Hidden gem! Whether you're new to the area or have been a local for years, great service & selection! People that say this is a semi great beer selection are wrong or are just brats! Local businesses that are beverage centers are getting harder to come by with big business being around. So if you're worrying about spending a dollar cheaper for basic watered down beer you're better off shopping at your supermarket but if you're looking for actual craft beer, especially from Long Island or tristate area come here ! Plus this is a gas station too ! Where else can you get your beverage ( alcohol & non alcoholic) dairy, eggs, bread, Propane refill & other market needs while supporting a local business! The person that said there's bad service ever think maybe it was your attitude? I was a no one, came there when they were closing up, could of said no we're closed but still let me get some stuff last minute! Also, the guy complaining about the Gadsden flag, 2 things : that flag was backbone of this country & 2, I bet if it was any other left leaning flag this wouldn't have been an issue! End rant. Me and my brother went there to return a lot of cans and the owner refused to take them because he said they were closed. It was 6:45 and they close at 9:00. The DEC requires owners to take the returns durn all store hours expect to the first hour an last. Witch my brother told him politely. Then he came running out of the store yelling at him "show be the law. Show me the law" and yelling that he has Ben in the business for a long time and that that's a lie. So we said fine we will take our business somewhere else. Then when he saw how much cans we had he said he would pay us for them. We said to late were leaving then he started screaming at us again. I will never return here and highly recommend that no one bring there business here. read more

Their beer selection is semi decent, but the service is unfriendly I walked into the store to find no one at the counter. Went outside and found a group of men hanging out drinking beer. When I asked if anyone could help me, one individual "Jay" indicated he was the owner and will be with me in a minute. About 5 minutes later he walked into the store and seemed annoyed that he had to leave his drinking buddies to help a customer. This place is awesome. They should be happy that liberals boycott. They don't work, and food stamps can't pay for beer. I will buy twice the amount to compensate for 100 liberals. Stop selling bottled water and iced tea and the liberals won't go. More of us will - the people that pay taxes and have money. read more

Best beer selection North of the Mason Dixon!!! Portly owner Jay is a terrific guy and has the knowledge and size of an elephant when it comes to beer. He even carried my six pack to the car! Now that's customer service at its best. Will be back this week for my fix of Golden Monkey!!! Village Beverage is a Wading River staple. Great beers, good guys. Can be a bit on the expensive side, but no more than anywhere else featuring the assortment these fellas sport. Also a wealth of information about the local beer scene. Worth a trip. read more
