JoJo deserves a special mention because he is truly one of the most humble and gracious owners you could ever meet. You can tell how much pride and heart he puts into this place, and that energy carries through the entire staff. Now the food. The special steak sandwich just hits differently, especially with the cheese fries. The wings are an absolute must. I always get them extra wet, well done, and crispy, and they come out with the perfect flavor every single time. The Mexican street corn dip is incredible, the special egg rolls are always worth ordering, and honestly, everything on the menu from A to Z delivers. Even trivia night is such a great time. Good place to watch the Jets lose. Just don't expect much from the food…read more Went to The Main Event on a Sunday with a few friends for lunch and, naturally, to watch the Jets lose another game. At least we had plenty of TVs. Honestly, the place gets that part right. You can see a game from just about any seat in the house, and we were seated promptly when we arrived around 12:30. Unfortunately, the service and food were a bit of a different ballgame. Our original waitress apparently decided she'd seen enough of us shortly after the food arrived. She disappeared, and we eventually had to recruit another server just to get back into the service rotation. The beers, thankfully, were cold and refreshing. Probably the highlight of the meal. As for the food, let's just say it wasn't exactly a highlight reel. The chicken wings tasted like they came straight out of a frozen bag, the giant pretzel seemed to have taken a trip through the freezer before making a brief stop in the microwave, the sliders were bland, and the nachos were very soggy. We also ordered a couple of chicken wraps to share. Those were actually decent and a noticeable step up from the rest of the lineup. Bottom line: Great setup for watching sports, cold beer and food that makes you wish you had ordered another round instead. I'd come back to watch a game. I'd just eat somewhere else first. The Jets weren't the only disappointment on Sunday.

Arriving, the space is bright and airy. At the table there was a lovely potted plant with our reservation name which we were able to take home with us. Such a nice touch. The trivia was really fun and something different to do. We started off with the maple bacon donut holes for the table. They came out piping hot and had the perfect donut texture. They were so good. They have a lot of cocktails and cocktails to choose from. I opted for the Spritz which was a light Aperol Spritz and it was perfect for brunch. The Paloma was also quite good. I had the Tap Stack which was pancakes layered with bacon and topped with a corn flake crusted chicken cutlet. The portion was large and hearty. The chicken was so crunchy and yummy. The bacon was perfectly cooked. The pancakes were a bit on the tough and dry side. The breakfast burrito, BEC and brunch burger were all good and everyone enjoyed their meals. Mother's Day is a day I always avoided eating out on, but Taproom changed my mind about going out on Mother's Day could actually be enjoyable!

He explained that the food was fried and no bug could have gotten in it. He was giving out party attitude and snarked at every remark. This bar changed hands a few times, but the current owner, knows what he's doing. The main floor was modern and clean. The place seemed capable of hosting football games. On one negative. I only wish, they gave you more blue cheese. Lastly, the burger, was ordered. I asked for a custom burger, this is a better option, if you want to decide what kind of burger you want. The French fries and the burger were A plus! I definitely appreciated the recommendations I will be back. The food iis the main attraction.
