Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to grab lunch with my sister and nephew. We were seated pretty quickly. It was pretty busy (private party, full section at the bar and a large party adjacent to us) but we did not have wait long at all. Kudos to the staff. We ordered Sauvignon Blanc and a simple tequila soda, and my nephew had lemonade. Unfortunately he did not enjoy the pink lemonade he received. We did not order appetizers. Lunch: we all had burgers. I enjoyed my turkey burger, it was not dry and the added avocado was perfection. There was an appropriate of sweet potato fries and a nice char on the bun. The Cajun burger was great grilled flavor, delicious onions and a nice portion. My nephew had a very happy belly with his cheeseburger. I would come back. read more

Been wanting to try this place for years and finally found the opportunity. Great parking lot in the back and easy access. Classic pub atmosphere with dark wood and green accents. We were immediately seated and was surprised that it wasn't busy for a Sunday afternoon. Excited to see that Quick Draw was available and couldn't believe that we could place bets on the races there too. The menu was nice sized and I always like to see different items. So I had the Reuben egg roll, which disappointed me, as there only being singular. It was served with 1000 Island dressing on the side. It wasn't my favorite. I also ordered the shepherds pie potato skins which was disappointing as well, having absolutely zero flavor. My husband ordered the CPI fried chicken sandwich, which was on a delicious roll but the chicken piece was minuscule for the price. We probably won't be returning. read more

I recently visited this BK Sweeney location for a retirement party. Not quite sure if this was the right spot for the retirement party because we were all separated by the different spaces that existed. Of course this is not BK Sweeney's fault. The food served was OK. There was no wow factor here, but considering it was set up for no party which was understandable. I overheard someone saying that the wings are incredible. The restaurant has different seating areas which are on slight sunken and elevated areas. I will be definitely heading back for the wings. read more

I will never step foot in this restaurant every again. Went for lunch on Friday, March 6 and the bartender (who was about 55 - 60 yrs old) was it was a horrible experience. he was so nasty and yelled at me because I was talking a little louder than other people because I am deaf. I asked to speak to the manager and he said loud and proud I am the manager with a big ass smile on his face. I never felt so humiliated at a restaurant. The other patrons at the bard couldn't believe the way he spoke to me. It is not worth it and will never recommend this place. I just really hope that karma will come back and haunt him one day. Had brunch there Sunday with my over 50 years best buddy. They have a very nice dining room, with plenty of room to stretch out at the table. The service is friendly and attentive. They have a nice choice of different brunch choices, at different price points, and all come with 2 drinks. I had a build your own omelette. I could add 2 selections, so I had 2 cheeses, American & Mozzarella. It came with Tater Tots so we were good. My drink was a screwdriver, which was made with the experienced drinker in mind, not weak but not overly strong either. Everything was fine, with 1 exception. There was something going on with the Tots. I got a decent portion, but the taste seemed to be off. It wasn't bad, but it seemed like the Tots were cooked in chicken oil or something like that. It was very noticeable. My buddy didn't have Tots so I had nothing to compare it to. Everything else was so good, I felt bad having this issue. Oh well. Went for lunch- 4 people food was overpriced and portions were small i had crab cakes that were disgusting; brown with no taste.When i complained to the waitress that these were the worst crabcakes i ever had, she shrugged and said other people loved them. I recently came here for a multiple person retirement party. The place is large, has out door seating and handled our crowd of union workers very well. Service was great and the drinks flowed. There definitely was catered food which i didnt dive into too much besides a little salad which was surprisingly good. If you live in the area then this could be a place you go for brunch. Definitely not a destination place after a long drive. It's a bar that does brunch too. We came on a Sunday morning and was the 2nd table seated. There was only one waitress taking care of the 2 tables but even so it took over 10 minutes before she came back after seating us to ask if we wanted coffee. Then another 10 minutes she came back with the coffee and the cold crumb cake basket. Then another 10 minutes before she took our orders. The crumb cake was nothing special, the topping completely separated from the bottom but it was fresh. Definitely didn't see a need to order another basket for an additional $2.95. We barely touched the first one and we were hungry. Mimosa was watery, the flavor of orange juice was hardly present, it reminded me of bubbly Tang. Didn't bother with the second one. Hubby wasn't thrilled with the bloody Mary either. My sister got the eggs Benedict but the English muffin wasn't even toasted, it was basically raw,, when the waitress finally checked in she asked for the muffin to be toasted, it came back with a light brown ring around the edge, Still not toasted enough, she gave up and skipped eating the muffin. My burger was ordered medium rare and it came well done. I didn't bother to try and flag down the waitress since so there were so many other disappointments with the whole meal. Went in for lunch today, Friday, and requested the round table. The rude blonde waitress very curtly stated that there was only room for 6 chairs, whereas we had 7 in the party. Upon looking at the table, we could definitely have fit one more chair and gently pointed that out. She obnoxiously refused and blamed the policy on the owner of the establishment. She also stated that if we tried to add the extra chair, she would kick us out. Well, she didn't need to as we left and went to 'Me & You Restaurant' and had a lovely, sweet server who served us a delicious meal... This type of Bar is a dying breed! Great beer, great food, all reasonably priced but most of all it's the heart of Bethpage!!! This is where the neighborhood comes to see old friends on or around holidays. I guess I crave that because my NYC neighborhood became deadly dangerous in the 80's! Today we did brunch. A few things to pass on to the owner/s. Food is average and that's probably pushing it. For a beer and some sports tv at the bar it's okay. I do think the place needs a refurb. Go down the street to Campagne or even go to Garden Social in East Meadow. You will see the difference. No body has carpeting and dark woodwork. Very dark inside and does hide things. I think if BKs is to survive, close it for a week or two and refurb like your neighbor. Once refurbed, enhance your menu, kick it up and change the cook. I'm sure you read this and BKs will hate the review but i do believe if you take this as positive and refurb, the return will pay off. read more

BK Sweeney's is a restaurant bar in Bethpage Village. The size of the crowd inside surprised me. On the advice of a fellow Yelper I raced over to try it. When I saw the BK S crowd realized they were likely easy to please.. mostly men and locals that like crowds and beer. So I took it to go, I saw four very small added on up charges as I paid the hostess, three for take out, on three dinners, one for switching out sides. So I began to think I was going to get some cheap economized dinners. Ribs and Mac and cheese were ok. Heavily sauced up tangy ribs, mac and cheese were shells and appeared baked on top. Sauerbraten, potato pancakes, red cabbage also good but mom kept using the word vinegary .. lol! ..I gave most of mine to the hounds, my son & his gf, brought the ribs back uneaten to the kitchen. They kept the mac & cheese. 20 minutes later I heard a delivery man at the door knocking with Italian food for them. Traditional pub food quick cook for a large crowd pub food. Next time I'll try the lunch sandwiches I was told are good, and maybe shepards pie to see if anything strikes me as a must have. Maybe I'll try again. Its a nice place to go for a weekend pub vibe if your not too far and you want a place to hang and drink beer. Maybe for lunch sandwiches as I was recommended to try. For take out dinner as I tried its likely not going to cut it. I kept the stars at 3 because ultimately it is a pub and the crowd was large, energetic and upbeat. So Pub it is. Updated Corona review. Just a perfect experience in these weird ad otherworldly times. Called in a takeout order off their Special menu Steaks, salads, hamburgers. Prices were the same as before the crisis so no gouging here. They gave us a time to show up in the back parking lot and there were 2 or 3 other cars waiting with more than the required spacing between them. Employee comes out checks your name and goes inside to get the food. Very smooth operation. She comes out and places the order in your car all practicing social distancing. Food was hot and right to order. They are doing a great job and it was good to see the community giving back business to an establishment who so often gave to the community. We just left here from Mother's Day brunch. We were booked for the first seating at 10am. The buffet food was not out and ready until almost 10:30am, at which point a waitress finally came to our table to order drinks. The food was not great. The cold food was served in random bowls that looked like they were picked up from a yard sale. Pastries were stale. Three of the people in our party have a stomach ache. I can't guarantee that's from the food, but it wouldn't surprise me. Will never come back again. The least you could have done on Mother's Day was made an effort to at least start on time. read more

Came here as a recommendation from a coworker. So happy I went! Bottomless mimosas, great food and moderate volume where I could actually have a conversation without having to yell across the table! I ordered an omelette, it was huge. Luckily I finished it. The eggs were so light and fluffy. Oh, and they had really good toast (looked like bread pressed in a panini press so it was soft and had a nice toasted flavor)-I wanted to order more but that would've been greedy of me. When we finally got the food the only positive thing we could say is that it was edible, but only half our party got their food. Nice irish pub/restaurant with a small town pub feel. Been coming here for years and always have a great experience. Their wings are phenomenal and they have some great sandwiches such as the Reuben, philly cheese steak, and blacked chicken sandwich. They also make a mean burger and french onion soup. Bartender's are great and they always have some good beers on tap. Nice wrap around bar with plenty of seating. On a side note the bar does a great tailgate package for jets and giants games as well as some concerts. Includes the bus ride their, unlimited beers, and some great tailgate food(steak, sausage peppers, wings, heros). Definitely a nice time. read more

Visit Date: June 10, 2018 My friends had a birthday brunch here. The food was good but I found the service to be a little bit slow which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. I can't do slow with a toddler although it is nice. Once we got seated we ordered drinks, it took awhile for the drinks to actually get to us and I don't think anyone ordered bar drinks either, just coffee, juice or soda. They also seemed to be stingy with water and I feel like water should be a standard when you are seated without even asking for it. My coffee was not bad, I've actually been trying to go mostly half caf or decaf and for decaf coffee it wasn't bad. Before our meal was served we got carbs...which I didn't eat because for the most part even though I would like to eat the carbs I skip them in favor or eating healthier so I don't weigh over 200 pounds like I used to. They gave us mini bagels and crumb cake. I ordered an omelette with mushrooms & mozarella cheese and a side of fruit. It came with toast which I think my son ended up eating a little bit of. The omelette was good very fluffy but I wish they added more mushrooms. I think I might have gotten two mushrooms in the whole omelette if I was lucky. Overall this place is good besides the slow service and an omelette lacking the veggies. I wouldn't object to coming here again. read more

It's chicken, bacon and mozzarella cheese on toasted garlic bread! DELICIOUS! Sweet potato fries are also great! I've never done take out/to-go until the other day. I got the Cobb salad to go. Their Cobb salad has bacon, avocado, bleu cheese, hard boiled egg, tomatoes, sesame chicken and tortilla strips. I asked for NO bleu cheese and NO tortilla strips. It didn't come with bleu cheese or tortilla strips...but it also didn't come with hard boiled egg or SESAME chicken. It came with regular grilled chicken. It also came with cucumber and RAW onion. Raw onion totally changes the flavor of things. Not only that, but what if I was allergic to onion? Onion was NOT listed as an ingredient in the salad. read more

We have lived in the area since 1974, Sweeneys was always a destination for a nice relaxing dinner with great food. Today, we went back after a long haitis due to the covid mess. I had a French dip sandwich, something that I used to order frequently, my wife has their Chilli. To sum up the meal, it was DISGUSTING. The meat was greasy, full of gristle, barely warm and the bread was poor at best. Almost inedible. Her Chilli was straight from a can, watery and tasteless. It's unfortunate to see a landmark fall to such a level, McDonalds would have been a better choice. read more
