Thankfully they have enlarged the portions of the dips to sharable sizes! We get a bunch of small plates to share and then share the big plates as well! The service is inconsistent, however, and more than once i've had to get up to hunt down a server. We waited over 15 minutes for our drinks and then they were brought out one at a time! Then, several times they brought us items meant for another table. They let our drinks go dry, and that can't be good for business. The servers were always sweet and apologetic, but we were never quite sure who our server was.

A few favorites we never skip: the meatballs, calamari, baked clams, Brussels sprouts, and cheese platter. We recently went to one of their monthly wine dinners--this one was "America the Beautiful"--and it was honestly outstanding. The presentation was beautiful, the wine pairings were spot on, and Alex shared just the right mix of wine knowledge, winemaker stories, and history to keep it fun and interesting. And as always, Kylie, Ana, and the rest of the staff made us feel so welcome. Great food, great vibes--can't wait to go back.

We tried so many dishes on my second visit and they ranged from great to incredible. I was scooping up the sauce on the octopus salad, the apple Gorgonzola flatbread was a table favorite. I believe management also came around to check on everything but with nothing to complain about it was a quick chat. We were able to sit outside to enjoy the weather which is a nice bonus. The inside is a bit dark in ambiance but it does have a wonderful mood setting for a dinner or an event. Speaking of events, we had a wedding dinner here earlier this month and everything was beyond perfect from the staff, drinks, and food. Everyone had a wonderful time and I couldn't thank them enough! This will definitely become a go to spot.

Our group of 7 had reservations for 7:00pm a couple of Fridays ago. When we arrived, we pulled up…read moreto the valet, handed him our keys, and walked in right on time. We were seated immediately in the room toward the back left corner where we were the only table occupying the space. In fact, as the evening progressed, no other diners/groups were seated back there, which was nice. We observed that although it was a Friday evening at prime dinner hour, the restaurant never got too full nor was the bar area buzzing. Again, it was nice that it wasn't so hectic in there, but we noted that as curious for a spot like this, on a Friday evening, and when the weather was pleasant. Starting with a high point: our server was really good. He was a very nice young man who let us know at the end of our meal that it was actually his first day on the job. While we could tell he didn't know everything about the menu - which is totally understandable given him being a new hire - he was kind, personable, and went above and beyond to provide excellent and timely service. As for the venue, it was nice although not upscale and that was just our speed for this evening. We loved having the room to sit comfortably at a setup that could comfortably seat 8. As for the food, it was decent although I wouldn't call anything I tasted fantastic. For apps, we shared 2 orders apiece of calamari, crab cakes, and lamb chops (6 apps total) with the chops being my favorite out of those. The calamari were small and didn't pack a lot of flavor but they were fried well. The marinara sauce that came with it was also fine but not remarkable. The crab cakes were a little mushy for our liking. For my entrée, I ordered the Lobster Rigatoni. There was plenty of lobster on top, the portion was more than solid, and it came out at the right temperature but the flavor again failed to really impress and was somewhere between "fine" to "good". For dessert, I ordered the chocolate lava cake, and I was truly disappointed by that. For starters, there was no gooey "lava" as the name implied, and the edges were dry and seemed overcooked. The flavor again fell a little flat and I didn't bother to finish it even though I am usually a huge fan of chocolate desserts. All in all, we had an enjoyable evening as a crew, but the food could be elevated a bit from a flavor standpoint. I would give the food a little better than a "3" but I think they have enough going for them that amping up the flavors could do wonders for their desirability and drawing more diners.

We both had the garlic shrimp which were very well flavored but unfortunately didn't have even one garlic clove, which was disappointing and there were only 6 shrimp. The olive oil they were in was great though and we dipped our food into it and they were perfectly cooked. The paella is supposed to be for 2-4 people which I can see if you have more tapas but we finished it off. It came with a healthy amount of shrimp, grilled calamari and chorizo and was perfectly seasoned. We also appreciated how the rice was a bit crispy and not mushy. The table next to ours ordered what appeared to be a very good looking fruit cobbler of some kind but we were too stuffed for dessert. They also have a weekday happy hour before 6pm that looks good with deals on booze. Really enjoyed this spot! Conveniently located in the middle of garden city with ample free parking.
