Absolutely unacceptable and incredibly disappointing experience. We chose this establishment to watch the Super Bowl with our children and friends, expecting to enjoy the full event like every other paying customer. Instead, during the halftime show, the bartender deliberately muted Bad Bunny's performance and played completely different music over it. When bad bunny was playing we heard the bartender say, "What the F is this?" And when he muted it the customers in front of him said "Thank God." The owner or manager tried to make an excuse that there was a glitch with their system which was clearly BS, which was confirmed. This was not only unprofessional, it was blatantly disrespectful to customers who specifically came to watch one of the biggest televised events of the year. A business has no place forcing personal opinions, biases, or politics onto guests who are simply trying to enjoy a nationally broadcast program. The most upsetting part was watching my daughter become visibly upset after being excited all day to watch the performance, only to have it ruined by a staff member's personal decision. No customer -- especially children -- should have to miss part of a major event because an employee decided their preferences mattered more than the patrons'. Bad Bunny is a Grammy-winning global artist, and Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory. Regardless of anyone's personal views, deliberately censoring part of the Super Bowl broadcast is inappropriate, exclusionary, and completely unacceptable for a public establishment. We will absolutely not be returning, and I hope management seriously addresses this behavior so other families do not have their experience ruined the way ours was. read more

Open late on a Sunday night. Stopped in for food and drinks with friends. Very friendly bartender, super attentive and welcoming. Had the spinach dip for an appetizer. Wasn't a big fan of it. It was a bit watery, not cheesy, and a bit of a tangy/sour taste to it. Would not recommend it. The menu was very large and there were many things to choose from. This relates to their betting machine, not the food nor drinks which are fine. My girlfriend and I have been betting derby for years, preakness, etc. We finally get a win and establishment/bartenders couldn't/ wouldn't pay the winnings claiming there was not enough $$ to pay. This was not large sum to pay. They told us come back the next day, but same story on next day. Fortunately, the local card store in east northport was happy to pay. Guess what? They are known primarily as a bar (and I will admit that that is the majority of my patronage), but they are one of the few bars that also has a solid kitchen. There have been times I've come specifically to get lunch or dinner rather than to drink and the food's solid. Staff is amazing and I've never not enjoyed the live music. read more

We came out to Long Island to visit family and stopped in here on a Saturday to have dinner and watch college football. Knowing what a wing fanatic I am, my brother in law had suggested I try the wings here. They did not disappoint. You can get them lightly fried or just baked and they have lots of different rub and sauce options. The outsides were crispy and the inside was nice and tender. The only knock on their wings is that they don't offer any real hot sauce. They have one on the menu called "volcano" that sounds very intimidating, but it's not hot in the least. They really should get a hot sauce that lives up to its name. They had a good selection of craft beers on tap as well as some pretty decent top shelf liquor options. They had a band on this particular night which was pretty good and the general atmosphere was great. I started talking to some of the locals and they were all very nice. Overall a pretty cool bar. The chili is way too covered in cheese, and I didn't Iove the chili itself. Guinness Burger is good. Tater tots are what they are supposed to be. Irish Club is delicious. This isn't my first time coming to Nappers.... my teammates and myself came after a state championship game and our tables have been reserved for a week so they knew we were coming. we got here at 6:20 and it took us 2 whole hours to get our food. I understand it's a busy Saturday night but again they knew we were going to be here. Terrible wing night specials. They say unlimited beer and wings, but wings come out in batches of six or so for the entire table. They're great about refilling the beers but as far as wings go, those come out at an extremely slow pace. We ordered a burger with no bun for my God daughter because she has Celiacs and then we ordered teriyaki wings and nachos with no jalapeños and the burger came on a "gluten free" bun and the nachos came with jalapeños! They took the nachos back and brought it without jalapeños but I just feel that allergies should be taken more serious. My God daughter got sick so they aren't careful about gluten or cross contamination or both and even though the bun was gluten free it should have been brought out the way it was ordered and that was without a bun. Napper Tandy's is a local Northport pub and grub that serves great food, cold beer and cocktails in a fun atmosphere. Big screen TVs everywhere showing every sport and piped in music overlap your conversation while eating drinking and having fun. The food is mostly fresh and delicious at reasonable prices. I love the shepherds pie and the fish and chips are pretty remarkable but was very disappointed to get the prime rib special that came with instant mashed potatoes. I absolutely loved coming to napper Tandy's all the time growing up in Northport. The food the staff and the crowd and there was always the best and a good time. Stopped in there last night with two old friends to get out of the heat. Knowing that the whole Covid thing was going on it was nice and quiet perfect place to go catch up with old friends but let me tell you the food was absolutely horrible. Nappers was always known for their wings we ordered 21 wings and got dry cold bones. We also ordered mozzarella bites that were fried and greasy we got three little potato skins for $10 that were absolutely horrible and made you sick. As much as our server was really nice and sweet but we were the only table in there and we consistently had to ask her for stuff. It was getting to the point that we had to shout to the bartender what we wanted. I have noticed in the past few years that I popped in there every once in a while the food and the service had been going downhill. I will say that this was the last straw really will probably never eat there ever again. read more

As local a true local can get. "Local" is what the Irish call the pub they most frequent or their favorite pub. The staff is amazing. The tremendous variety of tap beers offered is like none I've seen in the area before. The best pint of Guinness poured will be poured for you here. This place had the single worst burger I've ever had. I'm not sure what was wrong with it-if it was frozen meat or cheap meat or what, but it was awful! The wings, on the other hand, were actually good. Beer was good-they have Blue Point on tap. The atmosphere was loud, dark and a little dirty. We just hosted a casual graduation party at Nappers. Boy has the place changed!!! The party was fantastic! All of our friends were raving about it. The room was private and attractive. The set-up provided a place for people to sit down if desired, but plenty of milling around space. We decided on a three hour apps and open bar set up. The food was delicious - definitely an upgrade over past quality - and again, our guests were raving about it. The service was stellar! The food was replenished as needed and more importantly so were drinks. No one was ever in the position of looking around for wait staff. Hands down this is the friendliest hometown pub. I see everyone always greeted with a big smile and a welcome. The staff is fantastic, the kitchen puts out warm and tasty pub grub and the bartenders serve great drinks all while treating you like you're their number one customer. For the most part, the pub has a steady flow of local regulars. They're all very friendly and quick to answer any questions you may have. Born and raised in Northport but I've never been here. It was very empty when I showed up but I guess it was Thursday? I don't know maybe nobody goes out on Thursday. Prices were average and I will say they did have clean bathrooms and I always appreciate that. The bartenders were typical but I'm sure they were just annoyed having to be around on an off night. Try The Lark down on larkfield(laurel) road two miles away. Nappers is great, but its a pretty typical old school and wood paneling everywhere type of bar. I have never had a worse first-time experience a bar or pub. After arriving at Napper Tandy's for their wing night, which I had heard great reviews about, I sat down and waited to pay. I wanted to pay with credit card and was passed off to the manager, Eddie. I have never met someone that lacked class, tact or people skills like this man. I asked if I could pay with credit and he said, "No, welcome to Northport." Not knowing what this meant, I explained my situation and again he replied, "Welcome to Northport. If you don't like it, get out," I was very taken aback. I grabbed some cash from a friend and went to pay. Eddie didn't see the cash in my hand and told me if I argued with the bouncer he would throw me out. I showed him the cash and he was happy to take it. I asked why he was so upset with me, a new customer, someone who should be treated especially well for repeat business. Instead, I was greeted with his final comment, "I hate dickbeaters like you." This all took place within my first 10 minutes of stepping foot in the bar. I'm 30 years old and well voiced and very mellow. There was no reason for this "manager" to act the way he did. I will never return back to this place and discourage any one else from stepping foot inside. This was the worst customer service and the worst I have EVER been treated at any business. Sometimes I miss wing night and those are the worst nights honestly. What else could you ask for besides unlimited wings and beer? The teriyaki wings are especially fuego. The girls bringing them out pretty pretty good too. Also I love the local crowd especially during hockey games. By the end of the night we are all together chanting for the Rangers having an epic time even though we never even met each other. The wings here are honestly the best around. I've never been more disappointed or embarrassed with a food/bar experience in my life. Invited 3 friends here to watch Thursday night football- we sat down at 730, almost an hour before the game. Ordered a round of beers and our food- the waitress didn't come to take a second round of beer orders until almost 30 mins later- our food came out at 815 ICE COLD. The waitress waited another 15 mins to stop by and ask us how everything was- at that point we were so disgusted by the cold food and horrible service that we got our check and went to another bar to eat hot food and get good service. I will never spend another dollar here and I'm embarrassed that I recommended this place to friends for Thursday night football. The icing on the cake was they tried to upcharge us on all our beers when apparently they were all supposed to be $4 specials.
