Came here the morning after a snowstorm for brunch, and it was delicious. There are a few parking spots in the parking lot across from the corner of The Harrison. Can you really go wrong with a restaurant that provides a bread basket? The steak frites and sauce were cooked to perfection, and the flavor of the sauce was delicious. The eggs benny came with arugula and home fries. I thought the plate of French toast could have had a little more decoration, but it was yummy. Our waitress was very nice and checked up on us a bunch of times and encouraged us to get dessert (which I appreciated!) Service was excellent, the booths were comfortable, and the food was delicious. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.

The Harrison absolutely delivered. I attended a ski trip themed party, and the entire experience was amazing from start to finish. The atmosphere was fun, energetic, and well executed everything from the décor to the crowd made it feel like a true event, not just a night out. The music was diverse, which kept the energy high all night and brought everyone together on the dance floor. The drinks were strong (in the best way), and the bartenders clearly knew what they were doing. I also met a lot of great people, which says a lot about the vibe and the crowd the venue attracts. Overall, an excellent experience. The Harrison is clearly a place that knows how to host a memorable event. I would absolutely return.

We went for restaurant week on a Friday night. It was very crowded in the main room but the back room luckily wasn't filled up yet so we got a table for four of us without waiting. We ordered drinks first and that came very quick. Then we ordered our appetizers which came immediately. The burger was delicious on it's own, same for the meatballs. Our table mainly got the steak and fries. The steak was cooked perfectly for each of us. We got medium rare, medium, and medium well. All of which came out correct. The peppercorn gravy tastes good but overwhelms the flavor of the steak. I enjoyed it but one of our party didn't even use it so it's a hit or miss. Service was excellent even on a busy night. Our waitress was very accommodating and kept checking in with us. Overall had a great time and will definitely be back!

I was lucky enough to win an Instagram contest from The Harrison and their sister restaurant Luigi's NHP for the Super Bowl. The Harrison provided us with 10 of their incredible smash burgers and a tray of their amazing homemade Mac and cheese! They were so sweet to accommodate making the burgers with just cheese and providing the sauce and veggies on the side. My kids went crazy for the burgers especially. The Mac and cheese was delicious too and I really loved the mezze rigatoni as the pasta used. Everyone I corresponded with from the restaurant was also so nice. Thank you so much for the food!

The Harrison at UBS Arena seriously exceeded expectations. We ordered the burger, which features a Pat LaFrieda proprietary double-stacked blend, smashed and fully dressed with American cheese on a brioche bun. While it was a little disappointing that there were no add-ons available, since the burgers are made in batches and placed on the counter for grab-and-go that minor drawback was quickly forgotten after the first bite. This was easily one of the best burgers I've ever had. Juicy, flavorful, perfectly smashed, and incredibly satisfying. My husband agreed so wholeheartedly that he finished the entire thing without hesitation. Always the ultimate endorsement. The burger also comes with a side of French fries, which were just as delicious. Crisp, well-seasoned, and a perfect complement. For arena food, The Harrison is on another level. If you're at UBS Arena and craving a standout burger, this is an absolute must.

The moment I walked in, the ambiance felt very fancy and busy! The food turned out to be okay, nothing different or special to be honest, what I really noticed is that the places were packed by brunch time on a Sunday so be mindful of that! The service was fast, we sat at the bar so we had the server/bartender all the time! Overall, the place left me feeling satisfied and I'd maybe consider coming back for a private event. They had a separate room for it and it looked pretty fancy in my opinion!

Went to The Harrison on a Friday night for the first time. The place was lively and seemed like the spot to be. I had the Rock and Roll sushi roll and calamari. The sushi was great, calamari was just okay. My cousin loved her pasta, and portions were good. Service felt rushed, though; at one point a server tried to clear our plates before our food even arrived. Overall, decent food and atmosphere, but the service keeps me from rushing back.

Came to celebrate my father's birthday because he loves steak and eggs, and the Harrison serves a brunch menu on weekdays. Simply stepping into this restaurant you get a comfy, cozy vibe. They curated the space so beautifully, makes you never want to leave! Server was so kind as well. The steak and eggs were delicious just as I remembered them and I can't wait to return in the summer to enjoy boozy brunch in their outside area.

Nice atmosphere, good service, bread is warm and water cup was always full. We came the night before Valentine's Day and it was busy! People were having a good time at the bar watching the Olympics. We started with a H cocktail and glass of red with the cauliflower app and pigs in a blanket. Both were seasoned well. Cauliflower was not over fried and had a nice crunch. I enjoyed the flaky layers of pastry on the pigs in the blanket. The complimentary bread was warm and fluffy with soft butter. For the main, I had the steak frites which was cooked to a perfect medium rare with yummy fries. The sauce was a bit on the watery side. Not sure about my husband's pork chop but he seemed to have enjoyed it. The dessert was a disappointment.. I had the key lime pie and it tasted like it was very old.. crust was hard and the filling was hard and gluey.

The Harrison is a staple in FP. Food is always good and service is always attentive. Came here for a birthday. Not pictured is the bread, calamari, salad and steak. Depending on the time it could be busier and louder than other times. Ambience is comfy.

I was here again recently for a large group dinner. Our server kept up well with us all through the night...15 people! Our drinks were always full and he was smart to just bring the pitcher. Dinner service was fantastic - all of the recommendations provided were spot on. Must try the steak, Berkshire pork chops, and branzino. Even the complimentary bread caught the attention of everyone in my group. One thing to note, the desserts are a little non-traditionally made. Crusts seem to be thicker and too much in proportion to the pie/cake slice. Surprisingly, the while still big portions, their quality was just meh on the desserts. Stick to appetizers and dinner fare, you'll be fine and stuffed. Previous review (2024) -Fun local neighborhood gem, serving American fare. The menu offers a Tavern style vibe, think burgers, chops, salads and pasta. There are a lot of options for brunch, lunch and dinner - all different menus I'm told. This was my third visit and each visit required a reservation. I've tried coming by without one and it was impossible. So plan ahead. Parking lot available across the way but be mindful to read the signs. One lot is for the residential building and the other is for the local businesses. The wait staff and servers all work together in unison. It is a well oiled machine here. The waiter is not necessarily your server and the bus persons are plenty. Complimentary bread is served warm and delicious. My favorite side dish has been the roasted brussel sprouts and of course the Parmesan truffle fries. Just the sheer size of the plates - very generous portions throughout. My girlfriend always gets the eggplant and I usually get the Berkshire pork chop or steak. The savory is what they are known for. Bingo night and brunch are also highlights.

They have part of the parking lot across the street (make sure you are parking in The Harrison designated spots and not the tenant designated spots!) They were already opened a few minutes before 11, and quickly became bustling with the many tables. Shoutout to Mark for taking care of us! He was attentive and polite. He started us off right away with their complimentary Parker Rolls, which were fresh, soft and buttery topped with a bit of flaky salt and rosemary. There was butter on the side, but I found it buttery enough to not need it. The Brussels Sprouts was a great portion to try as an appetizer. The brussel sprouts were very crisp and caramelized, which was balanced with the scallions and mayo. A few pieces were a bit too charred for my liking, but great dish overall. The BLT & E with Coleslaw was my choice of entree. The sourdough bread was a bit too hard for me, and the sandwich was stacked a tad bit too high. I toasted up a leftover half and ate it as 2 open faced sandwiches (one side BEC, the other BLT) and it was better that way. The right height and not too hard with only one bread slice. The toppings were fresh. The 44 North (seasonal cocktail) was more 44 North Huckleberry Vodka than lemonade, but good flavor overall. I squeezed in the lemon for more lemon flavor. I will have to be back to try dinner.

Ask the Community - The Harrison

Has anyone ever done a party/team dinner for 40-50 people here?

I've hosted a large dinner party, about 20 people. But we ordered a la carte. And on many occasions, I've seen folks host birthday's and wedding showers or baby showers. They do a good job. They have catering options too.

How is the parking for the Harrison?

There's street parking and a small parking lot across the way. I've never had a problem.

Is this walking distance to the ubs arena?

There is a LIRR train you can take from Floral Park ( right across the street from Harrison's) to The Elmont UBS stop. It's two stations west

What is the dress attire for here?

    Casual or Bussiness

Do they play sports on the TVs by the bar? Could you come here to watch the NBA finals?

    Yes

I have been living around this neighborhood for a while and I have not even tried stepping into this place-MY LOSS. Parking is not a problem as the joint has a parking lot beside it. My first impression after getting into their door: relaxed, friendly, and chill local bar, with a lively vibe and a decent size bar area. Casual, informal atmosphere, American pub fare with a dynamic, cozy ambiance. Bar offers a good selection of beers and cocktails and seems to be a popular local spot for watching sports or enjoying a casual night out with friends.  Unfortunately I was unable to try their food as me and my friends were already full prior to coming to this joint, but according to my friend who has been here before, he praised their food for being good which includes burgers, fries, onion rings, and wings.  The vibe is cheerful and energetic, they have a live singer, people watching sports on multiple screens, costumers chatting which tend to get louder as the night gets deeper. They have a wide selection of craft beer and signature cocktails. Staff is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. We have enjoyed their different craft beers, costumer and staff friendliness, and the cozy ambiance. Brew house seems to be a solid choice for a laid-back and fun local bar experience in New Hyde Park, especially if you're looking for pub food, cold beer, and a lively atmosphere with events.  Definitely coming back to try their pub food as recommended by my friend.

I had the tea experience with Black Velvet and it was just what I needed. I'll admit that the licorice and peppermint were very faint, but it was still a tasty tea and sharing a large pot with my partner, we finished the whole thing. My MIL loved her ginger peach tea, and my friends each enjoyed theirs, one getting his go-to peppermint and the other trying the red raspberry and remarking in how pleased she was with her choice. Lesson learned- if you come here and DON'T get tea (with the adorable teapot, teacup and saucer, all charmingly mismatched) you're doing it wrong. Because I'm weird, I just ordered the Irish soda bread with a dish of whipped cream as a "light" breakfast, and I appreciated that the server humored me to the fullest. My partner had a blueberry muffin that he was super pleased with, probably his favorite that he's found in the area so far. My MIL unabashedly devoured her chicken salad sandwich and the potato salad it came with - usually she's picky so that's quite the endorsement. The avocado toast and burger that my friends ordered all looked fantastic too. Great service, delicious food and tea, and very good prices- next visit will be for the live music!

He said it in a nasty and sarcastic tone the way my father would talk down at me, sometimes. Regardless, if paying for the seltzer was required, I would happily pay; but the fact that this guy was disrespectful about it was unwarranted. He reminds me of my dysfunctional parents when they get in their freaking moods. He also told me that there was a two-drink policy when there's a live band and also told me that if more people are coming to the bar, he would have me move. Basically, he was being unwelcoming and wanted to tell me (but couldn't since he was on the job) "fuck you asshole, you're not welcome at the bar". He didn't actually say that but those were the vibes I got from him. That kind of rude impression from him was just unwarranted. Now, I don't know what made me tip him $6. Maybe I wanted to be the better person in that situation since he was being a total asshole..and maybe I don't want him breathing down my neck about the service. He's a real jerkoff. Next time he does that with me again, I'm not going to be nice about it. He was lucky I kept my cool and chose to remain respectful instead of sink to his dysfunctional level that would remind me of my dysfunctional parents (not to mention, my entire dysfunctional family). So this one really stuck with me in the worst way possible because of bad experiences with my family (which would make more sense). That guy needs to be very careful with how he treats people. He will come across somebody who will be a lot nastier and impatient than him and he will get absolute karma for his rude behavior. He has a job. Therefore, he needs to show some professionalism (I don't mind informalities from employees, as long as they're being friendly people). The waiter I had, Marian H, was more professional and pleasant with me than Rich, the bartender, on May 16th, 2026.
