I had such an amazing experience here. Thank you so much to our server Lucy, she was so attentive and friendly. I enjoyed their pork chop with brussel sprouts on the side, and their lemon cheesecake was lovely as well. Will definitely be back soon!

I have been going to this place for about a year. It is fantastic. The food, the potions, the service the quality is all top notch. Get the lemon cheesecake it's a life changer. It's a modern chill neighborhood vibe.

First time here for lunch at this fairly new restaurant. The restaurant is bright and nicely decorated with a lovely bar . The service was outstanding , attentive and everyone was so friendly and polite . I ordered the cavatelli bolognese which was absolutely delicious! Made with homemade pasta and a yummy meat sauce . I enjoyed my lunch and will definitely be returning.

Cacio e Pepe & rigatoni bolognese

Bar Lucy was great!! Very nice Italian ambiance and everyone from the host to bartenders to our server was very friendly. Ordered the Brussels sprouts to start and they were delicious! We went on Tuesday which was their pasta night. The rigatoni bolognese was yummy, but the Cacio e Pepe I would skip - tasted just like pasta in butter with not much other flavor. I will definitely be returning for the other weekly specials!

Visited for the first time the other night and had a mostly good experience. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Our server was friendly and got our drinks quickly. I was surprised that, for an Italian restaurant, they don't offer complimentary bread. Instead, they have a warm ciabatta appetizer for $6. It came with a ricotta dip which was only ok. There was no hot pepper spread. It was fine for two people, but a bit ridiculous if you're with a larger group. Would not recommend. For entrees, we tried the lemon fettuccine and the house pizza. The pasta was actually really good. The pizza, however, tasted a little off--almost artificial. I was expecting a more traditional brick oven style, so that was disappointing. For dessert, we shared the multicolored cake, which was basically a rainbow cookie cake--and it was delicious. The espresso martini was also a hit--strong, smooth, and not too sweet. Overall, I'd come back, but I'd be more mindful of the menu next time, especially when it comes to the pizza and bread offering.

Crispy fried shrimp and stuffed clams

Went there tonight with my wife for our anniversary. Let me tell we had a great time, great food and Kelly (our waitress) was on point. We frequent many restaurants in the Bayshore, Babylon and Patchogue areas, I would say this is right up there with the best of them. We started with the crispy fries shrimp and the baked stuffed clams which were both a nice amount and were spot on. Then we shared a grilled veal chop which was cooked perfect and a nice size. We ended it with an espresso and cannoli's. The place was very clean and decorated cozy, very friendly and inviting. From the host to the waitress and servers everyone was very accommodating. Give it a try, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Let me start off by saying this happens to be me and my wife's favorite restaurant/ Bar in downtown bayshore. Clean friendly atmosphere. Stopped in for early lunch / drinks. Bartender/ wait staff & even the owner welcomed us in and made this experience top tier. We were the first ones to try their new lunch menu and was far from disappointed. Meat balls were packed with flavor and the gravy/ sauce was to on point. I think the owner has his nonna working in the back lol! food packed with authentic flavor. Awesome bartender and great drink specials. This is going to one or must stop in places whenever we're in the area. Highly recommended.

So last month, we went here for a date night around 6:30. We were seated far enough from the bass player (it was jazz night), and he wasn't too loud...it actually made the whole thing feel extremely romantic. The ambiance is a cocktail (no pun intended) of modern and traditional Italian. I loved the pictures on the wall, and the touch of matches on the hostess table when you walk in was such a nice detail. I got a cocktail and a glass of wine, both were very good. We started with the pizza, which was perfect because it had a thinner crust. We didn't finish it as an appetizer and brought a slice or two home, but it was a great palate cleanser for our meals. The menu had a nice balance of traditional and more diverse Italian options, which totally matched the vibe. I even sent pictures to my group chat while we were there and said, "We have to come here." Our waitress was attentive and so sweet.

Dirty Martini and I believe the other drink was called Tour of Italy
    Kaitlin B.

Atmosphere was nice, loved the decor. Would have loved to hear some old school Italian music to match the vibe rather than Chappel Roan. The drinks were just okay. For appetizers we got the ceasar salad and baked clams. The baked clams were absolutely fantastic! The ceasar salad was mediocre. The red cabbage in the salad reminded me of one of those premade salads I can get at the grocery store. The ceasar dressing was not that flavorful. For dinner we got the chicken Milanese and the salmon. My friend really enjoyed the salmon. The chicken Milanese was good, I like the green beans added to the salad on top. My one critique would be it needed more dressing and to fry the cutlet a little less. The dessert was the showstopper. The cannolis were absolutely fantastic and flavorful and stuffed with just the right amount of cream. The espresso martinis were also delicious. Overall I would go back again and give it another chance with different items. The waitress was very kind as well as the manager who checked on us multiple times.

    Shrimp arrabiata
    Christina H.

New Italian restaurant in Bay Shore. Previously the Linwood. Ambiance is modern and fresh. For appetizer we ordered the shrimp arrabiata, generous portion with the perfect amount 5 jumbo shrimp, If you are a shrimp lover perfect choice. For drinks we ordered wine which was fresh. We were not sure what wine we wanted to order and they provided samples. Speaks to the service which was excellent! For main course we order the meatballs with spicy rigatoni and a side of burrata cheese. The meatballs were tender and well spiced. The spicy rigatoni was not spicy but tasted good. For dessert the lemon cheesecake was delicious, loved the unique touch of lemon on top. Will definitely be back!

I'll start off by saying that my wife and I came here on a Friday at the beginning of the summer to actually sit and have dinner, which turned out to be quite a tasty treat. The interior of FIV has a somewhat rustic/beachy vibe that works well for its Bay Shore location and feels at home on Long Island. It's got a nice bar and a decent seating area where we pulled up a table and were helped by the staff who were friendly and attentive. Besides the importance of good feels from the workers, the food and drink is where it might matter most and Fire Island Vines doesn't fall short of doing this. With a somewhat Mediterranean/Greek/Italian direction to their foods you'll find some delicious dips (spicy feta, hummus), savory chicken skewers, and crispy pizzettes which was just about everything we ordered. There's much more than that here and of course plenty of chances to wine while you dine. I instead ventured to the house sangria which was delightful while the wife had a concocted mocktail she really enjoyed. And, therein lies the biggest hint to why FIV will mean a lot more to us in just a few months as my wife and I are expecting our first child and the baby shower is planned for right here within these walls. So far all planning has been fantastic and owner Angelo has been very kind and accommodating. We're looking forward to our full festivities, but for now I'll wrap things up by saying this spot will be holding a special place in our hearts and so I wanted it to be my 1,000th review on Yelp to be even more memorable. With all that in mind (and trying not to get too sentimental on Yelp!), check out Fire Island Vines for some weekend dinner or an event and be ready for some greatness.

The servers are all well versed in the menu items, including the oyster selection, which is always a plus for me. Each time I've visited I ordered a few different oysters and have never been disappointed. You really cannot go wrong with what you order. The fritto misto appetizer is outstanding, perfect for 2-4 people. Also had to try the oysters Rockefeller which are always delicious. My first visit (NYE '26) they had octopus on their specials menu. I PRAY they bring it back because it was memorable, even 6 months later. My first visit I tried the barramundi which, at the time was a special menu item. It seems they added it to the Mains but with a different preparation. This time I tried the salmon which was excellent. If seafood's not your jam, they have plenty of menu items to choose from. In addition to the food, they also have great cocktails and a stellar looking happy hour menu I can't wait to try. I recommend making reservations, especially if you're visiting on a Friday or Saturday night. Both times I went here the restaurant was packed, particularly the bar area. My only real critique is that the restaurant gets a bit loud, making it a tad difficult to hear but it's also a sign that the place is doing consistently well.

However, the seating in my opinion is on a tight spaced sidewalk where people and cars pass you by. It was crowded and our waiter was fine. The food took way too long to come out. It was like they forgot our order. It was happy hour for clams so that could have played a part. However, others had received their food before us. When the food finally came, the oysters were sad. Such small oysters for a place that's on the coast and bases it menu off the ocean. Our tuna tartar tacos were great. Best I've ever had. The flavor is towards the bottom of the taco so take a big bite to get all that flavor. IMO this is a nice place. I would not make it a go to spot for their oysters. But I would return.

The flatbread is an absolute must-order, it was outstanding and easily the favorite dish of the night. The burrata and baked clams were also very good. For our entrees, my dad and I both ordered burgers. While they were flavorful, they were unfortunately overcooked. I ordered mine medium and my dad ordered medium-rare, but neither burger had any pink in the center. My wife ordered the Tuna Sliders from the appetizer menu and they weren't what she expected; she said she wouldn't order them again. My mother enjoyed the French Dip and thought it was very good from what I tried. Magnolias serves "cottage fries" instead of traditional French fries. They're essentially thick-cut fried potato slices--more like a hearty potato chip. While it's an interesting twist, I'm a French fry person and personally prefer traditional fries. My wife and I both ordered the truffle cottage fries, and they came out quite soggy, likely from sitting in too much oil. We mentioned it to our waitress, who agreed after seeing them and kindly removed them from the bill. Overall, Magnolias has a great atmosphere, excellent appetizers, and a unique setting that makes it worth visiting. While there were a few issues with some of our entrees and sides, I'd definitely return, especially for drinks and appetizers in the courtyard.

Our server appeared to be new, but she was incredibly patient, friendly, and genuinely trying her best. She handled every question with kindness, and I truly appreciated her attitude throughout the meal. The manager also made a great first impression by greeting us shortly after we were seated and even taking our drink order himself. At that point, I honestly thought we were in for a great experience. Unfortunately, things slowly began to unravel. A few items I ordered to accompany one of our pizzas didn't come out with the pizza itself, so by the time everything finally arrived, the pizza had gone cold. While frustrating, mistakes happen, and I didn't make an issue out of it. The bigger misunderstanding involved another pizza I ordered. I was trying to order a white Grandma pie after seeing a calzone listed with the option to make it on a Grandma crust. When it arrived, it had red sauce. The manager explained that the menu description included "Grandma sauce," which referred to red sauce. I hadn't realized that, and once he explained it, I understood where the misunderstanding came from. To his credit, he immediately offered to remake the pizza, which I appreciated. At that point, I considered the issue resolved. Unfortunately, the conversation didn't end there. While discussing the original pizza, the manager explained that it had ricotta cheese on it. My initial reaction was that I hadn't noticed any ricotta, but after he explained it, I acknowledged that perhaps I had simply missed it. From my perspective, the misunderstanding had been cleared up and the conversation was over. Instead, he looked at me and said: "Maybe you don't know the difference between mozzarella and ricotta cheese." That comment completely changed the experience. There is a big difference between explaining a menu item and making a personal remark toward a customer. By that point, I wasn't arguing. I wasn't asking for anything additional. I had already accepted the explanation and acknowledged that perhaps I had simply missed the ricotta. Rather than leaving it there, the conversation became increasingly confrontational. When I explained that I found the comment disrespectful, instead of trying to de-escalate the situation, the manager continued defending it by insisting that I had argued earlier. At that point, the discussion was no longer about the pizza... it had become an unnecessary debate with a customer who had already accepted the explanation. That was the moment we decided to leave. Mistakes happen. Orders get mixed up. Menu descriptions can create misunderstandings. None of those things determine whether I return to a restaurant. What determines that is how those situations are handled. A manager sets the tone for the entire restaurant. Their responsibility isn't just to resolve problems... it's to make guests feel heard, respected, and welcome, even when there's a misunderstanding. Unfortunately, that's where this experience fell apart. The food has always been good, which is why I've returned in the past. What I'll remember from this visit isn't the pizza or the misunderstanding over the menu. It's being spoken to in a way that felt dismissive and belittling after I had already accepted the explanation. Hospitality isn't measured by how a restaurant performs when everything goes perfectly. It's measured by how it treats people when something doesn't. Unfortunately, that's the lasting impression this visit left with me.
