Decided to try this Pho spot the other day and was not disappointed. Best pho on Long Island - hands down! The broth is insanely rich, clean, and fragrant. It was definitely simmered for hours (you can taste the depth of bone marrow and star anise in every spoonful). Got the #1 Special Combination (rare steak, brisket, tendon, tripe, meatball) and it came out piping hot with a massive plate of fresh basil, bean sprouts, lime, and jalapeños. Also got the chicken banh mi which was very crispy and flavorful. Just a heads up, on the menu, they called it "vietnamese bread". In case you can't find it. Portions are huge, prices are fair (under $15 for a large that I can never finish), and the service is lightning fast and super friendly. With the weather starting to become freezing, stop by this authentic Vietnamese spot for a fresh bowl of pho. You won't be disappointed!

Food was good! Been looking for a local pho place to go to whenever the craving hits. The menu is extensive so I will be frequenting this place. The pho broth is flavorful but a little salty. I liked the sides that came out. Service was good and efficient. Ambiance is comfortable for conversation.

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet! We go here a lot and everything is very good. The ambiance is pretty casual but neat and cute. Light and healthy food. The service is pretty attentive. Normally we start off with the Thai crispy fried chicken which is always solid. Then, I usually get the beef pho with all the fixings but this time I wanted something light and got the shrimp salad. It was delicious! We also got bun Bo xue which is good if you want something a little spicy and fattier. The beef tripe noodle was satisfying as well. We paired the food with some drinks - passion fruit tea and kumquat lemon. We had a happy, healthy meal and left pretty satisfied. Plus it's close to Amart where you can get Chinese groceries, and it's open every day! Enjoy!

When I walked in, i was greeted immediately and seated right away. I've never been here before but I've heard so many good things so I was excited to try it. I ordered the pork banh mi, and the spring rolls. WOWOWOWOOWOW BEST BANH MI EVER! I even think it's better than the ones I've gotten in elmhurst. The spring rolls were amazing too! I ate everything!!! I'll definitely be getting my Vietnamese fix from here from now on!

The atmosphere was clean and open. However, probably not the best pho compared to the city or Virginia where I think most of the best phos are with such a large Vietnamese population. The portion was good. On the menu, each type of pho is only one type of beef instead of several unless you get the combo or one other one that only has brisket and flank. But for example if you want tendon you can only get it alone or in the combo. It would be nice if they have more combinations to choose from such as 2 types of beef or 3 types, etc and let diners choose. Also, the broth doesn't taste like traditional beef pho broth. It errs on the sweet side and has a lingering sweetness instead of the umami.

Greeted and seated quickly. Decor is very nice. Portion for pho is huge so took remainder home. Summer roll was very fresh and well packed. Broth flavor was good. Wish the soup temp was a bit more hot. If you need something, you need to speak up. They don't really check up on you/drinks.

Ambiance (5/5): The restaurant is super cute and welcoming with oriental decorations! The seasonal decorations were also beautiful (and even included the bathroom). The background music of popular pop songs was soft and allowed for conversation. Service (5/5): The service was quick and the staff was very friendly. They also speak Mandarin. There is a bowl of candy at the desk. Food (Overall 5/5): The beef pho (#14) consisted of thinly sliced beef. The broth was very savory and there was plenty of noodles for the portion. Will definitely come back!

Came here for dinner tonight and pretty much enjoyed my meal. I was seated right away and was happy when my request to not sit in front of the front window was obliged. The restaurant was decorated with Christmas decorations and the seats had holiday pillows. I ordered the rice noodle pho with beef tripe and a side of raw sliced beef. I appreciated the server asking me if I was ok with the cilantro and onions on the noodles .. which I declined. The noodles were good and the broth was very flavorful. The reason why Top Pho II didn't receive 5 stars from me was 1)the raw sliced beef had some dark spots in it, 2)even though the noodles were good, the portion of noodles wasn't a lot and 3)the glass of water tasted funny and the like slice that was on the bottom of the glass, didn't help. After all is said and done, I'd come back again. Wishing Top Pho II continued success.

Tried this new pho place with a friend! I'm actually not the biggest pho fan but I really enjoyed the meal here! The restaurant was cute and the service was quick and the pho and broth were really yummy overall and it's a good place for a warm meal!

We ordered 3 items. The #1 pho. Broth was top notch and doesn't try too hard like a lot of the "modern" viet places. Great traditional flavors. However, it is missing tripes and tendons which is a bummer but I'll overlook it because the broth was very good. The bahnmi had good flavors but it had a lot of veggies vs meat. However, the bread was perfectly crisp on the outside and slightly soft on the inside. Next time we'll try the pork or chicken bahn mi instead. And the chicken on the side was great. Soft and flavorful. Definitely a spot to check out if you're craving Viet and just want a quick bite that is sure to satisfy. We will be back!

She did not even give us water while we were waiting because she was busy cooking other customers' orders. The portion of the grilled pork chop was much smaller than last few time we ate there, but the pork chop was still tasty. The soup base and noodle portion for the pho was decent. There were no napkins at the table, so you would have to ask for it if you need that. Some disappointment, but may give it another try if I am in the area next time.

I would definitely come back to try other items from their regular menu. I found the entrees in the lunch special a little skimpy. These are the dishes we shared: -- Papaya Salad ($12): this is from their regular menu, and I thought it was excellent! Well balanced and so tasty! -- Drunken Noodles w.Beef (Lunch Special $14.95): this came with a Spring Roll and your choice of either Soup or Salad. We chose the Soup, which was a Tom Yum Soup. The Soup was very spicy but the Drunken Noodles were very mild; almost bland. It definitely needed more flavors and wok hei, but still ok. -- Massaman Curry w.Shrimp (Lunch Special $14.95): this came with a Spring Roll and your choice of either Soup or Salad. We chose the Salad, which came with a Peanut sauce. The Salad was actually pretty good; the peanut sauce was slightly sweet. The Massaman Curry w.Shrimp was very weak in flavor and only came with 3 little shrimps. I would suggest you order a different protein and skip the shrimp. Customer service was good; albeit there was nobody to greet us when we first arrived, so we just seated ourselves. But service got better. They didn't rush us to order and let us linger after we finished eating. But after a while, we were asked to leave since they close the restaurant in between the lunch and dinner service (between 3:30-4:30pm). Sorry, we were not aware of this! All in all, a decent first experience. Next time, I'd skip the lunch specials and just order off their regular menu.

***INDO-CHINESE FLAVOR BOMB IN YOUR MOUTH*** ***SUPER…read moreFRIENDLY FAMILY-RUN RESTAURANT*** INDO-CHINESE? In the early 1800's a large number of Chinese citizens, immigrated to Calcutta, a city in the northern part of India, close to China. After becoming established, many of these immigrants started opening restaurants to support themselves. And then, because of a lack of certain ingredients, and to tailor the food to the palates of the Indian citizens, these Chinese chefs altered their recipes. And these new recipes, incorporated certain Indian spices, and a heavier use of spices and sauces - which made these new style dishes especially appealing - and created what is known today as Indo-Chinese, or Indian-style Chinese food. MASTER CHEF MIKE TENG Mike Teng, son of Hakka Chinese parents, was born and raised in India. He started cooking at 14, and eventually became a head chef preparing Indo-Chinese food in Mumbai. Then in 1984, he emigrated to the US and worked in the restaurant industry, until he became executive chef at the famous Jade Eatery & Lounge in Forrest Hills Queens. And it was here that he became notorious for his unique cuisine, and went on to receive numerous accolades. A DIFFERENT APPROACH After seven years of grueling work at Jade, Mike decided to take a break from the restaurant industry for a while. Then in 2019 he opened Teng's Restaurant, and set up operations in a way that would minimize work. As such, the restaurant would only open for dinner, between 4-11 PM, and there would be minimal table service. So let me explain how this works: You sit down at a table, and a friendly family member takes you order and helps with recommendations if necessary. And then you grab paper plates & cups, and plastic utensils from a shelf by the front counter. There's also a refrigerator here with drinks to choose from. And then the food is served to you at the table in take-out style containers. THE KEY TO ORDERING HERE There are a relatively large number of items on the menu, but most of the dishes can be broken down into a few different styles, such as Hakka Chili, Manchurian, Salt And Pepper, Orange, Szechuan, Basil, Kung Pao, and Ginger & Scallion. And the key to ordering here is to avoid choosing multiple dishes in the same style, as the meal & flavors can become one-note in nature. But if your vigilant, and pick some of the best items from each style, you will be rewarded with an Indo-Chinese flavor bomb in your mouth. FIRST TIME? GIVE THESE A SHOT So a few recommendations to try on a first visit, if you're able to enjoy spicy foods would be: - Hakka Chili Style Chicken or Beef - Salt and Pepper Style Fish Filets or Chicken - Orange Chicken or Kung Pao Chicken - Manchurian Style Fish or Chicken - General Tso's Chicken or Tofu - Ginger and Scallion Chicken - Szechuan Wontons or Momos - Orange Glazed Wings or Hakka Chili Wings - Basil Fried Rice - Hakka Noodles And here's a few vegetable recommendations: - Manchurian style Cauliflower or Salt and Pepper Cauliflower - Szechuan Potato or Potato with Black Bean Sauce - Spicy Stir Fried String Beans. - Mapo Tofu - Manchow Soup with or without meat YOU'RE PROBABLY GONNA LOVE THIS PLACE After many visits here with dozens of different people, I've noticed first-timers always react the same way when trying one of chef Teng's best dishes. Their eyes open wide, and the head starts slowly shaking side-to-side, and then I hear grunts of mmm! or wow! I mean really, it never fails to be a wonderful surprise for everyone. But don't get me wrong, not everything on the menu is a home run. For example, some of the Asian fusion dishes such as Pad Thai or Mango Chicken are just weird. So even though there are some things to overlook here, such as no lunch service, or the cafeteria style vibe, If you choose some of the chef's best dishes, for sure that flavor bomb is going to hit you right in the mouth, and you'll definitely be coming back here for more. I always do.

The wonton soup was decent......wontons were very good but the broth however was a bit bland. Roast pork fried rice was pretty good.....a little dry and skimpy on the pork but the flavor was more than adequate. Hot and sour soup was really tasty with a good bit of spice. Scallion bubble pancake was very light and tasty. The Emperor cabbage appetizer was probably my favorite meal item.....crispy cabbage tossed in a peanuty garlic sauce with honey. It was served cold (which usually I'm not a big fan of, but this was an exception) and had a great flavor. Pork belly appetizer tasted very good but it wasn't crispy (which would have made it so much better) and the buns they were served with didn't taste completely fresh. Dan Dan noodles with ground beef was excellent.... they're served spicy and you can simply request the level of heat you prefer to fit your taste buds. Soup dumplings were of decent size and quite juicy...... unfortunately they lacked some flavor. Mongolian beef dish was excellent as was the kung pao chicken. Overall it was a pretty good meal but there was some room for improvement. The staff was very nice and it did have quite a cool "old school American Chinese restaurant" vibe from yesteryear.

I like that there are parking lots in the area and very convenient on Sunday when parking is free. When we entered this place, it was empty. It was like walking into a cave. The tv was on and music playing lightly in the background. On tv was a baseball game or documentary of some sort. The server greeted us but in general you didn't get a warm and friendly greeting. Seems like a nice guy, and perhaps he was busy. Not sure. Eventually a few customers came in. I highly recommend shut the tv off and play the music a bit louder. The menu is good but we were surprised that they had a limited pho selection and no curry or stew dishes. If I lived or worked in the area and needed a quick meal or takeout, I'd definitely order here. But if you're looking for a pleasant place to have a meal, then the vibe of this place is not it. Seems more like a Chinese takeout vibe. Now I know what you're going to say - it's called Pho Xpress - duh. But honestly with just a little bit more effort with lighting, decor and music, they could up there game. Will I likely come back again - possibly, but if I'm looking for a nice place to go with a friend or on a date, probably not. If I lived or worked in this area, I'd definitely would be a regular.

Park head in and do not park in the employee parking lot or else a ticket can cost you $75! Pho is one of my favorite food so I have pretty high standards, but low expectations for this place. Upon walking in, I was surprised to walk into an empty restaurant and the waiter greeted us and informed us that we could sit anywhere. I saw there were proper sauces (hoisin and Sriracha) on the table as well as stainless steel chopsticks and soup spoons! The waiter asked us our preference for water and handed us the menus. The menu is pretty condense with no drinks like Thai Iced Tea or anything. My friend and I shared an appetizer, the shrimp spring rolls. They were perfectly crispy and cooked. Wrap it with lettuce and dip into the fish sauce - it was perfection! I ordered a Normal Beef Pho and my friend ordered a beef banh mi. The pho comes in small, normal or x-large. My appetite is average and the normal was perfect size! The soup is well flavored and noodles perfectly textured, not too soft or hard. The meats needed a bit of work especially the meatballs. My friend enjoyed her banh mi and said it was sufficient enough to fill her up. The color of everything looked really good and I will probably try it next time! The restaurant accepts credit cards, but there is a 2.5% surcharge so cash preferred! There is also a one stall restroom, very clean and spacious. Great customers service and delicious food! Will be back another day with more friends!!

It's located in the broadway mall area so don't go flying past it like I did lol. I saw this…read morerestaurant being promoted on instagram so I decided to give it a try. When walking in I felt bamboozled because Instagram has once again made a restaurant appear to be a lot more grand when advertised but it's not a lot of sq foot when you arrive. The decor is nice, the flower tree is the most appealing part of the ambiance, and it's dimly lit inside with colors of blue, purple and hints of pink. I feel like my waitress was not only new to this restaurant but new to the restaurant industry and she needs work, she has potential but there's something about her personality that's lacking. Food was mehhh, I ordered the crispy chilli chicken which I was told was sweet and it was not. The chicken dumplings were good with the fried garlic on top which helped to complement the flavor. Mocktail was something you can make at home with orange juice and coconut milk. The veggie fried rice was delicious and the deserts were the best part of the night. I don't eat mussels and scallops but I heard that theirs are delicious so if you are interested give them a try. I myself won't be returning but I can knock it now that I've tried it.

My daughter and I decided to give this place a go and we ended up really enjoying ourselves here…read more The place is beautiful the parking lot is huge as it is in a mall lot so parking is not an issue at all. Inside is beautifully designed the bar is spacious and has a good amount of seats. The main dining room is not huge but can accommodate dinner parties and dates. The one thing I do have to say that is great is the menu items all have pictures and the food comes out exactly like those photos. This is a major plus! The drinks here were good I did prefer the tikka sunset over the blueberry drink I had. It was balanced and not to sweet. For appetizer they gave complementary edamame which we did enjoy they put a little spice on them. We ordered the octopus which was good bad great flavor and texture. We also got the mussels which were amazing! So flavorful and definitely a good portion size. We got this with the garlic naan which was also really good. The sauce that the mussels come in was delicious. They have sushi here which I wasn't sure about getting but the waiter said it was really good so we gave it a go. My daughter ordered a shrimp tempura, she loved it it looked great and was fresh! I got the whole braised Bronzino which was a 10/10 it was plated with a salad I mean I would get this dish each and every visit. ( unfortunately they have removed this from the menu and replaced it with another Bronzino option) For dessert I got the kheer crème brulee which is not your typical crème brulee it was like a rice pudding. Not something that I am used to at all. I decided to get the rasmalai cheesecake which was good I def say try that.
