Very clean place. Simple, nice decor. Drinks were refreshing , but small glass for the price. Margarita pizza and fried mozzarella as an app were tasty Main course salmon was delicious and well prepared, as was pasta dish. But prices of both very high for an average serving. And charging $3 for cheese...that's just a cheesy thing to do. I know inflation is all around us, but the main course prices were about $10-$15 higher than they should be. Unfortunately that alone would make me reconsider going back here for anything more than a drink and appetizer. The place has good potential and seems to be doing well overall, so maybe adjustments can be made in the customers favor with some things. read more

Their Mac and cheese is my favorite thing on the menu! They also have a nice drinks menu. They have a pretty set menu, but some of their food is pretty different than what you'll see at other dairy kosher restaurants. They will always welcome you and thank you for coming to the restaurant, and they always sound sincere, so that's always a pleasant feeling. read more

This was such a nice restaurant, great ambience and delicious food. We hosted a goodbye dinner for a coworker here and we ended up having such a nice time. Be ready to spend $$$ like no other. The only reason I have 3 stars is because there was a roach in one of our drinks. I have to start by saying I am not a big fan of kosher restaurants in general. I find them overpriced and food not as good. This was the first time I went to the Cork & Spice. There were a total of 5 of us and the service was excellent. The place is mostly a expensive pizza place with specialty pizzas for one or two. I had a caesar salad and a pasta dish which was pretty good. I did not have any of the pizza, But my wife and daughter polished it off. I found the atmosphere very nice and the whole place was nicely set up. I found the bill to be on the expensive side and overpriced for what we ate. However the food was good and if you are looking for a good kosher dairy restaurant then the Cork & Spice is a great place to go. I give it 5 stars for quality of food and service. read more

I was in the neighborhood with my daughter and decided to grab a quick bite with her. In front of the establishment there were a group of ppl crowing the front door which made it a little uncomfortable having to ask for space to enter. Me and my daughter both had our mask on and were not greeted. I had to ask for a table. I must say the price of EVERYTHING is over priced!!! $20 for a small plain cheese pie and $14 for a glass of wine. The service and food quality gets a 2 star from me. You would think that finding a great kosher diary restaurant in New York would be easy but you would come to learn that it isn't.  There are maybe two (maybe 3) kosher dairy restaurants worth going to if you want to have divine melt-in-your-mouth dairy and fish masterpieces in the tristate area.  For me and the wife trekking from queens is always worthwhile when going to Cork and Slice.  First off, the ambiance is phenomenal.  You can tell how much thought went into even the minute details in the setup of the bar, the tables, the dark dyed wood walls and brick overlay - even the handles and door jams in the bathrooms were specifically chosen to set the mood that C&S was going for. In addition to the very modern interior feel, there is great music playing in the background. Once inside, the staff is noticeably attentive and we found no issue with service. In fact, our waitress often came to our table to refill our glasses with water and asked if we needed anything (as it should be, always!). Now to the best part - the FOOD!  We tried the following items, fries, eggplant polpette, fish tacos, French onion soup, Bucatini pasta , the Russian pizza and the crème Brule - not one thing didn't exceed our expectations.    The eggplant polpette, was a refreshing twist to eggplant parmesan (NOT breaded and fried), beautifully crafted and presented in a small caste iron pan.  The dish was bursting with flavors.  We opted for the fish tacos and that was a great addition to our meal, which was the ultimate bite.  It was balanced, crunchy, flavorful and brings so many different tastes in every single bite.  The fries were the perfect crisp and was the first thing we finished eating, simple yet addicting.  The home-made pasta, bucatini, was our favorite dish.  It was creamy, boiled to a perfect consistency that made a party in your mouth.  It was  a whole new take on how pasta should be made and delectable one at that.  The pizza didn't fail to impress either and was crispy and contained sparks of flavors.  Finally the dessert, hands down the best crème Brule, I've had in the longest time.  The only issue we had is that we couldn't finish the entire meal!  Highly recommended!! Such a cute place in Cedarhurst. Convenient to the railroad. We had the grandma pie which was absolutely delicious. The cheeses and sauce were . I love to have a few drinks and the bartenders were skilled the drinks taste amazing. I have to go back to try the iced coffee. Went out last night for a last minute birthday dinner for my best friend and finally got to try @corkandslice Before I get started on how amazing the food was I just want to say that for me service is most important and we had a really nice waitress! Shoutout to orly she was super nice and great with her recommendations! Now onto the food... just order everything! Yes it's literally one of those places that everything taste good! Pictured are the bucatini pasta in a mushroom truffle cream sauce. Then the pan fried mozzarella, there is no explanation necessary for that, did you check out that cheese pull mac and cheese is life i don't care what anyone says! I've been to this restaurant several times. The food is fantastic. However I don't suggest coming here on a Saturday night. We were two people got there at 10:15 and we were only seated at 12. The wait is ridiculous. Came from Brooklyn and this is the only restaurant I like in the five towns. Me and my husband came here for dinner and really loved it. The place is pricey but worth every penny. We had a bit of a wait and they don't take reservations Saturday evenings. The ambiance was pretty great slightly rustic but very modern. The service was pretty good too. All the waitstaff were very attentive the entire evening. The food was incredible. We ordered French onion soup, buffalo pizza, truffle fries, a tuna steak nacho, lavender pomegranate iced teas. Everything was very flavorful and tasted really great. The buffalo pizza was a little to spicy for me but it was hard to resist because it was so tasty. The menu had so many great options so I look forward to going back to try everything else. Had dinner here last week and I just loved it! Was a Thursday night at 8 pm and definitely more crowded than I thought. We had to wait little bit for a table. And we ended up all the way in the back next to the kitchen door. Not the best seating. Still, really wanted to just enjoy the night. I had a few friends recommend this place. We ordered the "honey I am home" drink, eggplant carpaccio, fish tacos,bucatini. Drink came and was good, but bit too strong for me. They gave us bread to start off which was good, but my only complaint was they could have put the oil to dip the bread in something nicer than that little plastic container. Eggplant carpaccio was delicious! It comes with crispy pita chips help dip. Very nice flavor. Fish tacos were good, but nothing spectacular. Bucatini was star of the show for me. Wonderful flavor, they cooked pasta just right and the mushrooms. The sauce it's cooked it was just heaven. The waitress was so sweet I wish I caught her name. No matter how busy it was she always check by to check on us and gave us great recommendations. So did the other waiters. Everyone was so busy running around, but we were still taken care of well. If our waitress was busy someone else brought the next dish. In middle of dinner the hostess came to move our table away from kitchen a bit, because someone canceled a reservation. That actually made a difference for us. We enjoyed our meal much more. On to dessert. We got the chocolate lava cake and strawberry gelato. All very good. Cork and slice is my go to now for dairy restaurant. What I loved was the decor was beautiful, staff is great, food delicious, and it's a great place for family dinner and dates. The waiter was amazingly not interested in his job, but was quick to tell us - even before we sat down - that there is a time limit of 1.5 hours. I was highly disgusted at the service (or lack thereof) at this restaurant. I have ordered take out (which was good) from this restaurant numerous times, and decided to go in person. The hostesses were rude and cold. When I entered the restaurant they just looked at me and did not greet me. I asked them for a table for one. She asked me if I wanted to sit at the bar or the table by the door. I said neither and asked her if I could sit at another table; she got visibly frustrated and said no these are your options. The vast majority of the tables were empty. I don't know what would of been so hard about sitting me at another table. I should of left at that moment. I sat down, the waitstaff seemed to be nice, but it took nearly 15+ mins before somebody came to my table. At that point I was so annoyed by the rudeness of the hostesses, who continued to stare at me while I was sitting down, that I decided to leave to go to another restaurant that has hostesses with manners. After that treatment, I do not plan to go back or order food from them. I was too hungry to call a manager at the moment, but I will definitely write the manager. read more

It's a shame when a restaurant has such good food but an incredibly rude staff. Went with a big group for a friends birthday and when the bill came, naturally it took a few minutes to figure it out. Mind you the bill was over $400. That's when they decided to play the jeopardy theme song. To us that meant, "get out" and "you guys are dumb for taking so long with the bill." When asked who decided to play it and why, they started to laugh and offered no apology after expressing how rude we thought it was. A kosher restaurant should NOT be for only those who keep kosher. It's imperative to understand this! "Cork & Slice" was able to attract those who not only keep kosher, but those who do not. "Holy Schnitzel" in Queens would NEVER bring in someone who does not keep kosher--the standards have been set so low it's not even funny. I'm also talking about you, "L'Bella" ... now known as "Bravo" (also in Queens) ,,, both absolute disgraces ,,, If I were comparing "Cork & Slice" to the average kosher restaurant, this rating would be 5 stars, however, I'm not. The friendly environment combined with the 'Brooklyn-styled' architecture entices the individual to survey the nice variety of options. **NOODLES ARE MADE IN THE RESTAURANT, NOT STORE BOUGHT** I thought the pizza was above-average, along with all the noodle/pasta dishes. Sauces could have been better, along with cheese qualities. When indicating truffle oil as part of the description, my girlfriend and I did not taste any truffle oil whatsoever. Sometimes, the menu should have been a bit clearer about the contents of the dishes. The noodles we ordered were al dente (not a big deal at all), but there was no indication of that at all. Parmesan bread is highly recommended. The noise levels can get very loud!!! Watch out for this (if you're in the back room). There were many individuals who were asked to be reseated.
