Stopped at post 270 to celebrate a birthday. It was quiet for a friday night with alot of its patrons coming in around 8/9. Post 270 is an upscale carribbean fusion resturant in westbury, centrally located with great decor and spacing. The servers were friendly and professional. We ordered apps..the lobster tostones was a treat, the shrimp fritters full of flavor and the oysters perfection. However, our mains were lacking. The oxtail lomein while delicious needed some additional veggies to balance the richness, the creole fried rice stated djorn djorn black rice but was more like a Asian fried rice than haitian and my biggest complaint was the brazino that was served. The menu stated whole fish but I recieved a thin filet and a plate full of vegetables. The waitress did ask the chef before my order was placed about the fish because I asked about the pairings that the menu stated but the sides were different that nite. The lack of communication between the kitchen n staff was a turn off for me. Especially when your mind is set on your meal. I spoke with the manger and she was very accomodating..apologized and remedied the situation. I would love to go back for a date or girls night and give it another try. I can tell it is a resturant that is still making tweaks in its buissness

Post 270 is exactly the upscale Caribbean fusion spot Westbury needed. Bold flavors. Stylish vibes. A true standout. This was my second visit, and it did not disappoint. I returned on a Saturday to soak in the lively DJ vibes while enjoying great food. The energy in the room was infectious. Fun. Upscale. Perfect for a night out. I originally wanted to try the jerk lamb chops this time, but they were sold out so I guess that's my sign to come back again. Instead, I happily ordered the oxtail empanadas for the second time. And honestly, it was a delicious decision. These empanadas are packed with rich, savory flavor and never miss. For my entrée, I chose the crispy Cornish hen with truffle mac & cheese. The mac & cheese was incredibly cheesy and comforting though I would have loved just a touch more truffle flavor. The Cornish hen, however, stole the show. Crispy on the outside. Moist and tender on the inside. Absolutely delicious. We ended the evening with the bread pudding, topped with caramel rum sauce, white chocolate, and mixed berries. Sweet. Warm ( just wish it was a little more moist). And let me not forget my favorite drink the French 270. Sparkly. Pretty. So yummy. The perfect signature cocktail to sip while enjoying the music and atmosphere. Overall, Post 270 delivered another memorable night filled with good food, great vibes, and flavors that keep you coming back for more. I'm already looking forward to my next visit especially to finally try those jerk lamb chops.

The Good: food was excellent. We had the oxtail empanadas, shrimp fritters, lobster pasta (slightly salty), fried Cornish hen. Loved everything. Marissa was a wonderful waitress, The music in the restaurant was great and they also had a dj as the evening went on. The bad: it took over 45 mins for our entrees to come out. We also noticed the manager only checked on certain tables, I guess we didn't meet his criteria seeing that he passed us multiple times.

I quickly wanted to write this review while the experience was fresh in my mind. Nice restaurant with parking in the back which is a plus in my opinion especially in these neck of the woods. Everything about this restaurant was a win. We were celebrating my sisters birthday and not one complaint regarding the apps or main entrees. We had the oxtail empanada, shrimp fritters, lobster tostonas and Mac and Cheese. For our entrees I got the skirt Steak with black rice and spinach, my sister got the short rib, another got the lamb and another got the pasta, not one complaint on the house. Can't wait to visit their place again.

We were a large group (15 people) and they handled us very well. Not only was the service prompt, it was professional and friendly. The space is also quite sexy and moody- nice vibe. Drinks: I had a French 270 that was pretty - pink with the gold flecks but was light on alcohol content. Food: shrimp fitters were so fishy tasting Creole fried rice is touted as a djon djon black rice but was light on the color AND the flavor of djon djon. Tasted like the Asian fried rice you're used to. We were so excited for the oxtail empanadas but they lacked flavor- light on seasoning with a lingering after bite yet the pastry was soft & flaky. I will say the jerk lamb chops while light on the jerk were decent. The branzino was so incredibly bland despite the capers, I was surprised. I squeezed the lemon from my water on it but it truly lacked flavor. Disappointed. The Crispy Cornish Hen had potential but was surprisingly dry. The bread pudding was also dry and tasted like buttered toast. Very little custard and could not taste cinnamon or nutmeg. With consistent flavors this could be a great restaurant.

Beginning to end, my experience was grand. Made a resy for the wrong day. I know, I know. Total brain fart. I got there and the hostess was able to fit me in anyway and I cancelled my resy for the next day. The dining room decor looks good, but still can go up to hit that posh level. Bar area looks great and they have wireless phone chargers. Service was impeccable, the young man was official and on his job. Drinks were flavorfully "weak", and priced high. At $20 a pop, I need some "pop". The food? Hear me out. The food was flavorful and good. Every item I ordered tasted so good and was well prepared. The one thing I desired was a scoop of vanilla ice cream with my bread pudding. Solid restaurant.

Came out to try this place for a ladies night. The ladies had oxtail empanada and were pleased (I'm not a fan of oxtail so I cannot report). We also shared truffle mac n cheese which was 10/10. The whole chicken was good, I wanted a bit more flavor but it was tasty. It helped me reach my protein goals of the day and it was paired with potato and asparagus. Classic combination. Not salty and cooked all the way. From what I gathered from the ladies the steak and scallop meals were flavorful. For drinks we had wine, a pear martini and tequila seltzer. All good no complaints. FYI-This place is pricey and gratuity was included for our party of 3. A special shout out to Our server Felipe who was absolutely amazing. He was attentive, had great knowledge of the menu and offered great detail so we were not caught off guard by anything. He informed us of a brunch we can look forward to in the next few months. I would come back and check out the brunch for sure.

Wow. Since I first saw thing place being built a year or two ago, I've been excited for a new place on Post Ave. they did not disappoint. Our waitress Nyah was a sweetheart and so helpful! One of my girl friends has a gluten allergy. Nyah made sure to speak with the chef and confirm available options (since it's not listed on the menu). My friend ordered the Brick Chicken and the chef was kind enough to make a sauce that wasn't roux based. My skirt steak with the chimichurri sauce was so savory that I ate the whole thing, which I never do. The lights were low and the interior is gorgeous! It's the perfect date night or girl's night spot! We'll definitely be back.

Absolutely underrated. Went on New Years Eve last minute. We booked within 2 hours of our reservation. I didn't know what to expect since it was such a last minute reservation. We were so impressed. We were seated right away it was pretty empty (surprisingly) but they were closing early for their New Year's Eve event. We started with the jerk lamb and it was absolutely delicious! Jerk flavor was on point. For entrees, the oxtail lo mein was delicious but I was really looking forward to that oxtail flavor and that was missing a little although the meat was tender and the flavor from the lo mein was fresh and authentic. The star of the entrees was the langosta a la mar. The flavor was just so tasty. When we got the food we thought the servings were a bit small but by the end we were absolutely satisfied. The absolute star of the show was the bread pudding! It was so good. We were still talking about the bread pudding after we got home. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful. Lighting was dark and moody perfect for a date night or dinner with friends. Would definitely recommend and go again.

We had dinner reservations for a party of 5 on a Saturday evening. The food was delicious & so were our drinks. The ambience is a total vibe; our only complaint was where they sat Us but, other than that it's a cute spot.

The service was attentive and pleasant. The ambiance was pleasant. The lobster tostones were good, FYI very saucy. The fuego dulce drink was great. The truffle max was good. They gave a complimentary glass of bubbly and a cheese puff as a starter complimentary. We were informed there was a 90 min table limit although there were plenty of tables available.

    Oxtail Empanadas

I had a wonderful experience here. Andre at the bar was extremely attentive and kind. The restaurant itself is a very elevated atmosphere. The music and decor are very attractive. I had the oxtail empanadas and they exceeded my expectations. The oxtail was well seasoned and the crust was buttery and flaky. Looking forward to coming back.

A really intimate place, with probably like 15 tables max inside, and a little bar that can sit also about the same amount of people, but still looks new and fresh, and also be on the lookout because when you're driving the place sneaks up on you. The friendliest service, Lauren who seated us and served us was truly genuine, and I told her I really appreciate that as most restaurants don't have that sense of personal customer service, actually noticeable and appreciated. The food was also really good, the dip was flavorful, could be a little warmer but still very good, the chips were next level, and this was a huge hit. The calamari was lightly breaded, and also I do appreciate the two sauces to choose from when dipping, either Kung Pao or Marinara. I got the Pastrami Rub Tuna over Scallion Mash, and when I first looked at it I thought the fish piece was a bit small, but after eating it, it was the perfect size, and the mash was delicious, and the Wasabi Sauce to dip the fish really made the dish Pop. Drinks were okay, started with a kick and boozy but finished a bit watery for my first one, the second one I had with Mescal was a 10/10 though. This place needs attention, and the fact that it is still pretty low key and food influencers haven't descended to blow up it's spot is awesome.

The restaurant, Gatsby's Landing, draws its name from the romantic nostalgia of The Great Gatsby. Situated near the Long Island Sound and Roslyn Pond, the setting offered a beautiful waterfront ambiance. My wife opted for the Baby Roasted Beets Salad, Salmon, and Crème Brûlée, while I chose the Lobster Bisque, Squid Ink Tonnarelli, and Tiramisu. The menu highlights their commitment to fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients - a promise they certainly delivered on. The dishes were both delicious and generously portioned. It was clear the kitchen doesn't skimp on quality; for instance, the lobster bisque was loaded with tender lobster meat, the squid ink tonnarelli featured an abundance of blue crab, and the salmon was a substantial, thick-cut fillet. The chef clearly possesses a mastery of technique, knowing exactly how to pair garnishes and balance flavors in perfect harmony. Furthermore, the waitstaff was both diligent and courteous. We can see why this establishment is so popular--the combination of exceptional cuisine, attentive service, and the serene lake views is hard to beat. However, there is one area for improvement: the restaurant should consider replacing their current chipped plates with larger, more elegant dinnerware. High-quality presentation would better reflect the dignity and caliber of the food they serve.

This place is beautiful and perfect for pretty much any occasion. The first time I brought my sister here for her bday dinner and every dish was absolutely outstanding. The service although it was busy Friday night was also excellent. Our drinks? The smokin gun and spicy margarita were perhaps some of the best drinks we've had in a long time. The minute we left we decided we had to come back again for some drinks and apps. Fast forward to a Thursday night we saw they had a late night happy hour so we decided to give it a try! This is where it all went downhill and I debated on writing this review because I honesty believe in giving businesses sort of a pass for a rough day or just because and you never know know what someone is going through but I was clearly so bothered that I am still thinking about it and I feel like it's only right that the owner should know. We arrived for the late night happy hour and 4 seats happen to be available at the end of the bar. The female bartender proceeded to place menus right in front of us without saying a word. I smiled, kinda hinting hello and when I tell you I just got a blank stare, at first I was confused but again (it's late, it's thursday, people have struggles, be compassionate and move on) Fast forward we order some food, she places mats and utensil in front of us and again nothing, not a word. It was also as if she was annoyed at us for being there. At one point I was speaking Spanish with one of my girlfriends and I noticed she finally looked at us and smiled. I'm unsure what that was about but I was happy to see her smile for once. Finally I noticed a couple came in and went straight to the bartender and right away I noticed her tone and demeanor changed, she was much happier to see them. So I guess she had a decent day after all. The couple and the bartender kinda pointed towards us as if we had taken their seats. This is all happening right in front of my eyes. Now listen, I'm an expert on picking up cues and noticing things around me. It's pretty much what I do for a living. The couple then sat against the wall behind and we could just feel that we just weren't wanted there that night. The vibe and energy felt really off and when I tell you this was perhaps one of the worse customer services experiences I've ever had in this type of establishment, I am not lying. It felt very dismissive and unwelcoming without even saying anything. I'm really disappointed because Ive been bragging to all my friends about this place and really looked forward to the same experience I had previously but this wasn't the case. I'm not sure of if I will be back, but I do hope the managers and owners here give their staff better training on how to treat customers. A simple hello, a smile, and being kind goes a long way not only in the business word but in life.
