I started my party planning with a previous employee but upon getting in touch with the owner TOMMY, everything went off without a hitch!!! My host/server MICHELLE T. was truly amazing!!!!! She orchestrated my party like a pro, checked-in frequently with me, perfectly timed my chosen courses and paid careful attention to ny birthday cake and cupcakes I brought in. I loved all their party options, they truly have something for everyone. If you want afternoon, brunch or dinner times, you can literally have dozens of different selections for your entire party courses, I hope to have a future celebration here, and try even more delicious choices. Valet parking was a great plus, location is also very convenient from Queens and Suffolk counties. Our group of 7 had reservations for 7:00pm a couple of Fridays ago. When we arrived, we pulled up to the valet, handed him our keys, and walked in right on time. We were seated immediately in the room toward the back left corner where we were the only table occupying the space. In fact, as the evening progressed, no other diners/groups were seated back there, which was nice. We observed that although it was a Friday evening at prime dinner hour, the restaurant never got too full nor was the bar area buzzing. Again, it was nice that it wasn't so hectic in there, but we noted that as curious for a spot like this, on a Friday evening, and when the weather was pleasant. Starting with a high point: our server was really good. He was a very nice young man who let us know at the end of our meal that it was actually his first day on the job. While we could tell he didn't know everything about the menu - which is totally understandable given him being a new hire - he was kind, personable, and went above and beyond to provide excellent and timely service. As for the venue, it was nice although not upscale and that was just our speed for this evening. We loved having the room to sit comfortably at a setup that could comfortably seat 8. As for the food, it was decent although I wouldn't call anything I tasted fantastic. For apps, we shared 2 orders apiece of calamari, crab cakes, and lamb chops (6 apps total) with the chops being my favorite out of those. The calamari were small and didn't pack a lot of flavor but they were fried well. The marinara sauce that came with it was also fine but not remarkable. The crab cakes were a little mushy for our liking. For my entrée, I ordered the Lobster Rigatoni. There was plenty of lobster on top, the portion was more than solid, and it came out at the right temperature but the flavor again failed to really impress and was somewhere between "fine" to "good". For dessert, I ordered the chocolate lava cake, and I was truly disappointed by that. For starters, there was no gooey "lava" as the name implied, and the edges were dry and seemed overcooked. The flavor again fell a little flat and I didn't bother to finish it even though I am usually a huge fan of chocolate desserts. All in all, we had an enjoyable evening as a crew, but the food could be elevated a bit from a flavor standpoint. I would give the food a little better than a "3" but I think they have enough going for them that amping up the flavors could do wonders for their desirability and drawing more diners. read more

The parking is valet though there are a few free spots out front and we managed to snag one because we aren't big fans of valet. The free bread is good and they did give us more when we asked for it. It also came with some olives which my husband loved. The corn muffins were also great. The mojito was only mediocre and the Guinness ok. The filet mignon and branzino and accompaniments were very good quality, with the steak and fish perfectly cooked as we ordered them. The sauces though were bland and uninteresting. The lava fudge cake didn't have real fudge and the cake tasted stale. The ambiance was very nice though and the seating comfortable with booths and comfortable chairs. I'm back and better than before We started with the spinach and artichoke dip, which was creamy, rich, and served with perfectly crisp chips. The shishito peppers were blistered just right with great flavor and a little kick. Simple, but done well. The smash burger was the standout. Cooked perfectly with a great sear, juicy inside, and topped with melty cheese and pickles that balanced everything. Add the truffle fries and it was game over. Crispy, flavorful, and generously seasoned. The Greek salad was fresh and bright, with good quality feta and olives. A solid, refreshing balance to the heavier dishes. Service was exceptional. We went for an early dinner this week. The place was empty and the waiter was attentive. That changed once a few people arrived. I ordered the crispy calamari with cherry peppers & pepperoncini. I received a bowl of grilled fried crispy calamari (go figure that out). Basil aioli and marinara on the side. It wasn't what I ordered. I like the cherry peppers and pepperoni. I'm not a fan of returning food - don't know what is done to it when it's out of sight. We also ordered a burger and scallops. The burger was good - happy for my wife. I ordered the scallops. The scallops were fine - but the were served on a bed of rice (may have been fried) with some frozen vegetables and chopped asparagus. Both a lazy and sloppy preparation. We tried this based on a friend's recommendation. Unfortunately, I will not go back. One side benefit of a disappointing meal - we went around the corner to St. Rocco's bakery for a great dessert. This place has a lot of potential because the food is great but the service and ambience is likely the reason why 2/3 of the place was empty on a Friday night. There was no one at the hostess stand when you first walked in and the person who did come to seat you was dressed very casually and then was sitting with his family in a booth - so that set first impressions. The tables weren't bussed in between appetizers and dinner. Tables that also had been vacated weren't bussed so you saw food remnants and scattered forks when you walked to the bathroom or to leave. The first thing you see when you walk into the women's bathroom is a changing table, there is also a hole where you can see a pipe. I think a more elevated service and more elevated touches around the place would help make this restaurant hard to get into like a lot of LI restaurants on a Friday night because the food was very good. read more

They were busy, but the service was still attentive and quick.The ambience was wonderful and the food was delish! I got a Hugo spritz which was perfect, and we shared the burrata appetizer and the calamari. Went to dinner at Oak and Vine this evening as we were in the neighborhood and my girlfriend was starving, saw the outside of the place and it looked nice so we decided to come for dinner. Valet Parking, very convenient, nice attendant, car parked up front. The restaurant inside is brand new and gorgeous, clean, beautiful decor, inviting vibes, and the hostess was nice to seat us. The star gets lost because of the server. She spoke crazy fast and softly, spilled both the drinks we ordered, her Martini on the table and my Guinness on my coat and beanie, from then on, we both knew there was no "making nice" on this dinner, so hopefully she slows down when she's serving tables. The rest of the dinner was great. The food is delicious. She had the steak. Perfectly cooked. Fries were crispy. The sauces were great too. The Cesar Salad was huge, also delicious, dressing was tasty, ancovies also a nice touch, very filled from a nice portion. Went here for a date night and it did not disappoint. It was our first time, and for entrées we ordered the branzino and the steak--both were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. You could really taste the quality in each bite. The service was excellent too. The staff was attentive without hovering, and they made sure we were taken care of throughout the night. For dessert, we shared the sorbet (incredible) and the chocolate cake (rich and amazing). Both were the perfect ending to the meal. Overall, this spot is a 10/10. I'm at a loss for words. This place seemed like it would be on the up and up. I showed up and was seated right away. Staff was nice and we were greeted right away ( table of 2). Once we were seated it took us 18 mins to get menus. There was a nice young gentleman that saw us waiting and ran over asking if we could use water. I asked him for menus and he was very tentative. A server dropped off menus and left, 30 mins in all we had was the bottle of water ( thanks to bus boy ) when the server returned, first question was would we like anything to drink, and my answer was YES, but would love a drink menu to see my options and threw in the watermelon and burrata app. 45 mins in 1 of 2 drinks was delivered and I mentioned there was 2 and I was like oh shoot brb. Almost an hr into being seated and I was ready to pay for the bottle of water and the drink that was received and call it a day. The app showed up and we questioned it cause it had no watermelon and came with avocado toast and olives with an egg, but the runner said it was the watermelon dish. I noticed the table next to me sending food back from being wrong/ hair in one. And they were talking about the service. I was a bit shocked due to it not being crazy busy but everything was just off. Can't say Any one person was to blame but just wasn't it. When we did get the watermelon dish it was . Out of fear of waiting another hr for incorrect dishes, we ran down to bar frites which saved the day. Dinner at Oak & Vine hits a lot of yummy spots. The ambiance is chic, service excellent and the dishes absolute perfection. We dined here in September and loved it, then I was recently tagged on my main account on Instagram @stuffpayloves to enter a giveaway for @oakandvine.ny I tagged a few people and entered. Lo and behold I won! I made plans to pick up my awesome winnings and realized it was an odd weekday, where everyone would be home, so we decided to dine out on a very rainy night. Great choice! No cooking and the dinner was phenomenal. Both times we really enjoyed the meal, service and ambiance. The restaurant is located off of Glen Cove Rd on Cedar Swamp Rd just a few blocks in to the right. They have parking and the outside is beautifully decorated like the inside. The host and servers are always so friendly and helpful and make us feel at home. We always get a few starters along with some mocktails for the kids and drinks for ourselves. I always luck out with my drinks they take me back to my beach vacation as I always opt for the Mai Tai and Margaritas. Hubby's drinks always seem a touch sweet for him but he's a bourbon guy and they can be "particular". Kids Mocktails are always fun and delicious. Their favorites are Crying over Citrus and Sunset Symphony. Everything we ordered is delicious. The Tuna Tartare is deliciously seasoned with avocado, an umami glaze and served with a delicate rice crackers. My Burrata with Heirloom Tomatoes were very good, though I did not get as much of heirloom tomato vibe as I did the delicious pistachio pesto, perfectly toasted sourdough and the burrata, which stole the show. The Calamari is my absolute favorite and even our kids want seconds of the Grilled Octopus and Roasted carrot hummus. For entrees we've tried the Lobster Rigatoni, which is hands down the best pasta dish I've had in forever... possibly ever. The baked Cavatelli & Burrata, my daughter's favorite, and the Skirt Steak with crispy truffle fries and crispiest onion rings which is my son's go to dinner here. My husband has tried the crispy Branzino and loved it as well. The desserts are classics, house made and taste absolutely delicious. We've tried the ice creams and sorbets and if you're stuffed you can easily skip these for a lighter visit. But the apps and entrees are the clear winners here. Not sure how they can be this good at meals that taste out of this world but also taste like the best homemade food ever. Such a fun, easy, delicious brunch, Lunch and dinner spot. **5 Stars!** Oak & Vine in Glen Cove is an absolute gem. This place opened in May 2024, and wow, it's SO good! The modern look combined with jazzy vibes and beautiful floral décor really sets the tone. When you pull up, there's valet service, and the layout inside is perfect -- you've got the main room, a cool modern bar, outdoor seating, and a special Piano Room. I went with my 5 best girlfriends, and we had such a fantastic time. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly. I'd called ahead, and they brought us right to our seats. Let me tell you, the plates were adorable (had to post a pic!), and the seats were so cushiony and comfortable. Their drink menu is *amazing*! I had the Maui Margarita and another spicy margarita (forgot the name, but it was incredible). For appetizers, we ordered the octopus, roasted cauliflower & carrots with whipped ricotta. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from simple cauliflower and carrots, but they were absolutely delicious! We also had the truffle gnocchi with shaved truffle and truffle cream sauce--wow, just wow. The Caesar salad was unique; instead of a typical chopped salad, each lettuce leaf was perfectly dressed, almost like a wedge salad. For mains, we shared the skirt steak special and crispy Branzino, and both were excellent. Now, the desserts...damn! At first glance, the dessert menu seems small and maybe a bit underwhelming, but do not be fooled. We ordered one of each, and all were phenomenal! The chocolate tree dessert, in particular, came with a little chocolate tree giving off major winter vibes--so cute and delicious. Our waitress Tiffany was perfection--so sweet, attentive, and gave the best recommendations. The busboys were respectful and quick, clearing dishes right away when we were done. Before we left, we got a tour of their private event room, which holds 50 seated and about 70 standing. It's a stunning space, perfect for a party! We just left after spending hundreds of dollars (party of 9) and let's just say it was like every employee is playing overcooked and we have to pay money for it. Even though the restaurant was pretty dead the servers couldn't serve, the bartenders couldn't bartend, and the cooks couldn't cook. Immediately I got a 14 dollar mocktail spilled on me, my wool coat, and every chair nearby by one the waiters, who didn't really apologize but did throw me a napkin which was nice I guess-it was definitely the end of a long day for him so I would've let it slide if that was the only Issue... it wasn't Then they mixed literally every single order up both in contents and when it was supposed to come out so we were all eating the wrong food at different times, the food itself was ok but the price points were obscene for what it was, especially considering we got salads without dressing and had to ask for some :/ read more

My blue cheese salad was delicious - surprisingly light dressing and refreshing with tomatoes and crisp ,well down bacon chunks . ( I did with - out the accompanying pickled onions bc I'm not a fan ) servers were nice but inexperienced and prob short staffed , which happens everywhere these days ( no milk or sugar offered for coffee , had to ask for check repeatedly) but food was v good. Caesar salads and veggie appetizer with ricotta, fig jam and roasted cauliflower offered looked beautiful and was commented favorably on. Our server's recommendations, knowledge about food and clearly a knack for customer service showed through her every interaction. Ambiance was on the dark intimate, upscale side, but not pretentious in any way. There was good table, booth seating indoors and even a smaller intimate area, where live music is available on selected days. Outdoor seating is also an option, but holds the view of the Land Rover bldg. The food options, specials are vast and taste is on point. Seafood, fish were cooked perfectly. Homemade pasta selections were a perfect choice to our meal. The drink specials were inviting, light, esp refreshing spritzer and sneak up on you. Hope others will support this establishment as I think their little touches to detail will make them a long term community staple. read more

Both the pork chop and Branzino were over cooked, under seasoned and dry (The branzino was far worse) The server did not return to ask how our food was but DID return when our wines by the glass were empty (the best part of the meal). Loved how crowded it got throughout the night, makes me happy to see that location be busy after a lot of change over!
