Welcome Bar Lucy to Bayshore! It's beautifully renovated inside with an awesome bar and amazing cocktails are served. We were greeted and seated by the friendliest host who mentioned it is restaurant week. They have a special menu in place $46 (sorry forgot that photo). You have a choice of one appetizers, one entree and one dessert. We will start off about talking about the yummy appetizers four nice sized baked clams which were so flavorful and moist with a lemon drizzle. We had to order the ciabatta roll to dip of course. For dinner, we each had the lemon fettuccine with shrimp and thinly sliced asparagus which was a great choice for a lighter & fresh dinner option. Now let's get to the dessert, the flourless chocolate cake. All I can say is WOW! Hands down the best. This Chocolate was absolutely delicious moist, hot, decadent chocolate with pistachio sauce drizzled plate. OMG. The waitress Kelly did not steer us wrong everything we asked she was correct about. Visited for the first time the other night and had a mostly good experience. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Our server was friendly and got our drinks quickly. I was surprised that, for an Italian restaurant, they don't offer complimentary bread. Instead, they have a warm ciabatta appetizer for $6. It came with a ricotta dip which was only ok. There was no hot pepper spread. It was fine for two people, but a bit ridiculous if you're with a larger group. Would not recommend. For entrees, we tried the lemon fettuccine and the house pizza. The pasta was actually really good. The pizza, however, tasted a little off--almost artificial. I was expecting a more traditional brick oven style, so that was disappointing. For dessert, we shared the multicolored cake, which was basically a rainbow cookie cake--and it was delicious. The espresso martini was also a hit--strong, smooth, and not too sweet. Overall, I'd come back, but I'd be more mindful of the menu next time, especially when it comes to the pizza and bread offering. read more

Went there tonight with my wife for our anniversary. Let me tell we had a great time, great food and Kelly (our waitress) was on point. We frequent many restaurants in the Bayshore, Babylon and Patchogue areas, I would say this is right up there with the best of them. We started with the crispy fries shrimp and the baked stuffed clams which were both a nice amount and were spot on. Then we shared a grilled veal chop which was cooked perfect and a nice size. We ended it with an espresso and cannoli's. The place was very clean and decorated cozy, very friendly and inviting. From the host to the waitress and servers everyone was very accommodating. Let me start off by saying this happens to be me and my wife's favorite restaurant/ Bar in downtown bayshore. Clean friendly atmosphere. Stopped in for early lunch / drinks. Bartender/ wait staff & even the owner welcomed us in and made this experience top tier. We were the first ones to try their new lunch menu and was far from disappointed. Meat balls were packed with flavor and the gravy/ sauce was to on point. I think the owner has his nonna working in the back lol! food packed with authentic flavor. So last month, we went here for a date night around 6:30. We were seated far enough from the bass player (it was jazz night), and he wasn't too loud...it actually made the whole thing feel extremely romantic. The ambiance is a cocktail (no pun intended) of modern and traditional Italian. I loved the pictures on the wall, and the touch of matches on the hostess table when you walk in was such a nice detail. I got a cocktail and a glass of wine, both were very good. We started with the pizza, which was perfect because it had a thinner crust. We didn't finish it as an appetizer and brought a slice or two home, but it was a great palate cleanser for our meals. The menu had a nice balance of traditional and more diverse Italian options, which totally matched the vibe. Atmosphere was nice, loved the decor. Would have loved to hear some old school Italian music to match the vibe rather than Chappel Roan. The drinks were just okay. For appetizers we got the ceasar salad and baked clams. The baked clams were absolutely fantastic! The ceasar salad was mediocre. The red cabbage in the salad reminded me of one of those premade salads I can get at the grocery store. The ceasar dressing was not that flavorful. For dinner we got the chicken Milanese and the salmon. My friend really enjoyed the salmon. The chicken Milanese was good, I like the green beans added to the salad on top. My one critique would be it needed more dressing and to fry the cutlet a little less. The dessert was the showstopper. The cannolis were absolutely fantastic and flavorful and stuffed with just the right amount of cream. The espresso martinis were also delicious. For appetizer we ordered the shrimp arrabiata, generous portion with the perfect amount 5 jumbo shrimp, If you are a shrimp lover perfect choice. For drinks we ordered wine which was fresh. We were not sure what wine we wanted to order and they provided samples. Speaks to the service which was excellent! For main course we order the meatballs with spicy rigatoni and a side of burrata cheese. The meatballs were tender and well spiced. The spicy rigatoni was not spicy but tasted good. Walked in and was very impressed. We were seated right away. The acoustics was great and we were able to have a conversation without having to struggle to hear each other. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. The manager recommended a the Cavatelli which was outstanding. Came for dinner with two friends. We were seated in the side room, aka the Amalfi Coast Room, which is super cute and gorgeous. Our server was attentive and very kind. It wasn't too busy on a weeknight so food came out quickly. I had the mussels, the pasta fagioli, and brussel sprouts. The mussels were very tender and the red sauce was divine, with hints of the wine and garlic. The grilled bread was perfect for dipping into the sauce. The pasta fagioli was a HUGE portion, even though it was an appetizer! It was super hearty, also very flavorful, and the beans and pasta were cooked perfectly. Had a reservation for two at 6:15 PM and we get there and we had to wait close to 45 mins. The food was okay, however, I wouldn't say outstanding. My friend got the lemon fettuccine and said the taste of lemon was overpowering. The drinks were probably the best part. I would go back for drinks not necessarily the food. The service was great & the owner was nice to check on us, but the food and drinks were lackluster at best. The Prosecco was flat. The antipasto & pasta dishes were tiny for the price. Went last Thursday evening for dinner, 6 of us. We were mostly disappointed considering all the good reviews we read. First we were all freezing, no heat on although we requested it several times. There was no bread basket , salt & pepper or grated cheese on the table and were told we'd have to pay for bread...in an Italian restaurant! No bread given! A first for sure! Husband ordered chicken parmigiana..terrible, chicken was dry and very tough. Others ordered linguine with clam sauce, said it was over cooked pasta and a very small portion. Two ordered the Caesar salad instead of pasta and it had very wilted lettuce. I had the ricotta cavetelli bolognese, although a tasty sauce, it was shy of enough of the pasta. We didn't bother with dessert. However, I will give kudos to the waitress we had, she was very nice, friendly and efficient . Not sure we'll ever give it another chance. I came to Bar Lucy twice and sat at the bar. I had drinks and the octopus salad and fried mozzarella. All were great. The ambience is very nice. I love the decor although I read here it is bright but I adore the pictures on the wall and the red seating. It makes it fun and cozy. I came a third time and I am basing this review on that visit. I went to Bar Lucy for my daughter's birthday. They had a nice roomy table for us and was greeted by the fantastic, energetic and lovely server Kelly. She made the evening wonderful. Kelly provided a little surprise for my daughter's birthday which was thoughtful. For our food selections, we started with the octopus salad which I had before and enjoyed it. The octopus was cut into pieces which I liked. We also had the fried mozzarella (again) but it is so good. For entrees we had the ravioli (had spinach) and my birthday daughter enjoyed it very much. My other daughter had the chick parm with fusilli pasta as the side dish and the chicken was an enormous portion. I had the pasta bolognese with ricotta which I enjoyed very much (added red pepper flakes). The drinks were great and the prosecco was not flat (I read a review here stating theirs was). My daughter's chicken parm which she thought was great and is very particular about her food, she enjoyed it a lot. I had a taste of the chicken and it was divine! All the entrees were large portions so leftovers were taken home. They brought out the flourless chocolate cake and Kelly along with the owner, Drew and some other people including us sang happy birthday to my daughter which was sweet. It was a great time and my daughters loved the food and drinks (prosecco, dirty martini, spicy margarita) as much as I did plus the service was very attentive. I also thought the cost of our evening was reasonable. Kelly has a lot of fun energy, gave us our time so she didn't talk to us much but she did check in a lot to see if we needed anything. Drew checked in on us as well and talked to my daughter as they had something in common they were discussing and that was fine. It's definitely a cute place, very clean and crisp, the decor/art is fun and the bathrooms are nice too. The wall paper is so pretty and welcoming along with all the art.
