The prix fixe menu gave us so much food. Every course came out beautifully presented, full of flavor, and honestly more than enough to leave us satisfied (and then some). From the starters to the entrées and dessert, everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully prepared. The vibe is perfect for a night out -- stylish, relaxed, and great for conversation. This was a girls' night, but I already know I'll be back for a date night with my husband. It's that kind of place. The only good thing about this place is the fish pond in the restaurant when you walk in but that's about it. The food is probably one of the worst Asian fusion places I've had and I honestly feel like all of the money goes into presentation instead of actual quality. I've been here a few times and for some reason, have been around people that ordered takeout from here a few times so I've given them a chance more times than I should have and they have never delivered. The drinks are okay, definitely another one of those "presentation heavy" style drinks for some simple cocktails but I wont fault them for that. The real problem here is the food. I've ordered a few of their noodle dishes and it's honestly impressive how they manage to avoid having any flavor in their dishes. Like, I dont even know how you can get shrimp to taste like nothing but they've definitely done it here! The chicken I've had in their dishes is without a doubt frozen and if its not flavorless, its definitely rubbery and about as appetizing as eating a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Aside from the fact that their portion sizes are way too small for the prices they are charging. If you want Indian food, there are plenty of better options on the same street and same thing if you want Asian food. If you want to impress someone for about 5 minutes, take them to the actual restaurant, stare at some fish, get 1 drink and then high tail it out of there cause even the fish deserve better food than what they serve here. read more

The food we ordered was good, and i recommend trying the cocktails If you can, I'd suggest not being seated near the kitchen door. In a small unassuming strip mall in Hicksville lies Jade. Plain on the outside, but when you walk in you immediately feel like you're stepping inside a trendy lounge, with a huge Buddha statue & a koi pond running through the middle of the restaurant. The lights are low, which makes the large space seem more inviting. The menus are tablets, which organized categories making it easy to navigate. We went on Wednesday, when they have a $5 wine special which was nice. The coconut shrimp is crispy and really delicious, not greasy at all. My husband enjoyed his samosas. The crispy tofu comes very crispy with your choice of sauce on the side. The Calcutta chicken was different, I was told it was spicy but I didn't find it to be, it was tasty but I didn't realize it was fried chicken pieces, I would've preferred sautéed. We didn't have dessert, but they have some nice looking options! The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was when I asked for a bill, the server just handed me the tablet to pay, and when I paid it gave the option for tip, which I gave, but when I received a receipt it said gratuity was already included but never mentioned. This place has quickly become one of my go-to spots in Hicksville. I've been here twice already and also tried their Forest Hills location, but this one really stands out. The atmosphere is stylish, open, and beautifully put together, and having their own parking lot is a big plus. The menu is a perfect fusion of desi and Thai flavors everything I've tried so far has been spot-on. I've had the drunken noodles, spring rolls, chive pancakes, fried rice, and cauliflower Manchurian, and every dish was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the service has been consistently great. The host both times was attentive and friendly, which makes the experience worth it. Came here over the weekend to catch up with some friends. We originally had 530pm reservations but due to delays we were going to arrive by 6pm. Luckily they were able to update the reservation an hour beforehand. We arrived and were immediately seated. I don't think you need a reservation at this time, it is wasn't packed at all. We were seated and given these fancy tablets as menus. Our server was super nice the entire time but she was pretty insistent on us ordering quickly. Our food came out very quick. She continued to check up on us which was nice but then continued to walk by plenty times to see if we were wrapping up. Maybe they had a wave of reservations coming up after 8? Food was great and so was the overall look of the place. They had a pond in the middle of the restaurant with some koi fish swimming which looked pretty neat. Overall we had a good time. Drinks and food were great. We did arrive on time for the happy hour but unfortunately we could only order at the bar and remain there. I had a group of 4 and we wanted to catch up at a table. Our entrees were okay, the lamb schzurn had a chewy texture, not sure if my brother enjoyed it, it was quite different from what he's used to. My noodles (I think it was pad see ew) was a little bland and didn't have much bak choy, was a little disappointed that I was only 2 pieces. The chicken general chao was a little bland as well but cooked at least. The desserts were also okay: the chocolate lava cake wasn't really lava cake it was like microwaved chocolate cake. A spacious interior with popular music, a beautiful koi pond lined with LED lights, and a striking Buddha statue that added a touch of calm elegance to the space. However, the experience had its highs and lows. To start, my husband wasn't offered the complimentary cocktail they were promoting for Father's Day, which felt like a missed opportunity to make the moment special. For appetizers, we ordered the chicken lollipops, which were beautifully presented and rich in flavor. Unfortunately, they were slightly undercooked. I could still taste the raw batter coating, and my husband noticed it too. A few more minutes in the fryer would have made a world of difference. For our entrées, we went with the butter chicken, garlic naan, and Mughali Goat Bhuna. The butter chicken had a subtle heat, not too overpowering for adults, but a bit much for our toddlers, despite the waiter's reassurance that it would be kid-friendly. The naan was warm, soft, and delicious. The Mughali Goat Bhuna was deeply flavorful, and my husband enjoyed every bite. Personally, I prefer baby goat for its tender, sweeter profile, so the gaminess of the dish was a bit too strong for me, though I could appreciate the effort in the seasoning. We also ordered drinks. We had made a reservation through Yelp and arrived early to beat the lunch rush. Despite this, there were moments when we felt a bit forgotten. Service was polite, but not particularly attentive as I had hoped. The bathrooms are changing pad ready for caregivers traveling with toddler or baby in tow. It's also handicap accessible and they are attentive to any food allergies. The final bill came to just over $180. Was it worth it? Ehh... I've had better. It was a nice effort with some standout flavors and beautiful plating, but there were enough service and preparation hiccups that left us feeling like the experience fell short, especially for a special occasion. Even has a live coi fish pond. Host staff (a woman likely the manager or owner) was very friendly. The servers seemed more matter of fact. The food was really good. Dessert was blah. This is my second time at this Jade Eatery location and I am still a happy customer. I've only ever gone for happy hour and it's so worth it! The deals are great and the food is equally delicious. The bartenders are always nice and attentive and the drinks are perfect not too strong not too sweet. The restaurant itself is beautiful from the dice to the coi pond it's absolutely inside. This location has been on my list for a long time. I am so glad I got to visit finally! Staff was very friendly & knowledgeable of the menu to give good recommendations. We made last minute, and when I say last minute I mean same day, like 15 minutes before arrival reservations and the restaurant was very accommodating. Could have opted to walk-in but because the website states reservations are required didn't want to chance it. But I can see why. The space is limited. Anyhow, we seated immediately at a 2 seater table near the centered lit up "pond." Service was very prompt. I ordered the basil chicken which comes with white rice. Not bad. With this dish they give you more veggies than chicken and I could have used some spice. Portions here are "ok." If you are really hungry you might just want more. Tried the shishito peppers and shrimp dumplings to start. Shishito peppers were a bit under-salted. Shrimp dumplings were standard and juicy. For mains, I tried the Singaporean noodles and the Calcutta chicken which came with a side of rice. The noodles were good and standard. Well seasoned, balanced, and had enough vegetables without being overly masked with noodles only. The Calcutta chicken was very chewy and the batter didn't have a great texture. I would pass on that dish in the future. I will add a star because one of the shishito peppers was highly spicy and water was not helping. I was somewhat disappointed in the overall experience my family and I had while dining at Jade Eatery. We came into a very welcoming ambiance and were seated right away by friendly staff. For Appetizers, we decided to try out the Rock Shrimp, Manchau Soup & steam dumplings ( as any Asian fusion spot these type of dishes should be a key factor in determining if they are really good at being known for having best Asian Fusion dishes or NOT ). The rock shrimp was 5/5, soup was 3/5, and steam dumplings were 1/5. Felt like we were eating rubber with dry chicken. We also ordered various non-alcoholic drinks from Mango Mojito and Virgin Passion Berry. The Mango Mojito was watered down a lot 1/5, and Passion Berry was decent 3/5. Main Course we wanted to try out Hakkah noddles , a staple dish at any Asian Fusion restaurant, and unfortunately, here it was very disappointing 2/5. Lamb Szechwan was 4/5 and was very good. Overall, I have a disappointed experience, I feel this place definitely has a lot of improvement ahead to make sure the food being served are to the standard of the price they are asking for. We get here at our reservation time and wait 15 minutes to be seated. We should be seated at a table for 8 right, no we get seated at a table for 6 with slanted tables/uneven tables. They put a group of 6 at a table for 8. So we are cramped at this table for 6 with 8 people. They give us 4 menus and 1 small bottle of water for all of us. They continue to mess up our drink orders and take forever to come over to get our order. They don't have real blinds to block out the sun so there is this bright light facing all of the tables. Their menu is not very explanatory and it is small. I order the Hakka noodles with beef in it. The noodles them self weren't bad but one complaint was that it was slightly spice and they didn't say that. The beef was horrible, it tasted fake idk how but it did. Came here to celebrate my brother's birthday and was pleasantly surprised at our experience here. This restaurant is spacious and well decorated, love the koi pond right in the middle. The menu features a mix of Asian cuisine - everything from sushi to Thai food and even some Indian options mixed in here. Service is really my only complaint, but at the same time I think this place was still working out the kinks and figuring out how many waitresses they need to keep on at any given time. There were two servers for this entire restaurant, which would've been fine if it was slow. But eventually, this place got a dinner rush (even though it was a Monday night) and it was difficult to flag anyone down for another round of drinks. We kicked things off with crab rangoons which were fresh and crispy, plus an order of dumplings and the Aria sushi roll, which was delicious. I had the Thai chicken curry for my main, which was just the right amount of heat and sweet. I'm a sucker for gulab jamun, which they had on the dessert menu, but we watched them heat it up in a microwave on the floor of this restaurant which kind of took the magic out of it. I chose the place because at least it gives an atmosphere of elegance, class and charm. However, for a rare experience, the food in this place just lacks good quality and flavor. It would seem that the chef does not put forth excellence by any measure. We had rock shrimp to start and then sesame chicken and phad Thai for our mains. I don't consider myself to be very particular, but you don't have to be to notice dry beef and the chicken and shrimp weren't exactly succulent as well. The phad Thai glass noodles and veg were nothing to write home about as well. Sad. And the kicker, I chose a slice of cheesecake for dessert...the top part was okay (hey it's cheesecake), but the graham cracker bottom (like something from my supermarket that sat in the pantry too long) was not easy to cut through with my fork. My sister & I made reservations & we were seated after a 15 min wait on a busy Saturday evening. Loved this hidden oasis in a Hicksville strip mall. Oasis is the koi pond in the middle of the restaurant. We sat right to the pond and the koi were beautiful and would swim up to you.
