All pastas are handmade, Neapolitan pizza second to none, outstanding Italian wines with some Napa ones thrown in as well. The vibe is a very cozy and warm chalet feel, with fantastic background music to set the mood played at the perfect volume. Different levels of seating and a few round tables for the perfect dinner with friends or family. Price point perfect and what is coming out of the kitchen fantastic. We had a great experience here. Came with the kids and were seated in a quiet little corner which was perfect (next to another family with kids). We started with the rice balls, fennel salad and Caesar- fennel salad stole the show but all were great. We sampled the Norma (very tasty, great sauce and pasta), lobster ravioli special (seriously delicious), Margherita pizza (great), and the lasagna (weakest link- meat had a burnt flavor). A friend of mine loves to do holiday "Friendsgiving" gatherings. That's how I ended up there, with twenty-plus other guests. We had a long table on an elevated platform area of the restaurant. It was warm and inviting. Some guests actually felt a little too warm and started shedding layers. Seeing how the table's area was elevated, and heat rises, we probably felt the brunt of the HVAC system. So don't make too much of that. The restaurant had some great apps (Chicken skewers, Meatballs etc.) which I think they made specifically for our party. So I'm not sure you'll get to experience them as I don't see all of them on the current website menu. We had a little bit of an issue ordering the first round of drinks. I wasn't sure if the waiter couldn't hear some of the guests or if he didn't understand the order itself. That resulted in some people not getting their order in or getting a random unknown drink. Things got a little bit better on the second round. I had the short rib as my entree. I loved it. I switched from my anomalous mixed drink to wine, with dinner. They did have a good selection of wines. I recommend doing the same if you have a large group. All in all, I had a great time and enjoyed the food. The company of friends was a great catalyst as much as the restaurant was a great setting. I recommend you check the place out if you're into Italian. You're experience might be better regarding the drink situation with small parties or 1-on-1 dates. P.S. They had valet but the lot looked kind of small. I parked on hilly street and walked a block or two. So I recommend getting to the vicinity of the restaurant a little early to figure the situation out and not be rushing to make your reservation, as I did. read more

He even went above and beyond to find out if they could serve their branzino as an option since it was no longer a special. My only critique is how dense their zeppoles were and the tuna could have paired better with cooked cauliflower or a purée because left cold it lacked texture and contrast to this dish. We had a sorrowful day when one of our best friends lost her mother. We attended the funeral and she hosted lunch at a new restaurant in Locust Valley, NY. The restaurant, Two25, was recently renovated and looked great! The food was superb, and the wait service was efficient and professional. We enjoyed our culinary experience after the funeral so much that we decided to eat dinner at Two25 restaurant that evening. Our daughter, our friends, my wife and I went to the restaurant with great expectations. We were not disappointed! Our appetizers were Burrita, Carciofi Fritti, raw oysters and baked clams. They were all excellent and we all commented how they fresh they tasted. Our waiter, MajorMinor, was so friendly and polite. What a nice young man with a great smile. Adriana, the manger, greeted us and was happy we returned for dinner. My wife had a Margarita pizza with a thin crust which was served hot and was delicious. My daughter had the Cotletta alla Milanese and said it was excellent. My friends had the Spinach Tortelloni and the Broccoli Orecchetti. They both said it melted in their mouths. I had the Branzino, an European white fish. Branzino is a boney fish, so you need to be careful when you prepare it. Not one bone, it was delicious and perfectly cooked. As we were finishing our meals Mario C., the owner stopped by our table to talk. We had a delight conversation about his restaurant and how happy he was being in Locust Valley. We wished him continued good luck. Our dessert came to our table on a three tiered display with ice cream, pastries, cheese cake and more. It was the perfect ending to a great meal. We will be going back to Two25 again soon to try some of the other dishes. If you are looking for an enjoyable dining experience, you should definitely try Two25, you will be pleasantly surprised and impressed by their entree selections , their wine list and their desserts. I heard this place was recently renovated (not sure exactly when), and you can definitely feel it the moment you walk in. The ambiance is fresh, updated, and welcoming with a cozy, homey vibe that makes you want to settle in right away. We started with a charcuterie board--everything was incredibly fresh. The portion wasn't huge, but honestly it was the perfect size so you're not too full before the meal. Then came the crab cake, which might just be the best I've ever had. Absolute must-order, no question. The fried zucchini was another standout--crispy, flavorful, and definitely a "non-negotiable" dish. We also had the stuffed clams, which were bursting with flavor. I only wish we ordered more. For dinner, I had the cavatelli pasta, which was fresh, hearty, and packed with flavor 10/10,. I also tried the branzino--probably my least favorite of the night, but I'd give it another shot since everything else was spot-on. The staff was attentive, friendly, and the food came out quickly. THE GLOWS: Personnel are top-notch at Two25. We began our evening by having a pleasant conversation with the bartender as he prepared our French martini and glass of wine. We were seated promptly as soon as our party assembled, and we were greeted with menus and the daily specials by Miro, our server. He checked on us often and made sure our courses were correct and delivered with appropriate timing. It is standard practice there to place a bottle of water on each table so that you don't have to wait for someone to notice you need a refill. Now for the food: The highlights of the evening included the antipasto for 2, arctic char, and zeppole. And even though I was cranky at the limited flavors of gelato, the pistachio was hands down phenomenal. The antipasto included sopressato, mortadella, cappicola, green olives, fig jam, ricotta salata, provolone, gorgonzola, and a tomato confit. The arctic char was served with shaved Brussel sprouts and julienned green apple. This combination of sweet and savory married well together. Make sure you try their side of creamy polenta as well--big enough to share three ways! The space is lovely. The staff wasn't welcoming when we arrived. We sat at the bar because we were early for our reservation. At the bar I ordered a French martini. I love a good French martini but this wasn't it. The bartender was lovely and after sitting there for some time we decided we'd like to stay at the bar and eat. I went to let the host know because I had made an open table reservation and wanted to be sure I got the credit. The host didn't seem to care but o shared I wanted to be sure the reservation was complete on open table. Once back at the bar we ordered the meatball trio appetizer. It was a unique and flavorful blend of meatballs and sauce. Not impressive but ok. We also ordered the squash blossoms to start. Didn't expect a lot of fried squash blossoms. They were tasty but a lot. We decided to share the capricciossa pie for dinner. The flavors were absolutely incredible on this pie. Fresh and flavorful. The servings were large and we struggled to finish it. Overall we had 3 drinks, 2 appetizers and one pizza. We were shocked when the $170 bill arrived For a mediocre experience. We've been to restaurants where our bill was less than $50 for two people and the customer service was over the top. The bartender was nice but that was the only interaction we had. I work a lot of private parties this is the first time that I felt a need to review, but I have to rave about them. It's hard to send food to a house and have it stay as good as it would be when you put it on the plate inside the restaurant, especially in large quantities. the chicken piccata, eggplant , octopus and rice balls were some of the best if not the best I've ever tasted! I would recommend this restaurant to anybody. We rarely eat Italian food outside our home because we make our own better than a restaurant. But this is another rare example of an excellent Italian restaurant that is like home cooked food. The place is very elegant inside and the people are very friendly and welcoming and the service was outstanding. The booze was great and the bottled Italian water was very good. We had the Shrimp Cocktail for the appetizer although the shrimp were a bit smaller it was fresh and very good. My wife had the tortellini and I had the special steak everything was delicious and well prepared. The steak had diced potatoes and it was perfectly cooked. The tortellini was fantastic although it was a small portion. The deserts we had an Afogato and the Zeppoli's were just outrageously delicious and the coffee was fantastic too. This is a really great Italian restaurant in LV we will definitely be back we had a wonderful meal and experience. You'd be remiss not to have a meal here. read more

I had the squid ink pasta which was amazing (they also make their pasta fresh daily!) & my husband had the duck which was great because he finished it & it was his first time trying it. I haven't been this charmed by a place in quite a while. The bottle of wine and food were all delicious. We had the pappardelle as well as the branzino. Before I rave about the food, I must say the service was so professional and amazing. From quite possibly the most charming valet we've met, to the warm and pleasant sommelier who poured our wine. Everyone who interacted with us made us feel great and gave off genuinely sweet vibes. The wait staff is insanely professional. We never felt rushed not even for a second, they let us girls talk and we felt like we could honestly stay forever. The ambiance is perfect for a date night and I would bring my boyfriend next time, but it was also great for a girls night to chat and gossip and drink incredible wine. Our wine glasses were also never empty, which is perfect. The highlight of the night (other than our adorable and sweet server Daniel) had to have been when we asked them if we could share the pasta and fish, and they of course said yes. And when they brought out the food, to our delight, it was already carefully pre-separated and we had our own individual plates (with beautiful plating.) It was such a sweet and thoughtful touch, and we didn't even ask. This level of consideration and detail will make me a repeat customer for special occasions. The pasta was perfectly balanced, and not overly heavy but still very creamy and rich, with the emphasis clearly being on quality. Each bite was melt in your mouth, close your eyes and focus levels of good. The branzino actually shocked me with how good it was, it was so flavorful and the skin was deliciously crispy. We cleared all of our plates and it felt like the perfect amount of food. We were having a great time so we had to try dessert and we treated ourselves to a scoop of both Nutella and pistachio gelato, both were unreal. We finished off the night with an espresso and cappuccino, which were presented beautifully. I can't wait to go back and show more people, I wasn't expecting to fall in love but my friend and I can't stop talking about great this dinner was. We held a private event for about 25 people last weekend in the upstairs space at Two25 and I could not have been more pleased! Leading up to our event, Andrea was very helpful and responsive, and the rest of the staff was just as incredible day-of. i recently had my daughter's bridal shower 225 and from the beginning from when we went to check it out and taste the food until the event, the owner Andreas was the absolute best! He was very professional, accommodating, kind and welcoming. The location is a little hike depending if you're traveling from the southshore or from the city but it is more than worth it. Its ambiance is warm, intimate and has lot's of natural light in the daytime. Its soft lights at nights provides a very cool romantic atmosphere. The food is very good with lots of choices. From the appetizers to the dessert and everything in between is very satisfying. Guest are still talking about the shower and many say that they will return. The service was top notch and all employees were very kind and attentive I recommend 225 for any event for 50 ppl or just a visit for brunch or dinner.
