Tuna Tar Tar. Sooooo good
Steve R.

What a great local tavern right in Bayshore (Brighwaters). Met friends by the bar for drinks and then go s table and had the most delicious dinner ! Started off with the Tuna Tar Tar app which was delicious then shared a strip steak with my girlfriend it came with garlic Mashed potatoes, the potatoes would probably the best garlic mashed potatoes I've ever had no joke. The steak was cooked perfectly. I cannot wait to return to Henley's. It was busy when I went on a Sat evening for good reason ! Great food , great selection of Bourbon and scotch as well A++++++

Love love love Henley's! Tiny spot in Brightwaters that's always packed at the bar and tables. I usually sit at the bar for apps and drinks. All the bartenders are very friendly and make fantastic drinks. They switch their menu up pretty often and the food specials are always good. Came here Thursday night and had the cheeseburger egg rolls and beet salad both were delish! John was behind the bar and slammed but managed to handle everyone with ease. Made a great French martini and Moscow mule. The place is very clean especially the restrooms. That is very important to us ladies. 5 star spot.

Such a cute little village bar. Loaded potato soup was good for the soul. And the tacos were delish. The place was super busy but the staff was very attentive. Highly recommend stopping in

French Dip Sliders

Something for everyone on the menu! Lovely bar area. Bartenders were very attentive. Did not have to wait on a drink. Tacos were tasty but lost a star because there are only two in an order, and at $19, felt that $9.50 a taco was excessive. Ingredients were fresh! Great flavor. My husband enjoyed his sliders and commented on the generous portion of roast beef in each one. We would definitely go back. Dying to try veggie flatbread and cheesy cauliflower dip.

Henley's THE VILLAGE BURGER*

We've eaten takeout from Henley's twice now during quarantine and it has been phenomenal both times. I did curb side pick up and the employee was kind enough to put it right in my passenger side when I drove up. Couldn't have gone any smoother. I love how the food changes daily based on what fresh ingredients they have. So far we've had the Henley's Village Burger, Roast Chicken Wrap and fries. The wrap had a deliciously refreshing cilantro crema in it that made me wish I ordered two. The hubby loved his burger, both times were cooked exactly to his liking. Once this is all over we'd love to sit and eat inside, the atmosphere looks perfect for a laid back date night.

Cajun Shrimp Tacos

Wow, this place was delicious. Decided to go out on a Wednesday for dinner, and we almost couldn't get a seat. This place was packed, it was only around 530-6p, and there were other reservations coming in and out as we sat. It's not the biggest place, but it's nicely decorated and the also have seating outside. The menu had an incredible amount of great choices, it's was actually hard to settle on the option. We wound up trying both tacos, the brisket and the Cajun shrimp. Simply delicious, the brisket was 5/5 and the shrimp was 4/5. For dinner we split the eggplant wrap, which was light and fresh. The French fries were some of the best I've had in a while as well. Unfortunately, we didn't get a picture of that meal because we couldn't wait to eat it. We will definitely be going back, there was so much more we wanted to try. I really think this is going to be our new "go to" spot.

The Brixton is a beautiful restaurant with very relaxed and casual vibes. The word around town is that their drinks are awesome. What about their food, though? They originally would not seat us in the middle of the afternoon because most of the empty tables were reserved. We had to request to sit outside, which was empty, before they decided to serve us. Odd that they did not even offer that to us. The General Tso' Cauliflower was the only great thing served to us. It is incredibly crispy and flavorful. You almost forgot that you were eating a piece of vegetable at times. The Short Rib Brisket Sesame burger was shocking. $18 for two White Castles-sized sliders. It was easily consumed, and I was left much to be desired. This is most definitely an appetizer item, not an entree. The Chicken Waffle was good. Nicely deep-fried and packs a lot of flavor. The waffle looked dubious. If I had to guess, it might not be mad fresh to order. Essentially, it's 3 drumsticks/wings over a possibly frozen Eggo waffle. I would recommend a second dish if you are looking to get full. The Steak frites and Eggs Benedict were the final dishes served. It is hard to mess these dishes up, but the ribeye was nicely seasoned and cut up. The dishes were nicely displayed. Overall, this is just an OK experience. When the deep-fried cauliflower appetizer is the most memorable dish here, it is quite alarming. Portion sizes are on the small end, and none of the flavors for the entrees really stuck out. Perhaps I will come here strictly for the drinks next time.

Cozy but not cramped, cute little spot that's great for Summer relaxed vibes and munchies. They're specialized in Latino food and drink. They apparently have a whole flight of Margaritas and/or Mojitos to sample - I'd love to try one sometime, however yesterday I stuck with a regular Margarita and was pretty pleased. Clearly made in-house, none of the store-bought drink mixes or anything involved. My mom and I split a few appetizers between the two of us and were quite full, even had some food to bring home. Went with the birria tacos (solid), a trio of other tacos (steak + chicken + pork), and a plate of fried plantains with beef and mushrooms that was really fun - first time we'd had that, glad the waitress talked us into it. Everything came with home-made guac as well. They have a full bar with quite the selection of drinks, lots of Happy Hour specials up on the walls, and a solid, straightforward menu of additional appetizers and also burgers and sandwiches. The staff are super nice and upbeat. My Ma was buying, and I believe she spent about $85 for 3+ appetizers and a drink. Not exactly cheap but it you think of it more as a filling and fairly tasty lunch for 2, roughly $40 each - it's not bad at all. Will definitely come back and give that flight of Margs a try!

They have some interesting flavor margarita options so we thought we would try them. The lychee tasted nothing like lychee and the tequila understandably was prolly house but It just tasted like cheap house tequila. The white peach was decent. The apps were okay. The shrimp was not what I expected but it was crispity and we enjoyed the sauce. You can never go wrong with a pretzel. The buffalo chicken lettuce boats(not pictured). The lettuce didn't really work as a boat and it seemed like there were more crispy onions than chicken. The bar area was cute and they have a separate dining space that could be good for some kind of event. Our waitress was nice. Overall it was okay. Nachos: Picture this. You're sitting with your closest friends on a perfectly youthful Thursday…read morenight, because you just couldn't wait for the weekend to begin. You're playing some ridiculous game you made up in an instant, and your laughter echoes through the bar, along with the strangers voices and the blaring music. You walk up to the bar, where a mirror stretches across the wall behind the bartenders, and you catch yourself in it, along with a few lingering eyes. You laugh at the audacity of youth, the absurdity of it, and look at yourself a little longer. You're young. Your hair's long, your eyes are dark, your cheeks and nose are red from the cold outside that has settled into your bones. You zone out at any reflection you catch yourself in, because you can feel the time passing. The bartender finally makes their way to you, and you order a plate of nachos that makes its way to your table on its own. There are so many hands reaching in, and you don't even notice when the table started overflowing with new and old friends. You take the first bite, and suddenly you're gutted. They taste incredible, perfectly flavorful. You have no idea where the feeling comes from. It's mushrooms and salsa, perfectly salted. It's relief and familiarity all at once, like the spark of something new that feels good because it's familiar, like it was waiting for you too. You close your eyes and melt into its warmth immediately. You open your eyes and suddenly, everything around you starts to move. Winter coats pile up on the hooks by the door, then disappear into spring. The patio opens with local indie bands, then closes with the sun coming up. The stool beside you fills up with the Irish guy you had the most awkward first date with that you counted the minutes. Months later you run into him again, and you laugh about it together until your stomach hurts. At the table near the windows, a girl you barely knew raises her voice at you over something out of your control, and you realize you don't want this. You cut her off, and she disappears from her seat. You see yourself passing through time in every corner of the bar. Old friends fade into the back of the mirror, and new ones take their seats in the same booths, laughing at the same jokes. The eyes around you linger as they pass. A guy at the end of the bar looks up every time you laugh. Someone holds your gaze in the mirror a beat too long, then looks down at his drink. You notice every one of them and hold on to none, because you can't seem to stay in the moment. Everything is already passing by while you're still standing in it. "SO?! What are you going to rate them?!" says your new friend sitting beside you, who just found out you write these ridiculous reviews for fun. You realize you seek out nachos the way you seek out love. It's a deep, familiar desire. You keep chasing the first bite that made you feel like this. He's waiting for your answer with a big smile on his face. Your hair's still long. Your cheeks are still red. Nothing has changed, but somehow, everything has. "Five," you say. "Five out of five." All else: I've said enough. This bar is my safe space and happy place. The bartenders are heaven-sent. P.S. I was listening to Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol writing this, hence the drama.
