First off, we made a reservation less than 24 hours ago knowing it was last minute and for Valentine's Day. Long story short, they were short staffed but not a shocker for the industry or holiday. That being said, the staff was absolutely amazing. Everyone's working in overdrive and you can't ask for more. Our waitress Melissa was absolutely awesome despite having a bunch of tables on a crazy night. She was super sweet and helped us navigate a very inviting menu with so many tempting options. Appetizers, we did the burrata and the Cupid salad off the special menu. Both were delicious and plenty of food for first plates. Dinner, Pork Ossobucco was unreal. I definitely need a nap after eating that monster. My wife got the pork cappraciossa and it was also delicious. The tartufo dessert was also a very nice way to wrap up a great meal. Were wait times a little extended tonight? Absolutely. Was that at any fault of the staff? No chance. We are super appreciative to have such friendly and hard working people working a "holiday" and Friday night while juggling such a rush of people. 10/10 on the food. 10/10 on the staff. 10/10 our food. We'll be back. Thank you, Melissa for making tonight a great night out.

Very nice restaurant the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is very clean and spacious.

Stopped by for a quick lunch at Ruggero's the other day. The server was very sweet and I love the overall look of the business! It's located in the East Wind Shops and has a nice greenhouse room attached to it (wish I got a picture!) My mom and I started off with the Mozzarella Fritta which was delicious. We each got a Neapolitan flatbread for our entrees which was pretty good, and my mom loved her Garden Salad! It's her favorite thing to get there.

3.8/4 This was a hard one. A step up from our dinner at Ragazzi but still lacking in flavor for the dishes. I have to say our sever was one of the best I've ever had. He was funny, charming, quick and helpful. My two cons were the tortellini I got was a little bland. Needed something I'm not sure what but SOMETHING. Also maybe it's an unpopular opinion but I hated the bread and butter. No thank you. And unfortunately my Diet Coke was going flat. That being said our calamari was great (had tentacles, yay!) and my boyfriend enjoyed the linguini with clam sauce. I definitely wanna come back and try it again!

Had lunch at Ruggiero's for the first time. Very disappointed, and will not be going back anytime soon. My friend and I were there for over 2 hours! It took about 30+ minutes to bring out 3 tiny pieces of an eggplant rollatini appetizer. The fried calamari was rubbery and barely warm. Mini cannolis tasted a little stale. There were about 4 other tables that were occupied with 2 guests, so being busy was not an excuse. Last time we dined there for dinner, the experience was ok. The dining area is open and sometimes gets loud.

Penne a la vodka - where's the sauce?!

Total disappointment with this place. I should've listened to the reviews before coming here. First off, we arrived early to our reservation and were promptly seated, so the first impression seemed a little promising. Wrong. We did not have our waiter come to us for a good 15 minutes and that's only because I had to flag someone down. Monday is pasta night, so a drink, salad, main dish and a choice of dessert came with my meal. I ordered a coke which tasted absolutely awful. It must have been an off-brand because it was not the normal flavor. To pass the time, I asked for an order of garlic knots which THEY. DO. NOT. HAVE! What?! How do you call yourself an Italian restaurant if you do not serve garlic knots??!! That's a first! Caesar salad came out which was fine. I mean, how can you mess that up? My boyfriend ordered a chicken dish which he said was pretty good. My pasta was horrible! The sauce was completely absent so I had to FLAG our waiter down to see if they can bring out extra sauce. Still, was not good even with the ridiculously chunky sauce. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate cake and my boyfriend ordered chocolate ice cream with chocolate sauce. Ice cream comes out and of course it's without the sauce. We predicted something would be messed up at that point. Cake was pretty good and I'm just guessing that's because it was not made in-house. Save yourself the trip and don't go here! To the employee below: obviously, explaining my pasta was lacking sauce and correcting our order meant everything was NOT fine!

They arrived in these clear plastic, faded/worn out old cups, yuck. Is that the best you can do? Time to update your cups. Maybe try new glasses? The server put a plastic no-name brand ketchup (I guess too cheap to buy a decent ketchup for your customers like Heinz?) on the table with napkins as we waited a whopping 35 minutes to get a couple hamburger orders to our table. We said to each other, "these better be the best hamburgers we ever had for this wait time". Guess what? The burgers were not good at all. Boring, zero effort put into making them, no flavor in the "marinated" burger, what a shame. We can make a better burger from frozen burgers at home. Insulting honestly, to think people are that stupid to think this is acceptable at a restaurant for $16.95. Ordered Medium-well but was basically well done. A lame toasted deli roll (didn't even taste that fresh) was used as a bun for the burger, a few pickle slices that were just edible, and the potato salad was all mashed up (like eating watery mashed potatoes. It was awful, you had about 2 small pieces of potato and the rest was "slushy". Are the chefs even looking at what they are serving? Is it realized that there is competition out there that actually puts pride into the food they serve? Glad we didn't order the German food that was on the menu, because we'd have to assume it wouldn't be any good. If you can't cook a burger, how can you cook specialty dishes? The server was friendly, but disappeared for most of the time....well, what can you do when your customers are waiting 35 minutes for burgers? I'd just go to a diner next time and most definitely get a better burger or something else! Overall, thumbs down. Maybe in the past this place was ok, but now it offers no reason to go.

We were told that Watermark was five minutes away, and people liked it. We verified that in Yelp, and sure enough, let's go. This is not the sort of place you'd find by accident - on a minor coastal road and pretty much off by itself. The parking lot was so packed that we had to give up on it and park on the road. We were told that there would be a slight delay for a table, but seeing the enthusiastic crowd, we figured it might be worth it. It was. We got a really great roomy table, and our server was a gem. Looking back over the reviews here, we got their star quarterback in Connor, who sat down at a spare chair and talked to us about what to eat. Within two minutes, we were old friends. I'm a big fan of originality in menus, and they had it to spare. I ended up with the fried chicken sandwich and Donna had the Left Coast sandwich. Ham turkey and swiss on crainberry bread. They were both delicious and too much for one sitting. Connor even offered to wrap my mayo. The vibe was enthusiastic but not horribly loud, the food was unifromly great and the service was superior. We now have a go-to place in the Riverhead area.

I had my wife pick up beer on the way home from work, and I made sure she checked the date code on the bottom of the can, because when you're paying almost $30 for a 4 pack of beer, you should check to make sure it hasn't been sitting on the shelf for months. So your condescending comments about people checking the date codes (specifically on the brand of craft beer she was purchasing), and that they don't even know what they're looking at, are unnecessary and unappreciated. It would be one thing if you were trying to offer guidance (which there would be no guidance to offer about checking date codes, aside from "you should be checking date codes") but you were just being a dick. I guess you have 2 less customers to worry about checking date codes now.

When we entered the store, I asked the sales clerk if it was "Thrifty", and she said, "A hundred years ago." I laughed that off, but as we were looking for beer to purchase I noticed that no prices were posted anywhere for any of the beers. When I asked the sales clerk why she rudely said, "Our regular customers know this and that's how it's been." We obviously were not her regular customers. This establishment gets one star only for its craft beer selection. The female sales clerk needs lessons on how to be polite and respect the questions of those who are not the "regulars" or she should be fired if she can't change her attitude.
