The worst chicken over rice. The chicken was rubbery and slippery. I believe they undercooked the damn chicken. How do you mess up chicken? The food tasted like a sauced-up mess. The white sauce tasted more like ranch. The garlic sauce gets lost with everything else. The bits of rice that did not get any sauce were the only edible thing in the platter. Home of the BEST and REALEST Nashville Hot Fried Chicken sandwich that is HALAL in NY!!!! I've tried various Nashville Hot halal sandwiches and they just never met my standard... except this one at Crave Shack's. It's not drenched in sauce or powdery from being over seasoned. It's just absolute perfection and has that Nashville Hot spice that kicks in over time when you take a bite. This isn't a spice level to be scared of. It's pretty tolerable if you're used to some heat. The benefits of it not being drenched in sauce means that you can actually enjoy the crunch of the fried chicken. You're going to want to enjoy the crunch because it is crispy and nice! The pickles are a great addition in them too. I love their unique takes of over rice dishes. The Jerk Chicken is an absolute must as well as their steak over rice. Both over rice dishes that you don't really see at other similar establishments and should be deemed as Crave Shack's staples because it started here. Haha. The Crave wings are drenched in Guyanese flavors and it's something to definitely try when you are there along with your rice dish. It's tangy and sweet... straight fire!!! The Crave Burger is absolutely crazy! Smoked in-house, the brisket and the patty, and always made fresh daily... The quality of this burger is definitely worth the price tag. It's a perfect combination that'll put you to sleep because you'll catch the "itis". I just think that once again, Crave, has really started something with topping a burger with brisket rather than the typical "bacon" ordeal. Simply put... This is a nice addition to Franklin Square and their Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich helps fill in the gap that was left when Holy Chick shut its doors. The service was fast and polite. The location is in the Lidl parking lot which means tons of parking in the front (but I suggest parking in the back). The sandwich was really good, absolutely no complaints. It might be missing something that I can't quite put my finger on, something to give it that "wow" factor, but it's a good sandwich. The restaurant itself is clean and functional. A good place to sit for a quick bite. Be warned though, like everything in this parking lot, right after 3pm if fills with students for about an hour so seating is an issue. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu, so far off to a great start. read more

Ordered dinner from here and found it to be quite pleasant! I ordered the jerk chicken over rice and the Nashville hot chicken bites. The jerk chicken was well cooked and I loved the two sauces they put on it. Not sure what they were, but they were great. The real winner though was the Nashville hot chicken bites. They were SO well cooked - hot and juicy and the sauce was PHENOMENAL. Would absolutely get them again. The portions are quite sizable and the prices and super reasonable. This complex has been due for a spot like this. The food here is great. I got the lamb sliders (tender, and tasty however on the pricier end for small sliders), the nashville Hot chicken (so tender and perfectly made with their signature crave sauce) as well as waffle fries (well seasoned). Highly recommend getting their signature crave shack sauce to dip each sandwich in. I'm definitely coming back, and would like to try the wings and their lamb over rice platter. I got the jerk chicken tacos which had so much flavor and a spicy kick. the Nashville chicken bites were fire, I could've eaten all of them (unfortunately had to share). The waffle fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I didn't get to try my friends smash burger but judging how fast he ate it I think it must've been good! It's slightly on the pricey side for a casual spot but the quality of the food and service made it worth it. We got the food to go but there are a few tables and high tops to sit at. **READING IS FUNDAMENTAL** I've made several orders online for delivery over the years from this specific location and usually I'm not disappointed. However, there is no quality check and no accountability. Previously I tried their jerk chicken tacos (fabulous) but I requested the removal of the onions and pineapples. FYI I'm allergic to pineapples, my lips & mouth burn and my throat swells. Regardless of what I requested to be removed they still provided & delivered the dish with items I'm allergic too. Recently I ordered a HAMBURGER for my child. Very basic order. Yet I was provided a CHEESEBURGER?!? 2 different items listed on their menu. I only asked for a hamburger since my child has a dairy sensitivity. I called and requested the proper order be delivered. Sadly the only solution was I had no choice but to make and pay for a new order. That's the only option I was allowed to take. To avoid developing a headache and dealing with a hungry child I had no choice but to dispute the charge and take my business elsewhere. Serious retraining is needed and a quality check program needs to be implemented. read more

The Crave Shack has a clean modern artsy ambiance. The food is traditional meals like cheeseburgers and tacos BUT with so much flavors because of the owner's own rich take on the toppings and sauces. Quality ingredients makes the Shack's meals prepared just right. Service was quick and friendly. They offer students discounts which is rare in the area.
