Leo's Midway had a great ambiance - it was family friendly which I didn't expect but it was a friendly environment and the staff are attentive enough. steakhouse burger: It was good but more on the salty side especially because of the blue cheese. waffle fry nachos: super crispy fries and loads of toppings, highly recommend.

Leo's in Garden City . It now list as Leo's Tavern. Previously listed as Leo's Midway The bar tender/ busboy said that name change maybe 3 years ago. But it is still Leo's since 1942 as the emblem on the door notes ( see pix) it is midtown located as it's on the corner of Franklin Ave. And 7th st. They've had simple outdoor seating available for 3 weeks now along with a walk up bar. All was mediocre including the sevice or lack of it. We had burgers fries and the order of sweet potatoes was a worthy 2 dollars more. Parking is in the back off of 7th street. While there are various places near by it was nice to sit outside on such a beautiful day.

After a nearby drs appt, we Sat outside for lunch. I was craving a melty steak/roast beef sandwich and we were happy to land here. The host was very sweet and checked in on us often. The sandwich was delicious and the fries were like McDonald's! My husband loved his goulash as well. We haven't been here before but I would definitely come back for that roast beef sandwich!

Table for 3 please! Walked over with 2 friends while we waited for our cars to get fixed at Nissan. Quick 10 min walk! Immediately seated by a very sweet host. Unfortunately there was a long wait for the food. 1 friend asked for medium rare burger and it was well done but still tasted pretty good. Another friend ordered the cajun chicken wrap, the size we just right but could have used a tad bit more Cajun seasonings Finally to the great tasting buffalo popcorn shrimp wrap. Delicious! The shrimp was fried, dipped into the buffalo sauce and still crunchy. Another star of lunch? The waffle fries! So good!

The food was okay, but the server named Debbie was nasty and rotten. Laughed at the birthday boy of our party. Not nice.

There are a lot of TVs, which is great to watch different sporting events at the same time. Definitely a great space to hold an informal networking event. The food was amazing. So much better than I expected! I got the shrooms and bulbs burger, which was delicious. It comes with sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and raw red onion. Next time I may add fig jam to it to add a different level of flavor. I asked for medium but it came out more medium-well. I decided to try garlic butter potatoes and they were delicious as well. They were roasted but the garlic butter flavor was infused throughout the potatoes. Both the shrooms and bulbs and the garlic potato's came highly recommended by our server, Michaela. She was spot on with suggesting these! I also ordered a Wild Sour Series: Dragonfruit Mango Ale. It was perfect and just what I was looking for in a sour. A member of my party got a whiskey burger and French fries. The burger came with Jameson infused bacon, cheddar cheese, whiskey sauce, lettuce, tomato, and raw red onion. She absolutely loved her burger and she is usually very critical of food when we go out to eat. She also loved the French fries. They had a great crunch to them and they weren't too hard. Michaela was amazing! She was so pleasant and offered great suggestions to us. She really helped to make the dining experience a great one for us. Happy hour is 3-6 from Monday through Friday. There are also daily specials Monday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays there is live music and there are DJs. You can rent out the space for events. All in all, I highly recommend Tap Room and I look forward to returning soon!

The steak sandwich had a sweetness to it, almost like a Korean short rib marinade. I wish there was more steak in the sandwich. Service: 3.5/5 The staff is attentive and fast, almost a bit overbearing. We didn't have a chance to try our food yet and our waitress asked us a couple times how was the food. We felt rushed. It would be nice if there was a drink menu instead of having to ask "do you have this/that?" and "how much is this/that?" Ambiance: 5/5 Sally Black's has two floor. The first floor is a bar setting. The second floor is a restaurant setting while still having a bar. We ate upstairs and it was a cozy spot to have a meal and watch the games.

I have been living around this neighborhood for a while and I have not even tried stepping into this place-MY LOSS. Parking is not a problem as the joint has a parking lot beside it. My first impression after getting into their door: relaxed, friendly, and chill local bar, with a lively vibe and a decent size bar area. Casual, informal atmosphere, American pub fare with a dynamic, cozy ambiance. Bar offers a good selection of beers and cocktails and seems to be a popular local spot for watching sports or enjoying a casual night out with friends.  Unfortunately I was unable to try their food as me and my friends were already full prior to coming to this joint, but according to my friend who has been here before, he praised their food for being good which includes burgers, fries, onion rings, and wings.  The vibe is cheerful and energetic, they have a live singer, people watching sports on multiple screens, costumers chatting which tend to get louder as the night gets deeper. They have a wide selection of craft beer and signature cocktails. Staff is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. We have enjoyed their different craft beers, costumer and staff friendliness, and the cozy ambiance. Brew house seems to be a solid choice for a laid-back and fun local bar experience in New Hyde Park, especially if you're looking for pub food, cold beer, and a lively atmosphere with events.  Definitely coming back to try their pub food as recommended by my friend.

The atmosphere is very pleasant and I really liked the decorations and lots of photos. It was quite noisy - there was a football game on, but my husband and I like this kind of atmosphere - otherwise we would go to sports bars. The food and drinks were typical bar fare, deliciously prepared. The chicken wings were generously sized, and the chicken sandwich with fries was perfectly prepared--juicy, on a crispy baguette. I didn't have time to take photos--only of the dining room--because we were all so hungry we wolfed it all down I just wish the manager would increase the number of staff during peak hours, like during a football game. We had to wait quite a while for someone to come to us with menus, then with our order, and the drinks only arrived 20-25 minutes later, just when we were about to leave. The only thing that saved the situation was seeing how hard the waiters and bar staff worked. Plus, everyone was incredibly polite, with smiles. How could you turn down such hospitality? Please, managers, increase the staff a little during rush hour. We'll definitely be back
