Mama Rosa offers a fun and relaxed vibe. Full bar with seating available on one side and they separate that space from the main dining room. This way you can enjoy your experience the way you want. The dining room is well lit and it's an open space. Great for groups and date nights. There's definitely a nice distance between tables to give you a more private dining experience. The staff here are all smiles when they come by to greet you, check in and take your food/drink order. Everyone was nice and each person offered great suggestions when I inquired about specific items. It was helpful as that made my decision making easier. Onto the food: we were a group of four so plenty of stuff ordered. For starters: guacamole of course and it's prepared table side. It was a full on cart service display with all of the ingredients in compartments. Spice level customized to your taste and the fresh lime gave us extra acidity and flavor. It was a fun presentation. We also ordered the fundido. That was the favorite at the table. For entrees: cheese quesadilla (super plain as requested, I got a picky eater here), the steak with chimichurri, seafood paella, rice and beans and a mixed plate of steak and pork variety. My family and I enjoyed everything and had a relaxed time just enjoying ourselves. My margarita was really good with the black pepper rim. And tres leches dessert for the win!

Service was slow but other than that, food was really tasty. Took forever to get cocktails. Presentation of the food was cute but should think about the size of the table. Totally forgot to use coupon which we mentioned to the restaurant at beginning.

Came here to an empty restaurant on a January weekday evening. We had groupons but was given problems redeeming since we had no reservations, despite having confirmation from the Mgr early on. It was finally resolved but after some commotion but was embarrassing and unprofessional and needless esp since the entire restaurant was empty. Then they limited the salsa even tho several of us had separate groupons for our separate meals. Anyway, very unwise and terrible customer service. The whole pt of groupons is to try to entice new customers. It was really bad form. Edp since one ofbus is a frequent diner here and recommended this place. Additionally. There were separate menus for single people vs couples. WTH???? Re the apps, The Empanadas tasted prefrozen and tasteless. However the ceviche was nicely presented and delicious altho it had canned shrimp So finally, despite the initial snafu and so so apps, and wierd descrimination against single diners, the entrees were pretty good 3-4 rating. The fajitas were tender and delish. The desserts were really good esp the strawberry icecream. So, subce the food was really good, Id entertain another visit. Hopefully w/o issues groupons or not.

This place looks like it can be a fun hopping place on the weekend. We came in on a Thursday evening and the place was empty. We expected it to be full at 7-9pm. Hopefully the snow drove people away not something else. The place was decorated with colorful doilies across the ceiling. . They had native costumes hanging off one wall. The bar was off to one side. We came in with a coupon so our food selection was limited to the prefixed menu but we enjoyed what was on it. The ceviche was delicious. The empanadas were not as expected. (Greasy and small.) The steak fajita was tasty. Liked the fixings. The carnitas de puerco was tender but the flavor did not wow me. Sadly they did not serve the entrees with the rice and beans or salad. Missing one of the sauces too. Pay attention that all the items of your entrees are there. For dessert we had the flan and tres leche with coffee. It was a big hit. Topped the meal off and we left happy!!! Definitely worth another visit!

Marco Polo Restaurant is located just beyond the lobby and bar of the Great Neck Inn hotel. Newly added, a sushi bar with Chef Benny at the helm. Yelper Mike S. and I ordered from both menus. We started with the sesame tuna tataki which was a nice full salad paired with sesame seared tuna, avocado, mandarins and crispy noodles. A sweet dressing provided on the side. It was a very full salad and quite refreshing. This was on the MP menu. And we also had the garlic edamame to start, which looked to be tossed in some chili oil and stir fried garlic which was from the Benny's Sushi menu. For our dinner, we shared the sashimi entree which came with 15 pieces of sashimi. Then we selected some choice pieces: uni, unagi, scallop sashimi and a classic yellowtail roll. Everything was fresh and enjoyable. Chef Benny cut and plated our order, very presentable. Sadly no sake on the menu so a draft beer and some Blue Moon was our drink choice. There's a wine list, lots of cocktails and a full dinner menu for the Marco Polo Restaurant which offers "East meets West" style fare. Think steak, ramen, salads and pasta choices. Service was good and our waiter was super friendly. He answered questions and offered suggestions on drinks I inquired about. When prompted for a plate change, he did it without hesitation and swapped them out real quick. He checked in on us a few times during our meal and was sure to pace the plates that came out so we were able to enjoy each portion of the dinner. Dessert options were interesting, think s'mores egg rolls, fresh fruit, cheesecake, and cinnamon buns. Cheesecake was plated simply with a drizzle of strawberry syrup and topped with a cherry.

The one hostess (young college age white male) is so very obviously discriminatory and a racist. He completely ignored us standing at reception, but immediately greeted the next customer coming in behind us. When we let him know we were not being helped (after he took care of the people behind us) he then told us "sorry we don't honor any open table reservations" and then turned his back to us. We stood there incredulous for a bit - thinking are they basically telling us we aren't welcomed? Thankfully we decided to ask the older gentleman who was also hosting. He immediately was confused and took us to our reserved table. Later, as we were leaving and waiting in the vestibule - I watched him again repeatedly ignore any guests entering who was not white. Thankfully, he had 1-2 other hostess also working and they would eventually get to the ignored guests. I wish I recorded as it was SO blatantly obvious but my kids told me to not be a Karen. So I didn't. Anyway, it was a shame and put such a sour experience on our night. Otherwise, I found the staff and waitress absolutely great, drinks were lovely, appetizers and entrees delicious, and the view amazing.

This feels more like a 4 1/2-star experience…read more We had a lovely dinner at Kissaki this evening. We started with an espresso martini, which was excellent--smooth, well-balanced, and a great way to kick off the meal. My husband and I each took a few sips before I remembered to snap a photo--always a good sign. For appetizers, the wasabi rock shrimp and spicy tuna crispy rice were both standouts--fresh, flavorful, and nicely executed with great texture. We also ordered the 10 piece nigiri flight, which was consistently impressive. The fish tasted fresh across the board, with the uni being a highlight--rich, creamy, and exceptionally fresh. The shrimp tempura roll was delicious--crispy and well-balanced. The only dish that didn't quite land for us was the ebi hamachi futomaki. It wasn't bad, just not a favorite for my husband--I only remembered to take a photo when we were nearly finished. From the kitchen, we shared the black cod and sea bass--both outstanding. Tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked--definite highlights of the meal. For dessert, we shared the peach cobbler, which was a great finish. Warm peaches with hints of bourbon and cinnamon, paired with Japanese vanilla ice cream--comforting and well-balanced. Service was warm throughout, and the quality of the food was evident in nearly every dish. While it leans toward the higher end in price, the overall experience fell just shy of a full five stars--but was nevertheless very enjoyable.
