Disgusting service. Management sucks. Waited an hour for a pizza and was told to leave. On FaceBook, this was managements reply: Cork & Slice Hi how are you, I am "manager number 1" who actually happens to be one of the owners here. As to every story there is always 2 sides and I would like to explain mine as well. Before I start, let me just say tonight was the first night of Hanukkah and Christmas Eve which both fell out on Motzie Shabbas, a night where some of our employees asked us to be off including our pizza cook, hostess, kitchen staff and front of the house staff. Therefore I "manager #1" was at the host stand and "manager #2" who happens to be the other owner was helping out with pizza. Let me also say there was about an hour wait at the door throughout the whole evening. After I finished seating a table, I was rudely greeted by you by the entrance of the kitchen screaming "are you the manager? These girls are f'n stupid" I said excuse me mam what's going on? You replied "what you don't know? They didn't tell you? These girls are stupid! This place sucks!" ...no I didn't know because I was at the host stand seating tables the entire night. When I asked you to talk to me in a different location other than the entrance to the kitchen, you walked away screaming across the dining room. I then told "manager #2" to go and talk to you and see what the issue is. You then continued to scream at him saying "this is a pizza place and I can't even get a pizza, this place is horrible this place sucks!" That's when "manager #2" asked you to leave the restaurant as you were screaming across the entire dining area. You received everything including all the drinks besides the margarita pizza for appetizers, and the 4 entrees which you left before. We feel obligated to post video to show your behavior tonight. We are here to ensure all of our guests have a good time here. But, my staff are people just like you and we will not stand for such verbal abuse. We here at Cork & Slice, protect our employees and we will not tolerate that type of behavior from anyone. Mistakes do happen, but this is no way to act. Not to mention, your husband who posted the review below you apologized to our waitstaff about your behavior. In Response: What a completely fabricated response by "Manager 1". Instead of apologizing for the lack of service you and your staff failed to provide us last night, you blame my wife for her behavior? Really? Then finishing your megaliah with another lie that I apologized to your staff? Are you fucking kidding me? Admit it. You and your staff dropped the ball and messed up. Again and again. Here are the facts. (1) We arrived well before the rush. In fact we were seated immediately (2) A table immediately next to us sat down 5 minutes after us who received their appetizers before our drinks. (3) They received their mains before 3 of the 4 appetizers arrived to our table plus they paid and left still before the missing pizza (4) Another party of 6 people sat down and 10 minutes later 2 pizzas for their table arrived. (5) Your staff kept saying "it's in the oven" and our repeated requests for a manager to speak to us was ignored. Additionally, when I left the table I tried to find the waitress I found you instead. You asked if you can help and as soon as I mentioned the missing pizza you walked away and started helping someone else. Rude and disgusting. Those are the facts. Like I said before, instead of apologizing you decided to blame the customer with complete bullshit and lies. That is not how an owner or manager operates a restaurant or any other establishment that services the public. You should be ashamed of yourself. This is a very good kosher restaurant in Cedarhurst.Ambiance,service,food and everything else is good including lighting and background music....Easily deserves 5 stars but wait till you get the bill! I flew in from LA to meet clients for a lunch meeting in Long Island. I heard of Cork & Slice from yeahthatskosher and saw all of the positive reviews so I made reservations here. Both my clients and I were so impressed, the atmosphere was welcoming, the service was top notch and the food was downright amazing. We ordered the funghi pizza and snapper, my clients instantly fell in love. The owner Boris came by to our table and welcomed us with open arms, it felt like family. I absolutely love this place, i wish they had one in LA. Cork and Slice. You won't forget the name after you eat here. You just want to go back again and again. I've only discovered it around summertime when I went to a dinner party with my coworkers. Since then, I've eaten there countless time. It's an Italian style kosher restaurant, by far the best in the area. It could easily be compared to a Manhattan restaurant. The place itself is amazing, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and they want you to have a great experience every time. The food is absolutely fresh and delicious! I've tried most items on the menu, my favorites are the risotto cake, the bucatini (a creamy mushroom pasta) and the snapper. Pastas are a must try! Pizzas are also unbelievable, thin crust and just delicious! I like savory foods but you cannot miss the creme brulee. I really recommend it. Cocktails are delicious, they have really good liquors and they use freshly squeezed juices for the drinks. I usually order the sangria, it's spectacular. I spoke to the owners a few times and you can tell that they really care about their customers. I even brought my friends from Europe and they loved the food! While the name of this restaurant is a bit confusing - just from passing the sign a few times in my car, I thought it was a steak house (i.e. wine cork and slice of beef). After deciding to patronize the establishment however; I found it to be very tastefully decorated, and staffed with an attentive and friendly waitstaff, so I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism of the restaurant, especially given the fact that it's located in, often times, rude Cedarhurst. This is an upscale Manhattanesque restaurant, and kosher that serves gourmet pasta, pizza, fish and such. After looking at the lunch menu my wife and I decided to order iced tea, onion soup, a pasta dish, and the fish tacos. The first thing I unfortunately noticed was a dead mosquito in my Iced tea, I did tell a staff member who kind of halfheartedly acknowledged this gross fact, but did not react in an appropriate manner. I wasn't offered something else, I wasn't offered a discount, I wasn't offered a different drink, an apology, or an assurance that the chef or manager would be notified. So I was left to wonder what conditions the kitchen was subjected to, or if the tea was standing out for a long period of time in the back without a cover. The second thing that caught my attention was the fact that my wife had a whole Bayleaf in her food, a potentially dangerous no-no had she swallowed it. In spite of this, I found the food to be delicious. The soup was light and contained just the right amount of cheese, the consistency was also very good and it was not oily as you might find in other similar genres of eateries. The pasta was hot and tasty, the sauce was perfect, and the portions were ample. The fish tacos were light crunchy and satisfying. My wife who is herself a fine cook, found it to be top-notch. It was somewhat pricey, this meal came out to about 75 dollars for lunch, without the tip, alcohol, or dessert. They also have an upstairs room for parties and overflow which is quite nice, there is plenty of parking in municipal lots and on the street, but beware the parking meter maids will get you if you're not careful. read more

I rarely eat at kosher restaurants but this is now officially my favorite restaurant, kosher or not. Since I've discovered it I've been back weekly with my entire family and friends in tow. I've recommended it to literally anyone in a 30 mile radius. IT'S SO GOOD. They change the menu often and they always have incredible specials. The mixologist is truly talented as well, I have not yet been disappointed once in any of their drink options. I know it's a pizza place but try the tuna tartare! It's the greatest I've ever had!
