This was our first time dining at The Union, and it definitely won't be our last. We had reservations and were seated right away, which was a great start. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and very helpful in guiding us through the menu. We started with the margarita pizza and the baked oysters special--both were fantastic. For our entrées, we ordered the surf and turf sushi roll special and the roasted chicken, and again, everything exceeded expectations. To finish, we had the brownie dessert with homemade gelato along with martinis, which was the perfect ending to the meal. We would highly recommend The Union and will definitely be back!
My first visit to The Union - after patronizing its stodgy predecessor "The Carltun" in the same location for years - went very well. We celebrated a birthday dinner on a frigid December night. Our server Despina greeted us warmly and even sang to the birthday "boy." Excellent friendly service throughout the meal. Complementary bread came with a nicely spiced olive oil dip, a perfect way to soak up our excellent cocktails. My "Lush Pear" was a nice mix of fresh fruit puree and vodka, served straight up in a coupe glass. Really excellent taste and quite potent as well. Tequila based "Gigi" was a perfect mix of tart and sweet. Partner's 24 ounce ribeye was tender, flavorful and perfectly cooked, in fact he said it was better than many he's enjoyed at famous steak places. Whipped potato and creamed spinach sides were delicious. My lamb chops were a bit overcooked, and the olive spinach side was very salty. Still a good dish but I'd probably go with something else next time. "Nightcap" dessert was decadent, comprised of ice cream, chocolate mousse and fresh whipped cream. The dessert would have been plenty for four diners, but that didn't stop the two of us from devouring it by ourselves :) The only snag was the crowded noisy bar area adjacent to the dining room. Perhaps the energetic noise level was due to festive groups enjoying the holiday season. No matter; all in all a great experience and I look forward to future visit(s).
Soo good!! Went with friends and we all got different stuff. The only complaint was the non alcoholic espresso martini. They said it was too sweet. My steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. My friend got avocado toast, another French toast and the other a sandwich. It was all delicious! I will be going back soon
A beautiful place and service was great. The ambience is perfect for the holiday season. Made reservations by calling them. We ordered a bunch of apps, drinks, and entrees. Tried the beef carpaccio (yum), petite raw tower (fan for the mother), duck taco (would pass), burger (heard it was good), picanha, lamb (yum if you like a fatty peice) and skirt steak (delicious). We also called to make sure we had chicken tenders and fries for the kid. The chicken was 3 tiny peices. Of the drinks, I loved the pear one martini one. It was delicious. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake, toffee pudding, and the midnight espresso martini. Dessert was a big disappointment. It was eh and the drinks was the worst. Avoid it unless you like to taste bad vodka. Overall, it was a great place to celebrate the December babies and the holidays.
I had been absolutely dying to come here since they opened. So when my mom wanted to go out for my birthday part 2 I was like lets go here! The decor is amazing and the food is amazing. I'd highly recommend this place. Service was also amazing. I'd call this now one of my favorite restaurants on the island.
Meals are great the two times we visited. It's a hidden gem nestled in the public golf course and Eisenhower county park. While there is no strict dress code, probably because of its location, the ambiance is classy (so you can dress up for ladies night out if you wish) and the service is top notched. The price is quite reasonable for the food and services. Plenty of parking in large golf/Eisenhower parking lots. When the weather is good, you can walk around before or after your meal. We enjoyed the spicy spaghetti and lobster pappardelle more than the pork chop this time. Definitely will be back again!
The ambiance is really nice especially for date night. They have a patio, which is a nice touch for once it gets warmer the food is delicious. Their sushi are fresh. The service was impeccable. I definitely recommend this gem.
Came here with my coworker to catch up, and it turned out to be a pretty great spot for it. We sat outside since the weather was perfect -- sunny, breezy, and just too nice to pass up. We didn't realize the place was actually tucked away in the park, but after a little wandering, we found it right by the golf course. Definitely worth noting if it's your first time visiting -- it's a bit hidden, but once you're there, the setting is really peaceful. They do have a happy hour, but just a heads-up: it's bar seating only, and by the time we arrived, the bar was already full. Still, we had no complaints -- the food and drinks were both solid. There were a lot of tempting options on the menu, so I'm already planning to come back and try more. It's a great little spot for a chill afternoon or low-key evening -- just maybe get there a bit earlier if you want to snag those happy hour deals.

The sticky toffee pudding was also good, accompanied with salted caramel ice cream. The restaurant was packed for a Saturday night!
Love coming to The Union, especially when it's warm and you can sit outside for brunch. Whether you're with a small group or a decent size group, the food here is amazing from the Lox flatbread to the deviled eggs, or the steak and eggs nothing disappoints. If you like shishito peppers I'd also try that as well. I can go on and on and compliment the biscuits and even the mini lobster rolls. Highly recommend for brunch. Service is always great.
Beautiful entrance and indoor space. Contemporary, fresh and good vibe. Service was nice but the food was unfortunately nothing to write home about. It was promising but the culinary experience did not live up to its surroundings.
I have been seeing this place all over instagram and hearing great things about it. Usually I'm skeptical when every 'food influencer' is raving about a new and trendy spot, but this place was awesome. It's in Eisenhower park, parking is ample, but be forewarned-- I had a considerable walk from my car to the restaurant. The grounds are beautiful leading to the restaurant, and it shares its space with a members only club. For starters, we had meatballs (my friend ordered and enjoyed), slab bacon-amazing, and a strawberry feta salad. We each had a cocktail (I can't remember the name of mine), but they were all great! For an entree I had the breaded pork chop with artichoke which was very good, and my friends had the Picanhe steaks which were both great. We shared creamed spinach (yum!). For dessert, we split the key lime pie, crème brûlée, and tiramisu. All were great! Can't wait to come back!

This was my first time at The Union, and I will definitely be back! I came for a friend's birthday brunch and had such a positive experience. Our waitress, Brigette, was amazing! She had great recommendations, was attentive to every detail, and had such a warm and beautiful attitude. Our entire group loved her, she truly made our experience even better. The food was delicious! We shared the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer, and I had the ribeye sandwich. The sandwich was a great size, and the ribeye was flavorful and tender. Great food, great atmosphere, and exceptional service from Brigette. I'll definitely be back! read more
The Union has become one of my Top 5 picks for a great dinner on Long Island because it checks all the boxes: great food, great ambiance, and a great staff. I believe our first visit was almost two years ago, and we've continued coming back ever since. Nestled inside Eisenhower Park and connected to the former Carlyle wedding venue, The Union feels a little tucked away--which is part of its charm. The menu has everything you'd expect from a higher-end steakhouse, but what sets The Union apart is that they also do sushi--and somehow nail it just as well as they do a filet mignon or roast chicken. On our most recent visit, we noticed the menu had been updated. Thankfully, all of our favorites are still there, with just a few tweaks. I also love the new cocktail menu design, which features photos of the drinks along with descriptions. They make a terrific smoked Old Fashioned here, which is generally how I start my meals at The Union. They have a great raw bar along with a huge selection of appetizers. The slab bacon is awesome, and the French dip sliders could easily make a meal on their own despite technically being an appetizer. There's a great selection of steaks, including a couple of dry-aged options for two. Steaks are generally à la carte, but the sides are reasonably priced, mostly in the $10-$15 range. The duck-fat potatoes are excellent, and I'm a big fan of their creamed spinach. Then there's the sushi. Their signature Union Roll is the standout, but honestly, we've had great luck with all of their specialty rolls. Now, do your best to save room for dessert because I'm going to spill the beans on one of The Union's secrets: they have some of the best ice cream I've ever had in my life! I realize it's a little ridiculous to rave about classic vanilla ice cream, but just wait. Take that first spoonful and I guarantee there's a good chance your reaction will be: "Damn, that is some tasty ice cream!" Even the whipped cream is ridiculously good and almost gives the ice cream a run for its money. Expect to leave The Union very full--and usually carrying some leftovers home. The setting is another big plus. Outdoor dining overlooks the golf course and makes for a beautiful backdrop, and when the weather gets cooler, the fire pits on the back patio make it a great place to hang out with a drink. The wine list is solid as well. Valet parking is another nice touch, especially since events at Eisenhower Park on weekends can sometimes make parking and traffic a little tricky. After nearly two years and multiple visits, The Union continues to deliver. Steak, sushi, cocktails, a beautiful setting, and apparently life-changing vanilla ice cream. My wife and I have been wanting to dine at The Union, in Westbury, for quite some time. Tonight, we both had a craving for a good burger, and wanted to enjoy this beautiful evening, in a nice outdoor setting. With that I said let's try the Union. The Union, is located in Eisenhower Park. The path leading up to the restaurant, is surrounded by mounds of stunning flowers. The restaurant itself has a very nice open look, with a very long 10 seat bar. The rear of the restaurant has a beautiful and spacious patio overlooking the golf course. Sitting on the patio gives a feel that you're dining at a very exclusive country club. The menu is primarily geared for sushi & steak, but has a number of salads, as well as pizza. We began our meal by sharing a Greek salad. My only objection with the salad, was that the feta cheese had a bland taste, unlike the salty creamy taste that typically exudes from feta cheese. The other issue with the salad, was that it was served with a miniature serving tong. The tong, aside from being tiny, did not easily close to pick up portion's of the salad. We asked the waiter if he can provide us with a serving spoon & fork. After 10 minutes the waiter returned with a regular sized fork & spoon, and to our dismay, said the restaurant didn't have any other serving utensils. Next, we moved on to our main reason for our being there, which was to enjoy the 10 ounce cheeseburger & fries. Unfortunately, when we began eating, our burgers, it was pretty apparent that the sesame buns the burgers were served in weren't fresh, and shouldn't have been served to customers. I did note that quite a few patrons ordered burgers, and I noticed that most patrons took the burger out from the buns. I will never understand why a restaurant would serve patrons any item that's past its useful life. Finally, the restaurant redeemed itself with dessert. The waiter suggested that we try the warm apple covered beignets, which I say was a big YUM!. All in all I have to say I was disappointed with my first visit to the Union, but the ambiance, and the overall delight of the outdoor setting will draw me back again sometime this summer. read more

I attended an in-person training hosted by the Tito's Brand. We sat in a private room that was soo beautiful and ambient. The staff are attentive and friendly. The Espresso Martinis were perfect! The walkway leading up to the front door is well lit with beautiful vibrant landscaping. The Ladies Bathroom is soo clean and you feel like you're in a lavish hotel setting. The food was shared amongst 25 people. Chicken on skewer, salad, margherita pizza, potato's that looked like potato chips, sushi. It was a spectacular experience and look forward to returning in the near future. read more
I really wish I could give it more stars. Food was very good and tasty. Came here for mother's day and was very happy with this being our second option. I had the short rib grilled cheese and the steak fries with the bee sting for my drink exceptional!!!. My son had the steak fries and eggs with a mimosa and he said it was perfect. Our waitress was very nice and she made sure we were good. The only issue was the 15 minute wait after we came in but the service and the food made up for it. I would choose and recommend this place to anyone and everyone. And Nikolas was a pure gentleman he makes sure his guests have a good experience when dining there. Please do yourself a favor and stop by. They also have outdoor seating and inside was just as beautiful so just imagine on a nice summer day. This place is a 10 in my book. read more

A surprisingly lovely place! I'm not going to lie, as I was cautiously pulling up to the park parking lot and trying to figure out where the entrance was, I was wondering if The Union would be worth the hype. I came with my friends for a late Sunday brunch. The service hall was extremely tight, and while not the entire place was packed, I felt like I was in the middle of other people's conversations. I got the Pink Rose as my drink, and it was nice and fruity, served very beautifully. We had a couple of appetizers. Biscuits were nice and fluffy, and while my favorite will always be Red Lobster, they were good and not too doughy or too dry. The homemade preserve and butter were ok. The Korean BBQ wings were unexpected. They were not what I thought they would be, because these wings were doused in thick gochujang-based sauce and not doubled-fried crispy and crunchy with sweet sauce. As a Korean, I kinda approve? It was an interesting take, and a nice smoky flavor from gochujang that was not too salty or vinegary as I've seen the gochujang be abused in these New American recipes. The aioli was not needed. For entree, I got the Egg Sandwich after much mulling over the brunch menu. And what a great choice it was. The ciabatta was perfectly fluffy and flavorful. The eggs were soft scrambled and creamy. Bacon, gruyere, and chives complemented the egg with flavor and texture, and then the truffle butter came in and elevated the whole sandwich. It's been almost a month, and I can still taste this sandwich in my mind. And it's so silly because I still think $17 for some BEC and steak fries is too much, but in my heart of hearts I definitely would order this again. We shared a tiramisu for dessert. It was ok, nothing to write home about. The sushi options on the other table looked beautiful, so maybe I would order something off the sushi menu the next time I go. Overall, The Union was a lot of fun with surprisingly good food. It might be a nice place for a special birthday meal or a fun date night. read more

The food is so flavorful and delicious, our favorite is the skirt steak with fries on the side along with a chicken parmigiana which comes with a side of spaghetti. We love to come to The Union for special occasions, we spend around $150 including deserts which I personally think is a great price. Portions are more than filling I always leave with a to-go box! I can't wait to try more things on the menu but based off of these two meals I know the rest will be just as yummy read more

Fantastic dinner for 4. Our table was a little small for what we ordered but we really enjoyed our meal. We started with the pull apart appetizer. It was larger than I imagined. The beef was soft and well seasoned with caramelized onions and a great dipping sauce which wasn't even needed. The Alaskan crab roll was delicious. A nice big size to share. We also tried the Japanese everything bagel on sticky rice...yum pieces of sashimi style slices on top. We also had a nice greek salad to start. For dinner one of us went with a juicy burger with a fried egg and fantastic sliced homemade fries. The skirt steak and chimichurri sauce was yum with broccolini. We also had the union roll and spicy roll. The sushi was super fresh and well prepared. The ambiance is sophisticated, and the wait staff was impressive and friendly. Loved our family dinner!! We also had the chocolate dessert and mixed berries... everyone shared and enjoyed it. Great wine and spirit selection. Fire pits outside were lit. We will definitely return.. read more
Had a great time at Union with friends. We went for the following. I had a burger, friends had macaroni penne with cheese, white cheese pizza with arugula and chicken Parmesan. Everything was great. Portions were nicely sized. Drinks were great as well with great alcohol ratios. Customer service was welcoming and knowledgeable. Ambiance was welcoming. Overall a great vibe. Five star experience with 4 star pricing. Great and quick service from seating to food. Not to mention the decor is contemporary classic. Walking up feels like an event but you don't need to be dressed up to eat there. The food is very tasty as are the drinks. Bee sting is the best option for non- gin lovers for cocktails. Every item we had was delicious. Burger is slept on but so good as are their unique fries. The $44 1766 sushi roll is to die for (which you may if you didn't know the price) and the meatballs are perfect. I could go on but you didn't come here to read. Highly recommend read more
Went to The Union for a holiday dinner with my friends. It's hard to find it once in Eisenhower park but we followed the lit trees in order to find our way. Once inside, it's a beautiful restaurant with a nice bar. We went on a Wednesday night and it was definitely busy, but not packed. We ordered a bunch of plates to share and all were decent. I think my favorites were the pizza special which had Brie and prosciutto and the Mac and cheese. We also ordered the chicken parm with vodka sauce, the sushi, the gem salad and the chicken wings. Nothing stood out to me. I don't usually like sushi but the tiger roll we ordered was actually good and fresh. The drinks were OK considering the price of them... I've definitely had better cosmos. The rating of a 3 and not a 4 of this place for me was the service. Our waiter was honestly, not good. He took so long to come over and then after dropping our drinks, took 20 minutes at least to take our food order. We had to finally call him over to tell him we wanted to order our meals. He went to every table before coming back to us and he just could not multi-task. We were very surprised considering this is a very nice restaurant. All in all, for the price of over $300, I most likely won't be coming back for just an OK meal. read more

Ambiance - perfection for date nights , girls night out , sit by the bar alone and mingle or just grabbing a few drinks. I love that it's in the middle of Eisenhower park . Being in the middle of the park , gives you a somewhat a secluded restaurant vibes that offers an intimate and exclusive dining experience. Portions are very generous and I started with the Waygu meatballs that were delicious , tender , moist and with the ricotta cheese ; absolute perfection to dip the bread in. Calamari -was perfectly cooked and loved the side sauce Sushi- was amazing ! Max and cheese - is normal nothing out of this world Cream of Spinach - very good Steak - perfectly cooked and seasoned - didn't take a picture The best tiramisu I have ever had , it is a heavenly blend of espresso, not overly sweat , creamy,dusting of cocoa powder topped with roasted pistachios; which adds so much to this dessert! I literally talk about it all the time I need to go back for round two! read more

Had such a fun girls night out here for happy hour with my friend! The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, I could tell as soon as I pulled up. It's very chic and classy and just good vibes all around! Even their bathrooms stand out! I got Pinot Grigio which was good as well as margherita pizza which was so tasty, the crust was perfectly crisp. The bartender was very attentive too and kept checking on us. Will definitely be back soon! read more

Holiday brunch with the family at The Union. The drive through Eisenhower Park made the experience extra special. As we approach the restaurant there is a beautiful walkway to the restaurant. As you enter you are welcomed by a smiling hostess. The decor is art-deco ish and modern. Eric was our server and he was attentive and made our get together wonderful. Cocktails were delicious, though the mimosa was not served in a champagne flute. The appetizers were delicious (get the slab bacon!). Entree selection was great! We also asked about happy hour and the menu looked great. Looking forward to another visit to try that out. read more

It's been awhile since I had a great dining experience, The Union exceeded my expectations. Gorgeous landscaping, beautiful decor, lovely staff & good food, what more can you ask for? I dined on a Wednesday night had the restaurant wasn't that busy, from the moment we entered the staff was friendly and attentive. The general manager was great, very hands on, checked on us multiple times. If I'm being completely honest I would rate this spot a 4.5 because there were a few hiccups. For apps we had the meatballs which were huge and delicious, the west coast oysters were very large, a few of them were not good/spoiled. The dragon roll special was mediocre, not worth $46, and the bus boy spilled soy sauce all over my friend's leg and himself when he was clearing the table. For dinner we shared the skirt steak which was cooked perfectly, needed more chimichurri sauce, the branzino was prepared very nice as well. For dessert we had the crème brûlée which was really good, very rich and creamy. The tiramisu was disappointing, too much lady fingers, not enough cream. Cocktails were average, we tried the Pink Rose which was very light & refreshing, the Espresso martini was very strong, & the lychee martini (not on menu) was good but the lychee on the rim was rotten. Overall a great spot that I would highly recommend for date night, girls night or a special occasion. read more
