We went for the lunch special which had two options: $12 lunch with choice of appetizers & main or $15 lunch which is the same as the $12 option but just includes a choice of drink. We both got Vietnamese Coffee. I got the iced and she got the hot version. The iced Vietnamese coffee is already premixed, but the hot version they give a side of the condensed milk so you can add as much or little you want. I tried their spring rolls which had a nice crisp bite. It was also served with pickled daikon and carrots for a nice refresher. For the entree I got the pho bo vein which had beef meatballs as the protein. The basil, jalapeño slices, bean sprouts and lime slice are on the side, so you can add as much to your liking. The noodles were nice and bouncy. The broth was light and flavorful. We always have great service every time we go. Definitely will be back in the future.

I did not notice until I was mostly complete with my sandwich, but luckily did not bite into the pepper before noticing the fuzz growing on it. However, you can clearly see the fuzzy pepper in the picture I took before digging in. I got the lunch special, which features a drink, app, and entree. The lemonade was nice and fresh tasting, the crispy wings were fantastic, and the banh mi was actually very tasty. Not the best I've had, but it was flavorful and the pickled veggies tasted fresh. I was very disappointed to find a moldy pepper, which ultimately ruined the experience for me. Hopefully, nothing I actually ate was bad, and this pepper was the only one that went missed in a kitchen check. I hate to turn folks away from a nice local spot with good tasting food, but I will never recommend a spot with moldy food.

There are some pictures on the windows on what dishes are what. I got the shrimp pho and my husband and I both got this vermicelli type salad. Everything was DELICIOUS. We also got these rolls that were amazing as well. The service was great. I'm assuming it was the owner, was the one who was helping us, and was amazing. He said the soul was ready before the vermicelli 'salad' and asked if we wanted it out first. We said sure and both enjoyed the soup. I myself put too much Sriracha in it so it was too spicy but that was totally my fault, not the owners. I put a little in at first and it didn't see like it went through enough, and then I put a bit more and it was too much. There also was a bbq type sauce on the table as well. From what I'm assuming. My husband and I will one hundred percent be coming back to try more!!! I highly recommend this place

The menu has also been updated: Salt Pepper Frog Legs - it is said that frog legs taste like chicken. In this case, I have to agree that the fried frog legs tasted like chicken wings, which is a good thing. 4/5 Beef Stew - unlike the tomatoey beef stews at some other Vietnamese places, the beef stew here is a little starchy from the potatoes and reminded me of Colombian Oxtail stew. It came with a sliced roll to dip. 4/5

Really homey feeling and typical of Vietnamese restaurants. The Noms: Pork and shrimp spring rolls- one of my favorite appetizers... generous portions of pork and shrimp, all neatly wrapped in rice paper. The peanut sauce is the best. I always order an extra serving Classic Banh mi- my husband and I always order two and they're very filling. It's not exactly like the Banh mis from California because the bread is not the same... but it's still very good and comes close. It definitely satisfies my craving while I'm waiting for my next trip home. Beef pho- I really enjoy their pho. It's good the broth is very flavorful.... In Cali, we have several different types of beef pho (dac biet, tai, gau, Bo vien, etc...) but this beef option has all of them mixed in along with some tripe (which I don't care for) so just make sure that you're aware of that and can adjust what kind of beef you want in your pho. In conclusion: I am happy to support this mom and pop shop and enjoy their food very much... while they are "cash only", they do accept Venmo/Zelle... I actually order delivery quite frequently to-go and have Billy saved in my Zelle account so that I could square away my bill and cut out Seamless and GrubHub, who take too much from struggling restaurants. Def recommend stopping by and enjoying authentic Vietnamese cuisine!

The rock shrimp were like popcorn chicken in the best way, light, crispy breading, not oily at all. The filet pho was lovely, it's huge, tons of noodles, very light broth, ofc comes with the bean sprouts, Thai basil, lime - would recommend a pho and the fish bahn mi was also really good, the fish was really crispy but the star was the pickled carrot and radish side- so light and refreshing, went so well with everything!

Traditional bahn mi has pate. Their menu even lists it. They couldn't have run out. I've been there a number of times and they never once put pate in there. Last time I've asked for extra pate and the guy asked what pate was. Such a rip off. Then I thought, let me try their pho. Their broth was fine as a Chinese noodle soup, mediocre at best, but it was definitely not pho. The noodle they've used was also not what authentic Viet restaurants use for their pho. Too many failures. Too many tries. Never going back.

We were a group of five and she was unwilling to pull the tables together for us, so we had to sit at two different tables. We placed our orders and waited for more than 20 minutes to get our phos. She did not even give us water while we were waiting because she was busy cooking other customers' orders. The portion of the grilled pork chop was much smaller than last few time we ate there, but the pork chop was still tasty. The soup base and noodle portion for the pho was decent. There were no napkins at the table, so you would have to ask for it if you need that. Some disappointment, but may give it another try if I am in the area next time.

We ordered 3 items. The #1 pho. Broth was top notch and doesn't try too hard like a lot of the "modern" viet places. Great traditional flavors. However, it is missing tripes and tendons which is a bummer but I'll overlook it because the broth was very good. The bahnmi had good flavors but it had a lot of veggies vs meat. However, the bread was perfectly crisp on the outside and slightly soft on the inside. Next time we'll try the pork or chicken bahn mi instead. And the chicken on the side was great. Soft and flavorful. Definitely a spot to check out if you're craving Viet and just want a quick bite that is sure to satisfy. We will be back!

Park head in and do not park in the employee parking lot or else a ticket can cost you $75! Pho is one of my favorite food so I have pretty high standards, but low expectations for this place. Upon walking in, I was surprised to walk into an empty restaurant and the waiter greeted us and informed us that we could sit anywhere. I saw there were proper sauces (hoisin and Sriracha) on the table as well as stainless steel chopsticks and soup spoons! The waiter asked us our preference for water and handed us the menus. The menu is pretty condense with no drinks like Thai Iced Tea or anything. My friend and I shared an appetizer, the shrimp spring rolls. They were perfectly crispy and cooked. Wrap it with lettuce and dip into the fish sauce - it was perfection! I ordered a Normal Beef Pho and my friend ordered a beef banh mi. The pho comes in small, normal or x-large. My appetite is average and the normal was perfect size! The soup is well flavored and noodles perfectly textured, not too soft or hard. The meats needed a bit of work especially the meatballs. My friend enjoyed her banh mi and said it was sufficient enough to fill her up. The color of everything looked really good and I will probably try it next time! The restaurant accepts credit cards, but there is a 2.5% surcharge so cash preferred! There is also a one stall restroom, very clean and spacious. Great customers service and delicious food! Will be back another day with more friends!!

I was worried that we would lose the nice tiny local pho place when the previous business shut down…read moreand was glad to see Pho XPress take over the space! Menu is pretty identical, a choice limited selection of hot soupy pho, banh mi, and bun dishes. It is a tiny little place, though there are seats available for dine-in. I do think they're smart for offering the "American" options like burgers and tenders so that you can accommodate for people who may be picky. We got summer rolls to share, and I had a small beef pho. I love that there are smaller and bigger size options available. They don't try to razz you up with bone marrow and premium beef cut options-- a combo beef pho with meatballs, flank, and brisket meat is the standard. I do like tripe when it is available, but I understand that's not a popular choice. The soup came hot and with the proper basket of sprouts, herbs, jalapeño and limes on the side. We also got a classic prok banh mi and it came with a ton of veggies and herbs (especially cilantro, which other places are now stingy with!) I didn't get to try, but I was told it was a good sandwich. The broth could have been a touch more beefy, but it was good enough to satisfy my stomach on a very windy day. Overall, I am glad Pho Xpress is maintaining a decently-priced Vietnamese joint at a time where it's becoming difficult to find anywhere decently priced. I want to try getting take-out soon.
