Wings, anyway you want them.

After movies, The Main Event Restaurant in Farmingdale. Great sports bar, so many tv's, greeted and welcomed, no reservations. Party of 6, sat right away. A great place for burgers and wings. Our waitress made us feel welcome and all the food was cooked perfectly.

Overall...for this visit...will brand this restaurant the Stain Event There was a kids party while we were having a lunch and it was so loud I had to holler to be heard and couldn't hear what was being said to me. Check out my decibel meter screen shot. Service was good to great. She came by often and seldom let my glass run dry. The food was eh. Wings were good but not great. Potato skins were lukewarm warm and the cheese had congealed. Salad had some browns but was good. IF YOU LIKE MY REVIEWS PLEASE FRIEND ME and ask to be notified!

Marinated Steak Tidbits

I recently visited The Main Event in Farmingdale and had a great time! One of the highlights was the numerous TVs available to catch any sporting event. I ordered the steak tidbits, which were delicious and cooked to perfection. I also tried the fried clam strips, which were good but slightly overcooked. The atmosphere was fun and energetic, making for a lively dining experience. The service was good, but our server could have been a bit more attentive and checked in with us more frequently. It's a great spot to catch a game or meet friends for a casual dinner. Its great for kids too - they have a great kids menu and our kids had a lot of fun watching sports while eating dinner. The restaurant also has a large bar area, perfect for adults to hang out and enjoy a drink. Overall, I would recommend The Main Event for a fun night out and some great food.

Went here to visit some old friends and watch the Yankee game. TVs all over the place. Not a bad seat in the house. Probably a great spot for Sunday football. We ordered a bunch of food, I had the roast beef dip. Very good. Big pretzle was good also. We had a great server, beers were cold, food was good, great company, Yankees game. Couldn't ask for anything more. If I was still on Long Island , it would be a regular spot to watch sports.

It's obvious lol

Greetings Fellow Yelpers, My 1st review of 2024 ( I've been busy) Met a large group of friends for Super Bowl LVII . It was my first time visiting this venue which is an open atmosphere with 2 bars and dining room seatings along with patio seating in the warm months an quite an ample parking lot. I had already eaten at an earlier get together so I didn't order any food. I picked on some group apps which were good. I will update this review on food on my next visit . TV's are plenty full and it was a very comfortable atmosphere. Bartenders were pretty good considering it was a group of 25+ Very clean venue with spotless restrooms. Shout out to Mike the owner who made his presence know making all facets of the night were good . The kitchen did get backed up for about 45 minutes but you were alerted prior to ordering. Kudos. It was Super Bowl Sunday and busy!

We had our daughter's first birthday party here, and it couldn't have been more perfect. The staff at the main event was so incredibly helpful and even helped us hang banners and do everything we needed to do to prepare for the party. They were always available whenever we had questions before the party and were extremely accommodating. Everyone was raving about the food and how it was the perfect space for a birthday party. We actually had access to two huge rooms, which was great for various entertainment we had, and they were able to close off one room with shades to make it more private. I would highly recommend an event here, and Gina, the manager, was incredible to work with!

When our company has holiday parties this seems to be one of the go to restaurants. From the bartender to waiters and busboys the service was good. The ambiance is busy with all of the winter holidays coming up and there is a screen in every viewpoint. The food was delicious I finished my plate, some of the best eggplant parm I've ever had.

Calamari and baked clam !!

Great selection and their Greek style food is A+ Lobster bisque has large chunks of lobster and was creamy and delicious. I also enjoyed the chicken souvlaki platter which was massive and comes with Greek salad and fries - the best meal I've had so far was their Romanian steak they had on special - hopefully they will have it again sometime!

Stopped in with a friend and expected bar food but was surprised how extensive the menu was with plenty to chose from... there was a prime rib dinner on the specials and asked for an end cut and was delicious with charred Brussels and a great house salad a most enjoyable dinner

Amazing place to watch the games. Wings are one of the best here but the buffalo chicken sliders on pretzel bun are the best.

It's the kind of place you walk into and immediately know you're in for a laid back fun time. The ambience is classic Hooters bright TVs everywhere lively energy and that casual sports bar vibe where you can kick back relax and enjoy some good old comfort food. It's not fancy but it's not trying to be and that's why it works. The service here was pretty good overall. The staff was friendly and upbeat and made sure everyone felt welcome. There were a few moments where the timing was a little off whether it was waiting a bit for refills or food taking slightly longer than expected but nothing that ruined the experience. The servers do their best to keep the energy high and make sure you're taken care of and you can tell they're working hard even when the place gets busy. Now let's get into the food because that's really why you go. The wings were solid flavorful and cooked just right and the sauce options are always a fun part of the experience. The buffalo shrimp is a sleeper hit crispy spicy and addictive. The burgers and sandwiches were decent nothing mind blowing but definitely satisfying especially when paired with a cold drink and a game on the big screens. And of course the curly fries deserve their own shoutout crispy salty and impossible to stop eating. The vibe at this location is exactly what you want from a Hooters. It's lively without being overwhelming great for grabbing drinks with friends watching a game or just hanging out after a long day. You know what you're signing up for and this spot delivers it with a smile. Overall this Hooters earns a solid four stars from me. The food hits the spot the atmosphere is fun and the service is good enough to keep things moving even on their busier nights. It's not perfect but it's definitely a place you can count on for a good time and some dependable wings. I'll be back the next time I'm in the mood for a casual no stress night out.

Enjoyed a great Sunday Brunch at The Tap Room in Farmingdale. I've been here before for some drinks…read moreand apps, but since we are holding my bridal shower here in June, we wanted to go for brunch to get a better feel for that menu. Our server Jacqueline was very sweet and attentive. We had ordered a cider flight. 3 out of 6 tasted like an IPA and we asked to swap it out. They were very accommodating and swapped it without question. Our guests' Bloody Marys were strong and spicy. We tried the short rib skillet, short rib sliders, American breakfast and breakfast burrito. The short ribs were soft and tender and the garlic Parmesan potatoes were AMAZING. (My mom actually went and spoke to the event manager to make sure we could have them at my shower.) The bacon was crispy and eggs cooked perfectly. Brunch prices were very reasonable considering the portions and quality. Overall, it was a great brunch experience and we can't wait to come back!

First off, I hold Tap Room to a very good standard as I have been to the Huntington and Bayshore locations and have had great experiences however I was not a fan of the Farmingdale location food wise. I went about three weeks ago and had a pretzel and a whiskey burger. The pretzel was delicious but the burger was tasteless. I thought that maybe its an off-day or something. I came back this past week and had the 20 for $20 wing special. My wings were dryer than the Sahara Desert. I chewed them and had to spit them out. I feel bad saying this but im still going to come back. The food is typically good, great deals on drinks, the staff are always friendly, but the food lately was not good. I will definitely be back for a third try.

My brother has always wanted to try this place, but we never had a chance to actually step foot inside the Library Cafe. As the name suggests, the restaurant sits at the site of the old town library, and the bar area has tall shelves and a rolling ladder to pay homage to the name. To maximize the restaurant week menu, three of us tried different appetizers. The ahi tuna taco was the best of the lot- crispy shell and nicely prepared tuna filling. The Thai calamari was a little too overcooked and the sweet sauce was cloying. I didn't get to try too much of the French onion soup because my dad almost inhaled it whole, but it was gooey and comforting. I had the honey-soy glazed salmon with broccolini. The salmon was a little dry, but the glaze and cashew went well with it. Maybe a touch of spice could have improved the dish. The broccolini was nicely textured and not too bitter. My mom's fish and chips were underwhelming, though the not-proper "chips" were well fried and seasoned. It was not served with vinegar either. My brother had the Buddha bowl which he enjoyed and felt was a good health conscious option. I did love that they allowed my dad -- who was not feeling too well-- to order just an entree while the rest of the table had the restaurant week menu. I know some restaurants require all members of the table to order off the prix fixe menu sometimes. He had the burger, which was cooked very precisely to medium-rare. We did have dessert though we were stuffed at this point. The sticky toffee pudding cake was lovely, moist, and so decadent without being overly heavy. I ordered the wild berry cheesecake, and while the clearly house made berry compote was a nice touch, it was just a little underwhelming next to the sticky toffee pudding. Overall, we had a good time at the Library Cafe, and though service was a little slow due to sudden rush of diners, it was a fun little weekday dinner. I did see signs for their happy hour, which I'd love to try-- especially their cocktails named after writers!

Never went to a bar that needed a rolling ladder to access the top shelves. The high ceilings ( believe it was a renovated library ) even allowed for a small sailboat to be displayed above the main entrance foyer. Shout out to the staff. We were immediately welcomed by the bartender and informed we could sit anywhere rather than wait to be seated. Our server Annie was exceptional: welcoming, friendly and attentive with some appreciative suggestions from the menu. The menu, excluding the St Patrick's March Menu, was your typical American bar pub food fare: appetizers, sandwiches, burgers and limited entrees. Started off with the onions soup which was cheesy but light on onion slices but very good. Passed on the St Pats March Menu ( except for the Guinness beer ) and stuck with sandwich options. The sandwiches came with a side ( other sides available with an up charge). The sliced steak sandwich, roast beef French Dip sandwich and classic burger were all cooked to perfection and served with either a salad or waffle fries. The Library features an extensive cocktail menu with creative names of famous authors and even novels. In addition there is a separate open air event area ( above and overlooking the restaurant floor ) for private events or parties. Overall a great place to grab a drink and enjoy some good food that's reasonably priced. Definitely will be back when in the area again. One note Street parking is limited but there are municipal parking lots nearby.
