One word. AMAZING. My husband, son and I went here for an early birthdays celebration a few days ago and I am so glad I came here. It's very clean and up to date. There are some pictures on the windows on what dishes are what. I got the shrimp pho and my husband and I both got this vermicelli type salad. Everything was DELICIOUS. We also got these rolls that were amazing as well. The service was great. I'm assuming it was the owner, was the one who was helping us, and was amazing. He said the soul was ready before the vermicelli 'salad' and asked if we wanted it out first. We said sure and both enjoyed the soup. I myself put too much Sriracha in it so it was too spicy but that was totally my fault, not the owners. I put a little in at first and it didn't see like it went through enough, and then I put a bit more and it was too much. There also was a bbq type sauce on the table as well. From what I'm assuming. Amazing pho experience - favorite spot to get pho on Long Island! The broth is perfectly seasoned - I can taste individual spices such as star anise and clove. Authentic Vietnamese family owned pho restaurant. The broth is always what makes a great pho place and Pho 34 does not disappoint. It is spot on the best broth in Nassau. I've been to many other pho places and i suspect those places use pho powder mix. Not good!!!! Spring rolls are good but the summer rolls are fantastic. I also get the iced Vietnamese coffee. My daughter always gets the iced Thai Tea. Sometimes we split an order of the fried rice with our pho. That's yummy too. read more

Best pho spot in Long Island! They have summer rolls, bánh mì sandwiches, pho, etc. It's located towards the back of the Boston Market off Hempstead Turnpike. You may not be able to see it from the road but if you pull in, you'll see it on the corner. I highly recommend their hot Vietnamese coffee and pho. It really hits the spot on a cold rainy day and you can actually see the coffee being made in a phin filter. It can be on the sweeter side due to the condensed milk but you can ask them to give you less if you prefer. read more

GET THE BEEF TENDON IN YOUR PHO. IT IS SO GOOD. You won't regret it. And put some oyster sauce on it and hot sauce mmmm it is so good. I love it here I come here every time. EVERYTIME. I was excited to try this place. It's down the road from one of my work yards. The reviews sounded promising...... and I truly hate to leave a bad review. Buuuut I'm not sure who has had other Pho as a reference but my Pho tasted nothing like pho. Very bland. And I asked for beef & tendon. I received 3 small pieces of tendon. The beef was ample. Noodles were broken but ok. Neither the hoisin or the sriracha helped. Then I wanted to order a Banh Mi with extra pate. But they informed me they don't have pate. Whaaat?! No pate?! That's like spaghetti & meatballs without the sauce. Who does that?! I understand if you don't want the pate and ask for it without. But to not have it at all?! Stunned! Unlike a traditional pho restaurant, this place has limited pho options. The portion of the pho is very small. We ordered the combination pho, two grilled pork phos and the pick-2, but none of us was full at the time we walked out of the restaurant. There were only a few slices of meat in my pick-2 pho, and they cut the grilled pork very tiny. The overall food quality was okay, just very small portion. Pho 34 is an appropriate name because I wanted to give it between 3 and 4 stars. We ordered summer rolls and spring rolls as apps and I had pho with meatballs and rib eye while my wife had pho with meatballs and brisket. The rolls were pretty good although the shrimp in the summer rolls were grilled, which is unusual but still tasted good and the peanut sauce was very good. The spring rolls were also very good but they need to give more of the fish sauce. We had to ration, which is never good. Note that they give you 4 spring rolls even though the picture on the window showed 3. The pho was ok although there is a strange and powerful minty flavor that is unusual. Some complained about the amount of meat and while it is far from generous, it was not ridiculous. Overall, there were small issues with all of the dishes but still solid. read more

This pho is great, with one huge flaw. When you order the pho with vegetables, all of the vegetables used are clearly frozen and then added. Like the crinkle cut carrots, broccoli, and peas you would have as a kid, and zucchini discs. The quality is horrible, and the vegetables become spongy and strange tasting. The broth is phenomenal, and they give you a great amount of it as well as noodles and bean sprouts. But if you can't add fresh vegetables it's really not worth the price. I can't put into words how happy I am to have found this authentic little Vietnamese restaurant on Long Island, thanks to it being mentioned in Newsday. We were so excited to have Vietnamese food that we ordered a lot - Beef Banh Mi Sandwich, House Special Fried Rice, Pho Special Combination soup, Pho soup with meatballs. It is 4% cheaper if you pay cash/debit instead of credit card. Thanks to other reviewers I knew to ask for tendon and tripe to be added in the pho soup (they didn't have tripe but did have the tendon). For takeout the broth is in its own container, the noodles and meats are in a separate container, the sprouts/jalapeno etc are in a plastic bag, and then sriracha and hoisin sauce packets are included with the plastic spoons. The broth is phenomenal! The grilled pork with broken rice was cooked perfectly, marinated well and very tender. The fried spring rolls were also perfect. What a disappointment; went in hoping to find a good Vietnamese place, left still hungry and with a much lighter wallet. The grilled pork and egg roll over vermicelli had about 1.5 oz. of pork and one tiny (and chewy) fried spring roll. No mint, no pickled vegetables, just a lot of bean sprouts, lettuce and noodles in a bowl, for $17.00. My partner's marinated tofu over rice was just pre-fried tofu from the supermarket marinated and laid over rice next to a slice of tomato and a couple of lettuce leaves - that was like $16.00. At the end of a strip mall, the interior is somewhat sterile. Seems like it caters more to take out than a sit down. We arrived for an early dinner on a Saturday night, we were the only sit down customers. The two people working were busy with take out orders. We tried the grilled shrimp Summer roll, spring rolls and the beef pho. This was the first time I had grilled shrimp in my summer roll, I think usually it's not grilled. It gave it a different taste. The peanut sauce was flavorful. The spring rolls were tasty but I wish they gave more sauce as it was barely enough to get any on the spring roll, I usually like to dunk it in. My initial spoonful of the beef pho broth produced an unrecognizable herbal taste that threw me off. I got used to it and ended up enjoying it but I would love to know what it was as I have not had that taste at other places. I've had pho usually with a more subtle herbal flavor. All in all the flavors were there. It is not a date night kind of place, it's a place you go when you want to have some Vietnamese which I guess makes it more amenable to take out orders. read more

I knew this place as a former hole-in-the-wall bubble tea spot, so I walked into it not knowing what to expect. We ordered spring rolls, bun that nuong, and pho. It took a while for them to take our order, and then even more time to serve our food. The spring rolls were regular, seemed like something frozen that had been fried. The grilled pork noodles and pho tasted good, but seemed lacking in portion size. It was just not a great-looking meal, especially at the fairly high price point compared to other pho places in NY. I do think with this being a fairly new, family-owned business that went through the pandemic, they don't quite have everything down and running perfectly. But even on LI, better Vietnamese options currently exist. We had to order a bahn mi to go because the portion was too small. Again, things tasted fine and service was good, if a little slow. I am hopeful they will work out the little inconsistencies and develop into a solid neighborhood spot. read more

Looking at the pictures of the food and the menu here on Yelp, I thought that I was not going to have many options because I stay away from meat but when we got there the woman at the counter directed us to a menu that was different then the paper take out one. I was freakishly happy to see that They had Pho with tofu. We got a to go order and the Pho was packed up very smartly with the soup being in one container and the noodles, tofu, bean sprouts etc. in a different container. They also gave packets of hosin sauce and sriracha. The Pho was delicious, I could taste the spices that they used and what makes it special is those spices. 1 packet of hosin and 1/2 packet of sriracha and it was absolutely perfect. The only way it could be better would be if they didn't fry the tofu. I'll be back. I want to say that next time I will try something different but I know myself and because the Pho was near perfection, I'll probably order it again. read more

Had the spicy pork banh mi and it was amazing. After a long, crazy day, I needed a treat. The bread was soft but crusty. The veggies had a crunch to them. The spicy sauce on the pork was tangy and delicious (could have been a little bit spicier even). Even getting it to go didn't ruin the experience. The sandwich traveled well. Stopped by last Sunday after Home depot run. We ordered the pork chop with egg pattie over rice, pho combo, and spring rolls. The pork chop was tasty but would be much better if its bone in and bigger. They use the small lean pork chops you get from stop and shop. The nuoc cham is okay, could use more carrot in it. Fish sauce in it wasn't too overwhelming if you are use to fish sauce. The soup for pho was good! For the reg pho, you get to choose two of the choices. Husband tried the combo which had everything but he said he would prefer the reg if he can double up on the rib eye meat next time. Lastly, the spring rolls were good but very pricey at $8 for four. Overall, it was pretty good and we would go back. Remember to bring cash as there is an extra charge on credit cards. read more

Horrible experience. I made an order for pickup of 3 Bahn Mi sandwiches to try this restaurant out with my friends. On arrival my order was ready and did not have any napkins or sauces in the bag. I explained that we would be eating this food outside and needed a few napkins, and requested some hoisin and sriracha sauce. The staff gave me 1 napkin. After asking again they gave me 2 more napkins but refused to give me any sauces because apparently the sauces are for soup orders only. I then very politely offered to pay for the sauces and was told again that I could not have any because "the boss" didn't allow it. I asked to speak with this boss, and placed a $10 bill on the counter. The boss came out and reiterated that the sandwiches do not come with any sauce. I offered again to pay $10 for some hoisin and sriracha sauce and was very rudely told that I would have to pay for the sauce. I repeated that I was willing to pay and handed the $10 to the manager and was then told that I could have 2 packets of each sauce. Ridiculously rude staff, and a charge like that for 4 packets of sauce????? The sandwiches were mediocre/ below average too. I will continue giving my business to the nearby restaurant: Sup Vietnamese And neither I nor my friends will ever be back at this dump. Learn how to provide normal customer service!!! read more

I have definitely had better pho and Banh mi sandwiches. The place is not very warm or inviting in any way, but the staff is friendly. The food good. It's not anything to really write about. I do think it's nice that it's there because there really aren't any other Vietnamese options in this neighborhood. It's good enough for a pho fix! read more

From Queens to Bethpage we found this gem and were impressed by the taste and authentic we experienced. I really hate writing bad reviews during this time as restaurants, new or old, really need our support but I felt like I'd be doing my fellow yelpers dirty if I didn't write this one. I will say, the pho broth was not terrible. There's no quality viet restaurants around here so when I discovered this place, I was beyond excited. I did take out and got the combination pho, a banh mi and an iced coffee. When I got home, I swore they forgot to pack the rest of my meal. The combination pho was supposed to have extra noodles... If this is extra noodles, I'm not sure how much is in the regular bowl. I was able to grab all the noodles with one chopstick and the meat... What meat? It literally came with one piece of brisket, round and one meatball. No onions, no tripe, barely any noodles and even less meat. The banh mi? The sandwich was tiny, one piece of meat and the piece of meat was paper thin. Pretty much just ate bread. Iced coffee? More like a cup of milk. So extremely disappointed as the food was not cheap, but I'd be okay with it if it meant I'd get a quality bowl of pho, but instead we were ordering more food after because we were hungrier than we started. Decided to give this spot a shot ... glad I did. When you walk in, the wait staff takes your temperature and gives you hand sanitizer. If you don't like hand sanitizer and rather wash your hands in the bathroom, that's an option as well. I ordered an XL pho with eye round steak and meatballs, asking for the eye round steak to be on the side. I have to say, they're not cheap with the eye round steak, I got 13 pieces! WINNING!! The pho was delicious. My husband order the grilled beef over rice with a fried egg ($1 extra) and he felt the beef was over cooked and a bit dry. My son ordered the grilled pork chop over rice with a fried egg and really enjoyed it. We ordered the salt and green pepper (jalapeño) fried chicken. It was pretty tasty. I have moved into LI for a while and I figured to try this pho place for the first time with my family. First: the prices has been much higher from the menu pictures from just 4 months ago. Second: with higher prices, the amount of food was no match! In another word: the food was not worthy with this price! Third: I have order one pho with meatball and well-done flank, the pho special combo, and grilled chicken sandwich and a cup of Thia iced tea. The pho with meatball was barely enough fed my two boys (4&2, normal pho order is enough to feed them with food left over after both ate). The iced tea was nearly tasteless (which costed me $5.5). The sandwich only had about 1/4 chicken breast of meat in it. The broth for both pho were salty but not much flavor. Personal HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED! read more

I called and ordered take-out from this place a few weeks ago because I like to support new local businesses. Also, because I love Vietnamese food. When we went to pick up the food, it wasn't ready and we had to wait an extra 15 mins. The workers weren't wearing masks, which I'm pretty sure is a health violation. I hope they wear masks now. When we took the food home, we noticed the order of pho was missing so we had to go back to pick it up which was super inconvenient and annoying. Anyway, the food was just ok. The broth for the pho was decent but the amount of food was disappointing. For the price, it was definitely not worth it. I would give them another try since they're new.
