    Newly Renovated Interior
    Shayna H.

Vinny's Pizzeria recently changed its name as it used to be called "That Pizza Place". Now they have a beautiful new interior but still have the same old great food including their vast plant based menu. On Long Island it's hard to find a pizza place that feels authentic with vegan options. Vinny's is just that. You don't have to compromise taste because of dietary restrictions. Also, there are so many different exciting plant based options. I've tried lots of them but my favorites are: 1. Garlic Knot Slice 2. Mac and Cheese Slice 3. Penne A la Vodka slice Those are my favorites although I can confidently say that I've never had a slice I didn't enjoy! Vinny's is the place to be!

This spot has a large variety of vegan options. Lots of slices, 3 types of calzones, garlic knots, and vegan desserts. We've had this place on multiple occasions and it never disappoints. Their stuffed vegan cheese crust is to die for.

They finally reopened! Now under the name Vinny's Pizzeria and Ristorante. Same owners as before, they closed for about 6 months to renovate their location and revamp/update their menu. Same flavors but slightly different menu options. Still have plant based and regular options. Additional charge if you pay with credit card and the menu lists the difference between cash and card prices for each item. They still have indoor and outdoor eating areas. Went around 730 pm, on a Friday. There was one customer ahead of us, and after they were done ordering, a call came in for an order, which took about 5 minutes to complete before we were acknowledged. Vinny's mom was manning the register and phone, she is such a gem and sweet woman. Only plant based pizza left was plain and Margherita, but she went and spoke with the staff and secured Mac and cheese and white slices for us! We also got garlic knots, regular jack daniels slices and 10 piece order of cauliflower wings, mild. All together came to just under $44. Vinny's mom shared they did the renovations all on their own and proudly showed off their work. Definitely a great small business to support. They got busy but all customers were patient and understanding about waiting to place orders. Would have liked to see more pizza options, both plant based and traditional. Flavors are still on point and will definitely be returning regularly as I did prior to their renovations. Happy to have Vinny's back in action!

Excellent vegan and non vegan pizzeria. Have had several vegan slices and they're all delicious!

    Plant-based tri colored pie

Best vegan pizza I've ever had. My non-vegan boyfriend and I get from them all the time! We LOVE the plant-based tri colored pie. But all of their pizza we've tried has been amazing. (The plant based bbq chicken one is also to die for)

Been to this place a few times, it's ok. It's exciting to have vegan options at a pizza place but the pizza is just ok not great. They're way too heavy handed with the oregano and basil in my opinion. The vegan mozzarella sticks are too gooey, not stringy like real mozzarella. The best vegan slice I've had is the upside down Italian but once again too much oregano. Service is always very friendly. Two vegan slices with pepperoni added on and vegan mozz sticks $25. There's a place a little further east down hempstead turnpike called 3 brothers which I like better. Not bad if you're in the area but there are better options out there.

I stopped in for lunch with some work friends and was thoroughly impressed by the customer service and cleanliness at first. We were welcomed by the staff upon walking in and shown the selection of slices from traditional to plant-based options. Everything was fairly priced and they served us our food at the table. Definitely recommend for those who love a good specialty slice!

Love this place! Always order, takeout , catering delivery or indoor dining. Food is delicious, I haven't come across a bad or meh dish. They have many options and variety to choose for whatever you feel like having any day. I highly recommend you give them a try.

When we walked in, it felt more like a busy pizzeria with a dining area than the trendy spot we were expecting. The place was packed, and we ended up waiting about 30 minutes for a table. Once seated, we noticed right away that the menu didn't match what we had seen online. In the videos, every pasta dish came with burrata, but here it was an extra charge. The bread bowl itself was also a $7 add-on, which pushed the $25 pasta dishes to nearly $40 each -- a price that simply doesn't make sense for what you get. Staff was friendly, but the busboys seemed completely untrained, and service overall was slow. We did receive our minestrone soup quickly, but it was just okay. The soup's kidney beans and chickpeas were noticeably undercooked. When the pasta arrived, the disappointment continued. The burrata, which we paid extra for, was cold and hard rather than creamy. Even the waitress seemed surprised when we pointed it out. We also noticed that the regular pasta dishes (served in normal bowls) were much larger portions than the bread-bowl pastas -- despite the bread bowls costing more. At the end of the meal, the reality became clear: the bread-bowl trend is more gimmick than substance. With two pasta dishes and one soup totaling around $100, the value just isn't there. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. Don't be fooled by what you see on social media -- the experience simply doesn't live up to the hype.

Great place to eat out or for a quick specialty slice…read more My go to for a slice with anything on it

First and foremost I've been reading the reviews and what is so consistent are the complaints about…read morethe portions and prices which is what I'm going to address exactly. First of all, I come in with a clipp coupon which is an incredible thing I highly suggest for everybody to look into the deals are incredible and the whole idea is to bring in brand-new customers which is what I was, this was my first time there a couple of weeks ago. I was really excited to try out this place, but yes, as many of the reviews say it's just a Pizzeria with some tables thrown inside. So it's not a fine dining restaurant by any chance but boy I can tell you from looking at the size of the menu and the outrageous prices you would have thought it was a five star restaurant!!! Seriously, many of the appetisers are in the $30 range, which is ridiculous- So when I walked in to pay the server who I assume is a waitress, maybe more, was named Maria and I see that she's been mentioned many times in the reviews so she's probably a regular there--- she seemed visibly disappointed and annoyed when I told her I have a clipp Certificate, to let people know who are not familiar. It's extremely similar to Groupon but much much better and much cheaper -- again the idea is to bring a new people although you can use it every time you go there which I have been told by people in the advertising business that the business owners actually hate this sort of thing because they actually lose money they're just taking a chance on bringing a new customers and introducing them to the business which could be beneficial in a long run So that was a turn off. Then I was told that I most likely wouldn't be able to use it because it's for Dine in only , however the one good thing is that somebody who apparently was the owner came over and told her basically to knock it off and stop worrying about that stuff and he said not a problem this time so I can say he was extremely nice and pleasant to speak with And that was nice of him to do that for me that one time if I do go back there at least I know moving forward that it's for dine in only and not takeaway- But the primary complaint here is I couldn't believe that my Dish was $37 and I was excited to try it out only to open it and find SEVEN Shrimp !!!! I mean they gotta be kidding me!! this dish is the shrimp or Renata of course you can see the thing that cost nothing which is pasta was packed to the brim.... Extremely disappointing, I was also purveying the pizzas and asking the prices and the prices were also a little bit ridiculous for a slice ... stuff look pretty good and the food tasted good but you gotta be kidding me for almost $40. I only got seven shrimp????? This is just another one of those restaurants that get over on the people... sad .

Obviously, the price is a bit higher off the app, but I was very satisfied with the taste and quantity of the bar pies and wings. To start, the clam pie had good chunks of clam. The garlic and bacon was of abundance and the flavor was pretty spot on. I would have liked a little more parsley just to off set the richness. The hot honey and Hawaiian pie was beautifully done, with a crispy under carriage and cheese that melted from edge to edge. It may because it's delivery, but I could have used slightly more sauce, which is on the sweeter side (just as I prefer). I had the wings tossed in Riko's sauce, which didn't have a description on the app. It's nice and tangy with a touch of sweetness and smoke - it went really nice with the meatiness of the charred wings. All in all, I would certainly order from them again and perhaps make the drive to try it all fresh. So yum!
