Very nice spot hidden in an apartment complex. The brunch was delicious. Very tasty Bellinis with a bottomless option for $45. Stack of pancakes was not only gorgeous but very fluffy and tasty. Shrimp were cooked perfectly and grits very super smooth. Chicken and waffles were the perfect example of comfort food. The French toast was a bit soggy, the manager was kind enough to replace it with an even bigger portion; bruleed banana was a nice touch. Great spinach artichoke dip- however the veggie sides need much better knife skills. Overall , great meal . Will definitely be back.

Really enjoyed this restaurant! The complimentary bread was served soft with a butter and olive oil mix. The cocktails are good, I got the lavender margarita and my husband got an old fashioned. I wasn't that impressed with the wine list. The wines are expensive and mostly only from California or Long Island. The skirt steak was very good and well cooked. We split that and the mushroom truffle flatbread, which was great. The Brussel sprouts were sweet and drowned in honey. Would have appreciated if they were a little spicy but they were still good. For dessert we tried the cookie skillet which we really enjoyed. The indoor dining is really comfortable, we were in a booth. Service was friendly. Easy parking. Recommend especially if you are in the Garden City area looking for a nice date night spot!

Juniper at The Vanderbilt is a restaurant meant for client wine and dine and long conversations. The food is not bad, but the ambience makes the restaurant seem majestic and out of place from the local area in a good way. Taste: 3/5 Service: 3.5/5 Ambience: 5/5 Value for money: 3/5 We had: 1) Lump crab cake - a bit on the salty side but not bad 2) NY strip - cooked slightly over and charred. Some like the char but we were not the biggest fan 3) Monkfish - probably the highlight, tender and nice. The lentils and surrounding elements brought the dish down however and could've used a mash or something else Understanding that it's a hotel restaurant, please expect to order sides and to not come with mains to be full. And the wait time for food is around 40 minutes. Hence the wine and dine element. If you can take your time to eat and you need to bring someone for business, this works. Beware for those who want a quick bite.

The service was not good at all, but the food was great and restaurant was nice. I think the seller here is the 'bottomless brunch special 'they have, but it took way too long to take our order, the server went missing for almost the entire time we were there, and it took an hour for our food to come out from the moment we sat down - and that was only for 3 dishes. If I have to wait over 15 minutes and then get up and come find the server for something, we're already losing here. They also had a portable console checkout where the server hands it to you to do yourself and then they have the % tip and they awkwardly hover over you while you fill it out. For the expensive price per dish and the upscale restaurant they portray, they should simple take my card and run it like a normal high end place - not hand me a basic iPad like we're at a Chili's. Again I can't deny all the food we had was delicious, including the shrimp and grits, cobb salad, and wild mushroom flatbread - but expect to spend your whole afternoon there waiting for nobody to come often.

Passion fruit bourbon smash (off menu)

Our friends recommended this place after their one random date. Since then, they have been back a few times with other friends. This time, my husband and I finally got time to stop by for some drinks. The bartender Jack is a wizard, let's just say. We were truly amazed at his craft! We tried a few specials that our friends recommended, and they were tasty like the lemon drop. I gave Jack free reign to make me something as long as it's not vodka. One of those was the passion fruit bourbon smash? I forgot the name but it was delicious!! Also, he made me his version of a pisco sour. Yum. Oh, i missed a good pisco sour. It was comparable to some good ones down in Miami. It's been so long since I had really good cocktails, and he didn't skimp out on the alcohol ( a lot of places do when they see it's a female). So, 10 stars, for Jack and the scene. The -1 star is for the food. I tried the salmon tartare, wild mushroom flatbread, and Cinco de mayo nachos. The flatbread was delicious, but everything else needed a lot more flavor. It needed salt, especially for anyone drinking. The creme brulee was grainy and wasn't smooth. I would just stick to the drinks and flatbread. Overall, I can't wait to be back and let Jack bring out his creative side once again!

Great food, service and ambiance! The drinks were flavorful. Will definitely visit again!

A gorgeous luxury apartment/hotel building, truly beautiful especially when you walk inside. Super duper clean, quiet, and the restaurant is straight ahead when you walk in. The bartender and waiter were both very friendly and attentive. We came here for restaurant week, $44 3 course menu. The bread was AMAZING. It was warm and it came with olive oil, perfection. Literally all the food we tried was delicious. I would love to come back here and try the regular menu.

Came last night for restaurant week with friends and we were all very happy with our meals. The mushroom flatbread was delicious and could've been a meal in itself! The pappardelle with short ribs was also very tasty although it could've used a bit more meat. The crème brûlée was outstanding! The place is very pretty inside and our server, David was great!

So disappointed. Food was barely level of a diner. Most tough piece of meat I've had in a restaurant. Really a poor choice for our pre show dinner

Valentines Day Menu 2023

This is an update, but as it was Valentines Day and there was only a price-fixed menu (see photo), it's not necessarily reflective of their norm. First, the base price tab was $90 per person with up charges for various dishes, for example the branzino we ordered was an extra $25 per person. Thus branzino for two was $230!!! With tax it was about $250 and then a 20% tip makes it about $300, and that's without ordering anything besides tap water to drink. Second, everything we ordered was shared and was either good, very good or great. Our first appetizer was a spinach artichoke flatbread with ricotta, mozzarella and garlic. It was basically a very good but wierd thin crust pizza. The artichokes were overpowered and barely discernible. Our second appetizer was the coconut crusted medium sized shrimp with pineapple chili sauce, also very good, albeit not as generous a portion as the flatbread. The portion for two of branzino was generous and came in what seemed like a pesto sauce - it was great! The sides were mashed potatoes (whipped ultra light and bland) and okay spinach. The desserts were a small slice of unremarkable banana bread pudding (and I don't know why they call it "pudding" because there was nothing creamy about it) and a very good pineapple molasses cake that reminded me of dark honey cake with small hot chunks of pineapple on the bottom.

Food, service & vibe were 10/10! My pecorino pasta w grilled shrimp was amazing! Also got caeser salad and spinach and artichoke dip as apps and sides of mashed potatoes & Mac and cheese to share. The girlies got scallops, steak and chicken. Everybody loved their food! We were there for a bachelorette dinner and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Wish I remembered our server's name as he was great! Can't wait to return here :)

What a restaurant, truly a hidden gem in Long Island . Located inside The Vanderbilt Luxury Rental Apartment and Hotel Suites. Walking In , we were greeted by the host and given a table of our choice. Food , we started with multiple different appetizers such as Lamb Ribs , Tuna Tartare , and Fava Bean Dip. I have never been a Tuna person , but the waiter convinced me to give it a shot . And oh boy, it was worth trying. All 3 appetizers were really good and different . On to the main course we ordered the Dry Aged Tomahawk 42oz for two. It was huge , we were overwhelmed by the portions. Steak was cooked perfect to our liking. Finished off with the Vanilla Sundae , felt like we had to be carried out. Ambiance- 10/10 Service- 10/10 WiFi- Yes Parking - Yes ( EV Chargers as Well) Happy Hour - Yes

I have to mention an unusual and disappointing part of the experience. The check was brought to our table before dessert was served, without us requesting it and without being asked if we needed anything else. When we questioned the server, we didn't receive a clear response. A manager explained that "this is how it's done in many restaurants" and assured us the table wasn't needed for another reservation. Regardless, the experience left my guests and me feeling rushed and uncomfortable, which took away from an otherwise enjoyable meal. Overall, the food was very good, but the service approach specifically presenting the check prematurely needs improvement. A simple check-in before presenting the bill would make a big difference in the overall dining experience.

The restaurant, Gatsby's Landing, draws its name from the romantic nostalgia of The Great Gatsby. Situated near the Long Island Sound and Roslyn Pond, the setting offered a beautiful waterfront ambiance. My wife opted for the Baby Roasted Beets Salad, Salmon, and Crème Brûlée, while I chose the Lobster Bisque, Squid Ink Tonnarelli, and Tiramisu. The menu highlights their commitment to fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients - a promise they certainly delivered on. The dishes were both delicious and generously portioned. It was clear the kitchen doesn't skimp on quality; for instance, the lobster bisque was loaded with tender lobster meat, the squid ink tonnarelli featured an abundance of blue crab, and the salmon was a substantial, thick-cut fillet. The chef clearly possesses a mastery of technique, knowing exactly how to pair garnishes and balance flavors in perfect harmony. Furthermore, the waitstaff was both diligent and courteous. We can see why this establishment is so popular--the combination of exceptional cuisine, attentive service, and the serene lake views is hard to beat. However, there is one area for improvement: the restaurant should consider replacing their current chipped plates with larger, more elegant dinnerware. High-quality presentation would better reflect the dignity and caliber of the food they serve.

This place is beautiful and perfect for pretty much any occasion. The first time I brought my sister here for her bday dinner and every dish was absolutely outstanding. The service although it was busy Friday night was also excellent. Our drinks? The smokin gun and spicy margarita were perhaps some of the best drinks we've had in a long time. The minute we left we decided we had to come back again for some drinks and apps. Fast forward to a Thursday night we saw they had a late night happy hour so we decided to give it a try! This is where it all went downhill and I debated on writing this review because I honesty believe in giving businesses sort of a pass for a rough day or just because and you never know know what someone is going through but I was clearly so bothered that I am still thinking about it and I feel like it's only right that the owner should know. We arrived for the late night happy hour and 4 seats happen to be available at the end of the bar. The female bartender proceeded to place menus right in front of us without saying a word. I smiled, kinda hinting hello and when I tell you I just got a blank stare, at first I was confused but again (it's late, it's thursday, people have struggles, be compassionate and move on) Fast forward we order some food, she places mats and utensil in front of us and again nothing, not a word. It was also as if she was annoyed at us for being there. At one point I was speaking Spanish with one of my girlfriends and I noticed she finally looked at us and smiled. I'm unsure what that was about but I was happy to see her smile for once. Finally I noticed a couple came in and went straight to the bartender and right away I noticed her tone and demeanor changed, she was much happier to see them. So I guess she had a decent day after all. The couple and the bartender kinda pointed towards us as if we had taken their seats. This is all happening right in front of my eyes. Now listen, I'm an expert on picking up cues and noticing things around me. It's pretty much what I do for a living. The couple then sat against the wall behind and we could just feel that we just weren't wanted there that night. The vibe and energy felt really off and when I tell you this was perhaps one of the worse customer services experiences I've ever had in this type of establishment, I am not lying. It felt very dismissive and unwelcoming without even saying anything. I'm really disappointed because Ive been bragging to all my friends about this place and really looked forward to the same experience I had previously but this wasn't the case. I'm not sure of if I will be back, but I do hope the managers and owners here give their staff better training on how to treat customers. A simple hello, a smile, and being kind goes a long way not only in the business word but in life.
