We went to Ditch for lunch and really loved the beachy vibe of the place. For an appetizer, we got the fried pickles, and they were out of this world, honestly, they might have been the best fried pickles we've ever had! They were super crisp and came with a creamy horseradish dipping sauce that was absolutely delicious. For lunch, I got the taco platter with the roasted cauliflower, carne asada, and Beachfire chicken tacos. The Beachfire chicken had the perfect amount of spice, and the Gallo pinto on the side was super fresh and flavorful. My husband got the Korean chicken sammie, which was a great portion and had a spicy, tasty sauce. He also tried the pork belly taco, which he really enjoyed. The service was great and even had a QR code on the table to pay and order more in case you were in a time crunch. We'll definitely be back! We're already looking forward to coming back and trying some of their drinks next time. read more

I had high expectations for this restaurant, but unfortunately they fell flat. We stopped by for the Taco Tuesday special, but the deal wasn't much of a deal. The tacos were only $1 off the regular price, and they were the smallest tacos I've ever seen. Even with the discount, they still felt overpriced for the portion size. We ordered three carne asada tacos, one chicken taco, one al pastor taco, and the cotija fries. The food was just okay, nothing that stood out or made me want to come back. The service was also just okay. Our waitress wasn't very personable. I ordered the Island Rum Punch, and it was terrible. When I mentioned that it didn't taste right, she explained they were out of one of the liquors that normally goes into the drink. She never offered to replace it or let me choose something else. Instead, I ended up asking for more simple syrup just to make it somewhat drinkable. The entire experience felt mediocre and lackluster. Between the disappointing food, underwhelming service, and poorly handled drink issue, it just wasn't money well spent. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning to this establishment. read more

On Wednesday, I called to confirm my Yelp reservation. Laura was unable to locate it and had to create a new one. I asked if she could be our server that Friday. After I got the confirmation text, I joined their loyalty program. My good friend Cynthia found a spot in the parking lot across from Burnett's Marina - Bait & Tackle. We had a lunch reservation at Eat At Ditch to celebrate our birthdays. I asked to sit at a shaded table on the back patio because I liked the beachy vibes. Once seated, I told Laura about my food allergies and restrictions. She offered great suggestions and provided excellent service. Drink Ancho Average Marg - The margarita had a strong, delicious flavor and was served in a pineapple with a Tajín rim. Food Yuca Poppers Wings (bbq sauce) - Mmm, finger-licking goodness! Me: Seared Tuna Taco (no cilantro) - I ordered the Seared Tuna for the first time, and it will be my last. I didn't like the texture. Jerk Shrimp Taco (no pico de gallo and cilantro) - The chipotle aioli on the jerk shrimp with spicy slaw was incredibly flavorful. It was my favorite taco, so I ordered another. Baja Fish Taco (no pico de gallo and cilantro) - The crispy fish with lime crema and red cabbage was delicious. Cynthia: Seared Tuna Taco Beachfire Chicken Taco Jerk Shrimp Taco Carne Asada Taco Bookmark this spot to try! read more

Love the beachy vibe here! This place is dog friendly with convenient parking nearby in a gravel lot (across from Burnett's Marina - Bait & Tackle). Came here with a good friend to celebrate our birthdays and we opted for the back patio. Our server, Laura, was fantastic and even brought a bowl of water for my dog. ORDERED: DRINK: Ancho Average Marg - this margarita was strong but delicious. It's served in a pineapple with a Tajín rim. APPETIZERS: Yuca Poppers - it was delicious. Wings (bbq sauce) - it was delicious. ENTRÉE: Beachfire Chicken Taco - this is more for the flavor. I love the spiciness of this taco. The chicken was a bit on the drier side. Carne Asada Taco - the flavor and texture were very solid. Seared Tuna Taco - I really like the texture of this taco. Jerk Shrimp Taco - it was very flavorful and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. I've had this place bookmarked for a bit. Today I was in the area and had some time to kill. Figured I'd stop in for lunch! I opted to sit at the bar. Evan was the bartender and he was awesome. To drink I had "cool as a cucumber" which was delish and refreshing. It belongs at a pool bar! For my meal I went with the taco lunch special which included two tacos and choice of a few different salads or clam chowder. I decided on the jerk shrimp taco and the ahi tuna taco. I did this not realizing you can't mix-and-match for the lunch special, my error. Because I'm indecisive, I asked Eric to surprise me with either of them. To my surprise I was given both! Talk about pleasing the customer. Both tacos were really good! I loved the flavor that each one delivered. I also really liked that although it was corn tortillas, the tortillas were not doubled like corn tortillas typically are. The New England clam chowder was also great! Even though it was over 100° today, soup just felt right. Haha I would absolutely return! Food and service 5+ stars! read more

establishment OK, I can't even begin to tell you when an amazing experience we had when we came to your establishment today. The ditch in your Bayshore location as me and my bride. Robin entered the building it's Memorial Day and there was just a three top there so when we walked in, Joe was attending to the people at his top but when he saw us, he expertly expedite himself from them to come and greet us and welcome us to your establishment top shelf automatically we sat down. We were waiting for another couple to join us. We had a nice conversation with him and he gave us drinks at the bar explained we're waiting for another couple to come. He said no problem when they get there we'll take it through table and that's what he did. The other couple of rides we sent the table. Wonderful service came up spoke to us very very attentive went over the menu with us gave the specials was absolutely incredible. Then I realize that he was all alone in the bar, not only was attending to us. He was only also attending to the other top plus, he was the bartender and the waiter and whoever was working in the back though your kitchen also wonderful then the place lit up there was a table of four came in another table of two and another top of two. This kid didn't even flinch. Continue to take care of every one of us very attentive and then the doors open up he had about 25 people altogether came in and came up to the bar. This kid did not flinch. He took care of them still attentive to us taking care of that baby at the bar, he put a high chair from this kid, amazingly took care of the whole bar and the dining room by himself. I am saying this to you because I am I am was previously a borrower in many many years I own two bus I have never seen one guy take care of a place of drinks, bar table tops food, greetings hospitality. You have a gem with this guy Joe I offered to help him as much as I could cause I saw that you know it was just overwhelming. He said I will take care of everything as his quote to me. I got you I said if you need me, I'm right here because I've seen it before this kid took care of a full bar too deep I might say also six tables of average three to table and just made your place run amazing so my advice is this when you find the guy like Joe you hold onto this kid like Grimm death and don't let go employees like a guy like Joe a few and far between you would do your company and yourself a service to make sure that you hold onto him and make him happy and keep him with you because there was never I've never seen a better ambassador for any place that I've gone to then watching this kid work today again I'm a bar owner. I've been a restaurant business. I'm a chef and I have never seen one kid run a place like that kudos to him. Kudos to you for hiring them and kudos to you if you hold onto it again unbelievable great experience. I will recommend your place. I will recommend to my friends as I had that my friends called to stay today. I will continue to do so as long as you continue to have people like Joe work for you. Great job all around. You got a little hidden gem there and they should make sure people know about it thank you very much. Me and my bride and my friends enjoyed your at your place and it was above and beyond excellent service and experience read more

Came with a few friends about a month ago on a weekday evening. When we first arrive, there was another table but for the majority of the evening we were the only ones. Our waitress was super nice and ordering was quick and efficient but it took forever to get our food (about an hour) and every single one of our orders were incorrect (either incorrect types of tacos or just missing tacos). My friend who is lactose-intolerant and post-partum ordered a salad and when all the food came out, there was no salad. We had to ask for the salad so it then took even more time for her to get her food. The food itself was fine, but really sullied by the logistical errors. At the end, the odd thing was that the bill had all the correct orders, I guess the kitchen just executed poorly? We then had to tell the waitress to adjust our bill because things were wrong and she tried her best, but I think we were still overbilled and at the end, we just wanted to leave. Hope this was just a one-off night for them. read more

absolutely love this spot! Came here in the summer, and came again in the winter and vibes are always a 10 out of 10! Obviously the summer the vibes are amazing but in the winter it was just as fun! The food is delicious! And the drinks are great! I got watermelon mocktails , which are so delicious and refreshing. definitely make your way here! And you don't have to wait for the summer to get here, they are opening year-round for great food and good vibes! read more

to say I was disappointed in my meal tonight is an understatement. I've been here when they first opened quite a few times. Haven't been here in about a year. I ordered the coconut cod over rice and salad. The cod was too wet for me. I sent it back it came back still wet. The salad was completely drenched and lemon. It was disgusting. My waitress did ask if I want something else which I did not didn't discount or comp a glass of wine, taking our plates off the table. It was clear I hadn't eaten my meal I will never ever ever go back and I will absolutely tell my friends about this experience. It was so good when they first opened I have no clue what happened so very disappointed Oh, but they gave me a free taco for next time read more

Just ok - not a place I need to visit twice - the staff was friendly and attentive - everything just seemed disorganized - they had a margarita event going on in the back, so maybe that was the reason. The food was just ok - it's for sure a locals spot. read more

This is an update to my original review. Shaving 1 star off. Food: 2/5 - I had 5 tacos. They were not cooked well. They had too much sauce on them and were just sloppy on the plate. Service: 4/5 - No issues. Waitress was attentive and friendly. Ambiance: 5/5 - Nice sized and has a good feel to it. Bright and cheery. Cleanliness: 2/5 - No issues in dining area. Bathrooms could use some repair. When you leave bathrooms you can see into the kitchen which were not clean. Chefs were not wearing hats. Parking: 3/5 - The big bumpy dirt lot they had looks closed. Now their is a flat lot on the right side which is better to park in. Value: 3/5 - Taco Tuesdays is a good deal if the food comes out right. Overall: 3/5 - On this visit, the food was not as good as it was on my first visit. The quality notably slipped. I may not return. read more

Food is fantastic but prices are outrageous. We'd love to go back but the pricing makes it tough for it to be a "regular" spot.

My birthday treat from a friend brought us to Drift. I had made a reservation a few days prior. (On a side note, when I called, the man who picked up just said, "Hello." I had to ask if I had the right number and was calling Drift.) Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted. There was a band playing and it was quite crowded and for the next two hours, we proceeded to scream over each other to hear. Our waitress never said her name. Or maybe she did. Couldn't hear a thing. But what I do know is that the tables on either side of us were seated after us, had their drink and food orders taken before us, received their food and drinks before us, and were constantly communicated with throughout their meals. Not us. The waitress was frazzled and didn't really care about us. An extensive drink menu which made me want to order one of each, I settled on the Sunburnt Summer which as you can see wasn't exactly filled to the rim but it was tasty. The appetizer we chose was Esquites. Warm and bubbly and delicious with crispy-what-appeared-to-be homemade chips. I had the Korean Chicken Sammy. Just the right amount of heat. I would go back but not at night and would hope I don't get the same waitress. I'd like to give Drift a 3.5 because of the service but alas.... a four it is. read more

We love this place! It was super busy but that's to be expected for a Saturday evening, especially with seafest going on nearby. The staff was super welcoming and we decided to sit at the bar so we could really enjoy the ambiance. The bartender was awesome! He greeted us right away and gave us some really great recommendations. We got some calamari to start and a couple sunburnt summer cocktails which were so refreshing after walking around all day. The bartender was super attentive and made great conversation with us about the area being that we were all relatively new to town. Overall 10/10 experience and we will definitely be back. I called restaurant to make reservation for my daughters birthday for 8 people. The reservation was taken over the phone, then I received a text from Toast, the payment platform that the restaurant uses that I needed to make a $25.00 deposit to hold this reservation, which I did. I forgot to check bill when we were at restaurant and noticed later I was not credited the reservation deposit. I reached out to restaurant on their contact form on their website, no reply, I went to restaurant and spoke to waitress and she said she had never heard of a deposit on a reservation and she would speak to management. I left my name, phone number and email and no one replied. I reached out a third time on the website contact with my phone number and email and no one has replied. I tried contacting Toast, but they only deal with the restaurant and said I needed to contact Ditch. I don't know if other people have had this experience, but I will not return to that restaurant for not showing any concern for the customer at all. I spent over $300 that day and no one even reached out. The food was ok, they were out of a lot of things we wanted to order. The dinner was on June 21 and it is now August 8 and crickets. The worst part is, when we got to the restaurant, there were only 2 other tables occupied, so I didn't even need a reservation, but that was where my daughter wanted to go for her birthday, so I made the reservation to guarantee we would get a table, I will not be going back there. read more

Our first time at Ditch and we already cannot wait to go back! We came in on a Friday night and sat at the bar. There was a one man band playing acoustic music, he asked if we had any recommendations and played our song right away! He played soft rock and a ton of country. His voice was amazing and it definitely set the mood. The restaurant is pristine inside. Started with margs and apps. The margs were strong and delicious, you could tell they were made with fresh ingredients! The sesame duck wings were tender and delish. Not pictured were the yucca poppers, we devoured them before snapping a pic. Mouthwatering!! Can't wait to come back and indulge in dinner next time. Ended with espresso martinis. Our bartender was awesome. Quick with refills, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu! Not to mention he makes a mean margarita! This may just become our new happy hour spot! read more

A really nice meal and experience at Ditch. A solid 4. Service was excellent, shout out to our server Taylor. A really nice drink and beer menu. Spicy Margarita is very good! For apps we had fried cauliflower with a Tai type sauce, was very nice and tasty served on a bed of field greens, we would order this again. We had a bowl of clam chowder which seemed house made and was quite good. We also had a Cesar Salad which was good enough to come back just for a Chicken Cesar power lunch. We also had the sushi quality seared tuna over couscous. Delicious and fresh! They have a nice bar and out door area. The main inside dining room is a bit on the small side but they have done well with utilizing available space without making the room crowded. The bar would be a great place to have a meal and watch a game. We recommend and will return. Next time Im going to try the yuca app, sounds delicious! Good luck to Ditch! read more

Had a nice time at ditch. Medium sized restaurant so the crowds dont get to crazy and they have bar, indoor table and outside table seating. Theyve got a pretty extensive menu, salads tacos sandwiches poke and some other bowls. It might be a little too many options tbh but what I had was pretty good. We started off with the fried calamari and the fried yuca. Both were nice. Calamari was pretty standard and the fried yuca was a nice mix of salty and sweet. I had the watermelon salad and a carne asado taco as my entree. I liked the watermelon salad alot. It was refreshing. The taco was alright. They serve them cali style, super fresh on housemade corn tortillas, but on the smaller side. Here's the thing. In cali the tacos are like $2 or $3 bucks not $5 or $6 and all the tacos at our table were super cold. Everything came out at once some Im assuming they prepared them in the wrong order and some dishes ended up getting cold. Perhaps the brightest spot was the cocktails. Theyve got really good and pretty well priced (odd prices like $12.55 tho) drinks. We all really like them. read more

We stopped in after a day at Robert Moses . We were surprised to see this was at the site of a prior restaurant Lalas which we also enjoyed some time ago. Interior was light bright and casual. It is off season so crowd was light but this will likely change with the weather. There were a few hiccups because of a bridal shower earlier in the day. They were out of red wine! It did make us wonder aren't there any nearby liquor stores to buy a few bottles to tide over your Sunday crowd? Aside from that we enjoyed a meal of a calamari appetizer and some tacos. The calamari was very fresh and more than enough for two to four people. We also tried four of the tacos (carnita, carne, fresh Baja fish and tuna.) All were $6 each. All had fresh ingredients and a variety of seasonings We will be back to take a deeper dive soon. read more

Service - good Place - nice lighting and cute decor, music choice was horrible, disco type and annoying Food- too salty and a bit cheap on the ingredients The beach kabobs were good, but too salty and they are cheaping out with the amount of shrimp. There were 2 on a stick and it would have been nice if there were 3 on a stick. Plus make the veggies chunky instead of slivers. Again cheaping out. The maverick burger was good. The drink- a margarita, was a hair weak, use a full shot, we can notice. Proper portions makes for good word of mouth and you'll have lines out the door. read more

Came here on a gorgeous mid week day for lunch. Tip: If you check in, you get a free Yucca popper appetizer. This is a shareable size. It's basically a yucca mash, formed into a ball and lightly fried. It's served on a generous bed of mashed avocado and spicy mayo. It's a good combo. And amazing for free! I got the 2 taco and salad lunch special. The tacos are tiny.. the tortilla had maybe a 3"diameter... the fish taco had a single piece of fish on it, that was 1"×1", and mostly breading. The poco and sour cream were good. The tortilla is corn and homemade. It was good, just tiny. The pork belly taco had more meat.. about the size of a generous bao bun... good sauce... tasted like a bao bun, but in a tortilla instead... The salad, part of the combo, came also in a small bowl but packed. I opted for the spinach chick pea feta salad. There were 4 chickpeas, and it was drenched in oil... that overwhelmed the salad. The spicy margarita was good! Service was good. The ambiance was beachy and relaxed. Good music, good place to hang out. read more

Me and my friend ordered a painkiller and what we got was mostly jailhouse orange juice and a half of shot of rum lmaoooo. Next we ordered the cauliflower app. They were OK but they really needed a dipping sauce which they didn't come with. We then decided to call over the waitress and get the bill and leave. While we were waiting for the bill to come a girl came over to clean the glass doors and once again we were hit with a horrible overwhelming sent of glass cleaner.
