young teenage boys who know nothing about food service or food safety. They touch food directly with hands, they touch their body parts or scratch their hair and then continue to serve food without washing hands, the salad plate they bring to each table looks like its been sitting around for days and its just disgusting. By the time he brought out our food we were so grossed out. the food was ok but seeing all of these things made me really nervous about what came in contact with it before it got to the table. never coming back. read more

Went here with the family on a Sunday and we really enjoyed it. Very nice establishment and courteous waiters. The food was surprisingly delicious. We enjoyed the complimentary salads and the amazing Laffa bread. Had to ask for me b/c it went so fast. We ordered the falafel plate, lagman soup, swarma, and burger for the kids.
