The food was delicious! We ordered the kids' chicken Alfredo and a kids' pizza, and we also did the 2 for $31 deal. For our appetizer, we got the spinach dip. For our entrees, we got the chicken and shrimp with mashed potatoes, as well as the new cheesy cheeseburger. The service was good overall. Our server was very attentive, though towards the end when we needed our check, we couldn't track him down. He came back within about 7 minutes, and we were easily able to pay using the tablet provided right on the table. ¡La comida estuvo deliciosa! I used to eat at applebees all the time back in the day, but haven't been back for a minute. My son got a coupon for a free sundae from his teacher so I figured we would take him here for his birthday dinner. The place is just how I remembered it! Delicious steaks at a very reasonable price. We got the borbon street steak and the glaze sauce was to die for. My son got a grilled cheese cheeseburger. They kind of mash both together into a dish. He really enjoyed it! Although we were all stuffed after our meals, The boy still somehow found room for his sundae so we ordered the chocolate one and he really enjoyed it. Going there I had read other people complaining about their tables not being cleaned etc and guess what, as soon as we sat down our arms were sticking to the table. I'm not sure what they use to clean but the tables were super sticky. Anyway we grabbed some napkins and cleaned out table. I ended up trying the classic wings with cheese sticks and I got the first hand experience of almost plastic made cheese. I'll be adding a video here as well of how uncheesy looking the cheese was. Then we ordered their chicken burger with grilled petty with Chipotle mayo on the side and it was nothing like a sandwich I tasted before. Even the Chipotle mayo was something else. I don't know if their standard of making things is so much different than the rest of the world or if the chef is trying to create something new but I never tasted a sandwich that would taste this bad before. No disrespect to the chef and the cooks there but I'd definitely suggest them to try other burgers(I'm not so sure in states but we got Red Robins, Milestones, Browns, Cactus Club, Earls etc in Canada and they all taste amazing). A friend had never been to Applebee's and wanted to try it so here we were. Plenty of parking available. They have lunch and dinner specials available. It looks like you can order from a kiosk but we went with the server. There is a bar in the middle of the restaurant. We started with the Classic Combo appetizer which had a little of everything. For dinner, I had the blackened salmon, another had steak and the last one had the Southwest chicken bowl. It was all decent. Service was friendly and efficient. Last week both my husband and I kept seeing the commercial for the special- Chicken cutlet Parma. and Sauce on top of Alfredo Noodles (I purchased extra sauce and had to pay for 2bread sticks even though they are shown on the commercial as coming with it). Instead of the Deluxe Cheesburger with fries I ordered the Chicken sandwich, same price but because it wasn't the special we didn't get the appetizer nor the price that was shown. Instead we got two pretty sorry meals. To start off with they both were the size of a meals on wheels dinner, meant for a senior on a strict diet. My 6 yr old granddaughter could have fit that on her Bluey's kids plate and had room for dessert. We are not pigs but expected to get a normal size meal. My husband's meal with the extra sauce I paid for he said was just ok. I saw him eyeing my "meal" until he saw me take my first bite of chicken and was met with fat and grizzle under all the breading that gives the appearance of having a bigger piece of chicken then there was. I don't know if it was rib meat or what but the entire chicken piece was stringy and not enjoyable. There was no tomatoes to be found, there was one snaky slip of lettuce and the bottom bun was falling apart. I did get about 3 or 4 little round pickle slices. I opted for mashed potatoes instead of fries which came in one of those cups you get when you go shopping and they're giving out samples. It was one baby scoop, no more than a tsp. Worth of potatoes so I can't remember if they were good or not because they were gone in one turn. We didn't order drinks nor appetizers or dessert and our total came to just shy of $60! I wrote a letter of complaint, got a call from the mgr. who gave me a $10 coming back card. Corporate wrote me , asked for my photo proof and I have not heard from them since. What was once a really great place in the neighborhood to go out to with friends and family is no longer a place we will eat at any longer, nor order from at home. The manager sent a form letter (which tells me right there I am not the only one) and enclosed was a card similar to an appointment card you get at your Dr. office with a one month expiration date and what I assume is his signature. I wonder if the guy who goes around picking through our garbage found it. Maybe I should have laid it on top. Very disappointed and won't be returning to a place we used to enjoy that in recent years we have found to be going down hill. The reason I rated it a two was the driver who delivered was nice so I gave him some credit. read more

It was harsh for a hygiene concern with an employee and I may have used a too harsh euphemism - so will not elaborate. All in all always found all of the chains food too commercial to want to return. Brought my wife and kid there. I ordered the $15.99 All You Can Eat. Bad experience! First, boneless wings and fries were served. No coleslaw . Then mix and match. I asked the waitress to make sure coleslaw was included. Then chicken tenders were served but no fries no coleslaw! Then I asked for another mix and match and riblets , long time passed not served. When the waitress walked by I asked her when the food can be served. She said she can put food in boxes for me. When I opened the boxes at home, one small coleslaw but no fries. 24 minutes into our visit, so far we have our beers (after we tasted them realized I have his and he has mine ) and we have two plates. No napkins. No silverware. No waters. The waiter just came back to reorganize our order apparently he threw out all his papers. Hmmm Off to a great start. We arrived around 4 pm, wasn't too crowded, but as we left about 530 it was tables full kinda packed. Not sure if our so-so experience was due to the time of day? Food was decent but nothing spectacular. We really enjoyed the pretzel with beer cheese dip(going to recreate at home) I typically get the steak salad which I love but decided on tacos due to hangover necessity. BF chose the riblets (which he loved at the Baldwin location) said they were okay here. I didn't think the bathroom garbage should be overflowing at 5pm. Overall I probably wouldn't return. Over the years, I've visited Applebees in different locations/countries and have always hesitated coming here, based on my past experiences. My husband somehow convinced me to go here today and I am soooo glad we did. Such amazing deals. We picked 2 of the entrees we liked and clubbed those into an available offer they had with a free appetizer - we picked honey barbecue boneless wings and for entrees we got the bourbon chicken and shrimp as well as the Classic bacon cheeseburger. Every single thing was on the money. I wouldn't be able to remember all that. The apps came out almost immediately. Followed by the food. The portions were enough. Other reviews mentioned no free refills. I don't know where that came from we got many free refills in fact I've never been to an Applebees and not gotten free refills. Tonight's visit reminded me why I never go to Applebee's anymore. Chips and salsa came with stale, unsalted tortilla chips and a half-filled tiny salsa cup. My fire-grilled steak was mushy, sinewy, and gray. Zero fire-grilled flavor. Zero flavor. Only tasty item I had was the green beans. My dining companion enjoyed the brisket tacos. Go figure. While we usually avoid these family chain restaurants, we had an opportunity to visit here tonight and were very pleased. Our burgers were perfectly cooked to medium, with juices dripping on ultra fresh buns. Ribs were perfect, fall off the bone with just a little pull and the sauce was not overly sweet. Salads and sides were great and overall our dinner was accurately made to order and fantastic. Didn't want to spend a fortune and the value here was incredible. To my surprise the food was still great despite how affordable our meals were. The staff were very courteous and attentive throughout service. Cleanup could have been a little better but they were starting to get busy, so nothing to cry over. This is a kid friendly family restaurant but didn't feel overrun or noisy becusse of how the table seating layout and glass dividers are designed. Very smart. read more

Good and service was good. When I received the check, I handed my waiter a discount card that my friend had given me as a gift this past week. My waiter refused to take it, saying that it was a scam and that my friend had wasted her money on it. This discount card is a reliable source as seen from the card and I have used it at this Hicksville location previously. I did not appreciate this and was very disappointed. It's been a while since I have been to this location and I realized why I stopped going. I never mind having to wait if it's crowded, but we waited about 15 minutes for so (not bad) but there were at least 5 or 6 open tables. I just think they were short staffed. In fact I think they were short on plates and silverware as well since it took us a while to get those and we noticed the other tables were waiting on getting their silverware after their food was served. Just from observing how disoriented the entire staff was we decided to just get an appetizer and leave. Food was so so. It will probably be a few years before I visit this location again. Also, other Applebee's seem to have a better craft beer selection on tap. read more
