Chicken Francese
Kat N.

Consistently great food no matter what we order! The portions are generous and we usually order a variety for sharing. Delivery is friendly, fast and reliable. The restaurant offers casual outdoor seating in warmer seasons or indoor service. The Chef always comes out to say hello and check on us- who does that anymore?? Our favorites are the chicken francaise, the wings, and the burgers, and yet everything is tasty. The spinach egg drop soup is also yummy and hearty, although is a bit on the salty side. It's our all-around go-to place!

Chicken roll with vodka sauce

First tried this place out when I was starving at some Harry Potter event. Grabbed a few plain slices and an upside down Sicilian vodka slice. Wow was I blown alway, the pizza was so good we made our way back the following weekend to get pickles at a farmers market and pizza for lunch. Since the vodka slice was so good I had to try this out in a chicken roll so I grabbed on of those, a plain slice and some garlic knots. I was not disappointed as everything came out fantastic. Staff themselves were interesting but the food kore than makes up for lack of personal skills.

Eggerything pizza

I came here with my friend for the Sunday bottomless brunch. It was $65 for all you can drink, pastries, fruit, dessert, and an entree. The drinks included bellinis, mimosas, screwdrivers, and bloody marys. The brunch started with a basket with muffins, bagels, and fruit pastries and a plate of fruit with Nutella to dip it in. For the entree, I got the Eggerything Pizza and it was very good. When it was time for dessert, we were both so full (and tipsy) we turned it down. The drinks were alright. The bellinis were just prosecco with grenadine in it, not peach. Both the screwdriver and bloody marys were made with Sea Ice, which is *literally* the cheapest vodka you can buy. The screwdrivers were good. However, the bloody mary was so salty it was undrinkable. The ambiance in the restaurant was not really what I was expecting from brunch. There were 5 TVs with 3 different things playing, which I found pretty distracting. Our server was very nice and was always checking in on us. Overall, I would recommend the bottomless brunch.

The downtown has everything you could ask for in a restaurant. Great staff, good atmosphere, familiar yet varied menu, and best of all consistently great food. Perfect place to bring family or friends, or just hang out at the bar. Special shout out to the best waiter, Noah Kolbert!

This is my favorite pizza in Glen Cove/surrounding areas. When I first moved out here I was on a hunt for a "NYC" slice and this is where I come to get my pizza fix. Never burnt, always delicious sauce to cheese ratio and absolutely love the fluffy crust! I get wraps etc too which taste great as well

Large regular pie at downtown pizzeria. Seriously look at the all the tiny bubbles (and the big ones) in this crust. It's just amazing.

Recommended to stop down with our family for lunch to the Downtown Pizzeria, glad we did. It can be challenging to find restaurants who can use simple ingredients and create something special. Our family stopped in for a quick lunch and we kept it simple; a large regular pie with a bunch of fresh garlic knots. I will say, this is close to if not the best regular pie in Glen Cove imo. Their dough and oven make such a light and fluffy bubbling crust, it's almost as if you're eating fresh baked naan from a great Indian restaurant. Granted they made the pie to order and can't know if every pie is this good, but ours was incredible. While at the counter, we were hit with a blast of garlic, olive oil and spices emanating from a giant bowl of freshly made garlic knots passing by. They were hands down, the best we have ever enjoyed. Not too much dough, epic flavor, just perfect. Maybe it was the timing while everything was just being made, but lucky us, we will be back. It should be noted our lunch was also very reasonably priced. A large pie and 6 knots came to 20 bucks and change with a tip. Had the chance to check out the walk through cafe next door and looking forward to trying their wings and burgers I keep reading about soon. Best part is, the food is only going to get better moving so fast when the many new residents move in across the street; after a brief period of wonky service no doubt. Really great place to eat, enjoy.

I'm back and better than before…read more We started with the spinach and artichoke dip, which was creamy, rich, and served with perfectly crisp chips. The shishito peppers were blistered just right with great flavor and a little kick. Simple, but done well. The smash burger was the standout. Cooked perfectly with a great sear, juicy inside, and topped with melty cheese and pickles that balanced everything. Add the truffle fries and it was game over. Crispy, flavorful, and generously seasoned. The Greek salad was fresh and bright, with good quality feta and olives. A solid, refreshing balance to the heavier dishes. Service was exceptional. The sauces though were bland and uninteresting. The lava fudge cake didn't have real fudge and the cake tasted stale. The ambiance was very nice though and the seating comfortable with booths and comfortable chairs. Overall fun nicely decorated spot but don't think I'd go again.

I had the wedge salad and asked for it to be chopped. Done. Then I had Chicken Marsala. My husband and friend had salad with salmon and the roasted chicken. Overall, the food was delicious! Service attentive. I'd go back but I'd take someone with whom I didn't want to have a conversation - too loud. Haha Otherwise it would have been a 5 star review. The Market received high marks for excellence in food and service! If you're in the North shore of Long Island the Marker restaurant is a must. Good food and safe travels! A really intimate place, with probably like 15 tables max inside, and a little bar that can sit also about the same amount of people, but still looks new and fresh, and also be on the lookout because when you're driving the place sneaks up on you. The friendliest service, Lauren who seated us and served us was truly genuine, and I told her I really appreciate that as most restaurants don't have that sense of personal customer service, actually noticeable and appreciated. The food was also really good, the dip was flavorful, could be a little warmer but still very good, the chips were next level, and this was a huge hit. The calamari was lightly breaded, and also I do appreciate the two sauces to choose from when dipping, either Kung Pao or Marinara. I got the Pastrami Rub Tuna over Scallion Mash, and when I first looked at it I thought the fish piece was a bit small, but after eating it, it was the perfect size, and the mash was delicious, and the Wasabi Sauce to dip the fish really made the dish Pop. Drinks were okay, started with a kick and boozy but finished a bit watery for my first one, the second one I had with Mescal was a 10/10 though. This place needs attention, and the fact that it is still pretty low key and food influencers haven't descended to blow up it's spot is awesome.

The restaurant, Gatsby's Landing, draws its name from the romantic nostalgia of The Great Gatsby. Situated near the Long Island Sound and Roslyn Pond, the setting offered a beautiful waterfront ambiance. My wife opted for the Baby Roasted Beets Salad, Salmon, and Crème Brûlée, while I chose the Lobster Bisque, Squid Ink Tonnarelli, and Tiramisu. The menu highlights their commitment to fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients - a promise they certainly delivered on. The dishes were both delicious and generously portioned. It was clear the kitchen doesn't skimp on quality; for instance, the lobster bisque was loaded with tender lobster meat, the squid ink tonnarelli featured an abundance of blue crab, and the salmon was a substantial, thick-cut fillet. The chef clearly possesses a mastery of technique, knowing exactly how to pair garnishes and balance flavors in perfect harmony. Furthermore, the waitstaff was both diligent and courteous. We can see why this establishment is so popular--the combination of exceptional cuisine, attentive service, and the serene lake views is hard to beat. However, there is one area for improvement: the restaurant should consider replacing their current chipped plates with larger, more elegant dinnerware. High-quality presentation would better reflect the dignity and caliber of the food they serve.

Cons: I've called this place 4 times in past couple of months for a pick-up order. First time was great and picked up the food and fell in love so much so that it would be a regular on a night that I'd pick up rather than cook. Second time I called and was told to hold on and I literally timed it. After 10 minutes, no one picked up but could hear all the chatter from the bar patrons. Third time I called it was probably picked up by a bar patrons that sounded like he really enjoyed his liquids. Needless to say, he placed me down on bar and after what seemed like a few minutes, I was hung up on. The last and final time I attempted to call for pickup, no one ever picked up the phone. Final result: I believe if you plan on going up there and dealing with the wait, then the food is worth it. As for me being a regular customer, they've lost my business. If they had a working website or some other way of ordering, I may try them again. Otherwise, I won't go there unless I plan to sit and eat there or indulge at the bar: The potential for a great business is there, but maybe they only want to remain as a bar to their regulars.
