Came here unexpectedly on a day off, a Friday around 2pm for a cocktail. The atmosphere is dark, dimly lit and perfect for a date. The decor is lovely and inviting. Huge drink menu with unusual and unexpected ingredients. There is a lunch menu with a small list of offerings. The bartender helped me decide on which cocktail to try and it was exactly what I was looking for! Delicious and well made. My friend loved her cocktail as well as well. I look forward to returning!

Perfect for a date. Small intimate. Food and drinks are unique, and delicious. Service is excellent.

Should be more than 5 stars. Drinks are top notch, food is amazing. Bar tenders are great, Great conversation, atmosphere 10/10. Music loud enough if you want to listen but also can still have a conversation. One of the top bars on Long Island.

Came here a few times and the drinks are truly the best I ever had! The blank space is the most delicious and refreshing drink ever (it's a watermelon based drink with fresh mint and citrus vodka). I also tried their charcuterie which was good but I think the waiter accidentally brought us some of the wrong meats and cheeses. They were still very good and the service is wonderful. Definitely a cute spot to take friends/visitors for drinks and bites.

Awesome cocktail bar with good eats. The whipped ricotta was my favorite. Pork sausage bao buns came on a different type of bun, a very crispy one. Bartenders were very friendly.

I've had the opportunity to visit Sweet Jane's twice in the last month. Once on a Saturday night and once for Sunday brunch. It's a small venue but packs a big punch. They have an extensive list of over 50 cocktails, from the classics, to the artisanal. The food menu is small, but tasty. I was fortunate to try the chef charcuterie board (which was okay) and the fluffy egg sando (excellent). If you're visiting during the weekend, definitely keep in mind that the place is small, so seating will be limited and you will likely have to wait. The best way to describe the ambiance is that it feels like a hip city bar, with Long Island prices. I look forward to going back.

Cute spot on Main Street in Bay Shore. Had a great evening last night at Sweet Jane. The service was amazing and the drinks were fantastic! We started with the petite plateau. For the main dish I had the pork ramen and my husband had the petite prime rib. He finished it off either a date cake. I enjoyed the absinthe colada.

We loved sweet Jane! The vibes the drinks the service top notch. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star review is I think the food is overpriced for what it is. The place is so cozy and the changing board that lists the songs that come on is such a nice touch. The servers and bartenders were all very nice. We had gotten 4 or 5 different cocktails. I can only remember the name of one Praise You probably cause that was also my favorite. It's so original at least in my experience and fruity but not like gross fruity Ike your drinking a sugary drink. The food wasn't bad at all, it was just average and the plates were small. Regardless we had a great experience. I would 10000% go back for drinks.

From the minute we walked in the staff was accommodating. This place was like a high-end speakeasy in New York City. The ambience was perfect for a date or meeting up with friends. We ordered three things, which was the octopus, scallops, and the prime rib. Fortunately for us the bartender made the command decision and had the octopus and scallops come out first. This was such a great call by Matthew the bartender who served us. The prime rib was cooked perfectly and was sooooo delicious This is establishment was such a pleasant surprise, and we are looking forward to coming back again.

Great little cocktail bar! If you come on a weekend be prepared to wait a little while. We were lucky enough to grab a seat but they do have a text system that will notify you when a seat opens up. Service was great and helpful, will definitely be back!

Absolutely loved the vibes here! It's brand new, they keep the lights low and we're playing old school hip hop. Love love love. Sat at the bar with a couple girlfriends and ordered a charcuterie board and sampled different wines. Everything was amazing! Bartender was fantastic and will def be back.

Happy hour at the bar is from 12-7pm with the bar bites available after 4pm. The place is very nicely decorated and exudes an upscale but unpretentious vibe. I ordered a glass of the pinot noir which was tasty and at $6 a nice bargain. I got the chickpea fries and was surprised by the texture. It was almost custard like with a slight chickpea flavor in a very light breading. Served with the harissa aioli it made for a nice app. After a while I decided to try the Filet mignon sliders, which I ordered medium rare, the bartender said they don't usually take a temp on those but he'd note it. The meat is sliced very thin but was tender and still had a bit of red. The arugula gave it a nice peppery bite. My only critic is the slider roll was very cottony, but the overall taste was very good. I'll definitely be back and will try something off the regular menu.

As mentioned they try to offer fresh, seasonal apps, handhelds, salads and entrees. The protein entree options only offer two to three chicken, pork, steak, seafood selections along with a couple of pasta infused dishes. They have a full bar, so if a beer or cocktail is wanted you do have options there as well. The Mr selected the Chilled Shrimp & Crab Stack, but eliminated the hard boiled egg aspect and thought it was light, tasty and refreshing. I opted for the Faroe Salmon with shrimp that came accompanied/on top of a risotto and peas. I thought cooked medium was perfect making it soft and fork flaky to mix along together. It was a very juicy sizable piece making it very filling. We didn't have time for a dessert, but noted they did have a few offerings there. Also noted they had very well kept mens/woman's and family restroom with baby changing table. Thanks! Would highly recommend this location to others.

Probably one of the best French Dips around! Oh I gotta mention the thick crinkle cut chips! So many places fumble by putting just any commercially available fries or starch on the side of the plate. No fumbles at Magnolias! Seems they hand cut thick crinkle cut chips and fried them perfectly so the outside was crisp and the thick inside was soft and tender! Perfect!!! Um perfect! Oh, forgot to mention, they have a super price fix lunch menu! Hard to beat! We will return again and again! Better late than never with this backdated review--life has just been lifing!…read moreI finally made it to Artemis on July 22nd after fiending to go since January. There's actually a hilarious story behind why I went. I was originally supposed to have a date that night, but let's be real: you'd think a 61-year-old man would know better than to take a 47-year-old woman to Dave & Buster's. I canceled the night before, dolled myself up the day of, and decided to take myself out instead. Best decision ever. The joint is dimly lit. But your eyes wind up adjusting. It's got a great vibe. Definitely excellent for a date night. The bartenders here are absolute rockstars. I started with a Painkiller. Even though it's no longer on the menu, they whipped it up for me anyway--and hey, it definitely relieved my pain, lol! Next, I tried a Corpse Reviver just because it had absinthe in it. It was different, but I really enjoyed it. Naturally, I had to finish with my signature drink, a Cosmopolitan, because I am the Black Carrie Bradshaw of Long Island. And it did not disappoint. The eats: I got the charcuterie board--fancy and bougie, just like me--and wrapped up the night with the brownie à la mode for dessert. Drowning my troubles in sweets is a must when the Long Island dating pool is an absolute wasteland, lmao. Did I want to spend my night around teenagers, kids, and skee-ball? HELL NO! I wanted a grown-and-sexy speakeasy vibe, and Artemis delivered. 5/5 stars--would 100% recommend!

Unfortunately, the overall experience was mixed. The two-hour table limit felt unnecessarily restrictive, especially for a group of eight. We were split into two separate areas of the restaurant, and there didn't seem to be much willingness to accommodate us so we could sit together. The person checking us in was not particularly welcoming, which didn't make the best first impression. What really left a bad taste, though, was the manager's explanation that the two-hour limit is necessary because "turning tables" is how the restaurant makes money. While I understand the business reasoning, hearing it explained that way made the experience feel more transactional than hospitable. The biggest issue is that the time limit actually worked against the restaurant. Rather than staying for another drink and continuing our evening there, we ended up going somewhere else. For me, that defeats the purpose of creating a nice atmosphere if guests are being encouraged to leave before they're ready. Beautiful restaurant, good service from our waitress, but the rigid seating policy and the way it was handled would make me think twice about returning.
