Such a cute place - the decor really takes you back in time - from the furnishings to the glassware - I did have trouble finding the door, luckily a passerby was able to assist. When I walked in my eyes couldn't focus on just 1 thing, everything is beautiful. Once seated the host (Erin) did an amazing job of explaining the menu items both drinks & food. She suggested cocktails and they did not disappoint - can't wait to come back

Had a nice time at Artemis. The vibe, staff, and food were great. I loved my drink; I forgot the name, but it was something "bloom." I had to get two, it was so good! There's couches to sit in and a bar as well. I would suggest making reservations before you go. I would tell you the location but it's a secret! Enjoy!

This is a tough review to write. Why? Because I don't want to give away the secret of this absolutely fantastic speakeasy! Artemis is for real an amazing place from start to finish with extreme focus and attention to detail in everything they do. My wife and I learned this back in early July around her birthday. For starters, Artemis holds true to wanting to create a real Speakeasy experience to the point where if there wasn't a person standing outside to check off your reservation, you might not actually find it! Once you do enter, you haven't really...well, not until you follow some instructions to get into the speakeasy. If that's cryptic, good! Go see for yourself! When you do step into the main bar area, it does feel like you're taken back to a different place and time. The aesthetics are incredible with the vibe never feeling pretentious but rather classically warm, in a secretive speakeasy sort of way. Once seated, my wife and I were treated with some impeccable service from our waiter as well as a few other staff members. Making you feel welcome is definitely in the DNA of this place and that showed all the way to the end (more on that in a sec). First, we ordered up a couple of delicious drinks from Artemis's menu. I had the South Bay Sazerac which was perfectly mixed as it tasted flavorfully strong but with no alcohol bite. My wife got the Pychee which had a nice sweet zing and came with a couple of candies to top it off. You expect a Speakeasy to know how to mix a drink and that was definitely the case here. But what was great about Artemis was that it didn't stop at the drinks. Though not a place for a true dinner, Artemis has a nice selection of varying bites to eat which we decided to sample. Keeping things light at what was a slightly later hour we chose to have the popcorn and the olive salad. They sound simple (and they were), but both hit the spot, especially the variety of olives (and feta/cucumber) thrown into it. Top this off with a complimentary brownie/ice cream (which was warm and delicious) for my wife's birthday and you really get those feels from start to finish. Overall, I'd gladly return to Artemis over and over again. Now that I can locate where the space is and I understand its entry process, I know that this won't take away from the fun way of getting in because once you time travel back to this interior, you'll be in a world of fine drinks, great bites, and service that works hard and wants you to understand what this place is all about. Sorry if I gave away too much, but it needed to happen. Now go see for yourself...if you can find it.

This hidden gem is a must-visit. While it may be challenging to find, the effort is worth it. The drinks are exceptional, and the bartenders are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The cozy ambiance makes it the perfect place to unwind and relax.

I absolutely love this place, it's one of my favorites and always my go-to recommendation for friends. The staff is friendly, everything runs smoothly, and the drinks are amazing definitely worth the price. Shoutout to Charlie for being such an incredible bartender!

Great speakeasy with light bites in the beautifully redone Ronkonkoma train station area. The new Station Yards has lots of cool options, and a parking garage that is free for up to three hours to make a visit easy. In true speakeasy fashion, Artemis has minimal signage and is off the beaten path. Half the fun is finding it and getting in, so I won't spoil that for you. If you get spun around, theirs security easy to find who can help direct you. Once you get in, theirs decor is gorgeous and chic - comfy leather seats, fancy ceiling and walls. It's dimly lit, so you may need your cell phone flashlight to read the menu. The staff and GM are amazing, made our visit (with members) such a delight. Food options are great, with more coming! Highly recommend.

Dope spot, something different to station yards that stands alone. Refreshing spot in a sea of redundant chains. Cool vibe, expensive drinks, slow burn.

A speakesy so close to me... I might have to become a member. This place is so classy! I fell in love the moment I stepped in. Great service and thoroughly crafted cocktails. I need to go back asap.

If you're looking for a spot that feels like a secret, but deserves to be shouted from the rooftops, Artemis Speakeasy is it. Tucked away in Ronkonkoma, this place is all about moody vibes, great music, and even better cocktails. Let's talk about the Old Fashioned--hands down one of the best I've had on Long Island. Perfectly balanced, smoky, and subtly sweet with that signature citrus twist. You can tell they don't cut corners here--everything from the hand-cut ice cube to the bourbon selection screams craftsmanship. The ambiance is dark, sultry, and sophisticated. It gives off true speakeasy energy with plush seating, dim lighting, and a playlist that sets the tone without overpowering conversation. It's the kind of place where you come for one drink and end up staying for hours. If you're into expertly made cocktails and a space that feels both upscale and lowkey, Artemis is a must. Bonus points for the bartenders--they know their stuff and make you feel like a regular even if it's your first time. Will definitely be back. And yes, I'm ordering the Old Fashioned again.

I wanted to LOVE this place. Such a cool vibe; cozy, cool, and a perfect date spot. We came as a group of 4 and were sat on time. Here's where things got a little sour. We needed a few minutes to look over the menu - we didn't need 30 minutes though! But ok, the place was busy. Unfortunately, the same thing happened when we were ready for drink #2 - so after spending an hour and a half here and one drink in - our reservation was already coming to an end. Unfortunately - the bad outweighed the good on this one. I hope they can improve the service - this place has so much potential because the drinks were great!

Yeah, finally someone with a vision and creativity! Beautiful place great cocktails! Honestly desert isn't something to sleep on. Everything was was really good. Awesome atmosphere to just chill and have conversation.

The bartenders were fast and efficient for a wedding of about 100 guests, which was a huge plus. I did hear from a few guests that some drinks weren't immediately available because they needed time to chill -- totally understandable given the timing and setup. One of the highlights was how they worked within my budget while still delivering great customer service with both food and drinks. I also want to shout out an employee who kept mopping the floor throughout the event due to a leaking AC -- that extra effort didn't go unnoticed and was greatly appreciated. That said, there were a few areas that fell short. For a wedding, timing is crucial, and unfortunately, not all tasks listed in the contract were completed -- including timely arrival, full decoration setup, and breaking down all tables and chairs afterward. These small gaps made things a bit stressful during an already time-sensitive event. My family decorated all tables themselves which caused them to be so stressed out instead of enjoying the whole wedding. I believe with more experience handling weddings specifically, the team will be able to execute more smoothly in the future. There's definitely potential here, and I hope this feedback helps them grow and improve!

I would have given 1 star, if the staff, when present, wasn't so nice. Here was our experience: 6 PM Christmas Eve Reservation for 7 people. Showed up on time. No Hostess greeting. It took several minutes by the worker, sitting at a table directly in front of us, to realize that we should be greeted/seated. The restaurant was far from packed. There were many empty tables, and maybe 3 groups between 10 and 20 people. Menu looked decent. Ordered beverages. It took a quite a while for waiter (very nice/friendly) to take food order and a while to be served appetizers/salad. Baked clams were good. The spinach salad was slightly wilted from sitting in the kitchen heat, the onions were clearly not sliced by a chef (big inedible chunks), goat cheese was scarce, and salad barely dressed. It was 7:30 PM (1.5 hours post arrival) when the main course was served. We were starving! My father's chicken Francaise was cold and lacked sauce, but didn't want to complain. So my brother got warm sauce for him. The rest of us didn't know at this time that all meals were sub-par, luke-warm or almost cold. All of the food appeared to be sitting a while, except for the stuffed fish dish. All meals, except for the stuffed rigatoni Bolognese came with broccoli (no other choice available). The broccoli was too cold for the frozen butter to melt on it. The rigatoni was topped off with a marinara sauce that took away from the Bolognese, and was clearly sitting for some time. My nephew had to use the Francaise sauce on his beef to try to warm it, as the wait staff (very few of them) disappeared. Refill requests for beverages were not served. Empty water glasses sat for at least 1/2 hour and never was refilled. No one checked to see how our dinner was while we were eating...they knew the response they would get. We would have walked out, but it was Christmas Eve and we wouldn't get in anywhere else. It was either eat what we got, or starve. When the waiter (possibly one of the owners) finally appeared, He was clearly exhausted from running around. We wanted to be kind, as he was informed the food could have been good if it was served warm. The excuse we got was that a cook cut his hand badly and had to leave, and they were short on wait staff, as many didn't show up. He was cooking and waiting tables. This was not our problem. We tried to be sympathetic. The waiter disappeared again. When I found him was going to give us a $50 gift card to come back again. This really was not an option because my parents are elderly, I was in town from the West Coast, just for the holiday, and the rest of my family works shift work. It was an act of God that all of us could have dinner together this night. He took $50 off the bill. It should have been more. But, it was a holiday and we felt bad for him.

Seeing they had a Wednesday special, I decided to put off my adventure from Roslyn to Ronkonkoma from Monday to Wednesday. I also found a bunch of things I was interested in to pad my experience and make the drive worth it. The waitress came quickly, got our drink orders, took a few minutes, and we started our order. I started off by getting the Fire Island Fries, the Flanagan's Nachos minus Jalapenos and Chipotle Ranch, sub the chicken in, the Fish and Chips special with additional pay for French Onion Soup and Curry sauce, and my friend got the Penne Alla Vodka add chicken. I asked how the Mozzarella sticks were and she said they were very popular so I got those as well. We'll start with my addition. The mozzarella sticks are good. Fried properly, not raw, not burnt, you get I believe 9 in an order. I greatly enjoyed them, however I would never pay more than a buck for a small brick of cheese. They were great, but not that great. The nachos were very barebones, something getting them at full capacity wouldn't have done much for. The queso is gross, and put me off from eating too much. The avocado was a single, sliced avocado which is fine, but pretty hard to eat with chips. The chicken was a bit of an issue, not tasting great. The fire island fries were good, I enjoyed the flavor change, but I feel like some cheddar would have made them from "good" to "amazing". Adding cheddar to my leftovers later confirmed that. The french onion soup was the shiniest turd I've had the experience of eating. It is the best of the worst, in every way. The cheese tastes a bit off, the broth did't have much flavor or salt, the onions were sour, and overall it looks tremendous, proper quality, but tasted like I was eating expired progresso with some sour cheese melted over it. I love proper French Onion soup, but this was very difficult to force myself to eat. The penne alla vodka was fine, but they could have added more salt, it just felt a little bland. The chicken was hard and dry. It didn't work with the dish itself, it felt like eating two different things at once, neither of them tasting as good as they should. The fish and chips were the real star. The fish was as crunchy as you expect, the chips were proper chips. The curry was hot but delicious, everything was absolutely fantastic. If I was reviewing on the fish and chips alone, this place would absolutely get five dtars. But they need to work on the other areas of their menu, they're heavily dragging this place down. I also got the donut with ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce. A donut from dunkin would have been better in my opinion, and you would save $10 assembling everything yourself. Finally, the service. It was very here and there. At first, we were getting checked up on often, but at the end, there was a good 20 minute stint where they wouldn't show up at our table and we had to flag them over to get our check. I'm not rating this against them, but I would have liked a little more observation. It was a one and done place, with excellent fish and chips this side of the pond. If I was closer, this would be a Wednesday night thing, but I'm too far to justify that.

My wife isn't here so waffles with bacon for me! The waffle was good, typical diner food that always welcomed. Of course, like every diner they have a syrup pouches and individual pats of butter. Then the half and half mini cups, I think we had a mountain of plastic after we finished our meal. The diner, it's a very large space. They also have counter service if you are dining solo. Guys catching up, do you want to know what we talk about? Current aches and pains but more importantly, the fun we had in this neighborhood. The amount of breweries in Holbrook is crazy. The interior was a typical diner atmosphere along with a Christmas Tree and a few holiday decorations. I was seated timely in a booth and my server appeared promptly and took my drink order. She was very pleasant. There were so many dinner choices on the menu and all the typical diner breakfast and lunch options as well. Being from NY originally, I was craving a hard roll and what better to have on it but rare roast beef with lettuce and mayo. I was in luck! I ordered and it was delivered as I expected along with complimentary pickle and cole slaw. It was an extremely cold day so hot tea was the beverage of choice. After dinner I perused the dessert case however nothing stood out so I passed. I have had many diner desserts in other places. These appeared to me as less than average. All in all the experience was average. I would have rated higher if the desserts looked appealing. My server was helpful and my sandwhich was great. I took half back to the hotel and had it for breakfast the next morning!
