sister restaurant of grand banks and almost identical. Had a friends birthday here and it was really fun with the sunset for a large party. Wouldn't recommend eating here or a large variety of drinks but fun for what it is and the vibes are pretty cute.

Went here on a Sunday night for drinks after having dinner elsewhere. Got there probably 10:45 ...place was pretty busy w/people drinking & some eating burgers & wings. Bartender was GREAT!! OUR 1st time there since redone....gorgeous!!!! Great night there until probably 1:30? Definitely will be back & hopefully to try food....we had draft beers & a few drinks....bartender made a cocktail for one friend he never heard of but friend told him what was in it & tried it out...it was pretty close he said 9 out of 10 so I'd say a win win!!

Great spot in this area. Bartenders are friendly and well versed on cocktails, beer, and the food menu. Always has a nice atmosphere...live music, friendly locals, great food, and different spots to sit make this an awesome go to. And their wings are DEFINITELY the BEST in town. Crispy, just the right amount of sauce, and big too...way better wings here than at other spots in the area known for their wings...I've had a few other items from the menu and they have all been really good also. The reason they are only at 3 stars instead of 4 is because we waited a while for our wings and then the kitchen put the wrong sauce on them so they had to remake them...so now we had to wait even longer and it was just an "oh, sorry"...I think if you're running a kitchen and make a mistake where someone is waiting a ridiculously long time for something to be remade they should offer a drink, or discount the food...something...but nothing was offered so that's where I felt they lack a bit.

As mentioned they try to offer fresh, seasonal apps, handhelds, salads and entrees. The protein entree options only offer two to three chicken, pork, steak, seafood selections along with a couple of pasta infused dishes. They have a full bar, so if a beer or cocktail is wanted you do have options there as well. The Mr selected the Chilled Shrimp & Crab Stack, but eliminated the hard boiled egg aspect and thought it was light, tasty and refreshing. I opted for the Faroe Salmon with shrimp that came accompanied/on top of a risotto and peas. I thought cooked medium was perfect making it soft and fork flaky to mix along together. It was a very juicy sizable piece making it very filling. We didn't have time for a dessert, but noted they did have a few offerings there. Also noted they had very well kept mens/woman's and family restroom with baby changing table. Thanks! Would highly recommend this location to others.

Happy hour at the bar is from 12-7pm with the bar bites available after 4pm. The place is very nicely decorated and exudes an upscale but unpretentious vibe. I ordered a glass of the pinot noir which was tasty and at $6 a nice bargain. I got the chickpea fries and was surprised by the texture. It was almost custard like with a slight chickpea flavor in a very light breading. Served with the harissa aioli it made for a nice app. After a while I decided to try the Filet mignon sliders, which I ordered medium rare, the bartender said they don't usually take a temp on those but he'd note it. The meat is sliced very thin but was tender and still had a bit of red. The arugula gave it a nice peppery bite. My only critic is the slider roll was very cottony, but the overall taste was very good. I'll definitely be back and will try something off the regular menu.

There's actually a hilarious story behind why I went. I was originally supposed to have a date that night, but let's be real: you'd think a 61-year-old man would know better than to take a 47-year-old woman to Dave & Buster's. I canceled the night before, dolled myself up the day of, and decided to take myself out instead. Best decision ever. The joint is dimly lit. But your eyes wind up adjusting. It's got a great vibe. Definitely excellent for a date night. The bartenders here are absolute rockstars. I started with a Painkiller. Even though it's no longer on the menu, they whipped it up for me anyway--and hey, it definitely relieved my pain, lol! Next, I tried a Corpse Reviver just because it had absinthe in it. It was different, but I really enjoyed it. Naturally, I had to finish with my signature drink, a Cosmopolitan, because I am the Black Carrie Bradshaw of Long Island. And it did not disappoint. The eats: I got the charcuterie board--fancy and bougie, just like me--and wrapped up the night with the brownie à la mode for dessert. Drowning my troubles in sweets is a must when the Long Island dating pool is an absolute wasteland, lmao. Did I want to spend my night around teenagers, kids, and skee-ball? HELL NO! I wanted a grown-and-sexy speakeasy vibe, and Artemis delivered. 5/5 stars--would 100% recommend!

I really appreciate the gathering and dining with friends, it was wonderful seeing those that were present. Jackson Hall American Bar & Grill offered a casual and relaxed environment as well as a formal dining experience. We had stellar service today. We came for lobster rolls. Now, I have had lobster rolls before at a Manhattan location. They were two lobster rolls, small in size. But having a lobster roll, Let me reiterate, having one lobster roll at Jackson Hall American Bar & Grill left me with a new experience and a new perspective on what lobster rolls are. Can I talk about the Maryland Lobster & crab roll. This was one huge, I mean huge lobster roll that consisted of delicious sauteed Maine Lobster and Jumbo Lump Crab meat, poached in old bay garlic butter on a toasted roll. OMGoodnes very filling and D'licious, old bay fries was an bonus enhancer for this meal. The fries were just as tasty. I would be remiss if I did not mention the mussel pot. Absolutely D'licious. The juice, the toast, perfect combination, I can eat it as a main meal just as is! Andie, Pat, Joe P, and I devoured one pot while, Same Y, Mike S, Cathie P, and Gail B, consumed their pot. Driving an hour to get to Jackson Hall American Bar & Grill was worth driving - every second, every minute, every hour, (excuse me, I was in my Lionel Richie frame of mind) to hangout with 7 other friends, elite yelpers, priceless and there's no better place or reason to... The tacos were only $1 off the regular price, and they were the smallest tacos I've ever seen. Even with the discount, they still felt overpriced for the portion size. We ordered three carne asada tacos, one chicken taco, one al pastor taco, and the cotija fries. The food was just okay, nothing that stood out or made me want to come back. The service was also just okay. Our waitress wasn't very personable. I ordered the Island Rum Punch, and it was terrible. When I mentioned that it didn't taste right, she explained they were out of one of the liquors that normally goes into the drink. She never offered to replace it or let me choose something else. Instead, I ended up asking for more simple syrup just to make it somewhat drinkable. The entire experience felt mediocre and lackluster. Between the disappointing food, underwhelming service, and poorly handled drink issue, it just wasn't money well spent. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning to this establishment.

Whether you're looking to grab a drink, share some appetizers, or sit down for dinner, it's a great setting. I visited last week with my family, and the appetizers were definitely the highlight of the meal. We ordered the Magnolia Flatbread, Burrata, and Baked Clams. The flatbread is an absolute must-order, it was outstanding and easily the favorite dish of the night. The burrata and baked clams were also very good. For our entrees, my dad and I both ordered burgers. While they were flavorful, they were unfortunately overcooked. I ordered mine medium and my dad ordered medium-rare, but neither burger had any pink in the center. My wife ordered the Tuna Sliders from the appetizer menu and they weren't what she expected; she said she wouldn't order them again. My mother enjoyed the French Dip and thought it was very good from what I tried. Magnolias serves "cottage fries" instead of traditional French fries. They're essentially thick-cut fried potato slices--more like a hearty potato chip. While it's an interesting twist, I'm a French fry person and personally prefer traditional fries. My wife and I both ordered the truffle cottage fries, and they came out quite soggy, likely from sitting in too much oil. We mentioned it to our waitress, who agreed after seeing them and kindly removed them from the bill. Overall, Magnolias has a great atmosphere, excellent appetizers, and a unique setting that makes it worth visiting. While there were a few issues with some of our entrees and sides, I'd definitely return, especially for drinks and appetizers in the courtyard.
