First time here. We will definitely be back. I had a Greek salad with gyro meat and it was the best gyro meat I've had in a long time. I also had a chicken skewer that was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. I felt the prices were fair on the whole. My only complaint would be that my 6 year old granddaughter was charged $15.00 for a cheeseburger and fries. No way she will ever eat more than maybe a third of it. There needs to be a children's burger. That took off a star. Offer a burger kids meal and get the other star. read more

The service was minimal but fine. The woman answered the only question I had (About mixing gyro meats into one pocket--not named beef and lamb--answer was "No"). I got a pork gyro that was overcooked and overly charred. The beef and lamb one, however, was well prepared, and tasty. Did not get a good vibe from the rice pilaf side (If Ben's version tastes better, then you're in trouble). I opted only for onions, not tomatoes, with both gyros. There was more than enough food for a hungry person such as I, but again, the fantastic beef-lamb gyro was offset by the almost-burnt pork one and by the bland pilaf. I feel like I just wasted my hard earned $21 on mediocre food! Everything I had there was too much pepper...the meat, the lemon potatoes. I left with heartburn, had heartburn the following day! The staff just kinda stand there spaced out and stare at everyone. One lady had to point out that the sun was hitting her eyes and to please turn down the blind. God forbid if they move! When in the mood for Greek this place has been hitting the spot. I love when a place offers Moussaka because theres more to Greek food that gyros. My favorite the chicken lemon soup. Hits the spot everytime! I opted for spicy feta side. But it wasnt too spicy. My husband ordered the gyro platter ans was too full to eat his salad! If not for a Groupon, I wouldn't even know this place existed. Apparently, there are several locations. This is a small, fast casual restaurant (can seat about 10 ppl). Counter service; no waiter service. They have all the basics: Gyros, Souvlaki, Salads, Dips/Spreads, etc. Something for everyone! Is it the Best Greek food I've ever had?...No, definitely not, but a great option if you're looking for a quick, casual meal. They even have $13.95 lunch specials Mon to Fri; 11-4pm. Items we've tried: - Greek Salad ($14.95/Large): fresh n tasty; ask for dressing on the side. Comes with warm Pita bread. - Gyro meat ($6 add-on): we added it to our Greek salad. It was tasty but it didn't include any Tzatziki Sauce. Had we known, we would have ordered some. - Pork Souvlaki platter w.lemon potatoes, chicken lemon rice soup, pita bread and Tzatziki Sauce ($20.95): this platter was huge and delicious. It came with 3 delicious skewers of pork. The soup and lemon potatoes were great! And the warm pita really hit the spot. Recommended if you're looking for a quick, casual meal. Had a great dinner here with my family. The young man at the counter was very nice as we ordered. They pack everything to go which I think is a little weird when we planned to eat in. But at least it was easy to bring everything home since we couldn't finish the large portions. It's small because they're counting on people carrying out. But it's brought and nice with a few tables. The gyro meat is delicious! I had a pork souvlaki platter and it was so good. Very good for the money. I enjoyed two of the three skewers, rice, and pita. I was so full I didn't even start the soup. Greek Xpress is a perfect alternative instead of the fast food burger joints and has been my favorite stop when I have been on the run or too busy to cook a nutritious meal. Greek food is unassuming, vibrant and exceptionally nutritious. Greek food is considered to be heart healthy because their dishes work with herbs, olive oil, fish, grain, vegetables and lean meats. Oh, and of course especially Lemon! Some of my favorite dishes include Pastitsio, Moussaka, Spanakopita, and Souvlaki. I'm done ordering from the Franklin Square, NY location. Every time I order takeout after 8pm I always have to hear a lecture about how I need to pick it up by 8:35 bc they close at 8:45 (even though the hours of operation states they close at 9). I never receive utensils or napkins along with the takeout and the price seems to increase way too much. $25.80 for 3 measly chicken kebab pieces, potatoes, and a Greek salad that is mostly iceberg lettuce. Not worth it at all so I'm choosing to give my money to another business from this point forward. read more

I love Greek Xpress! The food is on point! Healthy, delicious and lots of options. My favorite is the Greek Salad with Grilled Chicken. You can tell that the feta cheese and olive oil they use are authentic and very good quality. The staff was super nice and accomodating. My son is Gluten Free and they were able to make him a Gyro on Gluten Free Pita. He was so happy - it's become his favorite place to eat. read more

I ordered a Gyro platter with grilled vegetables (worth the $1.95 extra) and a Cesar salad. I ordered the gyro two years ago and wasn't impressed but heard it was spiced up and so I tried it. AWESOME. My tastebuds are still dancing. Working on half the salad and saving what I already know are great grilled veggies for tomorrow night. So happy that this place opened closer to our home. We love the one in Great Neck, but it's too far away. We've ordered a number of times from this restaurant and not only is everything delicious and fresh, but very plentiful. We have had the santorini salad, Greek salad, grilled chicken with grilled vegetables, the lemon potatoes, the roasted chicken and the red lentil soup. This place has been under construction for awhile but it's finally open for business. Located inside Franklin Plaza, between King Kullen and Rite Aide, parking is never really an issue. Greek Xpress is a chain, and I have been to the other location in Great Neck on numerous occasions. The menu looks the same and the food quality is pretty consistent with the other location. They offer both counter service and table side service. Their prices are a bit high for a fast casual place, a platter is around $18 and I've typically spent on average $60+ for 2 people in the past for take-out. Their frappe is very frothy, and very rich in flavor. I wish they would offer more plant based milk alternatives (almond or coconut) besides soy. Soy milk has a very strong and distinct taste, and no matter how strong a coffee beverage may be, you will only taste the soy. My lactose intolerant self will just need to deal with the dairy and consequences for now bc their frappes are pretty good. The food itself is mediocre. Their tzatziki sauce is not my fave and their falafel is a bit hard sometimes. Their curly fries are good. I wish the pita sandwich would have more ingredients inside, it's often really dry. It's a nice addition to the area, and the closest Greek place close to Stewart Manor. It's not the best Greek option but it's not the worst. Additionally, on my visit today, the young girl who helped me was very polite. read more

I order a Greek salad with chicken souvlaki. The regular size was 20$ when I opened my salad it was made with iceberg lettuce. EVERYONE KNOWS A GREEK SALAD IS MADE WITH ROMAIN. I called to complain, and was told I have to specify which lettuce I want to use. Both locations East Rockaway and Franklin square Suck! I won't be eating from them ever again. Ordered from them on Grubhub for pickup and upon arrival the staff were very friendly and kind. The food was amazing and honestly one of the most hospitable establishments I've ate from in a while. One of the workers I met shared the same name as me (James K) and even with alittle confusion at the restaurant they gave me a free gyro due to the order confusion.
