We've been to Harp and Hound several times in the last year and are never disappointed. Typically we sit in the outdoor dining area but it was too cold to do that tonight. We would have sat in the main dining room but there was a private group in there so we sat at the bar. So glad we did. Our server / bartender Nicole welcomed us immediately and took our drink orders. My wife had a Moscow Mule and I had an IPA. My wife said her mule was perfect! The beer was good and the taps are obviously well maintained. We each ordered burgers and shared an order of onion rings. Our burgers came perfectly prepared (rare) and the fries were crispy and delicious. The onion rings were a huge portion and were equally good. For what we ordered the bill was more than reasonable, the food great for bar food and our server, Nicole, was outstanding. First time back since they reopened after the fire. Not that much has changed, though the floor is better and there are more TV's on the wall behind the bar. I went for Wednesday Boozy Bingo. I arrived at approx 6:15pm and the place was packed but I managed to find a spot at the bar. Was served my drink quickly and given menus. There was an extensive specials menu with a few interesting choices, including :COLOSSAL SWEET AND SPICY CUBAN Bring your appetite!! Slow-braised mojo pork shoulder, grilled smoked ham, melted swiss/gruyere, Grey poupon mayo, sweet pickle-cherry pepper relish and dill pickles on pressed Cuban bread. Served with a warm mojo dipping broth and Hound fries JACK DANIELS RIBEYE SANDWICH Herb butter brushed sourdough, grilled ribeye, melted gruyere cheese, arugula and sauteed mushrooms and onions in a Jack Daniel's sauce. Served with Hound fries BLACK AND BLUE PASTRAMI Toasted marble rye, melted blue cheese, sliced pastrami. pastrami rub aioli and tangy pickled red cabbage. Served with Hound fries LOBSTER TRAP Creamy lobster mac and cheese finished with toasted old bay panko. Topped with a double smash burger on a toasted brioche bun, candied bacon, sharp cheddar, pickled red onions and an Old Bay roasted garlic aioli. Crispy onions and scallions I chose the Cuban and when they say Colossal they meant it. It could easily feed 2 even 3 people. The pork was outstanding, the ham a bit overcooked and warning the cherry pepper relish has a real kick so if you're not into spicy be ware. The fries were shoestring with their signature seasoning blend. I took home more then half. Once the bingo started it cleared out a bit but still busy. I hope some they put some of the other specials back on the menu as I'd like to try all of the above. read more

Terrific pub style food - just get out early if you're not into the bar scene. Wifey and I were invited to join some friends here for birthday drinks and decided to do dinner beforehand. It was a good choice in the end, everything we had was fantastic. Delicious Bavarian pretzel with one of the better cheese sauces I've had in a while, expertly prepared fish & chips for my main, and wifey loved her French dip. As the dinner service wound down it truly became a full on bar, crowded and loud. That's ok, just something to be aware of if you're expecting a quiet dinner because later in the evening this isn't the place. My buddy recommend these blue cheese crusted wings with buffalo dipping sauce. I don't know what they're called but at work I dubbed them "reverse buffalo wings", very enjoyable. I have not been to the Harp & Hound because it's not very close to where I live but I'll definitely have to pay them a visit, only a beer & sports on tv at the bar could make these wings better. From the pictures I believe I've been here a long time ago under different ownership but I'll definitely have to plan a Sunday football trip here & Uber home. read more

The food was great! We started with the steak and 3 cheese potato skins... *chefs kiss* delicious. The potato had a nice crunch, not soggy, and a nice portion of steak on it. We both got sandwiches, the French dip and the steak, fig and Brie. The SFB was awesome. The fig balanced really well with the brie, fried onions, and steak. Will be my go to. The fries are the good fries you can only get at certain places; super crispy on the outside but still soft inside. Great vibe and all around good place for dinner and drinks. read more

A few of us went for the boozy bingo (first time there). When we arrived, we asked about bingo and one of the workers stated we needed a table and to "talk to her over there". Was confused as to who because we saw a young lady with an oversized hoodie on, didn't realized she worked there. I did and she asked if we had a reservation because we should. I said no because the event on FB did not state we needed one. Then she stated we can either sit at bar or outside. Although there were a few empty tables, some had "Reserved" on it and others did not so that left us in confusion. Then she walked away. Then we spoke to someone else and they stated we needed to speak to the hostess (same person we just spoke with-didn't know she was hostess). I asked her for seating and she talked down to me stating "I just spoke with you and told you bar or outside". She she wasn't being nice at all in her tone and the way she was speaking to us, I looked at the bar and stated "well since the bar is obviously full, we have to go outside". She wasn't very nice about the process of getting us our table. Just put our stuff down on table and left, said nothing and was not pleasant at all. Considering we have never been there before (which we stated), I guess we expected at least some professionalism and politeness. Needless to say we were not happy with her. Bingo was just OK. Played bingo in other places and they were much better so needless to say, that will be our last time going to this establishment. read more

Tried Harp & Hound for the first time & I'm glad I did. The first plus is that they do have a parking lot that connects to their outdoor seating area. Inside they have a large bright dining area which is separated by glass doors from the large spacious bar area. The bar area does have several high top tables. The night I was there they had a band who were really good. The server was really nice & attentive but not overbearing. Originally, my intention was to order their fish & chips but decided to ask the server what she recommended, she suggested the steak tidbits with mozzarella & blue cheese which was totally opposite of what I was thinking but I went with it even though I wasn't a big blue cheese fan but it was put on the side for dipping. I also ordered a side of onion rings. Both were really delicious & yes, even the creamy blue cheese. Now I need to go back to try their fish & chips. I had a delicious wrap here for lunch! I ordered delivery via DoorDash. I ordered the shrimp and avocado wrap. It consisted of Sautéed shrimp, melted swiss, avocado, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato and ranch dressing in a flour tortilla. I ordered without Swiss cheese. It was absolutely delish. Nice huge pieces of shrimp, and as the menu stated "crispy" bacon. Each bite I took I had a bite of everything. The balance within the wrap was the perfect ratio of each item. While I like my fries crispy, these fries weren't, but they were still delish. Seasoned well, and not overbearing. Very nice flavors all around. The wrap was super filling as well. read more

My bf and I went once and I always loved the vibe and the Photo Booth but unfortunately we never made it back in over a year. This time I brought my (hard to please, picky) 72 year old mother. WELL...the food...the drinks...the wine...the recommendations..:the over extending from the owners- everything was great. The wine, whic the owner (John) suggested was SO good. SO good- that we took a picture of the bottle. Again, the ambiance of this place alone is a reason to visit...it was eclectic- yet gorgeous. go, go, go! (I asked for blue cheese but they didn't have it....the owner didn't skip a beat -he said "I'll make some" Needless to say it was so good we asked for more haha. Came for happy hour with some friends before the knit & sips event. This was my first time here, doesn't look like it was renovated at all since the lily days. We sat at the bar and ordered the pineapple jalapeño boneless wings, mozzarella sticks, buffalo tempura cauliflower, loaded pretzel and sweet chili boneless wings and all got Tito's and seltzer to drink. Both wings were amazing, very tasty & not heavy at all. The pineapple jalapeño was such a unique flavor with a mix of sweet and spicy. Pretzel was a little salty but came with a good dipping sauce. The mozzarella sticks and cauliflower were also tasty and not dredged in oil...only $8 for happy hour but would not say they're worth the regular menu price of almost $15 tho. Bartender wasn't that friendly or attentive but the event was a great time with great hosts on the outdoor patio. Also got a cosmo for the event which was on point. We had fun. Attended a catered party and everything was great. Seating indoors and outside - food was delicious and varied. Chicken Frances's, Salmon, veggies and potatoes, Caesar salad, bread with beer and wine and soft drinks was served. All delicious. The waitress Katie was right on it offering refills on drinks and making sure the food was enough. It made the occasion really nice and relaxing for all. Would totally recommend. Food had great options however, I was not provided great service. Paul the Bartender was busy which is a good thing, but I noticed he was charging only patrons he didn't seem to know personally. Paul told multiple customers to leave the Restaurant since he refused to serve someone waiting patiently, so clearly something rubbed him the wrong way. Anyone who tried to order a drink that was standing next to someone Paul refused to serve, were also asked to leave with foul language. I will never come back to a place where a disrespectful bartender makes his own rules and pockets money from whomever he sees fit. It is unethical and nothing like this goes on at Lily Flanagan's which if I'm not mistaken, is connected to Harp and hound via Ownership. lastly, due to the foul language by the bartender, a fight broke out in the bar and he jumped over the bar leaving college kids to reach for the Taps...and then Paul laid his hands on a patron and threw him to the ground outside. A friend of mine went into the restaurant since that fight and found a trophy hat that Paul hung on the wall proud to beat up a customer. It must have been the hat that the patron was wearing. wish I had more positive feedback, but unfortunately, when things become physical, it leads me to believe the bartenders are also drinking behind the bar and decisions like this can cause somebody to be extremely hurt. for people looking for safety stay away from the picture below which is the Bartender Paul. read more

Four stars for fantastic food and friendly service. The atmosphere is not getting any stars, but hey, I'm old. Big and loud. Crowded, noisy bar area, at least 1,764 TVs, canned mediocre music blasting. We'd probably have chosen to sit on the patio but it was the domain of several loud families with free range kids. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I will repeat that the food and service were so good that nothing else will keep me from returning. read more

I had the fish and chips (with French fries instead of the "chips" that ordinarily come with the Fish n' Chips, which are basically steak fries). The fish was cooked perfectly. The fish was moist and the batter was nice. It came with a brown curry sauce which was tasty but I went with the tartar sauce. I would absolutely come back to try other things. The food coming out of the kitchen was looking and smelling really good. Great to have H&H in the neighborhood. I would definitely recommend for the food. Service was very good too. We also had the Rueben pops which were sweet but good too! The kids many had many choices including grilled chicken and homemade Mac and cheese! Soo happy it wasn't from a box! My kids devoured their Mac n cheese and their burger! We had the potato soup and French onion which were full and flavor! The shepherds pie stole the show but the "Amanda" wrap and the Rueben were also sooo good. The fries were the talk of the table so much flavor and for the best part EVERYTHING was piping hot and made fresh!!! The limerick mule was delicious and unique. Came in for lunch and the smell of beer and fried food really gets you hard. We chose to sit outside. There was only one waiter so it took a while to get some help but we ordered and the food came out pretty fast. I got the burger medium it was completely over done and dry.
