Came here for Father's Day brunch and thoroughly enjoyed everything! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sat at a table overlooking the golf course and the bay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Had the egg white omelette which was delicious, a bloody Mary, and a special carrot cake for dessert which was made to order and so good. Service was great, kind and attentive. Would definitely come back!

We are out for our middle daughter's birthday celebration at The Markers restaurant in Lattingtown, NY. We were greeted by our waitress, Cameron, who was wonderful. We ordered our drinks and gave me a large sample of an IPA, Highlife! It was perfect. My wife loves to drink Manhattans but it has to be half rye and half sweet vermouth. She said it was Perfect and she is hard to please! LoL. We ordered our meals: Eggs Benedict, linguine with clam sauce with clams and shrimp, and Pappardelle bolognese. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed her birthday. The waiters came and sang "happy birthday." My wife brought cookies so we ate cookies and ice cream. Great memories for our family! The Market received high marks for excellence in food and service! If you're in the North shore of Long Island the Marker restaurant is a must. Good food and safe travels! All the best to you and your families.

Came here for my grandparents anniversary. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What a nice hidden restaurant by a golf course on the north shore.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were accommodated very nicely by being greeted and throughout the meal. We started with a salad for the table and calamari. I don't eat calamari but the table seemed to enjoy it. The salad was very refreshing . We ordered the watermelon salad as well as the arugula salad. For some reason all of our tables order was not taken at the same time so there was a 20-30 minute lag between appetizer and entree. This was my reason for one star deduction but the server was very nice and apologetic about the wait . For my main I had the striped bass special without the chorizo. My only critique was they didn't give me a knife so it was hard to cut through the delicious crispy skin with the fork. The whole plate was divine and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a few desserts to celebrate the occasion the best one being the apple for sure! Hot and well spiced!

From the moment we arrived, the service was top-tier. Every team member, from the servers to management, was incredibly attentive and genuinely welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was absolutely perfect, creating such a comfortable and stylish vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And the food? Phenomenal. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. Huge shoutout to Bryan, Olivia, Daniella, Maya, and Victoria, thank you all for going above and beyond to make our night special. We felt so well taken care of. We'll definitely be back!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I really liked the vibes here. Sitting right on the golf course on the north shore of Long Island in the summer just feels great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love looking out in to the sound as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was pretty slow but the food was outrageously good.

Roasted half chicken. Green beans. Mushroom risotto.

Beautiful entryway that sets a welcoming tone right from the start. We were greeted immediately and seated, even though we were waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. The staff thoughtfully offered the choice of tap or sparkling water, which was a nice touch. Service was a bit on the slow side, but everyone we interacted with was lovely and attentive. We ordered the wedge salad to start, and it was impressively large and crisp. The oven-roasted chicken, spatchcocked and mostly deboned, was flavorful and cooked well. It came with a side of rich mushroom risotto and perfectly tender string beans. Overall, a pleasant dining experience that balanced good food and a warm ambiance. Just be prepared for a slightly leisurely pace--they're only open a few weeks and need to work out the kinks.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful view of course!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Went for dinner on a week night. The clams oreganata were delicious! Whole sweet clams great crunchy topping. The macadamia crusted salmon was delicious. The CHICKEN MARSALA was amazing!! The chicken was moist and juicy! Better than I have ever had anywhere! We ordered from the price fixe menu so of course had to get dessert. The pistachio crème brûlée was ok.... I like regular Crème brûlée . The warm chocolate cake was delicious!! Services was great! Highly recommended!!!

My family and I came here to dine recently. The indoors is still under construction so it is outdoor/patio seating only, which was totally fine for me because the weather was decent and it has a beautiful view of the golf course and beach in the distant background. We had a reservation, but based on the traffic when we went, I do not think it's imperative to have a reservation. The menu here is similar to that of Brass Rail, but with minor adjustments. For example: here, they had stuffed squash blossoms while Brass Rail had stuffed zucchini blossoms. Both had a Mezcal-inspired cocktails. I liked the flavor combinations at The Marker better. I ordered a Bacon Cheese Burger off their specialty menu and it was delicious. Very generous bacon portion and toppings. The red onion...I'm couldn't pinpoint what they did to it, but it wasn't overly potent like onions usually are. When we arrived, we were seated and greeted immediately. We started off with a lady server, but there was another server named Juan who took good care of us. We were initially seated under an umbrella, but once it started sprinkling, Juan came over to move us immediately to underneath the awning. Good thing he did because 10 minutes later, it started pouring. He was extremely apologetic about not seating us under the awning to start. He was extremely helpful, friendly, and kind. Thank you Juan! Service was fast - cleared the table quickly, kept the water cups full, quick refills, we hardly waited for our food/drinks - until it rained. Then a lot of the staff disappeared and Juan was the one who took care of us. Ha.

This is one of our favorite go to spots. Food is consistent and delicious. Servers are wonderful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambience and views are amazing![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We like to play tennis and go for lunch here after. A lot of people frequent after playing golf. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It feels like belonging to a country club but with better food and no membership fees![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our favorite menu items here are the shrimp lettuce wraps, salmon tacos, corn soup, and whatever special fish they have is always amazing!

HAD MY 50TH BIRTHDAY PARTY HERE AND WOULD DO IT AGAIN!!!!!…read more This was only my second time here but my first visit made such an impression that I had to celebrate my big day here!! I started my party planning with a previous employee but upon getting in touch with the owner TOMMY, everything went off without a hitch!!! My host/server MICHELLE T. was truly amazing!!!!! She orchestrated my party like a pro, checked-in frequently with me, perfectly timed my chosen courses and paid careful attention to ny birthday cake and cupcakes I brought in. I loved all their party options, they truly have something for everyone. If you want afternoon, brunch or dinner times, you can literally have dozens of different selections for your entire party courses, I hope to have a future celebration here, and try even more delicious choices. Valet parking was a great plus, location is also very convenient from Queens and Suffolk counties. Defintely check them out if you're looking for a weekend brunch, romantic dinner or a family celebration.

We were seated immediately in the room toward the back left corner where we were the only table occupying the space. In fact, as the evening progressed, no other diners/groups were seated back there, which was nice. We observed that although it was a Friday evening at prime dinner hour, the restaurant never got too full nor was the bar area buzzing. Again, it was nice that it wasn't so hectic in there, but we noted that as curious for a spot like this, on a Friday evening, and when the weather was pleasant. Starting with a high point: our server was really good. He was a very nice young man who let us know at the end of our meal that it was actually his first day on the job. While we could tell he didn't know everything about the menu - which is totally understandable given him being a new hire - he was kind, personable, and went above and beyond to provide excellent and timely service. As for the venue, it was nice although not upscale and that was just our speed for this evening. We loved having the room to sit comfortably at a setup that could comfortably seat 8. As for the food, it was decent although I wouldn't call anything I tasted fantastic. For apps, we shared 2 orders apiece of calamari, crab cakes, and lamb chops (6 apps total) with the chops being my favorite out of those. The calamari were small and didn't pack a lot of flavor but they were fried well. The marinara sauce that came with it was also fine but not remarkable. The crab cakes were a little mushy for our liking. For my entrée, I ordered the Lobster Rigatoni. There was plenty of lobster on top, the portion was more than solid, and it came out at the right temperature but the flavor again failed to really impress and was somewhere between "fine" to "good". For dessert, I ordered the chocolate lava cake, and I was truly disappointed by that. For starters, there was no gooey "lava" as the name implied, and the edges were dry and seemed overcooked. The flavor again fell a little flat and I didn't bother to finish it even though I am usually a huge fan of chocolate desserts. All in all, we had an enjoyable evening as a crew, but the food could be elevated a bit from a flavor standpoint. I would give the food a little better than a "3" but I think they have enough going for them that amping up the flavors could do wonders for their desirability and drawing more diners.

Seven of us after dinner, chose Valley Piano Bar because its website clearly advertises: "Thursday - It's All About Her. Thursday nights, first cocktail on us for all ladies." Refer to the snapshot here as proof to what I am saying. There were no disclaimers or fine print. Before ordering, I even asked our server to confirm the promotion, and she said yes. We stayed for about two hours, ordered appetizers, dessert and cocktails. When the bill arrived, all 7 "free" cocktails had been charged. The server told us her boss, Nico, instructed her to do so. When I questioned Nico, he first claimed the second drink was free, even though the website clearly says the first cocktail is complimentary. He then said, "Common sense, lady. You can't just come in, have a drink, and leave." That made no sense because we had ordered food not just cocktails. He followed that by saying, "People like you think you can come in, get free drinks, and leave. Don't even come back!" That comment was deeply offensive and made us feel singled out and unwelcome. Whether intentional or not, it left me questioning whether my ethnicity influenced how we were treated. This isn't about the cost of seven cocktails. It's about misleading advertising, dishonesty, and the disrespect shown by management. I had recommended Valley Piano Bar because I'd enjoyed it before, but my friends left shocked by the "boss Nico's" arrogance and unprofessional behavior. We will not be returning, and I hope ownership takes this complaint seriously. Customers deserve honesty, respect, and clarity from businesses that advertise promotions to draw people in. I will make sure all the relevant authorities are contacted. Do better!

Maybe not close, north shore food is... not generally as good as they charge. The restaurant, Gatsby's Landing, draws its name from the romantic nostalgia of The Great Gatsby. Situated near the Long Island Sound and Roslyn Pond, the setting offered a beautiful waterfront ambiance. My wife opted for the Baby Roasted Beets Salad, Salmon, and Crème Brûlée, while I chose the Lobster Bisque, Squid Ink Tonnarelli, and Tiramisu. The menu highlights their commitment to fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients - a promise they certainly delivered on. The dishes were both delicious and generously portioned. It was clear the kitchen doesn't skimp on quality; for instance, the lobster bisque was loaded with tender lobster meat, the squid ink tonnarelli featured an abundance of blue crab, and the salmon was a substantial, thick-cut fillet. The chef clearly possesses a mastery of technique, knowing exactly how to pair garnishes and balance flavors in perfect harmony. Furthermore, the waitstaff was both diligent and courteous. We can see why this establishment is so popular--the combination of exceptional cuisine, attentive service, and the serene lake views is hard to beat. However, there is one area for improvement: the restaurant should consider replacing their current chipped plates with larger, more elegant dinnerware. High-quality presentation would better reflect the dignity and caliber of the food they serve.

I don't know about others, but it's been a real challenge for me to eat healthy during Rona times…read more After noticing my expanding waistline with dismay I decided to change things up a bit and took to Yelp for healthy alternatives. I found it's no easy task to find fresh vegan food in these parts, let alone places that deliver throughout Nassau and Western Suffolk counties as does Conscious Kitchen LI. So I was very happy to stumble upon CKLI's pics of beautiful fresh veggie concoctions on Instagram, perused their weekly online menu and placed an order via their secure website (note: currently CKLI is a delivery only biz, no eat-in facilities). Food is made from scratch, locally sourced and organic. For my first delivery I got: 1) weekly special salad - microgreens, chick peas, beets, asparagus, strawberries, almonds and other goodies with miso dressing on the side; 2) Falafel Hummus Wrap; 3) Thai Butternut Squash Soup; 4) Pasta Fagioli Soup; 5) Green and Red Juices. My food was delivered on time, nicely packaged in compostable containers. I enjoyed everything I ordered and portions were pretty good, especially the pristinely fresh salad which weighed in at 16 oz. Fresh squeezed juices were especially delicious, housed in cute glass bottles that one can exchange at the next order drop-off. Soups were more like stews, thick, hearty and well spiced with fresh herbs. CKLI is a small biz that delivers locally (0-5 miles from Glen Cove) from 5-6:30PM, and 5+ miles away from 6:30-8PM. I fall into the latter area and got my food at 6:30. Delivery is flat rate $5 Glen Cove local and $6 for other LI towns, not bad if you're placing a robust order. For now my cheeseburger-addicted hubbie took a pass on these vegan vittles, but I'm still hoping he'll try something from my next CKLI deliver lol. Whether you're a dedicated vegan or just looking for a fresh healthy alternative to the usual oily caloric takeout fare, you may want to give Conscious Kitchen LI a try.
