The new owner is a phenomenal person and a genuine pillar of the local restaurant community. What stood out immediately was how much the staff clearly respected the previous owner and how seamlessly that warmth has carried over into this new chapter. Big things are coming here and the upward trajectory is going to be something special. One thing's for certain: you will not leave hungry. The burgers were not only delicious but generously sized, and the fries stole the show perfectly seasoned with that satisfying crunch you hope for but don't always get. Our group is still exploring the menu from sandwiches to pasta, but every dish delivered. The atmosphere made the whole experience even better. With televisions covering every angle of the room, it was the perfect spot to catch World Cup matches and we caught them all. Belfast Pub in Lindenhurst is finding its stride and we'll definitely be back to see where it goes. read more

Amazing place! The staff were very friendly and kind-- their service and hospitality helped me get back on the rails to NYC. Great vibe. Food was excellent, large portions during happy hour. Well made and good quality-- delicious! 10/10, for a restaurant I visited just because of its proximity to the train, this was a great surprise. read more

Belfast is a charming Lindenhurst local pub/restaurant serving up a tasty selection of new age and traditional Irish American foodie favorites. The service has always been top notch whether your sitting barside or at one of their tables inside the restaurant or heated/open patio side. They offer an array of traditional mainstream domestic beers, local brewery beer, as well as a few of your Irish classic brands. Whether you opt for a tasty liquor cocktail or a draft/bottled beer you won't be disappointed. On the food side of things they offer classic pub style appetizers, salads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers and an assortment of larger entrées. Fan favorites apps are their calamari, onion rings and flatbreads. On the Main entrée side you can always opt for a traditional Cornbeef, Pastrami Rebun, Short Rib platter or one of their customized sandwich melts. Can't say much about dessert since the meals are more than enough for me, but I'm sure they are just as delectable. This local restaurant is a hometown favorite for many for a reason, they are good at satisfying just about any craving. Jump in and explore the menu! read more

I was lucky enough to win a $50 giftcard to this restaurant on Instagram in September and finally got a chance to use it last night. When we arrived ahead of our reservation the restaurant had a few tables filled and the entire bar was full. We opted to sit on the heated patio which was very warm and nice. There also was live music and it was lovely. Our waitress was amazing from start to finish. I ordered the Irish Old Fashioned to start and my husband got the cider on draft. I ended up not liking my drink and she was so accommodating swapping my drink for one she recommended that I thoroughly enjoyed. We got the shepherd's pie fries to start and I have been dreaming of them since. First off the fries are some of the best I've ever had. They're clearly homemade and were just perfect and the pie filling on top took it to the next level. For entrees my husband got the fish and chips. The fish was fresh and crispy and paired perfectly with the amazing curry sauce. He was obsessed. I got the burger with corned beef on top and onion rings and paired it with their ketchup aioli and I loved it. Portions were large and fairly priced in my opinion for quality and quantity. For dessert we tried their new milk and cookies cake and it was very enjoyable. Not too sweet and perfectly moist. I can't say enough great things about this place and look forward to our next visit with the whole family since there really is something for everyone on the menu. read more

The family raved about Belfast Gastropub so leaving a wake down the street this was the logical place. Dropping a 12 top at 8:30pm on a Sunday but our server was a trooper. He was about to head out but stayed for us! This is a great pub with a nice dining room. The whole place was Clean and warm. All our food was delicious! I can recommend the grown up Grilled Cheese! read more

After a meal a group of us wanted to go to a lively bar and found this awesome place. We asked someone to take a group photo outside before going in, and looking back at it we saw someone photobombed us, we found out it was the GM Geoff! After meeting him a bit later inside, we let him know we were celebrating our men all passing their final written exam for NCPD. Being a former Marine, Geoff congratulated us with a round of shots and even had the DJ @LosTheDj shout them out. Everyone in this place cheered for our men! The music was great, we heard it was Carlos's first time DJ'ing there and would love to see him back! Really was just an incredible night out at such a great place. Thank you!! read more

Excellent Reubens! Pastrami or Corned Beef. Fries are out of this world. Really beautiful catering side where it's quieter and elegant. The pub side is fun and loud! Very Irish Pub. First time visiting Belfast Gastropub after passing by many times. Food was OK, but way over priced. $40 for a boneless short ribs that wasn't short ribs, but a small chuck steak that was mostly fat. The 4% credit card fee was a not so nice surprise too. It's a once and done for us. read more

Enjoyed a late dinner recent Friday night. As usual bar was having a good time all around vibe, we were sat immediately in the tent extension dining room, but with the outdoor heaters it was all warm and cozy. Service was quick and professional. I ordered the Irish breakfast, eggs over easy, toast, sausage, bacon, potatoes, grilled tomato, baked beans, black pudding and toast. I ate the crap out of it as I was starving. I could eat that breakfast at any time of the day, thanks for having it available. Thanks Belfast and thanks for all you for Lindenhurst! read more

The appetizers are great and so is the eggplant meatballs and linguini. The relaxed atmosphere and great service make this business a plus for the Lindenhurst neighborhood and greater Long Island. My only complaint is that many of the dishes contain alcohol, so I am careful about ordering non- alcohol foods. read more

This is the second home delivery in a row where my order wascscrewed up. The lamb chops were way to well done and they forgot the nashed potatoes. The pork chop was supposed to be nefium, but was so well done I could of used a hack saw to cut through it. Thus was one of our favorite restaurants since they opened, not so much anymore. I guess they have trouble reading prep requests, or maybe they need a chef read more

Absolutely fabulous! It took me over an hour to get here from downtown Manhattan. I was in Lindenhurst for work. The service was excellent. The Bloody Mary was excellent and generous, and the Irish Breakfast (Americanized with potatoes) was the best outside of Dublin! (Yes, I've been 2X). Thanks crew! I'll be back for Fish and Chips and a Guiness! read more

Food here was pretty excellent! Service was solid and friendly without being overly familiar. Lots of great menu choices and a fine beer selection. The decor is bright and warm and seems to be a very popular spot for locals. While it is a tad pricey, the food and portions are sizable. Good spot and the Shepherds Pie is excellent! read more

Six of us had lunch here on a Friday afternoon. Food was good, beers were ice cold and server was nice.

I went Saturday night with my boyfriend. Service was amazing and so was the food. We got the Brussels sprouts, bang bang shrimp, breakfast burger and harvest salad. Everything tasted really good. My boyfriend was really cranky and ate like it was his last meal. The owner was really kind and welcoming. The staff bartender Antonio and server were attentive and kind. Will be returning asap. read more

Stopped here to enjoy the live music of the Uber talented Ed Ryan on a Friday night and had dinner. Note: We didn't try the cocktails or bar menu (dry January) but they looked good and extensive. I was part of a group of three who ordered the braised short rib baked potato skins; "SideWinder" braised short rib flatbread and a steak sandwich. We also split the lava cake with ice cream and cheesecake desserts. As expected from a 'gastropub' the food was not the run of the mill and appeared fresh and slightly different - for example all the short rib options! Staff from the bus boys to the waitress to the manager were welcoming; attentive and on point. Would definitely recommend and we do want to go back to explore more of the menu options including the genuine Irish food and interesting offerings...(I'm looking at you SPICY CRACKLE BITE appy which is listed as shaved corned beef mixed with kraut, Swiss cheese, spicy thousand Island, breaded and fried golden brown.) Note: Gastropub also means higher prices all around. You'll have to decide if it's worth it. read more

Belfast Gastropub - Riesling & German Beer - Gastropubs Near Me - Lindenhurst, New York

Came here for happy hour with some friends-they don't have a great happy hour, only $1 off on drinks and very few options for food but we were looking for something til 7 and most places were til 6 so we figured we'd check it out. Their regular menu seems kind of expensive for a gastropub and they upcharge for credit card. We ordered the eggplant meatballs and chicken tenders with a side of hot honey off the HH menu then also got the limerick flatbread and appetizer sampler. Everything was pretty tasty-the chicken tenders seemed fresh not frozen and the hot honey was a great choice. the flatbread was probably my fav tho. It was basically a Reuben sandwich but a flatbread instead-it was oozing with flavor. We ended up staying for bingo and my friend won-they kinda gave her a hard time about the prize tho which was strange but ended up giving her a $25 gift card so we'll be back to try other things! read more

Came with a small group of 8. It was loud, but not too loud. We were able to hear each other during conversations. Most of us did order an appetizer and an entree. I feel the appetizers took longer than they should have to come out. Some appetizers that were ordered were jumbo pretzel, potato soup, eggplant meatballs, and I ordered mussels. Appetizers seemed to be enjoyed all around. I enjoyed the mussels. I got them in the white wine sauce. It was very flavorful throughout. Very generous serving also. It was served with garlic bread. I did dunk it in the left over white wine sauce after I finished eating the mussels. I ordered a Caesar salad for my entree. It was okay. A little overdressed for my liking. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals. For whatever reason, numerous people checked on us numerous times throughout our meal. When we got the bill, a lot of prices differed from what was on the menu. It was about a $1 difference or so. Just be mindful of that. read more

After seeing Belfast Gastropub with a dinner crowd a few times, I decided to check it out. My friend and I were immediately pleased with the pubby-but-modern look on the inside and appreciated the cheerful, friendly service. We sat outside, which was nice for a cool summer night. My friend ordered the Bavarian pretzel and I went with the southwestern flatbread. Both dishes were good. We also enjoyed a glass of merlot and a mojito, but I could tell there wasn't much alcohol in the mojito. I'm not a big drinker but mojitos aren't cheap! Overall, I think Belfast Gastropub is a great addition to downtown Lindy. I'll be back! read more

We had such a wonderful time at Belfast last weekend! We walked in for dinner closer to 8 pm on Sunday and were able to grab one of the tables outdoors. It was nice being able to enjoy the evening breeze while still being able to hear the live music from inside. Our server, Alena, was incredibly friendly and attentive. Right off the bat, we were pleased to find they offered frozen drinks, especially since those seem to be hard to come by. We ordered the mango one, which was nice and refreshing. For appetizers, we got the Bulldog Sampler, which essentially was a loaded plate of fried deliciousness. The fried ravioli and mozzarella sticks were our favorites, but really everything was good! For mains, we got The Brilliant and The Rock signature burgers. Both were cooked a little over, but were still tender, juicy, and flavorful. The fries on the side were out of this world good, and the coleslaw and pickles were great as well. There were so many other things on the menu that caught our eye, and we are so excited to return again soon! read more

I've heard a lot about this place so me and the wife decided to check it out for our anniversary. I have to say it didn't disappoint. The place is nicely done and there's plenty of parking in the area. We were seated quickly. The drinks were good and according to the wife "strong". We tried their French onion to start and it was what I hoped for...real good. My main was a steak sandwich which was a nice size and very tasty. We also tried the Nutella cheesecake which was surprisingly good. Overall I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was attentive and friendly. It's not cheap but not overly priced. Dinner for two with apps, drinks, dessert and tip was about 140. I'll definitely be back. read more

One of our new favorite places in Lindenhurst! We recently moved to the area and this has become our go to. They even have a kids menu and every employee is always super friendly with our toddler. Really nice atmosphere, and the heated indoor tent is fantastic. Wings are delicious for an app and the steak sandwich has a great flavor and sweetness with the tomato jam. They constantly host events weekly and there is a super positive vibe each time we've been. Definitely check it out! read more

Same issue with the onion soup as Andrew wrote..clear broth no favor and very greasy..not sure on the cheese..I believe it was rye bread croton...it tasted like they didn't stir the pot and just scooped the light greasy broth on top...ruin my stomach for the rest of the day...a harp beer and mini crock..$22 and change read more

I had heard nothing but good things about this place but hadn't a chance to dine there. At work I ordered lunch from here yesterday. Great fries, average chicken and I can't comment on the ice cream. You see, the food came in a reasonable time but there were no utensils, no ketchup, s/p or napkins. If I was at home that would not be a bother but as it was clearly delivered to a place of business, perhaps someone should have considered adding utensils, condiments, etc. Such an oversight has me thinking twice about dining there. read more

We came here on recommendation of friends of ours that lived in the area. It's a cool place to eat and hang. Had live music which is always a plus. We got seated and had sangrias to chill out with but then ordered apps. I got brisket potato skins which were dynamite. My buddy ordered eggplant meatballs which were just as good. My wife chose the French onion soup & said it was excellent. For entrees we had the salmon which was a good size piece of fish with creamed cauliflower, spinach & roasted tomatoes . Meal was very filling and we didn't stay for desert . Place is near a town square where kids were having a costume contest. Also the strip has alot of shops and restaurants to explore. We are going to come back and try another recommended place. read more

Cute place, but we ordered the calamari and it was soggy and not appetizing. I can't remember the last time I've ordered something and I just didn't want to eat it at all. I'm not sure if it's because they put the sauce on it, but it shouldn't be served this way. If you have fried calamari you are expecting crispy, not wet. Also, the menu said it was cherry peppers... we were totally expecting a little spice. The sauce pretty much tasted like marinara sauce. Hubby described it as calamari parm. I think that was pretty accurate. The waitress was super nice and the beer was yummy and cold. Maybe we will try a different food option another time. I hear great things, but this just was a miss tonight. read more
