I was just passing through this town to meet a friend and I saw the name "Wayback Burger". So I went to Yelp and viewed the menu and pics. For some strange reason, the name wouldn't leave me. I turned around to visit this place and it locked as if it was closed so I called and they were open. I went inside and the gentleman (Adrian) immediately offered to help me and coach me on the item of choice. The ambiance is casual and very calm. This is a peaceful atmosphere and offers serenity and relaxation. I ordered the double bacon and tarts. I wanted sweet potato fries but they didn't have them. I am very fond of Adrian's engagement with me and how he displayed empathy when I asked for sweet potato fries. He said how much he lived then but they don't have them. The tarts were cooked to perfection and the burger was very fresh. It has everything that makes a burger complete. Start with the double patties - add pepperjack, pickles, lettuce, jalapenos, chipotle mayo and other favorite toppings. Tasty and juicy but never greasy, bun holds up until the end. A dab of mustard kicks it up a notch. Coffee shake is delicious. O-fries go perfect with it. Try the hotdogs too, they're hearty and plump but not too salty. They do indeed fit their throwback feel of the classic burger place for sure. The burgers are made fresh to order just for you which is nicer than your typical fast food burger place that has items semi - cooked/pre cooked places. What's more intriguing is their sides that you can order along with your burger selection. Know that anything can be customized. My first experience was so tasty and fresh that I definitely went back a second time to try more of their menu. From the minute we walked in , we were acknowledge with a friendly hello . Continuing by a nice gentleman who explained the menu to us, While this , two nice ladies fired up the grill and made us two delicious fresh burgers and just fried french fries and tots! It was truly pleasant to see how well these 3 worked together ! And the food was delicious ! You could really tell they take pride in their burgers and food . The daughter even gave me some fries to try with my burgers - sweet. WATERY BURGER - Unfortunately, my burger was super watery.. and also very bland. Construction of the burger could have been better, and there was little to no sauce. BEWARE PLASTIC CAPS Also- toward the end, the plastic lid of my coke fell apart and my burger was drenched in coke. 1/5/2017 UPDATE Since I written this review, the owner reached out (see attached comment) that they were only in business less than 2 weeks when I tried them. I stand by my review and the details are accurate. Also, I believe that a business should be ready on day 1, but in talking with many restaurant owners I understand the struggle of finding good workers so I plan on giving them another chance in a couple of months to see if they worked out the kinks. Hope I can give them a better rating, please keep this in mind as you read my original review: __________ "Come to Wayback Burgers! We'll get some food, have some fries" I heard my friend's voice in my head, which I repeated sarcastically (while crawling through a vent.. um.. don't ask.). Yeah, I'm a DIE HARD yelper so when I heard that Wayback burger opened near my house you know I had to try it, but after kinda wished I didn't. Wayback has a nice, organized online ordering system, which is great until you realize they only get about 80% of your order correct. A couple of issues - ordered the Buffalo Bleu chicken sandwich that did not have any buffalo bleu sauce. They charged me for 2 ranch and 2 chipotle mayos, but we only received 1 of each - I think. We received two sauces labeled with a C on top, one was for CAESAR dressing the other was for CREAMY RANCH - doh! Why not label the ranch "R" to avoid confusion? or maybe they were the same sauces hard to tell the difference since they didn't have much flavor. I had the Wayback classic and selected "our way" (Ketchup, mustard, onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato). It reminded me of a dryer, saltier knock off of the Five Guys burger. The patties were extremely well done (no option for ordering any other way). The fries were a little under cooked, cold and mushy - reminded me of Wendy's fries. Onion rings were decent, but small amount for an order - hardly enough to share, order 1 for each person that wants rings. The chicken Ceasar salad was at least entertaining for my stepdad who made a game at try to find any of the grilled chicken and got excited when he discovered any of the meager pieces. All the Parmesan cheese was on the bottom of the salad - weird. The vanilla shake was a nice size and freshly made. The parking lot in this shopping center is like the wild west even on nice days never mind when they is slushy snow on the ground so be cautious here! The kitchen is open for all to see the confusion behind the scenes. There are too many great burger places and chains for me to waste time coming back here again, but I still have a gift card that was given to us since the online ordering system doesn't allow you to use it - any takers? read more

My family and I order from here through DoorDash all the time and we really love it. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the last couple of times I've ordered, I've ordered the cheese fries and they were made incorrectly which is annoying. I've ordered them many times before that and loved them, but recently they've been using like a beer cheese instead of cheddar jack. I even went back to check the description to see if I missed something but the description still says it should be made with cheddar jack. Even upon entering we waited at the counter for so long to order -which is fine if everyone is busy- but greet me! Say "hey there please give us a moment". Don't sit here miserable and not communicate. Again- fantastic food but I'm not sure it's worth this kind of wait! The food was pretty good, portion size of sides is smaller than comparable burger places. The customer service is seriously lacking. I ordered from here for delivery and they forgot something from my order. I called immediately after noticing and I was told that they had the missing item there at the store and they would send it back out with the driver... then, nothing. After 40 minutes I called back....4x with no answer, went to their voicemail. Finally, after an hour, someone picked up. The person I spoke to then said he was "aware of the problem" but, "it got busy," and they weren't going to send my item and they weren't going to reach out to me to tell me that. They refunded the part of my order that the item was missing from, but I didn't receive one apology. The food wasn't bad, but the customer service, or lack thereof, left a bad taste in my mouth.
