    Laffa - delicious!
    Marissa S.

Five in its category -- really tasty and fast Israeli/Mediterranean food. Went with my critical Israeli husband who loved it and said the food tasted exactly like food from Israel. I had the laffa with baby chicken shawarma and really enjoyed it. Would definitely be a regular customer if I lived in the area!

Chickpea salad $3.25 .... Comes with your lunch but if you want an extra it would be $3.25

I came here to try Israeli food for the 1st time and I have to say it's not bad. I got the baby chicken shawarma sandwich which is a big serving. This sandwich also comes with a chickpea salad which I quite love. I don't imagine anyone eating the entire sandwich in one sitting. I had about 1/4 of mine along with the chickpea salad and I'm full. Will have the rest later for dinner I suppose. The service was great. My server was super NICE. I have no complaints to be honest. And I quite liked the sandwich

Apparently more stuff to sling on the side of, or in your entree.

Big Phil, the Rabbi and I are walking the "it's never been this muddy" trails, in Rabbi's "natural preserve" which isn't exactly what I'd call it and I'm thinking the NY Parks Dept ain't calling it that either. Sadly, I'll review it -- oh, and by the way, the Rabbi isn't an ordained Rabbi. And Rabbi now wants to walk way the hell out of the way and totally away from where we live for Jewish-ish food, but it's hard to deny the 72 year old gung ho guy of our walk, eat and talk session. Rudeness factor in typical fashion is thru the roof to me, a non chosen one so Rabbi stepped in as I stepped out, as he sensed an epic tounge lashing and slashing was about to be unleashed - the ones I save for just such an occasion. Inside it's dark and doesn't look particularly clean, like an old sailors bar on a decrepit forgotten wharf somewhere. So we're at zero stars at this moment and I walk to the corner to sit and wait. The dish was lamb, can't quite quote it's name, but it was a well seasoned neat wedge, on the bone with a medium to medium rare cook temp. Along with the six or seven slivers was a creamy hummus and one of the freshest most wonderful side salads I've ever had in a take out establishment. Unfortunately the tin slipped out of my hand and went crashing down in Main Street because I'm the biggest clutz alive and am constantly dropping things, so the lamb didn't photograph well, so sorry bout that.

FYI - They accept the Foodie Card. The food is very good. Great for take-out. Centrally located in Lawrence.

Best Israeli style shwarma and felafels in the area - I have tried many other spots too but this one comes on top everytime.

I really wanted to like Aura, the location is close to me, the interior is beautiful, the menu…read morelooked great, the seating was cozy and dim, the drinks were lovely. We went the first time for restaurant week and ordered: Zucchini chips: large portion, was a good start! could have used salt but that's easy enough for us to add. Whipped ricotta crostini: perhaps because of restaurant week the portion was much smaller than in photos and of the 3 crostini, 1 was badly burnt and the other 2 must have sat in the pass for a bit too long as they were soggy. Branzino: this was an uncharge on the restaurant week menu, the fish portion was large and cooked well but it was very unseasoned, there was no carb, just over broccolini, which was surprising there wasn't a grain, potato, anything given the upcharge. Seafood linguini: this was the most disappointing because it doesn't have a description on the menu but the name matches the 'linguine al mare'. It's an identical dish except they omit the scallops without noting that on the menu, it was very bland, didn't come with lemon, were 2 slices of pickled chili which were great when you got them but more were needed. Personally, I would go for drinks and vibes - albeit the drinks are expensive, cocktails are $19.
